Phenomenal! Ok let me start this by saying there are so many things to look at in this establishment, there were these windmill lookin things that were just spinnin'. Absolutely bonkers right? The chicken tenders were quite crunchy and they tasted great with the ever so amazing sights and sounds. Only thing I could suggest to make this establishment better is to add more of those badass windmill things. One in every corner. Each patron deserves to be mesmerized just as I was. read more

The restaurant was very nice and clean. Service was good. I'm a salad person. The crispy chicken tender salad was definitely not worth the money. I have never seen a restaurant not have Italian dressing. My opinion overpriced for the quantity of food. This was my first time eating at a Cheddar's and my last time. On the brighter side, my husband had the meatloaf and said his food was good. read more

Great service. Quick getting in. Didn't have to wait. Server was very attentive and friendly. Food is always amazing! We love the comfortable cozy environment here! read more

Very underwhelming experience. Food took much longer than expected. Standard burgers took a long time, and the chicken pot pie was dry and overcooked. :( read more

It was ok food. Not a very clean restaurant. Had bugs flung around our food. Won't be back again.

don't ever order country fried steak, worse ever, 2/3 crust, 1/4 inch steak something. at Springdale road, Cincinnati Ohio.

First time customer. Excellent customer service from server. Ordered from the lighter fare menu for my wife and myself. Green beans were extraordinarily salty. Other food was somewhat salty as well. Communicated this to server. Also stated that lighter fare menu should not just be fewer calories but also more heart health friendly from sodium content. As a health professional, persons with hypertension and heart disease should be aware of this. Otherwise food was very good read more

I'll start by saying this used to be a nice place to eat my family and I arrived around 7ish we were told our wait would be 10-15 minutes which actually ended up being more like 25 I started getting a bad vibe the longer we waited and wanted to leave but agreed to stay as the kids really wanted to eat here once we were seated this ended up being freaknik 96 the atmosphere was terrible the booth we were seated in was in a busy area with patrons and workers constantly walking past and made it difficult to enjoy dinner the waiter was nice but we had to ask for silverware, straws, napkins and if he could take our dirty dishes and cups away I ordered the steak and rib combo the ribs were good but kinda cold, green beans and loaded potato not so much at all, couldn't eat the steak but once I got home decided to try it and it was pink all throughout needless to stay I was disappointed and even more so because this was one of my favorite places but I will not be returning read more

I took my mother to this place and we both enjoyed our stay very much. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated. Our server, Daniel, was very professional and courteous. He made sure our needs were met. Our food did not take long at all to get after our order and was better than expected. I will most definitely be back to this location. read more

This restaurant is a home run for Colerain. Other than it looking amazing and having a great ambiance, the food was great. The brick exterior, outside patio, and fountain are a nice touch which certainly gives a sense of being upscale. The inside is equally appointed having lots of seating and a bar separated from the main dining area. The menu is pretty American having ribs, steak, chicken as well as Salmon and shrimp. Even though American may seem average, the food was not. I enjoyed a steak and rib combo. The steak was good, but not as good as the ribs. My wife enjoyed her Salmon, which was a sizable portion. Guests at our tablle oredered the Shepherds Pie and Spaghetti Lasagna. We all agreed we'd eat the dishes again. On this particular night, the restaurant was open by invitation only, though it was a full restaurant with patrons having to wait a short period. It opens for business to the public on Monday. Though the service folks were all new, they were courteous and attentive. Quick notes... Good portion size. Very reasonable prices. Recommendations...Onion rings! Rib combos. Chicken fingers. Everything seemed pretty good to us. read more

Never had an issue with this location before until recently. (Side note: I grew up with a Cheddars in my hometown so I am used to the menu and have always enjoyed it). Been to this location a couple of times and the food and service were great. However, the last time was bad. My husband, two children and my in laws and I were wanting to order Cheddars to go for dinner. The reason why we didn't want to eat there was because it was my youngest child's 1 yr birthday and we wanted other people to enjoy their dinners and didn't want to be disruptive. So, we decided eating it at home would be best. I got everyone's orders and was about the leave work for the day. So I called to place a to go order. Very rudely I was told that I could not place a carry out order that they don't do phone orders. What restaurant doesn't do to go orders? So I called another restaurant and we spent $70 somewhere else. I even contacted the location and they did not respond so obviously they do not care about losing any money. read more

