We definitely enjoyed our food and the place was clean. Are server was nice and everything was good! Would definitely go back.

We have eaten here 10 or 12 times in the last 3 or 4 years. The food is usually pretty good and the service is also. I usually get a salad plus the 2 piece fish dinner with 2 sides--fillets are large and enjoyable. Our server today was Denise who was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, something happened today that I can honestly say has not happened to us in at least 10 years and since we eat out almost all of our meals, that would encompass about 5000+ restaurant visits. My wife and I went to the hostess stand about 12:30 or so. The hostess was Vickie. We said that we would like a table (as opposed to a booth), and she said that she would try to find us one. At least 3 empty tables were visible from the hostess stand. Then she disappeared into the kitchen area and came back about 3 or 4 minutes later with a paper towel in her hand that she was drying her hands with--hmmm-bathroom visit, maybe? Why the need for deception? Then she led us back to a booth. My wife said "I said a table, not a booth." She then had a hissy fit, stepped back, threw her hands up and said "THERE'S a table" She didn't even bother picking up the menus and silverware from the booth, so my wife had to do that. I thought it would end there, but it didn't. A couple minutes later she returned to our table and announced "I talked to the manager to come to your table--I don't think you needed to holler at me--I'm trying to do my job the best I can." No one hollered. Yet. And my wife said "No need for a manager."Apparently an apology for HER mistake was not in her arsenal. ( In any case, no manager ever arrived.) After another minute or so of my wife and her going back and forth, I finally got pissed, extended both my arms out and said "ENOUGH--JUST LET IT GO !!" Well, that defused the situation, but most of the couples we know would have gotten up and left at that point. The rest of our visit was uneventful, except that our orders weren't even taken for a solid 30 minutes after we walked in. And we saw the hostess taking to who was to be our server. Another reason why others would have left. Thirty minutes to take your order is intolerable. One of the long term servers that always recognizes us and talks to us when we're there came over to the table and chatted with us--she is now a team leader for the servers. She knows us to be ideal patrons and good tippers who don't complain. I did not say anything about the incident, but I did ask the hostess's name. The bottom line here is that Ms. Vickie the hostess (who has worked there quite a while) needs a serious attitude adjustment and some lessons in customer service, before she is rude ,needlessly provocative and alienates any more customers. My wife thinks that we will not return here. I wouldn't say that, but if another such unnecessary and regrettable incident occurs here, not only will it be our last visit, but a written and very detailed letter (rare, nowadays) will be sent to corporate and heads will probably roll. read more

The first thing I noticed when we sat down was a dust bunny floating down to our table from the paddle fans above us. The next thing I noticed was how incredibly hot it was in the restaurant. Our order came and it smelled so good! Unfortunately, the fries were soggy and cold. My companion had the same issue with their fries. My half slab of ribs were not fall off the bone tender. The were tough and bits were crunchy from being burnt. The flavor wasn't good or bad. It was bland except for the crunchy burnt bits. I could only choke down 3 ribs as I hoped the whole time they would get better. They did not. My companion said his burger was "nothing to write home about," but he was at least able to finish the burger even though the fries were mostly left on the plate. It was a disappointment from start to finish. The waitress was attentive enough and pleasant, so that was a plus. read more

David was friendly and our food was fresh and hot. My chicken was a little salty, but I think that's my preference. My favorites are the broccoli cheese casserole and the carrots. I usually get a veggie plate with double both sides. We went while it wasn't crowded around 4pm. Atmosphere was pleasant in the bar area and not too loud. read more

Staff here is always so incredibly nice. We visit for my cousin's birthday each year and always have a good waiter. The food isn't anything special but I always love the drinks. greeted promptly upon arrival and sat almost immediately around 6pm on a tuesday. server came over and got drinks and croissants and cheese bites within minutes. salads came out right on time and absolutely delicious. the white fish was crispy and crunchy and seasoned perfectly, not too much not too little. the fries were great and plentiful. i was stuffed about halfway through but everything was so good i went ahead and finished anyway and everything was amazing so i got the fried apple pie to go. service was great, food was great, a nice ambiance and enjoyable evening. for the price and service this is definitely going into rotation as a regular dinner spot. thanks everyone. read more

