I'll give them a 3.5 stars. Be nice if server would make a round with coffee. Had to ask twice for a refill. Their All Star Special is a good deal. Upgrade to a pecan waffle for fifty cents. Would have been nice if they were distributed evenly inside the waffle vs a big pile in the center. Grits instead of hashbrowns for me this morning. read more

Always reliable , clean, good service and value.Try the off menu Delmonico steak with eggs.

I had never previously been to Waffle House, but a friend of mine from the glorious city of Atlanta warned me: "it will not be good but that is part of the charm." I am inclined to agree. There is something very charming about the oddly small building for the massive sign, the friendly staff, and the average-to-mediocre diner-style food. The hash browns were nothing special, the waffle tasted like a hotel breakfast machine, you know the drill. But hey, now I've been to waffle house. It wasn't _good_ food but hey, I've had worse. read more

I love a Waffle House and this one is clean and bright. I was greeted upon arrival by Josh, a very professional server. My waffle was perfect and (as always) the coffee was strong and hot. Even the restroom defied expectations and was clean, well stocked and functioning! read more

Waiter was friendly, but seemed as if she was under the influence of something. The food was AWFUL. Quite a bit of our food was forgotten and they had to go back to make it. One order of bacon was raw, the other, as my daughter put it, was charcoal. Scrambled eggs were very watery and it was the worst hash browns I've ever had at a waffle house. Most of the tables were dirty, though there was only one customer in the restaurant. read more

me and my husband came here around midnight on the way home from the airport the day after new years. we took a seat at the bar counter and were immediately met with waters. it seemed there were only 2 people working (one taking orders and one cooking). we had a FANTASTIC time! from food to service to price, everything was excellent! 10/10 best late night snack ever! these two workers deserve a raise for their good attitude, hard working skills, and late night shift! read more

This was my first time trying Waffle House. I don't care what any of the other reviews say...the food and service were both excellent. Crispy hash-browns Crispy bacon Over easy egg Buttered toast Crispy fluffy waffle On this chilly morning it really hit the spot. The open kitchen is a plus - those cooks were working their butts off and killing it. Would definitely come back! read more

Just don't go. Tiny, old, unclean, inattentive staff. Servers please - if you are coughing, please stay home. Or at least wear a mask. Coughing into your sleeve does not make it better. Food is average. Napkins are ridiculously tiny & cheap, you need decent napkins when serving maple syrup. Antiquated practices - server has to wait until cook is finished preparing previous order before "calling out" new order. No screens. Very slow. Had to hunt down the sweetener for coffee. And continually ask for refills. And cream. Server keeps head down while cleaning, not attentive to customers. Had to ask for syrup FOR A WAFFLE - dispenser was disgusting. Dripping. Removed a hair from it. Didn't even venture into the bathroom, was afraid to. Overall just pretty gross. read more

Every time i come to a Waffle House up north, no matter how many times you tell them, they just can't get the shit RIGHT. Why do yall work somewhere if yall can't follow SIMPLE instructions let alone COOK SIMPLE FOOD. Hashbrowns are either over cooked or under cooked and the EGGS.... Yall just can't cook cheese eggs to save yall life, every time it's not done all the way. You tell them no toast and these hard headed things still put toast. Have your food just sitting out with NO top and look dumb founded when they don't get a tip. Hire people that actually KNOW how to cook SIMPLE food because this whole work crew is BLAND AND AWFUL just like the food they prepare. read more

It may not be the fanciest, and it may not be gourmet but you know what you are getting when you walk into a Waffle House. Some locations are better than others but this one rates as one of the better options. The food is consistent and the service is efficient. I typically get the Texas Toast breakfast sandwiches with the hash browns but you also can't go wrong with an Omelette (Fiesta add mushrooms). Not a bad place to people watch as well as you can get some interesting characters. They've set the place up nicely to deal with the COVID restrictions so I felt completely comfortable dining in person. read more

We ended up here because other restaurants were closed. Not my first choice and I don't expect much. There is one guy at the grill working his butt off. He leaves between orders for maybe a minute. The server doesn't even greet us. She doesn't clean a table for us. We sit and clean our own table. Takes her ten minutes to take our order. My eggs were wrong but they do refix them and they are okay. The hashbrowns were half burnt, half non cooked all the way. Had the wrong toast. Back was not done on the ends but half burnt in the middle. The guy is doing his best, but I just don't think he's a good cook. He needed help. The girl, in between orders stood over by the cash register facing the back wall. I'm not sure what she did for the hour we were in there but she didn't clean off tables. I watched two families stand by the door. She saw them and never said a word. There are three empty tables that she didn't clean. One sat uncleaned or at leas 45 minutes as the couple left right after we ordered. NO ONE cleaned the tables. BOTH families left without being talked to and there were there at least ten minutes. The one longer. Then a third group came in as we were leaving. She left them there and went back to doing nothing. read more

Waffle house is always great with amazing serving sizes. A bit of wait time and cooking time but they were understaffed, which is normal now so you cant hold them against that. The food itself was great and tasted great, and people can enjoy the smells and cooking sounds too. read more

