Chicken Tender Platter (No. 8 Special)

greeted promptly upon arrival and sat almost immediately around 6pm on a tuesday. server came over and got drinks and croissants and cheese bites within minutes. salads came out right on time and absolutely delicious. the white fish was crispy and crunchy and seasoned perfectly, not too much not too little. the fries were great and plentiful. i was stuffed about halfway through but everything was so good i went ahead and finished anyway and everything was amazing so i got the fried apple pie to go. service was great, food was great, a nice ambiance and enjoyable evening. for the price and service this is definitely going into rotation as a regular dinner spot. thanks everyone.

Staff here is always so incredibly nice. We visit for my cousin's birthday each year and always have a good waiter. The food isn't anything special but I always love the drinks. They're always fun and can help you have a fun time, too. There wasn't a great spot for our party but we squeezed into one of the back rooms well enough.

I don't frequent many chain establishments but this one gets two thumbs up from me. My beautiful wife is fond of cheddar's so she wanted to introduce me. We were bummed to find out the ranch dressing has been altered over time. However the food was satisfying. I had a side salad which was nice and cold. We also had the spinach artichoke dip. Not sure want makes it Santa Fe style as ours did not come with salsa. Still it was tasty and had sour cream. The chips were crispy and not too salty. The star of the show was the buffalo chicken wrap. The tenders were bomb. The pickles and cheese it comes with were a nice touch. The New Orleans pasta was good although I wish it had more sausage and was not ziti. The shrimp in it was very good. We balled out and had The cookie sundae thing and it was great. Good service. Lots of parking. Good decor. The screen/tablet thing on the table was kinda gross and not clean. Good prices.

This place is definitely getting five stars from me! After visiting one of the local museums, my wife and I stopped by here at the recommendation of a co-worker. From the moment we entered, we were impressed by the restaurant's design. My wife, being a fish lover, was really into the double-sided fish tank. Once seated, our very gracious server Wesley took the time to go over the menu with us while making his suggestions. We decided on the Steak & Ribs, mashed potato, and broccoli casserole. Normally we get different items and share to get a broader experience, but by his description, we both were eager to have our own plates. He convinced us to start with the honey butter croissants for our appetizer and yes, they were amazing! I'm glad the order didn't take long because we would have made a meal out of that alone! I'm a bread eater and this was about as good as you can get when it comes to a croissant: hot, steamy, flakey, and caressed in honey butter. Both the steak AND the ribs were tender, flavorful, cooked to perfection and wonderful with their aftertaste. Add the incredible broccoli casserole and mashed potatoes (which weren't lacking in the least) and you've got one great experience. We try to visit a different spot each time we go to a city, but that's going to be hard when we return to Cincy because I want that exact same meal, again and again! I can only pray that they bring the chain to Columbus someday...

Cheddars was delicious... we had great service and truly, the food is so tasty. I was unable to take a photo of the honey butter croissants because we devoured them so quickly. They were so soft and buttery and sweet, I had to order another serving. The spinach dip is the best I've had, and the salsa that comes with it was just the right balance of heat and flavor. The chicken strips are the star, they are delicious. I look forward to returning when I am back in the area.

Another nice dinner with the family. Service was excellent and meal portions were HUGE! Come hungry and they won't disappoint! Busy evening after a quick wait we were seated and served immediately. Big menu and lots of choices for everyone! Glad we stopped back.

I met my aunt here for dinner the other night. It was fairly busy, but we luckily didn't have a wait like larger groups were experiencing and were seated right away. Service was, expectedly, a little slow, but our server was attentive enough that we were able to order a soon as we knew what we wanted. We decided to split everything, so that we could try multiple items this visit. For an appetizer, we shared the queso, it had good flavor, and the consistency was fairly creamy without being too thick. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and Monte Cristo for entrees. Both very generous portions and we could have easily made a meal out of just one of them. We are both a fan of Buffalo chicken wraps in general, and there's are a hit. Lots of filling in the wraps, and great flavor! The Monte Cristo is something neither of us had ever had before, and it was good, but not something I would want leftovers of again. The fries were good, but definitely came from different batches, as they were noticeably different in temperature. I've always had positive experiences at this location, and do enjoy the food any time I've been here.

Standard food and your average chain. Service was good, but the best thing about this visit was the warm honey butter croissants, yum!

It's been years since either of us has been to a Cheddars. We were quite pleasantly surprised. The food was very good, as was the service. As we entered, we were greeted by the hostes, and she even asked if we preferred a table or booth. I've always had to ask for a table. I was very impressed.

