This is the "4th time" if not the 5th that this particular Red Lobster on Springdale Rd in Cincinnati keeps messing up my order. Over the past 4 years I've had to call them and complain about my order not being complete whenever I either order to pickup or deliver. There's never been a problem when I've dine in. This time (and it will be the last) I didn't call to speak to the manager after I had my order delivered by doordash but resolved the fact that I'll stop ordering at this location and order at the Forest Park location from now on. At least they've never disappointed me when I'm dining, ordering pickup or delivery. The food was good but would have tasted much better had my order for extra lemon and butter been included. The butter spilt in the bag which caused a leak. I received one lemon wedge in two separate small containers and no parmesan. Remind you I've called in the past and reported the same problem to the on duty manager with this same problem in the past. I'm sure they can see the capital letters in the option field but for some reason chose to ignore it. Red Lobster has been my favorite seafood restaurant for more than 20 years and will continue to be my favorite seafood restaurant but not at the Springdale Rd location in Cincinnati. read more

I ordered the sesame soy salmon bowl at Red Lobster, and it was absolutely delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked hot, tender, and glazed with a rich, savory sauce that soaked beautifully into the rice. The crispy toppings added the perfect crunch, and the roasted Brussels sprouts were flavorful and caramelized just right, not soggy at all. Everything on the plate looked fresh, well-seasoned, and very appetizing. Justin was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out just right. My daughter and I were there yesterday, and we were not very impressed with the visit at all. It wasn't very busy, but it started to pick up as we were sitting there. There was literally ONE server there by herself trying to handle all the tables, food orders, drink orders, etc. For her to have been the only one, I just looked at the receipt and her name is Decresha. Not only did she handle it like a champ, but she was also extremely kind and when things were not right, she went out her way to fix them. Because she was by herself, service was somewhat slow. We waited a while for drinks, to get our order taken, etc. But I feel like there were others there that could have been helping her more. At times I felt like management was just looking and basically waited for her to ask for help instead of stepping in or possibly asking her if she needed the help. While I understand there are some things certain staff members are not permitted to do, there were things that could have been done by the staff that was trickling in. For instance, coming to make sure food was good, or to see if anyone needed drink refills or condiments, or to take dishes out the way. There were dishes everywhere. The place definitely needs to be cleaned. The ambiance was just not there. After looking at the POS monitors, the floors, the counters, etc., I didn't feel very comfortable. One good thing is the food was hot. But the scampi had a funny taste. Our drink flights were not good, but we realized the person that made them doesn't normally tend the bar. Dacresha offered to make them over, but we just ordered a glass of wine and left it at that. I was really craving Red Lobster after travelling for two days trying to get home, so this was a disappointment. I probably won't be back for a while, or may try another location. :-( read more

Not impressed almost board line disappointed. My oldest is a huge fan of the biscuits and we make them at least once a week. So thought I would treat family to the original. Get there at 630 and food for 4 does not come out for over an hour. A table of 2 seated after us had there food before us. The biscuits we had to wait a half hour for and then we had to ask for them. The food was so so. Nothing special. Service was ok we had to request refilled table clearing extra bowls to hold shells etc. the inside seating was trying to make it look dark and maybe fancy. I ordered and when I came to pick up my order the manager stated she did not have it. I told her my name she said no, I showed her the order and she said no we don't have it. I said well I ordered it almost an hour ago so I was kinda expecting it to be ready by now. We dined in last night, and first I must say that both the food quality and quantity were superb! However the service was terrible. Upon arrival we waited about 10 minutes to even be acknowledged. 5 staff members were huddled around the bar, eating, drinking, laughing and talking. Finally a young man saw us, went to get a female staff, and she began "training" him on the seating process. Finally once seated, it took our server longer than usual to greet us, bring our drink and refresh drinks during the meal. All this was despite the restaurant essentially being empty! We had to flag our server down to get a box to take home our leftovers, check out, and then after waiting to get a printed receipt, finally learned that it would be at the cashiers in the front. The restaurant was disgusting. We were sat at a dirty table. Waited forever for our drinks. Placed our order and when our salads came out, we didn't have any silverware. I asked our server and she said sure, then disappeared. I asked a manager and after 10 mins finally got it. The food was mediocre compared to what it was 10 years ago, especially for the cost. Our check was delivered, not even asked if we wanted dessert. Not one dirty dish was removed so of course having worked in hospitality for 25 years, I asked if she couldn't pre-bus the table before worrying abt getting a tip. No witty review here, just overall satisfaction with our Fathers Day dinner. The first win was our 50 minute wait turning out to be only 30. Our