This place is an absolute hidden gem. As other's have mentioned, it's located in the old Larosas building. Place is extremely clean. Quick peek into the kitchen revealed someone who absolutely cares. Things were orderly and clean. Even the hoods were clean! Also as previously mentioned, this is a family establishment. I met the owner and he was kind enough to share his story. They are living the American dream by hard work and persistence. The food was more than fairly priced and delicious. Portions were large and beautifully presented. Server, who happened to be the son of the owner, hustled and was extremely polite. Everything that my family ordered was delicious. It is not your typical "Mexican" food. It is Guatemalan and it is delicious! I have found a new spot!

We had a larger party of 8 and were greeted with warmth and smiles! Everyone's order was made as requested and the kitchen even took allergies into account in preparation and the staff came out repeatedly to make sure we were ok. I will be back here again for the family atmosphere, reasonable prices and fresh ingredients. Everything was so good!

A party of three of us came here on Friday evening right at 9PM. We sat ourselves after a friendly greeting by the staff. The tables and restaurant were super clean. We promptly received menus and water before placing our orders. We ordered Birria, Al Pastor, and Chicken tacos with an entree of empanadas for an appetizer. The food came out fast, plated very nice, and the fresh flavors popped with every bite. Everything we ordered was delicious. And the prices were extremely reasonable. We will definitely be coming back here when we visit again for UC Family Weekend.

Great!?! Delicious, priced well, and the chef even came over to check on us. Why haven't we ever been here before?

This unassuming location is full of absolutely delicious food. The service was quick and we were brought a plate of salsa and chips when we sat down. The salsa is great - deep, roasted flavor that sets it apart from other standard Ohio Mexican restaurants. And the chips were hot! We also got an order of guacamole, which was fresh, full of lime, cilantro, and very creamy avocados. Our server also brought out three additional bottles of salsas for us to try that were fantastic as well (be cautious of the red one, that spice lingers!). I ordered the Tacos Birrias meal and it was out of this world. I would consider myself a birria connoisseur - these were perfection. Generously filled tacos, incredible stew, delicious tortillas. The rice and beans were very authentic too - there's no GFS vegetable rice blend happening here, it's the real deal. I was in the clean plate club. My mom ordered the chicken Huarache and she said it was great as well. Again very generous portions, she said the green peppers were mild with good flavor. We were both very impressed for our first visit. I'm glad I checked Yelp to find this place - we'll be back!

We wanted to try out more local Guatemalan food (to support our fellow Chapínes) and we hit the perfect spot! The music the had on was a wide variety of salsa, norteñas, a bit of cumbia: it wasn't too loud either! We got the chips and salsa, and the three sauces we got were each different flavors but so delicious: not too spicy either. I forgot what my mom and sister had, but the Torta de Carne Asada that I got was just tooooo good: the meat was soft and tender and well seasoned! I also got an elote loco: they're different from Mexican ones, but still really good! Our food came out quick as well! I highly recommend Tacana Grill if you want good vibes and even better food!

This restaurant was recommended by a friend last weekend and my son and I came for dinner tonight. The food was absolutely top notch. We got birria tacos, asada and pastor tacos, a tostada and a chuchito (tamale). The tacos came with a hot sauce (red) that was smooth and tasted of roasted corn. The verde salsa was also quite nice with good heat. The chips and salsa that came out at the beginning were very nice. The salsa was freshly made with roasted tomatoes and peppers. It had a good heat, but not too much. We both left completely stuffed with a portion leftover. This is a family run business with quick, attentive service. We will certainly be back!! Update. We've been back twice more and have tried more items, working our way through the menu. I am report that everything has been consistently good on all visits. This place has the best tripe I've had at a variety of taco shops across the city. The huaraches was outstanding. The shrimp for the tacos tastes grilled.

Great latin food from a Guatemalan family owed place. Hot salsa and well executed plates of deliciousness what else do you need? I think it used to a an old LaRosas but clean and somewhat familiar. They do a lot of carry out so it takes a bit to get your meal but worth the wait. We sat down and were greeted with a grin and a quick drink order she returned with our drinks followed by Chips and salsa. I had the tacana grill which was great with perfectly cooked beans and rice and a grilled jalapeño and small spring onion. Not a mild jalapeño but that, with the salsa made it great. The street corn took a while but was the perfect way to end my meal. My son had four tacos, two asada, one chicken and one shrimp. All were gone in a few minutes. He said they reminded him of the tacos when we were in Cancun. Small but very tasty. Different country but still high praise for their tacos. I'm certain we'll be back to support this family doing everything right. Cheers!

