Worst service ever. It took about 45 minutes to get our food. Food was good but the waitress was rude. Didn't check on us, refill drinks or really acknowledge us in any way. If we asked for something she'd take forever getting it then drop it off and immediately leave. Not once did she ask if there was anything we needed or apologize for our wait. Nothing. When we spoke with the manager he said the right things and did discount our bill but still had to wait 40+ minutes for a simple to go order that we had to ask for and was brought to us cold. we will not be visiting cheddars again! read more

I want to like this Cheddar's, I really do, but there's always something that rubs me the wrong way (Louisville would never!). It usually comes down to professionalism, or the lack thereof. My friend was told there was a 15-20 minute wait. She waited in the bar area to which I suggested we just seat ourselves instead of the main dining area. We picked a booth and overheard the servers discuss whose table it was. Heather was our server, and she was very kind. However, her daughter who apparently also works there approached our table after Heather took our drink order and more or less told us we need to move because the booths were not open-seating. I informed her that Heather was already waiting on us to which Heather returned and diffused the situation. I will just say this interaction was not only off-putting, but very unnecessary. The only people who should be correcting customers is the assigned server and/or manager - not some server's daughter. She needs to mind HER business. Completely rude and out of line. Please make guidelines for related staff members. Since completing their survey, I have been contacted by management, which I appreciate! I first visited a cheddars scratch kitchen in Georgia a few weeks ago. The chicken tenders were light fluffy and so fresh. I was determined that when I went back home I was going to find a cheddars in my area so we did and visited this one. I was so disappointed in the chicken tenders. Chicken tenders had been hand battered at least I thought but it was thick and kind of overcooked. Huge bummer! However the spinach dip rocked as did the ribs and other side dishes like the red beans and rice. I loved the server he was amazing. The pain killer drink I got was sloppy syrup was dripping around the outside edges of the glass and it got sticky everywhere. The coconut crumble rim was not intact at all. My family had the worst restaurant service we've ever had at Cheddar's one Sunday. We had a party of 5 people and we literally had to wait an hour for someone to take our order and then spent another hour waiting for the order to arrive. We were later told that we had gotten "caught between shifts", and despite complaining to management, no credit toward the cost of our meal was compensated, so the hospitality was lacking too overall. Eating here on a somewhat slow Friday night visiting out of town .the waiter informs me of the drink that I want is out because they don't have the stuff to make it, on top of that it took almost 20 minutes for our drinks to come . I ordered the blackened salmon which comes with a house salad asked if they had blue cheese crumbles or goat cheese and they didn't have either , so was a bit frustrated with that. Was there today for over two hours. Absolute worst service I've ever received from Tia. We had to ask for drink refills multiple times, we waited 45 mins for our appetizer just to be told "another person stole it" then when we finally got it we got our food not even 5 mins later. Didn't even eat the app. The couple next to us (who we ordered before) got their food and left before we even got ours. And all our food was fried. How does that make sense!? And they got salmon! We waited another 20-30 mins before we saw our waitress again to ask for our check just to be told to use the little computer. Would have been nice if someone told us that. Food was good though. So far it seems great food was fast service since it was not busy at3 pm on a Wednesday. So for appetizers I tried there chips and queso with the beef in it it was ok not like bang this is delicious more of a meh. My drinks was ok the spicy mango mojito was more sweet than you can taste the spicy and liquor. Next I try a new drink cheddar painkiller not bad I go for a second one on this drink worth it. Now my main meal chicken Alfredo was good vegetables were really soft witch is great chicken was nice season they only thing different was the Alfredo cheese very different but was not like aye this Alfredo on point. Cheddar's Florence location at 5 pm Sat night. This restaurant needs to be deep cleaned and renovated. The booths are falling in, the floors are a greasy mess and I've seen cleaner restrooms in a truck stop. It seems to me the business is on life support. Are you eating at the bar...Are you sure? There was a 10-minute wait to get a table so we told the hostess we would go to the bar and