    French Toast and sausage patty

Went here for breakfast as we stayed in a nearby motel. I love Perkins so that's why I chose it. Service was friendly but a bit slow. The place was a bit run down. That being said the breakfast was reasonably priced and yummy. I know not all locations are the same but this one needed a renovation and clean bathrooms. Still people work hard here and that is why I gave it a 3.

Perkins is my family's go to brunch place. Every time I come home, I come here with my dad. I get the omelet with breakfast potatoes and pancakes. It's always good and the pancakes are wonderful. When I came this time, the potatoes were a little undercooked which was a little disappointing. But overall its a great family brunch spot !!

This restaurant was incredibly dark and did not seem clean whatsoever. The bathrooms especially were concerning, with pieces of the wall missing entirely. I was afraid to touch anything. Glad my order was takeout

    Brown eggs. Ordered Over Light.

I would give it zero stars if I could. Now I know why it's been 14 years since we've been here. I explained how I wanted my eggs and the lady even asked me to explain it. OVER LIGHT, NO COLOR. NO BROWN SPOTS. Came out with color. I was trying to explain what no color meant and she literally yells I DON'T COOK YOUR EGGS! Then she wants me to remove just the eggs that are being remade, holding an empty plate for me to 'scoot' runny eggs onto the plate, instead of letting the kitchen do that. She grabs the plate and takes it, spouting she will do it. The eggs come out perfect. They knew how to cook it. They didn't take time to. Sorry, no tip. Never again. Let me say the food was good, hot and tasty, once they got my eggs right. Which would have been enough to bring me back had they did it right the first time. NO ONE talks to a customer that way. I was not condescending or rude to her. I tried to explain my frustration in a polite manner but she walked away before I could, yelling at me.

Underwhelming French Toast and hash browns lacking onions.

Normally this restaurant has delicious breakfast food. We ordered the French Toast with strawberries. One with whip cream, one without. Two sides of hash browns with onions. All was to-go. When we got home we were very underwhelmed with our food. The French Toast looks like Texas toast sprinkled with cinnamon. No whip cream. The hash browns were marginal. We just came from a medical appointment and we're tired otherwise we'd take this food back and get simmering else or a refund. They missed the mark on this meal.

    Duo: BLT and Cobb salad.

I hadn't been to a Perkins in years. I think I used to go in Toledo and Columbus, but they are long gone from those areas. Seeking breakfast on Sunday at almost noon, we had hoped to beat the church crowds but found every breakfast place packed. Perkins was on our way home, and it was busy but not packed- we were seated immediately. Service, start to finish, was excellent. Our waitress helped with our toddler, bringing an extra plate and wipes, checking in often, etc. All other staff were friendly and helpful. The place was clean and comfy. Chains aren't my thing, but it was a very nice experience. And the food? Pretty darn good. Sweetie got french toast and bacon, and liked it. I got a 'pick two" thing with a BLT and Cobb salad. Both were pretty close to perfect: fresh veggies, great bacon, decent portions. Baby K shared some of our food, had her own apple juice, and colored. We enjoyed a relaxing, tasty meal. Prices were reasonable, maybe a little high, but the quality was up there and the portions were big enough, though not huge. I was tempted by pie but was pretty full. Baby K got a cookie (and dipped it in the honey mustard from my salad...) I'd definitely come back, and now I wish we still had them in Columbus.

Service was quite slow when we went. I think they're understaffed. But food was delicious and our waitress was very nice at least.

If you are in Maineville/Kings Mills area -- or just like in breweries in interesting locations, check it out! We were seated after a short wait by the brewmaster, who also helped us select our beer. Amber ale for me and an IPA for husband. Our server was friendly and prompt, and the food came out quickly. It was pretty busy, being trivia night, but the staff seemed to have a handle on things! We ordered the Brussels and potato appetizer and it was great. It was large and honestly could almost have been dinner for us -- certainly could easily be shared by 4! We cleared the plate on our own though. I had the salmon sandwich with sweet potato fries. Very good, though I was so full from the appetizer so I just ate the salmon from the sandwich, and maybe 1/4 of the fries. Hubs got the burger with an egg on top either regular fries. He was happy with his choice. The brewery itself is very cool -- old brick factory, large wall-to-wall windows, super tall ceilings. We sat at a high top in the bar area which is quite large, though there is dining area. I think the bar area is more interesting looking though. The factory building (now loft apartments), the smoke stack, and the tower, all red brick, are striking looking. It's great the preserved this WWI / WWII era place. Lots of parking but was pretty full on Trivia night!

