We spotted the iconic Big Boy statue outside Frisch's while driving and couldn't resist stopping. It's a classic piece of Americana and definitely caught our attention. We ordered one of the signature burgers, which comes topped with tartar sauce--a combination that was new to us but surprisingly tasty. When we first went in, I checked the breakfast bar and it looked decent. It did not stay filled even though the manager was loudly telling folks about it when we walked in. It's great to find a location that is still in operation. I went with a friend to catch up over some lunch - I got the big boy - they still use the original frischs tarter sauce which is nice - the burger was delicious and nostalgic. The fries were crispy and had the perfect amount of salt. I was disappointed to find they don't still carry their ranch - it is now generic kens from a bottle. The vegetable soup was as delicious as it has always been and the prices weren't terrible. My friend got the bacon cheeseburger , chili and over easy eggs with goetta and cherry pie. The cheeseburger and the goetta he saaid was delicious and of quality. The cherry pie on the other hand he couldn't finish. The service was nice enough - the waiter went out of his way for us but I didn't like the snarky comment he made about the amount of food my friend ordered. The place wasn't the cleanest but I also don't expect too much from frischs. All in all I am just happy this location is still operating. read more

We got the sausage egg and cheese with extra pickles. Of course, no pickles came on my sandwich nor were they in the bag. I had to get out of my car after going through the drive through. I hate that. I should have looked in the bag before I left the drive through but two things: I was trying to get out the way and second I placed full confidence in the staff to get it right. This deserves a half star. Ordered this in the drive-thru and by the time I got to my destination it was too late to return. About 3 miles down the road there was a foul smell in my car. It was very faint so I chalked it up to be coming from outside. The smell was intermittent for the duration of the ride. When arrived and final opened my carry out container the smell was profuse. It was the sausage links. I've gotten sausage links from Frisch's and they have never been this pale or weird looking. My breakfast dreams were ruined. Wow what incredibly crappy service. Pulled up to the drive thru at 2:30pm today. My wife (who is gluten free) wanted a salad, I thought this would be pretty darn simple. I am not gluten free. I've found it's usually best to double check to make sure something doesn't have gluten in it when getting something for her because I'm definitely less knowledgeable and it seems that many things one wouldn't expect have gluten. Me: Is your cobb salad gluten free Drive thru: I don't know Me: .....well can you find out? Drive thru: hold on I hear some noise in the background, and another voice gets on the intercom and says it contains gluten. I back out of the drive thru and leave. Later, I go online and look at Frisch's official list of allergens. Cobb salad has no gluten. Smh. read more

We have been in here several times in the last year and it is exactly as you would expect. Several weeks ago, we went through the drive through and they forgot our Hot Fudge Cakes. When we arrived at our destination, I called and Donna gave me a "credit". I wrote down a number on the original receipt and stuck it in my purse. I really never thought it made up for the error but today we ate lunch and when we were done I produced the receipt with the "credit" written on it. Our waitress, Julie immediately took care of it. We got a hot fudge cake to enjoy there and they pack one up us to take with us! Julie and Donna hit a home run! All Frisch's seem to consistently deliver good food at a good price. It's usually cooked right and it always seems to please us. But this location stands out because of the people who make it special. My husband and I stopped here for breakfast last Sunday after church. We ordered the breakfast bar which was a bad mistake. There were only a few hard biscuit, 2 greasy pieces of bacon, a few tablespoons of gravy, a few pieces of potato and eggs and the driest hardest sausage I have ever tried to eat. We told our waitress who was very nice and she told the kitchen. Slowly they brought out a few pieces of bacon and some new biscuits which were actually good. All in all it was the worst meal I have ever eaten in any restaurant. Our bill was $28.01 with no drinks. The manager? I guess was busy with a young man telling him he had to clean up the big awful mess in the men's restroom. I sent a letter to corporate but did not hear anything back. Twice I have had bad carry out from this restaurant. I will never eat at Frisch's again. read more

Are we talking about the same place? All the food at every Frisch's is identical. Most of the servers here are just great. But they must have gotten some new managers 5 years ago because the whole atmosphere has changed. Used to be much nicer. They STILL do not know how to keep the bathrooms clean. gross. But there are definitely a few grouchy looking manager types at the cash register. And be extra careful if you go through the drive through. At least 50% of the time, your order will be wrong and guess what? It's YOUR fault because they repeated the order into that horrible squawk box. I just took 5 children (ages 8-10) here, and actually had a great experience. I usually expect it to be a little crazy, but our servers (they had a shift change in the middle of our meal) and other staff members were so kind and patient. I was very impressed. Since it's so close to the house this is the only Frisch's my wife and I will go to. Angel is almost always our server and she, much like the food, is awesome. I'd give it a 5, but sometimes, very rarely though, do things happen that we don't like. But of all the Frisch's we could eat at, this is the only one that will get our business.