get a drink while we waited on our table. The hostess asked me if we wanted to eat at the bar even though I just told her the plan and said no we prefer a table. After about 20 min after seeing other parties being sat before us (we were only 2) I went back to the hostess to inquire about our table. That's when the same hostess asked me for the second time if I would like to eat at the bar. I explained again that we would like to have a table and not eat at the bar. After another 5 minutes the same confused hostess approached us and asked us AGAIN if we were eating at the bar...again I told her we were waiting on a table. Another few minutes passed and the manager came up to us, called my name and asked if we were eating at the bar. We explained to him no we were STILL waiting on a table where he suggested a high top IN THE BAR! We should have just left right then. To his credit he did take us to a table 2 minutes later. Upon entering the dining room I saw at least 1/3 of the tables open. I hate to be one of those dudes but I spent over 20 years in the restaurant and pub business in every capacity from dishwasher to GM. I can say I am well versed in the business and you have a HUGE problem when 1/3 of your tables are unoccupied at Sat night at 5 O'clock. We finally get a table... Now I understand the staff may be short staffed but my waiter assured me there was a complete crew. We finally got to our table and the table was greasy and every booth along that wall was falling apart from obvious neglect. Our spinach dip appetizer was awful...cold, all spinach and lacked flavor. But the food (salmon and chicken fried steak) was hot and prepared well. The menus were covered in food and grease, the table top Point Of Sales (POS) stations were covered in grease bacteria factories. While at the bar a customer asked for an extra plate to split an entree and was served a dirty plate. Our bar glasses were sticky & the drinks were terrible. The Texas T tasted like dishwater, the pain killer was a sugar filled coconut punch with no booze. The dining room floor was greasy and the men's bathroom was disgusting. A check of the health records from 10-21 was an 88. But I didn't look in the kitchen. I can honestly say it appears that the management is just buying time. If this is a franchise location it needs to be closed immediately. I hate to put food service employees out of jobs but I also hate to condone a hard working family paying for a night out only to be rewarded with a disgusting restaurant. Horrible experience(7/23). Placed a carry out order over the phone. Was told it would be ready in 25-30 minutes. I arrive at the 32 minute mark and I'm directed to the bar which handles carry out orders. A young man not working the bar ask how he can help me. I tell him my name and what I ordered. He repeats it back to me for clarity then tell me he'll let the kitchen know and walks toward it. A young lady returns 2 minutes later and says did you have the ribs? Soon as I hear her voice I know it's the person who took my order on the phone. I repeat to her what I told the young man and she walks back to the kitchen. She returns 1-2 minutes later with an order pad. Soon as I see it I know this is not good. She proceeds to tell me that they don't have my order and I can place it again. My response is what do you mean you don't have my order? She says maybe you accidentally called another location. At this point, I point out to her that she has a very recognizable voice and I know it was her that took my order. I told her I don't have time for this and start to leave. I exit the building but decide this can't go unchecked. I get a manager tell her the whole story and then show her the phone number in my cell call log and ask if that is the number to this location. She confirms. I ask her then why does the staff here have the type of unaccountability to me someone they called the wrong location. Rather than say we messed up, sorry and how can we fix this? Went on Fathers Day . I have NEVER sent food back. But this was the nastiest food. Dijon Chicken with rice and mushrooms was horrible. Front check in was curtious. My wife and I visited Cheddar's for the first time this past Monday for an early dinner (5pm) since we were in the area. I was hesitant to come here due to the low average Yelp rating, but I'm glad we stopped. My 4-star rating (4.5 stars if I could) is based on comparing Cheddar's to all the other restaurants of this type with respect to service, food, and price. My wife had the Monte Cristo sandwich, which she picked as soon as she saw it on the menu - memories of Bennigans. She had the Broccoli Casserole as her side. She loved her MC, and the sandwich was big enough for dinner with leftovers for lunch. I agree that it was very tasty - based on the small bite I was allowed to have. She was not very fond of the casserole due to it having too much rice. Her dinner was $8.99. I had Chicken Pot Pie with a House Salad as my side. The crust