waitress, Lena, was so nice and funny. In terms of the food, the cheddar bay biscuits are in a league of their own - that's a given. We were disappointed that they did not carry any whole lobsters due to their tank being down for the past month. However, my husband enjoyed the lobster tail, shrimp, and salmon plate. He also couldn't stop raving about the Brussels sprouts. I chose the chicken Caesar salad, which was really good. For dessert, we ordered the vanilla bean cheesecake, and it was worth every calorie. I visited this Red Lobster with a group of 30 people for a Birthday Party. I was hoping we would all have a great time, but it turned into a bit of a nightmare. We were all guided to the "Large Party Room" and took our seats. Our server introduced herself and took our drink orders. Soon, she arrived with our drinks and even made a few extra trips to get the rest. Then, things started to fall apart. She took our appetizer orders and disappeared. When she returned, she let us know she requested help, so our food would come out faster. An hour later, she was unable to get help, we didn't get our appetizers, and my area didn't get refills. 20 more minutes later, we get our appetizers, and one refill. Our server let us know she kept requesting help, but no one came. She went back to check on our food, as we all were visibly upset. About 25 more minutes later, and she began to bring our food in. By this time, our food was cold, and the portions were ridiculously small. Also, I had went so long without a refill, walked to the front and asked a random server for one. The thing which astounded me the most, was this: The restaurant was neither busy when I arrived, nor when I went to ask for a refill. To this day, I still cannot figure out why they could not give us good service or food. We were all both dissatisfied and upset. For the sake of the Birthday Person, we put up with it. The final straw was when the manager asked how everything was, we told him-- and he completely ignored it. He then had the ABSOLUTE NERVE to point out the recommended gratuity/tip (15%, 18%, 20%), and told us to try to circle 18%!! My group of 30 and I were so disgusted by these actions, we made a pact to NEVER have ANY event there...EVER. Please stay far away from this restaurant. This was my first visit to Red Lobster in quite a long time. (No particular reason. We simply don't live close to one.) Overall, our experience was quite good. My husband and I each started with a cup of potato soup and shared an order of Shrimp Potstickers. The soup was good but nothing extraordinary. The potstickers, however, were great! The serving size was perfect (you get three), and they had a nice kick without being too spicy. (Side note: I don't do spicy.) And let's not forget the Red Lobster Cheddar Biscuits. Yum! I even ordered extra to take home. For my entree, I ordered a Create Your Own Shrimp Combo with the fried shrimp and shrimp scampi. The scampi was delicious. The fried shrimp, though, was a little too heavily breaded for my taste. Next time, I'll go for double the scampi. My husband ordered the Grilled Tilapia, which he enjoyed. Our waiter was extremely courteous and friendly -- and on the ball. We never had to ask for a drink refill because he was bringing those out the minute we started running low. The food came out quick as well. Now for the highlight of this review: dessert. My husband and I split the Warm Apple Crostada. WOW! We initially selected this dessert because it fewer calories but it sure didn't taste like it. It was absolutely sinful and delicious, and the perfect size to share. So why 4 stars instead of 5? My husband and I both ordered green beans with our entree and were told a short time later that they were out. This was very disappointing. I don't honestly understand how to run out of something, especially when the restaurant is not overly busy. That disappointment aside, we really enjoyed our experience. the service really needs some work. we ordered drinks as soon as we sat down and waited atleast 15 minutes for them, mind you we were the only people in this section it was just two of us. when she finally brought the drinks we ordered our food like normal, food took a bit of time to come out but that's no problem. after food came out we didn't see our waitress for maybe 40 minutes let alone any other worker, but didn't want to bother by going to the host, so we let it go, but once she finally came back she just handed us the check and said nothing else, when I told her we wanted to order dessert, she said the kitchen had already closed. and it was too late for us to. Well because maybe if you didn't neglect us because we are younger we would've been able to get a brownie and maybe you wouldn't have been able to get a better tip. I tried to place an online order for curbside pickup using a gift card, and the app kept rejecting it with no explanation. I wasted quite a bit of time before going to a desktop computer where I discovered only credit cards can be used to pay for curbside. I finally placed the order by phone, but would have preferred to not have to go in the store to pick it up. I know seafood has gotten expensive, but unless I had had the gift card, I simply could not justify paying current prices. The shrimp/crab rangoon appetizer priced at $10.50 was exactly six normal sized bites of food, and I actually could not taste any shrimp at all. It was tasty but nothing spectacular. The cole slaw had that biting taste that indicated it was not fresh. And I'm pretty sure I received a cup of clam chowder instead of the bowl I paid for. It what I got was a bowl, it was Barbie doll sized. Although it's fast food and not really a comparable restaurant, I'm going to stick with Long John Silvers from now on. With COVID, I don't eat in restaurants now anyway. Their battered shrimp is delicious at less than half the price. read more

