This was a horrible experience from beginning to end. Our waitress/bartender brought out cold lobster bisque soup. If your going to serve the most expensive soup please make sure it's hot like what? My family and I ordered from RedLobster.com but, of course, it was outsourced to DoorDash. We spent a decent amount of money for below par food but I guess settling for below mediocrity is commonplace here in this region. We ordered three multi-course meals and our daughter had the only meal that was palatable (the wood grilled shrimp). The wood grilled tilapia was extremely dry & tasted like it was briefly submerged in dish water before it was cooked. The 'lobster' bisque tasted like Campbell's tomato soup with some cream added--no evidence of lobster was present. The 'Cajun' chicken pasta entree was overly salty & the linguini pasta was overcooked. The key lime pie was atrocious & fishy tasting...how did that happen? Lastly, the fudge brownie was immensely undercooked. So basically, I (the wife) 'enjoyed' my side salad and two broccoli florets...oh boy what a feast! My husband, on the other hand, enjoyed nothing and remains pretty ticked off. My boyfriend and I went here to eat for dinner last night. Just on a whim. DiAngelo, our server, was so nice. He went through our menu with us, checked on us often, and very helpful and chill. Our food was very hot and fresh tasting. The dragon broccoli starter was amazing. As we were leaving every staff member we walked by said to have a good night. We had lunch at the restaurant on Nov 16, 2019. We were seated at 1:00 pm, and the restaurant was fairly empty. We ordered our food ~1:15 and 45 minutes later we still had not received our food... a soup and salad. When the food did arrive, we had to search to find 5 very small shrimp in my wife's Shrimp Caesar salad, which was overall of very poor quality. I ordered the clam chowder, it arrived cold with a solidified "skim" on the surface.... likely from sitting in the back too long. I'm surprised this restaurant is still in business.... my recommendation is stay away.... there are better dinning options with much better service and quality. read more

Hello, For our families Easter dinner we decided to order Red Lobster and requested delivery. We placed the order online at 4:55pm requesting the food to be delivered around 6:15. Thirty minutes after the order was placed online I checked and it told me it was still "pending." I contacted the location (Springdale Road, Cincinnati) and spoke with the manager Liz. She was very friendly and helpful informing me that they had in fact received our online order and it was set to be picked up by the third party delivery service at 5:45. We live 12 miles from the store location (15 minutes). At 7:15 our delivery had still not arrived. I again contacted the store where the original order had been placed and spoke with Liz. Once again, she was very understanding and empathetic to our situation. She had checked the pick up time and the driver picked up our order at 6:00. It was now an hour past when the delivery should have been made. Liz explained that they use a third party delivery service and apologized for the inconvenience. She also was quick to point out that when and if our food did arrive it was obviously no longer going to be hot and fresh. She offered to duplicate our entire meal however since they were closing at 8pm we would need to pick it up. We appreciated her offer and at this point was starving. As my husband left to drive and pick up the order that had been placed over two hours prior our doorbell rang. I walked the 20 feet from where I was standing to our front door only to find a young man speeding off in his vehicle while our bag of food was tossed on our doorstep, in the pouring rain. I realize it is Easter and families have traditions. Although this is a strange adaptation to our normal traditions I also appreciate those who are still working hard to make money. That is why I originally added a $10+ tip to our order for our driver. Our meal was completely ruined because of the negligence of the third party delivery driver. I am requesting a complete refund for our meal and the tip that we generously offered. I would also like to point out that Liz was an absolute savior. She was kind, listened with attentiveness and apologized for our inconvenience. Even more importantly she stepped up as a manager and obviously was aware that she had the capability of rectifying the situation as much as she possibly could which as a customer is satisfying. I ordered curbside pickup at this location for a 6pm pickup. I called in upon arrival and was told it would be 5 more minutes. At 6:15 I called back in to find out when they were going to bring out my pickup, and was told they were on their way out. At 6:30, I was tired of waiting and entered the restaurant to pick up my order, where it appeared that the item were just being assembled for the to go bag. I ask to speak to the manager and was told by the lady assembling my food, that she could write the name of the manager down for me to call her later, because they were very busy. Yeah, it's a chain. You go to Red Lobster for seafood for the same reasons you go to The Outback to get a steak. A decent grade meal at a fair price. Red Lobster has done a decent job of juggling their menu around, and they have hit the homerun on a few of the more recent additions. The grilled options are awesome. We hit the Colerain location for dinner this past Saturday. We've eaten there regularly for years, but I wanted to have a fresh dinner before I reviewed it. The wait was reasonable considering that it was Saturday in the midst of Christmas shopping insanity. I figured that the place would be overrun