was rich and flaky. There were large chunks of white meat and the standard assortment of pot pie vegetables in a very tasty cream sauce. The sauce was thinner than typical for a pot pie, but the rich buttery flavor of the sauce more than compensated for the consistency. The salad had the standard ingredients plus hard boiled egg and cheddar cheese - much better than the typical side house salad. The salad also came with one of their outstanding croissants with a honey butter drizzle. My dinner was also $8.99. Our servers - one experienced and one in training - did an outstanding job of keeping us well supplied with water and were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They were prompt in taking our order, my salad came out with a minimal wait, and the timing of the entrees was just right. I saw some very tempting desserts, but was too full to partake - this time. Not the best experience here this time around. We got there and it was really crowded, we almost left because we didn't want to wait a long time but were told that there was no wait for a party of two. How cool! So we did get seated right away. It took a bit of time for the waitress to come to our table, but it wasn't too excessive. I've been here a couple of times, I really like the way the interior looks. The decorations, the huge fish tank..I just feel like it has a cool relaxing look to it. Anywho..we decided on the queso and chips for an appetizer and we both got hamburgers for our meal (I'm always seeking out a good hamburger). We were really looking forward to the queso because we had had it there before and it was delicious. About 20 minutes after placing the order we both kind of realized that maybe the queso wasn't coming. Sure enough 5 minutes later the waitress shows up with our hamburgers and apologizes that she forgot to ring in our appetizer. She asked us if we wanted it anyways..but you know..who really wants an appetizer after or during your main meal. We said to not worry about it..you know, stuff happens, it wasn't the end of the world, people make mistakes..it was just kind of a let down. I got the jalapeno burger..and it was..eh. Not terrible, not really anything that stood out. The beef was kind of bland, the jalapenos gave it a good kick. So much so that I started getting upset that we hadn't gotten a single refill since we've been there and my mouth was kind of on fire. Alas, we did finally get our refills and everything was fine. Chain. This place was busy on a Monday night, so we got our food at the bar. I can't imagine how it is on the weekends. Half pound burgers (all by their lonesome) run you around $5, but most meals appear to be around the $8 range. I thought the $2 up charge for fries or coleslaw with the burger was a bit much, so I passed on it and stole some of my date's fries instead. Food was good and the staff was friendly, but they seemed really disorganized. When we ordered our drinks the bartender seemed too busy, so a second bartender got our order, then passed the order on to a third bartender who passed it right back to the first bartender. I think we ordered our drinks three times and it took about fifteen minutes to get them made. A similar thing seemed to happen with our dinners: my date ordered a potato soup with no bacon. When it didn't come out with the meal she reminded the bartender of the order. The soup came out with bacon. Then a second soup came out without bacon. So we both got soup and it all worked out, but it just seemed like a lot of poor communication and disorganization. It appeared as though this was happening with others as well, the waitstaff didn't seem to know what drinks were theirs, if their order had gone out, or if their order had been filled. WHEW, WHERE TO BEGIN WITH THIS REVIEW Visited Cheddars this past Saturday evening, prime dinning hours, we arrived a little after 7pm. At the hostess stand was told it would be 20-25 mns to seat 2 people and also no waiting inside per COVID. Set the timer on my phone, 30mins and still no text that our table is ready. BF goes inside, hostess states there are still two people ahead of us, 25mins later I call, the hostess "oh, I was just about to text, you can come in the table is ready" my response, is I really don't believe you. We are finally seated, hostess never says who our waiter will be and walks away. At this point we have waited so long, we are ready to order. 