I loooove this place! The food is so good and they give big portions for a great price. The only downfall is that it's pretty crowded like all the time! The chicken fingers are so good and try the honey lime mustard. The ribs are so good too! Pretty much everything! Be sure to get the croissants too so good! read more

Our party of 3 arrived at about 8:00 on a Friday night and were pleasantly surprised that there was no wait. Our server was new and nervous, but also nice. She couldn't really recommend anything and admittedly hadn't tried very many items from the menu. We ordered the sirloin, broccoli, and fries. fried catfish, fries, and slaw Fiesta chicken, loaded potato, and green beans The food was pretty tasty, offered large portions and had a nice presentation. The steak had a tad too much char... Like the grill needed to be cleaned. Other than that, the flavor was good. The baked potato was 1/2 rotten. The server's inexperience was evident when she brought our food. We asked that she bring ketchup and steak sauce. It took her five minutes to return. It was further apparent when we showed her the 1/2 rotten potato and she simply apologized but didn't try to remedy the situation. Will we be back? Probably not.. read more

Extremely poorly managed. We went with our 3 small children a few weeks ago and we're seated outside. There was 2 other tables outside. A couple next to us that had waters and that was it. We waited 25 minutes and there were 5 servers outside... as they were chatting and catching up my husband said "Can your send us a server please?" One of the waitresses turned to us and said "You haven't had a server come out yet?" When he replied "No" she said "AWESOME" and turned her back to us to walk inside. We ended up leaving. We have it another shot last night with another couple. The waitress was pleasant, but my husband's tenets came out COLD. She put in another order and by the time it came out the rest of us were done eating.... and they were luke warm again! We asked our server to see if a manager could take care of it and she said absolutely but that she was "Going to look for a manager that would actually do something about it" (so obviously the servers don't even have manager support!) She came back out to tell us that the manager said he would only take the meal off the check if she took the actual food back! At this point, my husband has had NO dinner while the rest of us are finished! I immediately asked her to send the managerb out immediately. When she came back out (without a manager) we were told he decides to just take it off the bill. Pete (the manager because I asked for his name) is a coward of a manager who won't even show his face to guests with issues! It's obvious he shows no support to his staff either! After 2 tries, we're DONE with this restaurant! Beware, as the servers seem unhappy working there as well and you will most likely get poor service, due to terrible management. Zero stars if not for our kind, but stressed out, waitress who tried her best to make things right! read more

Really good experience here with Antonio as our waiter! Quick service, never had to ask for refills or boxes

Having been here to lunch on a Saturday about 8 months ago, I felt confident dinner service would be a comparable experience. I was mistaken. There was armed security at the front entrance. Clue #1. While the wait wasn't long, we were seated a few booths away from a large party. Loud, obnoxious and should've been in a private dining room. Our server was likely cross-breed with a sloth. We had been sitting for no less than 15 seconds when we were berated for our order and when we weren't ready, he just stood there. Our food was delivered by someone else and we didn't see our server again until the meal was over. The food was excellent (grilled salmon and a sirloin). But the atmosphere felt like a Waffle House at 3am. read more

The staff here doesn't care and it shows in the flavorless food, lack of refills, and general untidiness of the place. Ordered a club sandwich and it was inedible. Son's burger was so dry it had to go back.. was replaced by an only slightly less dry burger. Maybe if people just stop coming they'll do something. read more

