Amazing food with amazing people! Came in here for a quick bite after walking around Wyoming. The staff here is super kind and helpful. If you don't know what you want to order. I went with their special, the Chicharrone arepa. It had sweet plantain, corn, & crispy pork. I also grabbed Columbian lemonade to drink. Super refreshing! They have a large lot w/ plenty of parking, super easy to access.

Ok, just found our new local breakfast spot! Servers are friendly, ambiance is cozy and the food tastes like home!

Such a great place to grab a bite to eat. Plenty of hearty vegetarian options as well as chicken, steak, cheese and chorizo. Very clean and comfortable. The service was quick and friendly. I tried the vegetarian stuffed arepa and the aguapanela, both were excellent. I loved how refreshing the aguapanela is was! Definitely worth the stop if you are in the area!

Considering he comes here weekly, I was ecstatic to finally be able to try out this place as a last stop before my return flight. I definitely didn't know what I was doing even after being given tips by him and the staff. I got lost reading the menu because my brain kept saying "yes I want that, and oooohh yes that one too" - that I subconsciously tuned out. But lesson learned, next time I'd do the Build Your Own Arepa option instead, for a couple bucks extra you'd get everything stuffed in your arepa! Nonetheless, the Chicken and Cheese Stuffed Arepa that I got was awesome. The arepa was toasty warm, and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside with generous filling. It completely filled me up. The flavors are bold and tangy, paired with the Aji Colombiano salsa, damn couldn't help but licking my lips after I devoured the entire thing. Also worth mentioning that aside from the Stuffed Arepa, they also have Loaded Cheese Arepa where the filling are on top of the arepa instead of stuffed inside. As above mentioned, I'd definitely recommend the Build Your Arepa option for first-timers. You'll get to taste all of the filling (or remove what you don't want) for just a couple bucks more. His Build Your Own Arepa looked so damn good and my greedy ass wished I listened and got that instead. Service was great! Everyone here was friendly and their energies were enigmatic. You place your order at the counter when you walk in then they'll bring your food to your table. You bus your own table afterwards. By the way they also have refrigerated items and some more on the shelves for purchase. The place is very clean, modern and inviting. It's a no brainer why this place is a local favorite!

Really good price for good food! The service was pleasant and the food was good. I liked that the chorizo wasn't the standard crumbly type but rather still in a sausage form and sliced long ways. I can be rather picky about chorizo because it can be so greasy but this was done beautifully. The bread was pretty good and did a good job of soaking up the extra juices, however it's not the big fluffy type, but still good. They have plenty of seating and I saw a sign for a patio, would be excellent to check out in the spring!

The Arepa place is a great lunch spot and makes an amazing takeout option. I absolutely love all of their sauces, but I think the blanca is my fave. Pro tip: mix the sauces. Their plantain chips are literally perfect and such a good starter to the meal. Staff is super friendly. The space itself is bright and cozy. From the mural on the outside to the vibrant decor inside, it's a super fun place to eat. The only thing holding me back from that fifth star was that the tortilla for my arepa seemed a little stale when I dined in for lunch recently. When I got it as takeout, I remember it being soft and fresh.

Went here to get some food. It is unique (for around here) with Columbian-Venezuelan food. Such friendly people t and there is a good vibe about the place. There is an outdoor patio which looks very inviting. I'd never had plaintain chips before or arepas - both of which I really enjoyed. My hubby was happy to see that you could buy little packages of Dulce de Leche too. I really hope this place makes it

Finally made it in... Service: Everyone was welcoming and friendly. The service was a tad slow though. The Great Arepa: for the restaurant name to have "Arepa" in it, the taste was just ok. I did like the tortilla type thing that it was wrapped in, nice and crunchy. I also liked the cheese. I bet the breakfast arepa is delicious. They have a breakfast arepa with chorizo that I'd be interested in trying. Salsas: Verde, holy smokes, this was a no for me. I felt like it was straight from the garden and all the liquid from the salsa was extracted. The Blanco sauce was an absolute winner. I'm a sauce girl and this salsa was very very good. Empanadas: Now we are talking...the beef and the chicken were very delicious. I enjoyed every bite dipped in the blanco salsa. So good. They were very crunchy, you could barely cut with a fork and knife. I was expecting the outside to be softer maybe but the taste was there. Drinks: Refajo cocktail was very very good. It was beer with soda and white rum. I can definitely see myself coming here randomly for that drink and some empanadas. The bartender had me a bit nervous at first, she seemed like she was new to bartending and that always makes you want to crawl out of a place. She did fine though. She was also very friendly. I'm rooting for this place but that building seems to always be the worst spot for small restaurants. I will return to try breakfast. Oh and they also have a few novelty looking candy items for purchase. We bought some type of coffee candy which was very good, give that a try. Big bag for $4.50.

Stuffed arepa, beef empanada & chicken empanada- background is plantain chips with verde & Roja.

Wonderful food & Amazing staff. We did a pick up order and it was ready in 20 minutes. Our last visit we had their beef, chicken & cheese empanadas, 4 great arepas, 2 build your own, plantain chips with guacamole and a vegetarian arepa.. everything was great. Their salsas are so fresh! I could eat the verde every day. If you are a cilantro lover like me- it's a must!