Unfortunately something in the kitchen seemed off and the issues piled up. I have always had great experiences in the past, and truly want them to succeed so I am hopeful this was an "off" night and that they will adjust in no time! I will start with the positives: the building is gorgeous and worth the visit off the beaten path. You can bike right up to it- we typically do this. It's right off the bike trail and a great distance away from downtown Loveland for a nice ride. Beautiful restoration of the old space and cool branding. The menu honestly all sounds delicious on paper. The woman at the hostess stand was very friendly and all of the waitstaff seemed to be working overtime to stay afloat. No one was slacking, they were all spending an inordinate amount of time in the kitchen and still managing everything outside too so I commend them on their attitude and service. Though it was a little weird that no one acknowledged how poorly things were going, I can appreciate that they didn't snap back at the many folks who were short with them or respond in any way except positive, smiling, and understanding. Now for the rest of the visit. After being seated, our waitress took our order for apps and drinks, and explained the note on the menu that said "Tuesday-All day happy hour!". We ordered fried pickles and 2 drinks, a beer and a mocktail. She came back a few moments later and we put in an order for 2 burgers. The beer came out but the mocktail never did... this is when we started to see if anyone would return to our table and realized that they were not going to. We did not see the waitress who had initially helped us for over 30 minutes. It was near impossible to flag down another because they were rushing around and looked stressed. Another waitress finally brought out 2 burgers. We noted that there was no rush but we were still waiting on one drink and the app. She seemed confused but went to go check. We were hopeful all would be solved. She returned with the drink a while later, but said the fried pickles were being remade- they had been forgotten. I appreciated that they made us fresh ones, but still confused about what happened with both items never making it to us. Thought that would be the worst of it but it spiraled after that. The burgers were okay, but one came without any sauce. One had a small amount on the bottom bun and the other was dry. I thought I would just ask for a side of the thousand island it was meant to come with, but again- there was no way to get a server's attention. By this time, the table next to us was getting frusteated with their wait as well. When our appetizer was finally delivered, I tried to ask for a side of sauce, but the table next to us was so desperate to get their issues addressed that I couldn't get a word in. The burgers were fine, Iif a bit dry, but nothing to write home about. Which is a bummer because it happened to be their Cincy Burger Week special. The fried pickles were pretty good but we both commented we didn't want the whole dish because they were so coated with oil towards the bottom. By this time, we had been there for over an hour and were ready for the check. Notably, the table next to us received their food and both of their burgers were wrong from what they had ordered. :( There was also a beer dropped off to the table next to us but never addressed again. Our check never came... we just sat and sat. When it did come... my heart sank seeing it was inaccurate- none of the happy hour pricing on apps or drinks had been applied. We waited for the waitress to come back and collect the check, which she would have had to do even if the bill was correct. But she never came... we waited 18 minutes before my husband went to go interrupt her at the computer, which we felt bad doing but we were worried it would never be addressed and our toddler was getting antsy The bill was fixed and we asked her to stay until she could bring it back. Phew- finally done. Folks all around the taproom were noticing too and sharing our confusion/impatience. A woman came up and asked for her glass of wine to be cancelled because it had been so long. The beer next to us sat still unattended. The strangest part was that none of this was addressed- not an apology or explanation. I definitely would have empathized with the struggle if they would have explained they were short staffed we would have been totally understanding, but we felt a little like we were in the twilight zone. Really hoping Cartridge can get back to getting their orders out completely/ correctly, and organizing their staff so they can check in on their tables' needs without being tracked down across the room. I will come back, because it's such a neat place, and I believe this is not their norm. Will definitely update my review when I do!

Now, we always get the Buffalo chicken dip. Sometimes, that's all we get because, well...it's the best around. The seasoning on the chips is just too notch. The kids cheeseburger is a decent size and comes with a solid portion of fries. Almost too much, my 12 year old couldn't finish it. Now on to my mushroom n' swiss. This is my favorite burger option at any burger spot. This one left little to be desired. Absolutely no sear was had on this thing. It also had zero flavor. I had to add a TON of salt. Now I will say this my LAST bite I must have had a full peppercorn in it because I sure got a solid bite of flavor then. I didn't realize when ordering that the burger came pretty much plain. I wasn't offered tomato, onion or lettuce and I would have really liked to have had a big slice of onion on it. Also wasn't offered mayo but our server did grab me a pack. This place is a staple in the community here. I'll be back, I've had better from this spot and was disappointed this round but I know they will redeem themselves next time.
