Perkins is my family's go to brunch place. Every time I come home, I come here with my dad. I get the omelet with breakfast potatoes and pancakes. It's always good and the pancakes are wonderful. When I came this time, the potatoes were a little undercooked which was a little disappointing. But overall its a great family brunch spot !!

This restaurant was incredibly dark and did not seem clean whatsoever. The bathrooms especially were concerning, with pieces of the wall missing entirely. I was afraid to touch anything. Glad my order was takeout

Underwhelming French Toast and hash browns lacking onions.

Normally this restaurant has delicious breakfast food. We ordered the French Toast with strawberries. One with whip cream, one without. Two sides of hash browns with onions. All was to-go. When we got home we were very underwhelmed with our food. The French Toast looks like Texas toast sprinkled with cinnamon. No whip cream. The hash browns were marginal. We just came from a medical appointment and we're tired otherwise we'd take this food back and get simmering else or a refund. They missed the mark on this meal.

    Brown eggs. Ordered Over Light.

I would give it zero stars if I could. Now I know why it's been 14 years since we've been here. I explained how I wanted my eggs and the lady even asked me to explain it. OVER LIGHT, NO COLOR. NO BROWN SPOTS. Came out with color. I was trying to explain what no color meant and she literally yells I DON'T COOK YOUR EGGS! Then she wants me to remove just the eggs that are being remade, holding an empty plate for me to 'scoot' runny eggs onto the plate, instead of letting the kitchen do that. She grabs the plate and takes it, spouting she will do it. The eggs come out perfect. They knew how to cook it. They didn't take time to. Sorry, no tip. Never again. Let me say the food was good, hot and tasty, once they got my eggs right. Which would have been enough to bring me back had they did it right the first time. NO ONE talks to a customer that way. I was not condescending or rude to her. I tried to explain my frustration in a polite manner but she walked away before I could, yelling at me.

    Duo: BLT and Cobb salad.

I hadn't been to a Perkins in years. I think I used to go in Toledo and Columbus, but they are long gone from those areas. Seeking breakfast on Sunday at almost noon, we had hoped to beat the church crowds but found every breakfast place packed. Perkins was on our way home, and it was busy but not packed- we were seated immediately. Service, start to finish, was excellent. Our waitress helped with our toddler, bringing an extra plate and wipes, checking in often, etc. All other staff were friendly and helpful. The place was clean and comfy. Chains aren't my thing, but it was a very nice experience. And the food? Pretty darn good. Sweetie got french toast and bacon, and liked it. I got a 'pick two" thing with a BLT and Cobb salad. Both were pretty close to perfect: fresh veggies, great bacon, decent portions. Baby K shared some of our food, had her own apple juice, and colored. We enjoyed a relaxing, tasty meal. Prices were reasonable, maybe a little high, but the quality was up there and the portions were big enough, though not huge. I was tempted by pie but was pretty full. Baby K got a cookie (and dipped it in the honey mustard from my salad...) I'd definitely come back, and now I wish we still had them in Columbus.

Service was quite slow when we went. I think they're understaffed. But food was delicious and our waitress was very nice at least.

From the moment I walked in, I knew this wasn't your average breakfast joint. Their {unique-feature} - let's call it the palpable sense of genuine Southern hospitality mixed with a modern, quirky vibe - immediately sets the stage. It's like your cool grandma's kitchen, but with better coffee (more on that later!). But let's talk about the star of the show: the Biscuits n' Gravy. Oh. My. Goodness. Forget everything you think you know about this Southern staple. This was next-level comfort food. The biscuit itself was perfectly fluffy on the inside, slightly crisp on the outside, and had that subtle buttermilk tang that just makes your soul sing. And the gravy? Forget the bland, floury stuff you get at some places. This was a country gravy, rich, savory, and clearly made with love. The flavors were so spot-on, so perfectly balanced, that when the manager asked how I was enjoying my meal, I practically gushed about the flavor profile! He proudly explained that they make it fresh, on-site, every single day. Amazing. Seriously, I even asked for more gravy (and I'm not ashamed!). The chicken was perfectly seasoned and crispy. The welcoming atmosphere is the real deal. It's not just about saying "hello"; it's about making you feel like you're part of the Maple Street family. It's the kind of place where you instantly relax and feel comfortable lingering over your coffee (which, by the way, they have a whole coffee bar with assorted flavors!). The excellent service just seals the deal. From the friendly cashier to the attentive staff refilling my coffee, everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there and eager to make my experience a great one. The manager, especially, was incredibly nice and clearly takes pride in his team and the food they're serving. It's clear they've cultivated a positive and supportive work environment, and that translates directly into the customer experience. For the price, Maple Street Biscuit Company is an absolute steal. Whether you're a couple looking for a cozy brunch spot, a family needing a satisfying and affordable meal, or a die-hard food enthusiast searching for the perfect biscuit, this place delivers. Trust me, folks, this isn't just breakfast; it's an experience. Go. Now. You won't regret it.

Maybe it was because it was 11am? Who knows. What I do know is that Pillsbury makes better biscuits. Order at the counter, they bring you your food. Dirty tables. Lots of staff. No real excuse. Save your money and hit up First Watch, Wild Eggs, or even Sleepy Bee (with some trepidation). At least you get table service and servings worthy of the cost. Maybe it was a bad day? Maybe they've only been open a short while? Who knows. We won't be back.

There was a bunch of smoked salmon, but it was meh--one of the driest benedicts I've ever had. Coffee was good. Twice I tried to get a waitress's attention (once she looked directly at me and walked away). There was no spoon to stir my coffee at the table or in the rolled-up napkin. So I got up to grab one myself. When I grabbed a spoon from the empty server station, I got a dirty look from the waitress as she started approaching me. I told her I needed a spoon, but she ignored me. She then asked me to check the silverware roll. I told you. And she walked away. The orange juice was okay. Did not taste fresh-squeezed; maybe the oranges aren't good. I guess I'll keep going to greasy spoons: better service, better food, better price.