The service was terrible. Stopped in to have a beer and an appetizer. After flirting with the only other customer at the bar for nearly 5 minutes the bartender finally took my order. I explained I would like to order an appetizer as well. Once my beer was delivered the bartender raced to the other customer and carried on a conversation that would make a sailor blush. I was never offered a menu or asked about placing a food order. I have never heard such inappropriate conversation in that type of setting in my 44 years. I will not return, and I hope the management gets control of the overly sexual conversation their bartenders are conducting in a family establishment. Focus on the customers around you, and look for a relationship / hookup after hours. read more

what a great night we had. First we were greeted at the door by someone opening the door for us to come in. Second we were seated immediately and the staff was so friendly. Third we had this amazing waiter named Anthony who treated us like gold served us the best food. We had a terrific night and we will definitely be returning. read more

We normally do not go to restaurants like this, but we had a gift certificate. We expected a wait. What we didn't expect was to be in a section where about 1/2 was occupied by a large group. This was the type of group that let their young children yell from table to table and run in the aisles. The food was good, but if this is the type of restaurant that attracts families that let their children be disruptive and not respect other diners, I have no desire to go back. read more

We went to this location last night with my brother and sister and some friends, while we were in town. We live in Illinois, and we're visiting for the holidays and this was our night away from the kids. My sister an I never get out of the house together so we were expecting a great time. We had a great time but it was not because of this restaurant. The place was so packed we had to wait for a full HOUR standing in the bar area to be seated. We were a party of 8, and they asked if it was okay to separate us to two tables and we said if they had to it was okay. We ended up at two booths side by side, and that was fine. However, my niece and I ordered beers and it took us 35 minutes to get them. I missed the bar all of a sudden desperately. Then it took us 90 minutes to get our food. Our husbands got there food a half hour before us and they never had to wait for beer. They had 3 each before we got through one round. When we asked why it was taking so long the waiter told us they were waiting on my well done burger (my BURGER!!!) to bring everyone else's meals. Really??? My sister's food was cold when she got it, she took it home so she could warm it up. They forgot our fries which you know you have to pay for separately (no fries with burgers? What on earth is that about.) My husband lost it at this point and called for a manager, who told us that when they split up a party you can't expect equal service, and that "this is just how it is and there was nothing he could do about it", and that once you leave the bar you can't expect to get drinks in a timely manner. If I had known that, let me tell you, I would have grabbed one of the trays from a waiter and I'd have gotten our own damn drinks from the bar!! All in all the food was good, the service was directly from the ninth circle of hell. =) read more

We enjoy the food and atmosphere, however the store is very short staffed. We left because there was a 20 minute wait due to shift change. There were many empty tables (not cleared though), and lots of people waiting to be seated. The store has to be losing revenue due to poor management. read more

I haven't been to Cheddar's in a long while because of the food coming out cold from my past visits and as of today with my visit it's improved a bit. But the chicken tenders could be a bit more hotter. read more

2.5 stars, really. - Extremely busy. Line out the door. We waited nearly an hour (and went to hhgregg to kill time). - There is a decent amount of space up front to wait in, which is nice. The fish tanks and dark wood are vaguely pleasing, too. - After being seated, we again waited quite a while before anyone asked for our drink order. There may have been some confusion about who was supposed to serve us. - Once we got a server, she was friendly and attentive. - Husband ordered ribs. A few min later, server came back to tell us that unfortunately they were out of ribs. Husband settled for chicken tenders but didn't really care for them. - I ordered chicken pot pie, which was pretty good, and an appropriate size (filling but not wastefully large). Verdict: The food is fine, just not worth a long wait. Hopefully this location will iron out its rhythm of service to reduce delays. read more

I am not one to complain and will eat my food even if it's wrong. But what the mac and cheese I got for a take out order was foul looking. Please see a photo in the photo section of Yelp. So gross I didn't eat it. read more

Just another dull-eyed corporate restaurant with mediocre quality and service. If you had to go here because grandma likes it, it wouldn't be the end of the world, I guess. If your reviews tend to have the word "portion" in them, you might disagree with my opinion. read more

I finally heard back from corporate with a seemingly canned response as it didn't respond to anything unique nor did it contain anything concrete about addressing the issue. To be fair, they did send a gift card, but I have no intention of using it. My original advice remains - AVOID this location for carside pickup. read more