What a semi-hidden gem. These guys nailed the arepa. Literally better than arepas ive had in FL. They have an outdoor patio which has alot of shade. Great place to hang out and have great food.

In the meantime we got the warm olives and goat cheese as a starter. We got a bunch of other fresh dishes like their jicama/green mango salad (very okay, a little light on flavor) and their venison crudo - so so good and great flavor. The paella was fantastic and had so much seafood in it, nice charred rice, great flavor. We also got patatas bravas and pulpo. The pulpo octopus is a must-eat. It comes cut up in very tender pieces on light fluffy mashed potato - seriously so good. We were stuffed after trying everything. Highly recommend! Mita's also qualifies for Chase Sapphire's dining credit, so if you're looking for a spot in Cincinnati, look no further.

There were only 3 of us, so we figured ordering a few plates would suffice... except when our server told us we would need way more. We were a bit surprised to be told that everything basically came in twos or was a very small portion! (Confusing because when I think family style I think BIG plates) This is a TAPAS place... family style but small appetizers and drinks style restaurant!! So you probably won't leave here full!! The server was kind and very knowledgeable! She gave us plenty of time to pick and choose! We decided on bread w/ oil & salsa ($11), guac & tostones ($13), ceviche of the day ($22), 2 chicken skewers ($19), 2 pork belly tacos ($16), & 3 beef empanadas ($22.5) I will say all of the food was PHENOMENAL... chicken skewers were perfect (might be spicy for some), ceviche (red snapper our day) was my favorite... just a super small portion for $22, empanadas were perfect, and the oils and bread was top notch!! Seriously have nothing bad to say about the food (BRAVO Chef Jose Salazar.... You really know how to do your thing!!!!) I loved it and really enjoyed my time, but if you're looking for a fancy, cute, SMALL dinner vibe - this would be the jackpot find! Or even a drink/apps before a bigger dinner date. (But if you're looking for a traditional large family style meal, I wouldn't go here) Our bill ended up over $150, but when divided it was really only around $55 each!! Not too bad for a fun fancy meal! I would love to come here again and try more, especially knowing the menu has lots of daily rotations (ex. The ceviche) Thank you again for a lovely experience!!!

We began googling places to eat and happened upon a listing for The Colombian Corner. "Colombian food? In Lawrenceburg?," we asked ourselves. "Why sure," we answered. This ended up being quite possibly the best decision we've made in a very, very long time. The Colombian Corner is a family-owned Colombian restaurant (mom, dad, 3 brothers) located in a regular-appearing strip mall. It, however is NOT regular. It is unique, local, delicious, and truly a treasure. We were greeted warmly, supplied with complimentary plantain chips and creole sauce, and given a rundown of both the specials and any regular menu items about which we had questions. They also made sure to explain which items could be altered and adjusted to fit any dietary preferences and allergy needs. Juices and sauces are made in house; there are at least 7 salsa/sauces - my favorites were the spicy green salsa and the creole sauce (SO much delicious garlic). I ordered the vegan platter: sauteed mushrooms, corn, white rice, pinto beans, yuca fries, and plantains. SO good, SO fresh, and enough to take some home for lunch the next day. Although The Colombian Corner is about 1 hour away from home, I am absolutely upon and willing to make the trip to Lawrenceburg just to eat here again.

All tables have the cutest box-light centerpieces, all with fresh flowers, that added to the ambiance. Our server, Kayla, was smiley and fun! She explained all we needed to know about the nightly specials. She knew the menu well. There were also lovely food runners and other staff that kept our night going smoothly. This is what we had for dinner and our thoughts: Mussels - The PEI mussels were so plump and cooked perfectly. We sopped up all the broth we could with the charred bread pieces. I wanted to pick up the bowl and drink the rest. We order mussels at most places that offer them, and these were the best we have had in Cincinnati. Croquetas - These were interesting. The flavors were good, but we thought the consistency was a little pasty. It was like all the ingredients were blended up together in a, well, paste. Pasta Duo - We chose the Wild Mushroom in vodka sauce, and the Gnocchi Bolognese. We thought the vodka sauce overwhelmed the mushroom in the ravioli and that maybe a lighter sauce would complement the mushroom filling better. However, the sauce was excellent. The gnocchi were pillowy and tasty with the sauce, but there was not much beef in the bolognese. Although these weren't the favorites of the night, they were still very good. Skirt Steak with Chimichurri - OMG! I don't usually order steak out, but serving skirt is rare and it is one of my favorite cuts. It was so tender with a fabulous grill flavor and the most delicious chimichurri. Except for about four bites my wife enjoyed, I ate the whole 10oz steak!! It is pricy, but I would gladly spend the money for this excellent preparation again. The potatoes were roasted and seasoned well, but I wish there were more than five pieces of asparagus for the price. Chocolate Caramel Tiramisu - Very light and chocolatey. Yum! The blend of flavors and textures was absolutely perfect. They really know what they're doing. One of those items we weren't sure about was the Croqueta, but it was delicious.