We celebrated my mom's birthday yesterday. It was rainy and on a Wednesday, so the restaurant was very quiet. We live closer to the Cincinnati Mills Red Lobster, but it is still a 25 minute drive. However, since we had a large group and they couldn't accommodate us, they suggested we call the one on Colerain and request a private room. The initial experience when we arrived was horrible, mainly due to the host and one of their rude waitress who both acted extremely unprofessional. Once I spoke to the General Manager, Matt, he quickly took over and made our experience exceptional. Adrien, our server did a great job enhancing the level of customer service by going above and beyond by also giving us exceptional service. The food was great! If we didn't have such a bad experience with their host and the rude waitress, I would have rated the restaurant a 5 star. read more

The scampi is different, the service is slow and the atmosphere was somewhat chaotic. I've been a fan on Red Lobster for well over 31 years. The shrimp scampi and King crab legs are the reason I kept coming all these years. They no longer have King Crab Legs and I understand why but when you start messing with the shrimp scampi recipes, I'm out. I'm going to try it one more time because it couldn't have been my taste buds or just bad cooking. I'm giving one star because the beer was cold. The server said they had four on draft however one was out (not sure how but okay). We proceeded to order a appetizer that pretty much came out three seconds before the entrees. We tried to order our child something but of course they were sold out of that. Oh and also they were sold out of any "fried" shrimp but not grilled shrimp, so that explained A LOT. Our bill was $80 and my husband and I SPLIT a meal. How a kids meal is $8 I have no idea. The lobster tail was not able to be cut with a knife bc it was so rubbery. Very interesting how they were on a wait with a lot of tables available. I will not be back to say the least. When I was greeted by the waiter he was very nice, but you could tell that he was profiling me. This was confirmed when he swore that he remembered me, even after I insisted that he did not because I hadn't been in Cincinnati for over a year. As I placed my order( a crab carbonara and side of shrimp scampi), the waiter then expressed to me that the dish was new and that I was the first person to order it. He then told me he had no clue what or how it was....which made me very hesitant to order. Once my food arrived I noticed that my pasta was very dry, so I expressed this to the waiter. I was then brought out small dish of the "carbonara sauce". I decided to have good faith and assumed that they weren't familiar with the sauce portion because it was their first order. Speaking of portions the shrimp scampi is now $6.99 for 6 pieces of shrimp. In addition I was charged 3.99 for the sauce that was supposed to come with the pasta. Yesterday (September 10, 2023) I went to the Red Lobster location in Colerain, Ohio. I was very clear when ordering my food that I have a deathly dairy allergy and that my food needed to be plain and butter/dairy free, and that it cannot have any cross contamination either. I ordered a 7 oz sirloin with a plain baked potato and broccoli all dairy free. The server seemed to have understood and I saw him write stuff down, albeit I don't know what he actually wrote down. When the food came out, I asked him if there was any butter on it just to make sure. He said no. So my family and I began eating. I was hesitant to eat right away so I touched each item on my plate to my skin to see if there was a reaction (I can do this because my allergy is so sensitive and severe). The broccoli made me a little itchy, but the steak didn't so I began eating the steak and waited on the broccoli to see if it was just in my head. However, the broccoli was touching each food item and was all over the plate. I started getting itchy in my face and my throat felt funny. About 10 minutes into me and my family eating, the server came out and said that there was indeed butter on the broccoli and asked if I wanted it remade. But with my allergy, it was too late. The server blamed the kitchen for not listening to him. I take two Benadryl and my family packed up their food quickly to take me to the emergency room. The manager came to our table as we were packing up to leave and said sorry and immediately blamed the server. According to the manager, the server only wrote "no seasoning" when it came to my food. I'm not interested in who's fault it was, I was frustrated that I had to deal with an anaphylactic reaction and spend the rest of the day in the hospital. I was frustrated I was going to have a life threatening reaction because of their incompetence. The manager gave us a few free appetizer coupons and we paid and left the building. I had to use an epipen injector and hurry to the emergency room. I'm frustrated that they didn't take my allergy seriously and that they were too busy trying to pin the blame on someone else. I'm not the kind of person that isn't willing to pay for their food, but I was slightly upset that the only accommodation was a few free appetizer coupons, because we weren't even able to finish eating at the restaurant. We had to hurry out because I was having a life threatening reaction and they were insistent on us paying which was inconvenient because I'm waiting to drive to the emergency room. They weren't prompt, responsive, or caring. By the way, I have had allergic reactions the last few times I've gone to this location but, this was the worst reaction and I didn't even eat the broccoli. It was just because the buttered broccoli touched the food I was eating. I was extremely clear when explaining the extent of my allergy and that it can't even touch anything with dairy. I wasn't expecting to have ANOTHER reaction at this location. This was definitely the final straw. This location is incompetent and not caring or accommodating. read more