Went for a relaxing dinner but left very disappointed and hungry. Took 1/2 hour for the tilapia and shrimp, luke warm at best when served. I removed the two small side dishes to find the plate had been wiped with a dirty towel. The waitress should have checked on my order but didn't and I noticed that most of the staff lacked the proper way of serving. Won't be going back to this location ever again. read more

Gave four stars specifically because the wait times are absolutely ridiculous. It doesn't matter what time of day you go - expect to wait 45min +. If you have a party bigger than four? Don't bother - wait is going to be even worse (I heard people being quoted upwards of an hour and a half) because we were told there are only a few tables in the entire restaurant equipped to seat large parties. Hopefully, this will change as the newness wears off. That being said, I LOVE the place. Prices are very good, portions are huge, and the staff seemed wonderful. We tried the chips and queso with seasoned ground beef as an appetizer - DELISH. Wasn't really wild about the salsa though. Each person in my party of four ordered something different, and we all wound up sampling bits off of each other's plates. I especially loved the Red Beans & Rice and the Broccoli Cheese Casserole. The chicken tenders are some of the best I've had - the breading is very light. I also got grilled shrimp, which were grilled with a spicy teriyaki style sauce - YUM! We didn't try dessert, because frankly, we were all ridiculously full. read more

Food was stale, service slow, restaurant looked dirty. So sad. It used to be excellent.

I put a review in on the Colerain location, and because it was a negative review they took it down. my review was that I ordered cheese bacon mash potatoes and they kept saying loaded. on the menu that isn't what they are called. I called and tried to tell them my order was wrong and I just got regular mash potatoes but the lady that I spoke with wouldn't listen to me. they have poor listing skills and if they would listen to the costumer then they might be able to get the order correct. this is after I spent $60 for lunch. what is the point of being able to write a review if they can just remove it. read more

I'd heard good things about the place, and it always seemed fairly packed and I assumed then that it must be good to always be so busy. I went twice in a period of a week or so, once with family and again with friends who had been wanting to try the place out. It was okay, definitely a typical chain restaurant. Nothing that makes it extraordinary or worth waiting more than 30-45 minutes, however. The portions of food were impressive and pretty good based on the prices. I was somewhat impressed by that, I will admit. I had the chicken and waffles the first time, and the steak the second. As I said, it was good, but nothing special. I think the chicken was probably better than the steak, though. I'm sure at some point I will find myself back there in the future, and I would probably order the chicken (and/or chicken and waffles) again. The service was pretty good both times, pretty quick and friendly. I did enjoy the interior of the restaurant, it's nicely decorated and feels different from all the other chain restaurants in the area. I'd recommend giving this place a try, but I wouldn't go in expecting to be wowed by it or anything. It's enjoyable but not somewhere you'll have the best meal of your life or anything. read more

We celebrated two family members' birthdays today. I went in with an open mind, but must say I won't be going back. The side dishes were bland and brought to the table lukewarm. We had to request they go heat them up. The best part of the meal was the ribeye steak. Even though it had a bit too much pink for my medium well request, the flavor was good. The dry parsley flakes could've been left off, altogether. The strawberry lemonade was like water and the peach tea wasn't much better. Our waitress was a bit slow and less attentive than I expected, even with something so simple as A1 sauce. I'd actually heard good things about this restaurant. Major disappointment, but the company of family was awesome. read more

First time at Cheddar's. Our waitress Vickie was so nice-a very Down-to-Earth young lady who was VERY ATTENTIVE to our needs and made sure we were totally happy....and we were! I ordered the Dijon Chicken and Mushroom dinner and my love ordered a cajun penne pasta dish. Very flavorful with ample portions. I am, however, suspect of their supplier being GFS, which means I could make the same dish if I wanted to, but because of their friendly service and mouth-watering presentation it's worth paying someone else to! We'll be back to try other dishes for sure! read more