Walked in and we were greeted. There were no tables and the counter was full of dirty dishes. A manager was using part of the lower counter as a work station. We sat down and waited for somebody to bus the counter or for a table to open. Finally a table left and we thought we would be seated. ( this location usually has a greeter that seats everybody) We sat for 5 minutes being completely ignored by the manager drinking his coffee and a couple of bored looking waitresses who were washing dishes. After 10 minutes of waiting for somebody to bus a table, we left... Disappointed to say the least, as this location has been a favorite of ours for many years... read more

We came her for my oldest boy who was going thru a procedure the next day and wanted to make sure he had what he wanted before the procedure. The food was okay although the restaurant was very loud consider it was just the crew and one other customer in the store. To be honest most of the noise was the customer but the employees were just as loud. The waiter had trouble hearing our order. Then when the waiter went to tell the cooks the order they couldn't hear him. I am really surprised my order was partially right. The noise wasn't the end of the world and honestly not that big of a deal. I ordered Philly bacon sandwich and Bert's chilis with cheese. The chili came out with no cheese and the sandwich had very little cheesesteak on it. My boy's waffle was good and no one else had complaints about the food. When the bill came it came out the full price which was an issue considering kids eat free that night of the week. It seems like this happens every time we have that special at Waffle House. Luckily that was another one of the reasons we came to this location. read more

I'm an out of town guest. My experience at this Waffle House was an example of blatant racism, at its best! When I originally placed my order for take out, I realized I left my wallet at my hotel. I asked the cashier if she could put the order through anyway, as my hotel was only across the street. She told me she would put my order through when I returned with payment. Fine. So I returned with payment only to be told by a manager in training by the name of Ryan that I had to wait until all of guests who were dining in were seated and served first, even if they arrived AFTER me. I told him where I come from, it's first come first served, regardless if a consumer is taking out or dining in. He then proceeded to tell me that all of the waffle houses in the United States are busy at this time and that I would need to wait. I asked him how would he know that? I was there for 20 mins so I asked him did he at least put my order through. He said "as I explained to you, you would need to wait." Words were exchanged so then I asked another staffer who was standing next to Ryan "are you guys going to allow him to stand here and argue with me knowing he's in the wrong?" So the woman, by the name of Jamie, stepped in and help (very pleasant woman). She took the order that I gave to Ryan and put in in for me. She told me to give her 5 mins. There was another woman there who was pleasant (I didn't get her name), but she at least offered me a beverage while I waited. She knew I was there for awhile. Jamie politely gave me my order and apologized. It wasn't her fault but I appreciated the gesture. I went back to my hotel room to find out that Ryan put in the WRONG order. I went back to the Waffle House at Mason and told Ryan that I will be reporting him to the corporate office and to the better business bureau. The next thing I know, a disgusting person by the name of JESS, who wasn't even involved in the situation, turned around and yelled at me and told me to "GET OUT" because I was disrupting their place of business. I told Jess I wasn't leaving until they gave me my money back and that I would be reporting her too. I'm not surprised to read bad reviews on other forums from people of color, as I am a Black woman. I am disgusted to see that in this day and age, we are still experiencing racism and discrimination. Since I was a young girl, I've loved going to the Waffle House. However, this horrible experience confirmed that black faces aren't welcome. read more

If I could sum up the experience in one word, joke! Waitress didn't acknowledge my party for 30 minutes after arriving and all tables were filthy. First, let me say I love eating at Waffle House but this trip to this one was disappointing. NOT because of the food but because of the work atmosphere. It was so tense you could cut it with one of their steak knives. Bill the Unit Manager was calling orders for the servers and you could feel the tension. I don't work here but sitting at the counter, I could tell there was a problem between Bill and at least one of the servers. (Lorna) If management has a problem, take it in the back and deal with it. Don't let it brew in front of the PAYING customers. Food was good and consistent but I won't be back. read more

You have a taste for one thing and you order more than that one thing because it's cheaper? That was me; today. I wanted some grits so bad. On my way to my next office I stop at Waffle House... because duh. I'm a breakfaster. It's a must for my day to start. The best franchise grits in the game. I order an All-Star. Eggs scrambled with cheese, both grits and hash browns, no toast, no meat plain waffle; ketchup, butter and 1 syrup. My usual. I notice the place isn't busy, everyone there has their food and it's clean for a WH so I'm good. My food is bagged up, I pay. Here's where I went wrong. I didn't check before I left. I dash out. Get to my office and morning effed up. No grits! 4 sliced pieces of toast. No ketchup. Why? Why mess up the start of most patrons day? This is why they have an average of 3 stars. The food I did receive was good. The hash browns were cooked pretty good. Waffle was nicely done, eggs as well. I was really looking forward to those grits. read more

Oh Waffle House, you're the one. There has not been a single server who has not been the embodiment of hard-scrabble resourcefulness, juggling tables full of hillbillies, drunk 20 somethings and Kings Island tourists with a toughness, grace and efficiency that makes me proud to be a woman. Each server is like an aunt from Kentucky who calls everyone "sugar," feeds you things made with bacon fat, and isn't afraid to whip some ass if someone gets out of line. The beau and I consistently get better service here than at restaurants that everybody (City Beat, Cincinnati magazine, people from Food Network, hipsters) has a huge boner about. Next time someone directs you to OTR for the latest in pretentious, over-priced "comfort food," kick them in the shins and go to Waffle House instead. read more
