Waffle House Mason-Montgomery Rd.
Andrea C.

I love a Waffle House and this one is clean and bright. I was greeted upon arrival by Josh, a very professional server. My waffle was perfect and (as always) the coffee was strong and hot. Even the restroom defied expectations and was clean, well stocked and functioning!

I'm not sure what drugs you guys are on at this location. But you are definitely not on point whatsoever. It took 45 minutes to get three coffees besides the first one you brought and said you would make a new pot. Please get yourself together stop doing Adderall. We appreciate the rest of your establishments. Thank you.

me and my husband came here around midnight on the way home from the airport the day after new years. we took a seat at the bar counter and were immediately met with waters. it seemed there were only 2 people working (one taking orders and one cooking). we had a FANTASTIC time! from food to service to price, everything was excellent! 10/10 best late night snack ever! these two workers deserve a raise for their good attitude, hard working skills, and late night shift!

This was my first time trying Waffle House. I don't care what any of the other reviews say...the food and service were both excellent. Crispy hash-browns Crispy bacon Over easy egg Buttered toast Crispy fluffy waffle On this chilly morning it really hit the spot. The open kitchen is a plus - those cooks were working their butts off and killing it. Would definitely come back!

Just don't go. Tiny, old, unclean, inattentive staff. Servers please - if you are coughing, please stay home. Or at least wear a mask. Coughing into your sleeve does not make it better. Food is average. Napkins are ridiculously tiny & cheap, you need decent napkins when serving maple syrup. Antiquated practices - server has to wait until cook is finished preparing previous order before "calling out" new order. No screens. Very slow. Had to hunt down the sweetener for coffee. And continually ask for refills. And cream. Server keeps head down while cleaning, not attentive to customers. Had to ask for syrup FOR A WAFFLE - dispenser was disgusting. Dripping. Removed a hair from it. Didn't even venture into the bathroom, was afraid to. Overall just pretty gross.

Unbelievable, fast service. It took longer to decide what I wanted then to get the food and the quality was A+.

The service is hit & miss. You could wait 10 minutes or 30 to get your food. But it's the only place open 24 hours so beggars can't be choosers I guess.

This table sat uncleaned for 45 minutes.

We ended up here because other restaurants were closed. Not my first choice and I don't expect much. There is one guy at the grill working his butt off. He leaves between orders for maybe a minute. The server doesn't even greet us. She doesn't clean a table for us. We sit and clean our own table. Takes her ten minutes to take our order. My eggs were wrong but they do refix them and they are okay. The hashbrowns were half burnt, half non cooked all the way. Had the wrong toast. Back was not done on the ends but half burnt in the middle. The guy is doing his best, but I just don't think he's a good cook. He needed help. The girl, in between orders stood over by the cash register facing the back wall. I'm not sure what she did for the hour we were in there but she didn't clean off tables. I watched two families stand by the door. She saw them and never said a word. There are three empty tables that she didn't clean. One sat uncleaned or at leas 45 minutes as the couple left right after we ordered. NO ONE cleaned the tables. BOTH families left without being talked to and there were there at least ten minutes. The one longer. Then a third group came in as we were leaving. She left them there and went back to doing nothing.

Should've eaten at home... I mean I know it's Waffle House, what can you expect? But still any food establishment should check their dated food. Part of mine was expired by 5 months.

Hope this don't gross you out like it has me

It's pretty much what you'd expect for a Waffle House. Fairly clean, good food, and very friendly service. Family friendly and affordable.

The service is really good. Seated promptly, waters come out promptly, minor order modifications handled easily. We have really enjoyed the variety of food. My husband loves the salads and the bowls and pizzas are also good. Probably the favorite entree we have had is the fish and chips. We find the drinks particularly reasonably priced and the cocktails are good. We really like the blueberry one. The space is sunny and open. We have been with our kids and see lots of friendly groups dining there. Free parking in the garage is another plus.

On a mid Monday afternoon, we were the only patrons in the restaurant (or so it seemed). We sat on a high top in their huge bar area and were promptly served by a nice server. We ordered the crispy cauliflower from their HH menu (5.95) & it was very tasty (tossed in a sweet & sour sauce) with green onions and Thai basil Chilis. We also ordered their house cab for 6 bucks each. As for our entrees, I was craving a crispy chicken sandwich so I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich which came with not 1 but 2 small chicken breasts a slice of cheese and lettuce/tomato (unfortunately, no mayo). I ended up taking off one of the chicken patties and ate half of my sandwich and most of the fries (took the rest to go). My BFF ordered the steak tacos and fruit as his side. He said they were ok but not "real" tacos (duh, you don't come to a place like this for tacos lol) Everything was top notch, loved the atmosphere and laid back vibes. I'll have to look the nearest Firebirds up where I live (if they exist).

I've tried everything on the happy hour menu and they're all delicious and deliver accordingly in my opinion. My favorites are the fired up shrimp (not too hot, ask for sauce on the side if worried), the steak tacos (love the flavors on these, 10/10), the crispy cauliflower (never disappoints), and the cheeseburger sliders (also never disappoints). The drinks are always a hit (my favorite is the The Double Black Diamond Martini) and I love the presentation of the drinks being shaken and poured at the table, just makes it all a little more fun. Also, the dinner menu is amazing. Seriously just go check it out. The service is quick, everyone is friendly. Definitely go have yourself a good time at Firebirds.

She made us feel completely comfortable and truly made an already wonderful meal even better. Exceptional service from beginning to end! The restaurant itself is adorable, modern, beautifully decorated, and has a lovely patio. But the service and food completely stole the show. We ordered several appetizers, including the bruschetta, fried green tomatoes, corn and ricotta dip, and pimento croquettes. I'm VERY picky, and I genuinely wouldn't change a single thing. Every dish was flavorful, perfectly balanced, beautifully presented, and cooked exactly right. The bruschetta was so good that we ordered a second round! The fried green tomatoes were perfectly crisp with a delicious sauce, and the pimento croquettes were crispy on the outside, creamy inside, and paired perfectly with the sauce and pickles. The corn and ricotta dip was delicious as well. Nothing was too salty, under-seasoned, overcooked, or missing anything. The flavors were spot-on across the board. For dessert, we had the peach butter cake with everything on the side. The cake was delicious on its own and even better with the ice cream. It's rare to try so many dishes and not want to change a single thing, but that was the case here. The food was top-notch, and Olivia truly made the experience. We will definitely be back and will absolutely recommend this place to others. Amazing food, amazing service, and an overall experience that went above and beyond.

I ordered the White Lightening Omelet which came with an English Muffin and Peasant potatoes. It was really nice to have a place with an egg white omelet option. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors were on point. I would have liked to see the potatoes be a little crispier on the outside but the weee seasoned well The portion size for me was big so i only ate MAYBE half. There are plenty of TVs throughout the venue, plus both indoor and outdoor seating areas. This should definitely be added to your summer visit list. I had the garlic parmesan wings. The wings themselves were cooked perfectly, but I personally did not enjoy the garlic parmesan sauce, so next time I'll probably order hot or buffalo instead. Just a heads up -- they do not allow mixing sauces, which is okay. They also have beers and alcoholic slushies available, but no cocktails.