with hungry shoppers from the mall, but times were running 20-30 minutes. For appetizers, we ordered a New England sampler... it seemed a little bit skimpy on portion sizes than in the past. Must be the economy. They're serving tartar sauce with fried crab and bacon wrapped scallops now? No seafood sauce, had to ask. Both of those were good though. The stuffed mushrooms were a bit on the small side, and there were certainly fewer of them. The Mrs. ordered a couple crab cakes, which were full of lump crab meat, but were very dry overall. Extremely dry, requiring copious amounts of remoulade sauce. Salads were standard fare... decent caeser salad but I am a complete stickler for salads. If it isn't cold and crisp, I am annoyed. The plates were lukewarm, and so was the salad and dressing. Room temp salad is my pet peeve. So no marks there. I did a wood fired grilled platter with shrimp, scallops, and a lobster tail with broccoli and some rice pilaf. The broccoli was overdone, period. Not even a bit of crisp zing to it. It was well on the way to being an ingredient in some broccoli & cheese soup or a topper for a baked potato, but as a standalone side. MEH! Otherwise, the shellfish was good. Shrimp not overdone, scallops were tasty, and the lobster on the grill... well it's pretty hard to screw that up. But the screw up came when I ordered a separate, whole steamed lobster to boot. Yeah... I was hungry. Wanna' make something of it? I should have known there was trouble when the waiter asked me if I wanted it grilled or broiled. I said, "huh? well however it comes", never had a grilled whole lobster before. Well it came... as a grilled tail. ARGH! It wouldn't have been so much of a problem except that #1 I ordered a whole lobster because I wanted claw meat as well and #2 we have two little ones (very little) and we have a specific amount of time that they are good for dinner... after that we start running into boredom/attention span issues. They're awesome for being 2 and 1... we're usually good for an hour to an hour and a half. The waiter assured me that they could get another one split and out quick. Fine. Do it. And indeed, they did a pretty good job of making it happen. The best part about eating a whole lobster in the midwest is the strange looks you get from people when you're crunching away at the cartilage on the tops of the legs to get the body meat. Even the manager stopped by and commented that I must be a professional lobster eater because he doesn't get very many people ordering a whole lobster. HUH? mmmkay... well it IS Cincinnati anyway... As for the dude staring at me the entire time in sheer horror a couple tables away... hey bro, live a little. Try something new for a change. So we ended up getting comped for dessert for the screw up, which made my wife happy because she thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate chip lava cake ice cream thingie. All in all, it was a decent time and the meal is good for the money. I am a hard grader and can't really give a chain too many props in general, which averages the score out to 3 stars, but I'll indeed go there again when I don't feel like waiting 3 hours for a table at Pappadeaux. read more

When I got to the bar, the bartender had an attitude (said to one of the staff behind my back that he's a bartender not a server). Came here the Friday after Valentine's Day, expecting a possible long wait. We were happy to only wait about 15-20 mins for a booth for 2. We were very happy where we were seated, however, the dimness of the light above our table kept changing the whole dinner. It was a bit irritating, but not a huge problem. We had an excellent server! It was obvious she was very busy, but she did a great job making sure we had everything we needed and gave us plenty of cheddar biscuits! She also provided us with an extra plate since we were sharing our meal (Seaside Shrimp Trio). The meal did not take long at all to come out and it was delicious! Our waitress made sure to check on us throughout the meal, she was awesome. We had a wonderful time at this location. All of the staff seemed very friendly, greeted us and noted when we left. Can't even rate this place... Upon arrival we checked in with total of eight people. When we were seated we told them it was just seven, the other party didn't want to come. They had two waiter's at first,then when they found out we were a group of seven they put us with just one waiter. Clearly she couldn't handle seven people on her own. We ordered our drinks and also appetizers and asked for some biscuits. She brought us our drinks and water still no biscuits, then our appetizers come out from the manager. The manager pointed to the server and said she'll get you some I said no she won't, we asked her and she still haven't bought any. The manager brings the biscuits, about 15 to 20 minutes went by, she came to our table and said please don't be mad at me but I forgot to put the order in by this time we realize we were sitting there for over an hour. We tell her our order again and then she still didn't ask me how I wanted my steak. We end up ordering another drink to try to kill some time because I said if I'm feeling it maybe I won't notice how long I'm sitting here before I get some food. We're waiting and waiting and waiting half an hour ago by here comes the food, but all the orders was messed up. They are so light and fluffy, and cheesy, which is great because I love cheese. I had a salad which was fine, the usual with blue cheese dressing. Everything on their menu is surrounding seafood. But they do have hamburgers, steak, chicken, and pasta. I got the chicken alfredo which was delicious. It was prepared well and and hot straight from the kitchen.