I don't frequent many chain establishments but this one gets two thumbs up from me. My beautiful wife is fond of cheddar's so she wanted to introduce me. We were bummed to find out the ranch dressing has been altered over time. However the food was satisfying. I had a side salad which was nice and cold. We also had the spinach artichoke dip. Not sure want makes it Santa Fe style as ours did not come with salsa. Still it was tasty and had sour cream. The chips were crispy and not too salty. The star of the show was the buffalo chicken wrap. The tenders were bomb. The pickles and cheese it comes with were a nice touch. The New Orleans pasta was good although I wish it had more sausage and was not ziti. The shrimp in it was very good. We balled out and had The cookie sundae thing and it was great. Good service. This place is definitely getting five stars from me! After visiting one of the local museums, my wife and I stopped by here at the recommendation of a co-worker. From the moment we entered, we were impressed by the restaurant's design. My wife, being a fish lover, was really into the double-sided fish tank. Once seated, our very gracious server Wesley took the time to go over the menu with us while making his suggestions. We decided on the Steak & Ribs, mashed potato, and broccoli casserole. Normally we get different items and share to get a broader experience, but by his description, we both were eager to have our own plates. He convinced us to start with the honey butter croissants for our appetizer and yes, they were amazing! I'm glad the order didn't take long because we would have made a meal out of that alone! I'm a bread eater and this was about as good as you can get when it comes to a croissant: hot, steamy, flakey, and caressed in honey butter. Both the steak AND the ribs were tender, flavorful, cooked to perfection and wonderful with their aftertaste. Add the incredible broccoli casserole and mashed potatoes (which weren't lacking in the least) and you've got one great experience. We try to visit a different spot each time we go to a city, but that's going to be hard when we return to Cincy because I want that exact same meal, again and again! Cheddars was delicious... we had great service and truly, the food is so tasty. I was unable to take a photo of the honey butter croissants because we devoured them so quickly. They were so soft and buttery and sweet, I had to order another serving. The spinach dip is the best I've had, and the salsa that comes with it was just the right balance of heat and flavor. The chicken strips are the star, they are delicious. I look forward to returning when I am back in the area. read more

My husband and I both ordered combos. I got the ribs and chicken, he got the ribs and shrimp. His ribs came out way undercooked. The meat was pink. We usually don't send food back because I'm in the industry, and I understand. The server offered to put his ribs back on the grill. I thought that was disgusting, because he picked over them trying to eat them. After I asked her to get him a fresh one, she then came back out to the table and agreed with me. She brought them back, along with a carry out container, assuming we were ready to go. No manager ever came to the table to apologize, nor was there not a manager, out doing table touches. The restaurant was not clean, the table we sat at, wax dirty, we had to ask the server to wipe it off, then she gave the towel to my husband to clean the back off, because it was a 6 top booth and she couldn't reach back there. Unbelievable. That is not the service we are used to when dining there. Maybe they're getting too relaxed. Where has customer service gone too? This would never happen at our restaurant. I met my aunt here for dinner the other night. It was fairly busy, but we luckily didn't have a wait like larger groups were experiencing and were seated right away. Service was, expectedly, a little slow, but our server was attentive enough that we were able to order a soon as we knew what we wanted. We decided to split everything, so that we could try multiple items this visit. For an appetizer, we shared the queso, it had good flavor, and the consistency was fairly creamy without being too thick. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and Monte Cristo for entrees. Both very generous portions and we could have easily made a meal out of just one of them. We are both a fan of Buffalo chicken wraps in general, and there's are a hit. Lots of filling in the wraps, and great flavor! The Monte Cristo is something neither of us had ever had before, and it was good, but not something I would want leftovers of again. The fries were good, but definitely came from different batches, as they were noticeably different in temperature. I've always had positive experiences at this location, and do enjoy the food any time I've been here. read more