Grilled white fish over rice and green beans.
    Janet G.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch and we were really hoping it wouldn't be a long wait, as we were on our way out of town. We had tried to eat here on a Sunday night a few days earlier and, even with several empty tables in the place the hostess said it would be a 25 minute wait- at 8pm. We walked in today and were seated immediately. The hostess was very friendly. Our server was at our table right away and got our drink order. She came back with our drinks and those sinful croissants within minutes. We gave her our order- we ordered an entree with 2 white fish filets and 2 sides. We ordered a salad as one of our sides and ordered an extra salad. She brought those right away. I failed to get a pic but they were huge salads with mixed greens, grated carrots, boiled eggs, cheese, croutons and cherry tomatoes. Everything was very fresh. Our entree came and she brought the extra plate with it. This is always a plus because sometimes they don't and we have to wait for the extra plate. The filets were huge and piping hot. The green beans were seasoned nicely. The food was all delicious. We had an excellent server and great food that came in a timely manner. Definitely a pleasant experience for us.

Everything is seasoned perfectly, cooked right, and served hot. The fried fish was crispy and flavorful, the mac and cheese was rich and comforting, the greens tasted like they came straight out of someone's family kitchen, and the candied yams were sweet and done just right. It's the kind of plate that reminds you why Southern cooking is so special. But what really stood out to me wasn't just the food. It was the customer service. In most places, you either get incredible food with average service, or great service with food that's just okay. Southern Grace somehow manages to deliver both at a very high level. From the moment you walk in, you're treated with genuine kindness and respect. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and you can tell they actually care about the experience they're giving their customers. I have to make a special mention to one of the team members LaDon for his exceptional professionalism. That kind of consistency between food quality and customer service is rare. It makes the entire experience feel personal rather than transactional. If you're looking for authentic Southern food paired with top-tier hospitality, Southern Grace is absolutely worth the visit. Places like this remind you what real customer service is supposed to feel like.

Fried Chicken? Libby's gots the goods!…read more I've been here a few times now. A lover of fried chicken who is always on the hunt for the good stuff, Libby's does not disappoint. Located just over the river in Covington, KY, Libby's is only a few blocks walk from some of the happenings in Covington, like the Madison Theatre and Madison Live. There's a decent pay parking lot right at the intersection just across the street from Libby's. I went for the fried chicken and that's what I got.... both times. Libby's is nowhere near me so it was worth the 40 minute drive to get there the first time and an easy go-to for the second time around when I was going out for the night in Covington. The fried chicken is super crispy, full of flavor and moist and delicious. Libby's crushes it when it comes to the fried chicken. Here's the thing - I got sides both times. The chicken, being the feature of the meal, was so good that I don't even remember the sides that I got. I can say though that they were good. Libby's is popular. So, plan on a wait or, if available, to take a seat at the bar. Libby's isn't huge but they have space to take on a larger table of people to small high-tops for two or, again, for one or a few to grab a seat at the bar. The staff is friendly and helpful. We never wanted for anything. They were on top of it without bothering you. Would I go back? Cluck yeah, I'd go back. Remember when I said "Libby's gots the goods"? I wasn't kidding. Go find out for yourself and get you some and then come back and tell me how right I was.

Wobbly table, several groups were there. (I guess service guest service is a dying profession) ? I don't understand why a restaurant resorts to plastic cups from Pepsi or paper napkins? Prices don't reflect that. Sorry I digress Service was slow and she forgot our order, eh? No suggestions for menu options or anything. We chose fried green tomatoes and deviled eggs. Oil for fgtom tastes old. Not delicious eggs with ok. Service is sloppy slow. ( do I keep the fork I used for tomatoes for my entree? I'm at a wobbly table, service is slow and you had to ask for drinks silver ware. I had the 2 piece dark chicken. Good but really spicy and I like spice but this is extremely intense. The Charlie Brown entre was a lot of melted cheese and burnt bacon.our guests had the shrimp and the salmon. It was so loud, screaming across the table loud and there were all of 8 people besides us. My chicken would have been good if it weren't so overbred and over spicy. I had to ask for more beverages. I just don't understand how a restaurant that charges these prices and is mediocre. Paper napkins tv everywhere and not on LOUD, outdoor tables and no cloth. Service that connects with the patrons. This is not greyhound or tousey house. . WHAT KIND OF PLACE IS THIS. The place is small and had a very weird vibe between fine dining and kitschy. White tablecloths, but then lots of purple and pictures of roosters everywhere (I realize the name, but hmmm). Our server was lovely but would disappear for too long between times when she should have been present. We ordered our drinks at 745pm, and I watched them sit at the end of the bar. Finally, at 805pm, I went to the bartender and said, "those are our drinks that have been sitting there for a while". Our server brought them over like we ordered them 5 minutes prior. But the lovely owner/manager came over and said the "drinks are on me" because we waited so long. We appreciated that! The fried chicken was good, but the breading was very salty. The green beans were almost inedible because they were so salty. The mashed potatoes were average. The biscuits were fantastic. The fried deviled eggs were okay. A regular deviled egg is better. The shrimp and grits had a lot going on. The shrimp was lightly battered and fried (?) and the flavor of the dish was bold. I think sauteed shrimp and a little less gravy would make it perfect.

The dry rub wings are my go-to: perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of heat and flavor, and even better when paired with their bama white sauce. If you're leaning sandwich, you can't go wrong with a pulled pork or pulled chicken sammy topped with their Carolina gold sauce--it's tangy, slightly sweet, and completely addictive. And the fries?