10-15 mins past and no waiter, there is a table directly across & two tables back, both full and being served by a young black man. We assumed he was our serves, he did not stop, did not look our way, no i'll be right with you...NOTHING! We see another official looking person carrying a clipboard and ask could he grab our server. Out comes the kitchen manager, not sure why he was summoned, but at least someone shows up at this point. We were more than annoyed at this point. Where was the server, no one has even acknowledged we were sitting there. Jorge, the kitchen manager is apologetic and states he will get someone to out come. By this point we order an appetizer on the table pad device, cause again NO SERVER HAD SHOWN UP. Jesus comes out a few mins later, states its not his section, but he will take our orders or we can also move to his section. We moved and let him know we have an app coming and placed the our entree orders. Jesus is also apologetic, and brings out some honey butter croissants. Our food arrives, BF had the chicken tender plate, Me: the buffalo chicken wrap w/ grilled chicken. Bacon bits & cheese were added to my fries- I did not request the bacon and cheese. My fries were fresh with my wrap, bf fries were old& cold w/ his chicken tenders. I ate maybe 2 of the wraps (there are 4 total) and none of the fries. As long as we waited in general at Cheddars, it definitely WAS NOT WORTH THE WAIT. Stopped by this location after an afternoon skiing at Perfect North Slopes. I'd never eaten here but my wife had been to one North while visiting her daughter. I always get the chicken caesar pasta salad which is awesome (and a ton of food). I also like their steaks. Get the broccoli cheese casserole on the side. Reminder: you do not come to this place because you're on a diet and want something light! You come here to get cheap, consistent food that is comforting. Also, be prepared to take home some leftovers. The prices cannot be beat here. My fiance got a steak and chicken strip with two sides for $13.50...I repeat, 13 freaking dollars. You can barely even eat fast food for these prices! And his steak was a perfect medium-rare. Yes, there is always a wait. PRO TIP: Eat in the bar area. You get the same menu, you can sit in a booth, a server will come to your table and take your order...It is exactly the same as sitting in the main restaurant. Except you don't have to wait! All the booths and tables in the bar area are first come first serve. The decor is lacking, but for what it is, I think Cheddar's is pretty darn good. read more

Nice affordable, large portions of food. If you enjoy all American food have no fear this is the place for you. Cheddars always stay pack due to the quality and quantity of the food. I have been several times and can always find something different. This past visit I tried the New Orleans pasta it had chicken, shrimp, sausage & rotini noodles it was a medium spicy and I topped it off with a Texas Tea which has a fair amount of alcohol. I have yet to have a bad experience at Cheddars. If you see one around town or in another town stop by and try it. It's worth the try. read more

My wife and I visited Cheddarsrestaurant on Springdale & Colerain Avenue Sunday March 5, 2023. We had a gift card which allowed us to choose between four different restaurants, Longhorn, Olive Garden, and cheddars. We chose cheddars because we had visited the other two numerous times and had great results. We were seated and ordered the ribs with mashed potatoes and corn my wife order the salmon over rice with a baked potato and green beans. My wife was about halfway finished with her food, and I had just started eating on my ribs, which was very cold. I asked the waitress to reheat the ribs, and she agreed. She came back with a fresh order of ribs, but before she could lay the ribs on the table. I noticed a long hair on the mashed potatoes and corn that was left there ...Since the second order of ribs, she brought me were fresh ,I decided to still stomach and try to eat the food. I could not finish my meal and neither cook my wife. The manager had the audacity to suggest taking 25% off of my bill. After several minutes of conversation, she decided to cancel my order. My wife and I were sick the whole evening with just the thought of eating our food and then realizing there was a long strand of hair in it. read more

I worked in Omaha for 19 months. There was a Cheddar's right down the road. We passed it all the time on some other place to eat. The locals didn't deem it lunch worthy, so I was skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised. The decor was nice and included a huge fish tank behind the bar. Our server was very pleasant and just attentive enough. Mom had the chicken strips and shrimp, which came with two sides. It was a LOT of food for the money. She seemed to enjoy it. I had the Key West Chicken and Shrimp. It was good. I had broccoli and sweet baby carrots as sides. The broccoli was steamed and delightfully healthy. I was pleased it didn't come swimming in butter. The carrots were also steamed and deliciously sweet. The chicken was service with pineapple, rice and tiny slices of jalapeño. I wasn't expecting the jalapeño; it caught me off guard. It added a nice heat, but I'm not really a 'heat' person. They were easy to avoid... and I did. Still, if someone was interested in a little kick, these jalapeños are a nice touch. I'm not sure I'd go back, but not because it was a bad experience... because it wasn't. It wasn't special, either. Pretty standard