Typically I get the salmon and shrimp meal with a cream sauce and rice, 2 sides. Very good and consistently well made. I have opted for other dishes and there has been portion issues in the past. This current visit was takeout for the kiddos. I like bones in my chicken, but the tenders were a hit across the board as were the beans and rice and honey, butter croissants. No one was a fan of the broccoli casserole, which left a lot to be desired and the buffalo sauce had a strange taste. I'll be back for my salmon! read more

My husband and I stopped here for lunch and we were really hoping it wouldn't be a long wait, as we were on our way out of town. We had tried to eat here on a Sunday night a few days earlier and, even with several empty tables in the place the hostess said it would be a 25 minute wait- at 8pm. We walked in today and were seated immediately. The hostess was very friendly. Our server was at our table right away and got our drink order. She came back with our drinks and those sinful croissants within minutes. We gave her our order- we ordered an entree with 2 white fish filets and 2 sides. We ordered a salad as one of our sides and ordered an extra salad. She brought those right away. I failed to get a pic but they were huge salads with mixed greens, grated carrots, boiled eggs, cheese, croutons and cherry tomatoes. Everything was very fresh. Our entree came and she brought the extra plate with it. This is always a plus because sometimes they don't and we have to wait for the extra plate. The filets were huge and piping hot. The green beans were seasoned nicely. The food was all delicious. We had an excellent server and great food that came in a timely manner. Definitely a pleasant experience for us. read more

I was having dinner with my sister and we were talking after dinner. We both had meals and drinks as well. The young waitress did a good job for us. As we were sitting there talking and waiting for our check that had not been brought to us yet, another waitress who had just come on duty (and I guess was going to have that table) came over to us and told us that we needed to leave because we were HOGGING her table and there were people waiting in a line. The waitress we had came over after that and asked if we needed anything else. I asked for the manager. When I told the manager what happened..he apologized but I got the feeling he was not going to do anything. I felt very unappreciated as a customer. read more