Birria Tacos, street corn, tacana grill meal. Amazing!

Best Mexican restaurant we've ever been to!! Very delicious, amazing service! We'll definitely be back!

Tostadas - chicken. My wife loved them.

The service was incredible! Kenny and Iris were the only English speaking staff and were VERY attentive. Kenny suggested that I do three different types of entrees in a combo platter. The Birria Tacos are F'ing INCREDIBLE!!! You MUST get the Birria Tacos - a shredded beef taco, where the shredded beef has been cooked all day in an incredible broth. The ambiance of the restaurant is like any other Latin American restaurant - latin music and some decorative art. The restaurant used to be a LaRosa's pizzeria - and still has that feeling a little. Again - my family loved all of there foods, but my mouth and soul sang with those Birria Tacos!

The service was fast, the staff was pleasant, there was tons of space for my antsy toddler to run a circle around our table and not bother anyone. The food was prepared well but all of it wasn't seasoned well. Here's what we ate: --Bistek de pollo a la pobre (thin pan fried chicken breast topped with a fried egg, served with rice, fries, and plantains). This chicken was perfection. So flavorful. I could've done without the egg but I also asked for it to be fried hard to do away with any funniness. I bet it's extra tasty that way for ppl who like that type of thing. --Mojarra Dorado (a fried whole tilapia). Cooked perfectly but the "Peruvian spices" the menu promises were either nonexistent or tasteless. We took most of this home, and I seasoned it up and added a sauce...much better and a quick meal! --kids chicken nuggets. I didn't try it, and honestly my little ppl were already full because of what I'm about to share next. Unsure if the toddler would like it, we fed the 3yo Wendy's chicken nuggets (it's in the same parking lot) before going in. While we were eating another couple came in with their little one in tow and a chick-fil-a bag...so maybe it's a thing to feed your children what they want so you can enjoy your experience in peace ‍ Either way, the staff seemed fine with them bringing food in. Lastly, about the staff being great: my 1yo upchucked before the food came, on herself and the highchair. They brought me paper towels to clean her up and then took away the dirty chair to clean and brought us a new one. I was all ready to clean that chair myself but they wouldn't let me. It was a kind gesture.

They were at an old location before, but the upgrade is way nicer. You can definitely come here with the family, kids, or by yourself. Prices: The price for the food can get expensive but the amount of food they give you is worth it. So definitely the price and food amount add up. Like my fav dish is the fried rice, and it's like 22$, but it feeds 2. Service- I think they could do a lot better with their service it takes them a while before the waiter will come around and refill your water, so not bad but not the best. Just whenever you get your waiter or waitress, make sure you give everything to them because you might not see them in a while. Food - the food here is amazing it tastes very fresh and very flavorful. From a 0 and spice level to 100 if you like, I love the variety of that. Like I said, my favorite food here is the fried rice with shrimp. I could eat this every day with the green pepper. I would have posted pictures, but I ate it before I could even think next time, LOL.

Hell, we're still sussing out the Colombian vs. Venezuelan arepa rivalry. But the arepa pabellon at Arrechissimo (this apparently means "awesome" in Venezuelan Spanish) wins the prize for us so far, and it's not even close. Even if it initially seems expensive at $13.50, it is a near-miraculous little food item, regardless of one's knowledge about arepas generally. It's perfect in its simplicity and greater than the sum of its parts: Wonderful white-corn flatbread style rolls with a great balance of fluffy and crisp, flavorful shredded beef, fried plantains, black beans, and melted mild cheese. Add the spicy cilantro salsa, which is just about perfect in its own right. By the way, despite its compact size, the arepa pabellon is plenty filling. Arrechissimo is just a food stand with maybe four outdoor tables. The setting in quiet Deer Park is pleasant and comfortable enough, when the weather is reasonably nice. Unfortunately for us, Arrechissimo is far enough away that carryout is not a suitable option during those too-many months when Cincinnati weather is not so nice.