fare for a chain restaurant. I suppose if I were in the area I would go back, but I am rarely in the area and most likely won't drive just to come to Cheddar's. Still... it's a nice addition to the area. Dined with with a friend and ordered the 'lunch combo.' It includes your choice of a 1/2 club sandwich, soup, a salad, and a baked potato. You have the option of 2 items for $7.99 or 3 items for $8.99. I opted for the club sandwich and salad. Both were excellent and for $7.99, I was stuffed. My friend and I also shared an order of the Wisconsin cheese bites, which were to die for. My salad also came with a croissant. Very good food and great service. The only negative was the hostess, who made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome when I entered the restaurant. I was 'eyed' from head-to-toe, only to make eye contact with her when she was finished (I'm sure that made her feel uncomfortable and hopefully helped her realize that this behavior is RUDE). I Love Cheddar's. I have been to several in various states and they have all been clean, with happy employees, great service and delicious food. Last night my son brought me to the Cheddar's on Springdale Avenue in Cincinnati for a Day after Mother's Day celebration. We arrived at 8:15pm. We were seated and ordered right away. The family next to us left early when they were told after an hour that it was still going to be awhile before their food was delivered! 2 hours later we finally received our food which was luke warm at best. The steaks were not done as requested, the ribs I had were hard and dried out. The shrimp was disgusting and tasted and looked like they were taken off someone else's plate. 2 or 3 of the shrimp weren't edible as they were just parts of shrimp like they had been bit off. I'm attaching a picture. The worst happened when my son returned from the restroom with a story about a guy snorting drugs in the next stall who turned out to be an employee. This was a major disappointment. The manager made himself scarce as well but It could have been because he had to help in the kitchen so no more people left because of wait time. read more

I can't believe I have never heard of this place before last night! The portions are big and the price is very cheap for what you get! We started off with an appetizer of Onion Rings, which were piled up high. If I were to see this somewhere else I would guess it would cost at least 7-8$ ( typical price at most other restaurants), but it was only 4.58ish. I ordered the Salmon dinner which came with rice and two sides. I got corn and mashed potatoes. I was expecting a small piece of salmon because the dish was so cheap around 12$. Well I was wrong! The salmon was at least 9oz, and very thick. This dish could have easily been priced at 20$. I was stuffed when we left and our dinner was only 33$ (two drinks, appetizer, and two dinners). The decor is really nice, the food is even better. Make sure you check it out! It's my new favorite place to eat! read more

I love coming here with my grandmother! The food portions are good the price that you pay, and not to mention the quality of the food. You can tell that the food is fresh versus other chain restaurants. The servers are always friendly and helpful, but not overwhelming. The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant is nice too. I've never gone during the weekend during the evening, I presume it would be jam packed otherwise. I recently went on a Wednesday afternoon, around 4:30-5:00pm and while there was a decent crowd, we were seated immediately and got our food within 20 minutes of ordering. I found out last night as well that each Cheddar's location donates the unused food, which made me feel really happy as well, that way they are able to continue using fresh ingredients that don't go to waste. read more

Phenomenal! Ok let me start this by saying there are so many things to look at in this establishment, there were these windmill lookin things that were just spinnin'. Absolutely bonkers right? The chicken tenders were quite crunchy and they tasted great with the ever so amazing sights and sounds. I went for the first time and I have to say that I am very pleased from the time I walked in until the time I walked out. It was crowded but we seemed to get a table pretty fast. The service was good, the atmosphere was nice. I ordered chicken tenders and shrimp when my plate came I was amazed at how much was on the plate. the breading was good and light with plenty of crunch. The potatoes was really good. overall the food was delicious. I will be going back I want to try the chicken and Waffle's and compare it to Smoqs. read more

The restaurant was very nice and clean. Service was good. I'm a salad person. The crispy chicken tender salad was definitely not worth the money. I have never seen a restaurant not have Italian dressing. My opinion overpriced for the quantity of food. This was my first time eating at a Cheddar's and my last time.