Today was not my first visit to Cheddar's but it was definitely the best. (I have to be honest and say that I was quite unimpressed with my first dining experiences here but after this latest visit, I will definitely be back.) I ordered the bourbon-glazed salmon with corn and baby carrots as my two sides. My husband ordered the sirloin and chicken tender combo with the green beans and carrots. I loved the salmon, and the sides tasted fresh and were very flavorful. (The first time I ever dined at Cheddar's, I didn't care for the vegetables at all. Tonight, I was pleasantly surprised.) My husband commented that his sirloin steak was one of the best he's ever tried. The chicken tenders were really crunchy and flaky on the outside while remaining moist inside. Our only criticism is the heavy breading. To top things off, we had to try one of the new mini cakes for dessert. We ordered the Cheddar's Painkiller Mini Cake. It was really good, and just the right size. When we return, we'll try the chocolate raspberry option. Our waitress deserves kudos. She was pleasant and friendly and checked back with us often. Grilled Chicken Pecan Salad If you have never been to Cheddars Scratch Kitchen you're really missing out. They serve up some of the best comfort and casual dining. And all for a cost that won't break the bank. Think Texas Roadhouse but without the Tex-theming. They serve you warm honey-butter, drizzled croissants before your meal that are as light, fluffy and flaky as you can imagine. For my meal I ordered the grilled chicken salad and let me be the first to tell ya, this was not your typical rubbery chicken patty that some places try to pass as protein. This was juicy, and crisp from pan searing! And the candied pecans adorned on top were plentiful and some of the largest and best I've ever had. The honey mustard that they serve on the side has a bit of a horseradish taste so you may want to sub for another if you're not a fan of that flavor. Needless to say I'd still order this again and can't wait to try another dish. FYI-their Buffalo chicken wrap is off-the-chain and definitely enough for two meals so a big bargain there! And you can pay for your tab/tip directly at the table with their seat side computer system that's similar to a standalone tablet if you're in a pinch or just don't want to wait for someone to walk away with your credit card. I have to downgrade my rating for the mere fact that they've now eliminated their only vegetarian entree! I used to always get the Baked Spasagna, but I didn't see it on my most recent visit. I asked our server, and she said it had been replaced with a meat-based entree (I think it was something with chicken). I was thoroughly disappointed. Relegated to the appetizers section, I ended up with a very tall order of too greasy onion rings. Went to Cheddars for the first time this evening with my family and their families (7 of us). We had appetizers and dinner and a Pain Killer. The food was great, the appetizers (cheese curds & spinach dip with salsa and chips) was delish. Pain Killer hit all the marks. The exceptional part was the service, Chantia. Kind, helpful with menu and always timely with the service, drink refills, etc. helped with computer at check out. I tried to find her when we left to thank her, but didn't see her. It was my birthday this Friday. My son and I ordered a carryout of Cheddars 6oz sirloin steaks. I had not ordered any food from Cheddars, Colerain since last year at this time. We usually like the food. My son got a normal steak but mine was unrecognizable. When I touched it, it deflated and the inner part oozed out the sides. It kind of had the consistency of refried beans with no flavor. Or that it had been already chewed up, molded as a steak but only weighed a couple ounces. Venue: The decor looks nice but it's dirty. The floor needed to be swept. They took us to our table the top was clean the bottom was filthy. I like ambiance of the place but the menu was sticky and the upkeep was not happening. Idk if it was rush hour or whatever. It almost gave me the feel of a cheesecake factory but in smaller not as fancy way. The dress code was casual and some were dressy. So it's what you make it. Good for families or a date night. But they really need to keto the place clean. Price: The food was very well price. Like they have a trio sampler for 9.99. Most places it's close to 20. Pricing was great. You definitely could come on a date and have then order without breaking your pockets. Unlesssss they drink. Mixed drinks were ok priced. Don't drink so idk if they are priced well or not. Food.: Honey butter croissants were the bomb.....dang they were good. My pasta came out good but the first garlic bread was burnt. My friend got the ribs they were good. I recently went with staff during the weekday and early. It was pretty much empty inside. The staff seemed friendly. The server took my drink order then came back for my food. I had arrived a little later so the first set of appetizers came out as I was ordering. I received my drink fast but it took awhile for the appetizer. Eventually the server explained there was a delay on the appetizer but the actual food was ready and asked if the table wanted it now. I thought why would we wait and allow the food to get cold. Everyone said yes. There was a variety of things ordered and the group seemed overall happy with selection. There were a few items either mixed up or missed however like one person was missing both her sides. Someone else was missing a side. Another it was the wrong things. The staff was very accommodating and apologized for the mix up. They comped the appetizer which came out while the group was eating. Onion rings and spinach dip. The onion rings were awesome. The seasoning was really good and the onion was sliced thinly and batter was just right. The spinach dip itself was really good. The chips were not all that great with them but the dip could mask the chips taste. My strawberry lemonade was also good. Ordered the croissants to go because they are usually good. Overall good visit. I have to be honest not one of my favorite spots due to the limited menu for non beef and pork folks, like me. But it was a good experience. read more

The last time I ate at thus restaurant was about a year ago and I ordered some take out. Needless to say I was so disappointed that I didn't even eat it. So I was a bit leary when I went today. But to my surprise it was actually really good. First the salad was really fresh and crisp. I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich and it was really good. Ive had it at another place and thus one did measure up. I also got the Presidente Sangria...which was great. It's like a frozen wine drink...so it's hard to drink because you get brain freeze but it is delish. All in all it was a much better meal than the last time. I wouldn't recommend thier take out but if your willing to eat in (they do wear mask and space the seating) I would do that. The food is just better when you eat in. read more
