Chicken and Dumpling soup container melted. Thanks Red Squirrel. - A white styrofoam cup filled with chicken and dumpling soup is placed on a white napkin on a wooden table. The soup appears partially eaten, with some broth and small pieces of vegetables visible. The background shows a blurred, neutral-colored surface, and part of another beverage is visible on the left side of the image.

Nice job. Container melted. No chicken & dumplings for me today. I'll just go somewhere else next time.

Service and food continue to be excellent! Wasn't here during the change over days but can definitely assert that all is well and back on track. We tend to have more breakfast than other choices, but everything was awesome! Check it out. Highly recommended!

The menu from Red Squirrel in Cincinnati displays a variety of American dishes including double deckers, charbroiled burgers, sandwiches, and platters. It features options for creating your own decker with different meats, and a selection of sides like French fries, onion rings, and waffle fries. The menu also includes options for toast and additional toppings, with prices listed for each item. The restaurant provides dine-in and takeout services, with emphasis on classic American comfort food.

Chain sandwich shop with dine in or take out. Colerain location was steady but moved well thru orders. Suggest calling in or online order to save you time. Sandwich was average and the pickle was dry. Service was friendly and did well for being busy. Would I go back.... No.. but it was convenient and the staff was friendly.

Big Mic undercooked and undercooked fries - A food basket contains a partially eaten cheeseburger with visible lettuce, pickles, melted cheese, and a beef patty, along with a serving of crinkle-cut fries. The basket is lined with white paper, and there are utensils and a napkin in the background on a light-colored table.

I've been here many times. They used to have a staff who has been there for years and no longer working there. Decided to try the big mic and it was undercooked. Pre made frozen patty's. I was fine with it being slightly undercooked but this is not the place that ask you how you would like it done so many would expect it to be fully cooked. With the crust over cooked and the middle undercooked led me to believe it was frozen when placed in the grill and it was uniform in shape. The fries were under cooked and it seems the grease was dirty as there black specks and it wasn't pepper And what is interesting is that the manager wears ear buds in both ears which is rude.

A black, oval-shaped bowl contains a smooth, orange-colored soup with a slightly glossy surface. A metal spoon is partially submerged in the soup, resting against the side of the bowl. The bowl is placed on a light-colored, possibly beige, surface with a small piece of paper or tissue visible in the background. The image is taken from above, showing the entire bowl and spoon.

Red Squirrel has just moved up in my esteem, and they were already pretty high. I almost always get chicken and dumplings soup with whatever meal I choose. Today's soup choices re just irresistible, so I decided to make a meal of two or three soups. I started by requesting a taste of their mock turtle soup. It was delicious, but, as I told my server, it was so rich that I wouldn't be able to handle a bowl of it. My first course was pasta e fagioli. Theirs is a great blend of ground beef and orzo in a nice tomato broth, augmented with peas and large slices of carrot. Delicious. Then came tomato queso, a wonderfully silky balance of cream of tomato with the kind of queso sauce that tortilla chips love to scoop up. Both flavors were subtle, but definitely present. And I finished with my beloved chicken and dumplings. It seems to have been pretty freshly made, which is a slight negative, because as it sits on the stove, the broth thickens from the starch in the dumplings. That doesn't happen here often, because they sell a lot of soup. Anyway, it's a nice chicken stock wit a lot of chicken pieces, and an unbelievable amount of dumplings. I'm always happy to eat here, but today was even better than usual.

My camera can actually see the smoke - The image shows the interior of a casual restaurant with a drop ceiling featuring square fluorescent lights. Wall art depicting animals is visible on the back wall. Patrons are seated at tables, with some visible at the bottom of the image. The decor includes a hanging plant and a partition wall, and part of the counter area with cups and equipment is seen on the left. The setting appears to be a relaxed dining environment.

Longtime fan of this restaurant. Sadly it's a smoky mess in here. People are choking in here. It's awful. Clean the hood or something!

"Well done toast" that i ordered was more like stale bread with grill grease on it. - Two toasted bread triangles with golden-brown crusts are arranged on a crumpled paper napkin. The bread appears to be buttered and toasted, with a slightly uneven surface. The napkin is placed on a beige, textured surface, possibly a countertop or table. The image captures a simple, close-up view of the toast, emphasizing its texture and color.

100% do not patronize this establishment! The owner, Satish was verbally abusive towards a teen employee while calling her stupid in front of the whole store. Asking if she was capable of performing simple tasks. He was very demeaning. Its no wonder they can barely keep staff. I felt so bad for her. If you have a female teen, dont let them work here. The owner is rude, sexist, and dared this poor girl to cry in his restaurant with an open kitchen to the whole place for everyone to hear. Then he fired her and when she asked if she could use the phone to call her parents for a ride home he told her to quit causing drama in his store. Poor girl was put out in the freezing cold with out being able to call for a ride home from a place she should have felt safe working at. I wont be back to support this kind of abusive behavior towards kids.

Went in for the first time for breakfast. My friends dad use to go all the time so figured I would give it a try. It was really busy despite the weather We were seated quickly and our server came over immediately and asked us for the drink order. Since it was a new place, took time to look at menu. I was not in the mood for breakfast so ordered a chicken gyro with fries. My friend had an omelette and potatoes. It was out fairly quickly. My sandwich was basically pita, chicken and uncooked onions. I requested additional sauce. The chicken was not very flavorful so used two of the sauces. I like my onions cooked so should have requested that. The fries were very oily so didn't finish those. The server snd staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was just okay. I could see it as a spot after going out. I am not sure if I will return but appreciate the experience.

This sandwich so delicious. Very tasty.

The space is open, bright and well decorated making it very inviting for brunch. You order at the counter from the menus placed along the wall then food is delivered to your table. The various brunch items all sounded very inviting so I was having trouble deciding what to order. So I got a recommendation to try the Shakshuka. Not sure how to pronounce it but when it arrived it was just the right portion and quite tasty for brunch. It's a bowl with a red pepper sauce and feta cheese and kale along with eggs sunny side up. The dish is served with pita so you can do a little bit of dipping in the tasty sauce. To accompany our food we selected the mimosa service and bloody mary pitcher. A pitcher is just perfect for sharing. And the mimosa service was delightful. The server arrived with a bottle of Prosecco and small carafes of orange, grapefruit and blood orange juices to mix yourself. The food was fresh and tasty with prompt delivery of our food to our table. Not quite a full service restaurant since you have to order at the counter but still a nice experience located downtown.

We were one of three tables occupied in the place. The decor was lovely, albeit totally akin to a hotel restaurant. We sat at a booth table that was very comfortable. There is individual LED lighting on each table bright enough to see the menu, which was great. Our server was energetic, helpful, and she kept a close eye on us without being intrusive. Here are our thoughts about the food: We read that the croquettes and crispy lasagna were dishes Pennyflower is known for, so we ordered those. The croquettes are gooey and rich but came to us barely warm. The lasagna was a very browned huge slab of layered pasta with ricotta and surrounded by an arrabbiata sauce. The flavors did not quite hit anything special for us, and the crispy aspect was way too much so. I also missed the meat, as we do prefer meat in our lasagna (I did order knowing it did not have meat). The burger was...well, just a burger, but the fries were fantastic. The best dish of the night was the house salad. It was perfectly dressed with bits of candied almonds, feta, and thin slices of fennel. We would order this over and over

A couple notes I'd share with the restaurant: the entrée prices feel a bit high, and the gravy was unfortunately too thick and under-seasoned for our taste. The ambiance is cozy and no-frills, giving that classic local diner feel. The service was extremely friendly, and you can tell they have a solid base of regulars who enjoy eating here.

The place is bright and friendly with what appeared to be many regular patrons. Our server was nice and helpful. I ordered an omelette with a hotcake and he got two eggs over easy with goetta. Our meal came with toast too. We ordered rye and whole wheat. Candidly, the food didn't have any flavor. The potatoes were the most bland. My veggie omelette had large sliced vegetables inside vs smaller pieces. The huge hotcake was thick and I'm guessing that's the difference between a hotcake and a pancake. It was good but not great. Glad we stopped by. Atmosphere very nice, service was great. We won't return due to the food. Just not good, no flavor.
