I finally tried the VIRAL Kool-Aid Pineapple... and now I get the hype. You can't leave Mike's Fish & Chicken without ordering one! The pineapple is fresh, juicy, and soaked in Kool-Aid for the perfect sweet, fruity bite. It's one of those things you just have to experience for yourself! While I was there, I also grabbed the Chopped Cheese & Cheese Fries. The Chopped Cheese was packed with flavorful, seasoned beef, melted cheese, crisp toppings, mozzarella sticks & served on a soft toasted roll. Add a side of cheesy fries & you've got yourself a meal that'll definitely hit the spot. If you've been debating whether the viral Kool-Aid Pineapple is worth trying... consider this your sign. They have some good chicken wings! Their wings are covered in seasoning and you can select which sauce you want. I usually get Ranch. Haven't tried anything else but , I've never been disappointed by them. So, I don't think I ever will. read more

The food was fresh and delicious, it came from like 30 mins away. I didn't interact with anyone, but as far as service, I received all of my food. I'm not how the vibe of the store is since I used DoorDash. The cake is amazing. I wish there was a tiny bit more icing. read more

The location of Mike's Fish and Chicken was formerly a Little Caesar's Pizza on Northland Blvd - my first impression of Mike's was it is largely takeout and delivery. The two tables are fairly small - likely to sit and wait for your order- I was surprised to find the menu had some nice combination dinners - I was hoping for fried chicken - but, the chicken fingers were pretty tasty! I also had the two piece fish combo - aside from being a fairly healthy portion of deep fried crunchy goodness - the combo included a drink - sorry Pepsi fans - only Coke products - to finish off my lunch I got a huge piece of strawberry cake - save room for dessert - because you'll want two pieces! Mike's is one of those hidden gems tucked away in an older established neighborhood in Cincinnati - specifically, Forest Park. I'm hoping they will be in our neighborhood for a good, long while!! read more

If you're reading this review go ahead and order some Mike's. It's delicious fried food, cooked when you order it, seasoned thoroughly. Never over priced always delicious. My additional recommendation, get a piece of cake. Yellow cake, German chocolate cake, strawberry cake. The slices are generous and the cake is moist. read more

I ordered fried fish and shrimp and it was soft and soggy! I recommend telling them fry the seafood until well done. In addition, my order was via grub hub and NOT sealed as requested. Proper containers and sealing is very important in today's environment. read more

So when I go out of town, my requirement is that my friends take me to local restaurants. My friend suggested I try this place. It has a very homely look and vibe and the plaza gets a lot of business with a liquor store next door. The chicken fingers were delicious and so was my seasoned turkey burger. I will definitely return. The staff was super nice too! read more

Sorry folks. Gave it a chance. It's beyond bad. We threw it out but we did try a few bites before doing so. I'm really not sure what is going on with this place. The chicken wings really didn't taste like chicken. The fries were under cooked. I'm surprised at the high reviews read more

Ok so this place looks very sketchy when you first see it, but as they say never judge a book by its cover. Everything is prepared to order and is piping hot for you to take home and eat. I've only had the catfish meal every time I come and its soooo good! The prices are good too and you still get a hefty portion. Feel free to Also call ahead to pickup as this place can get very busy in the evening. Definitely check it out! read more

I entered the shop. One guy was cooking. No one else in sight. The guy looked at me and went back to cooking. Several minutes later another guy came out and without any smile or apology for keeping me waiting, took my order. He charged me a dollar more than the advertised price. It took 15 minutes to get a gyro and fries. No personality in the service. The food was fine temperature wise, but no great shakes in quality. It was ok. read more

Great place to get quick food. Food: My favorite thing from this place is their catfish nuggets, with tartar sauce and hot sauce mix together for dipping. I tried their gyros not bad.Their chicken wings are super delicious with barbecue sauce, Buffalo sauce or by themselves with no sauce. And they have this season they put on the food which is really good. Almost like ranch or something. Price: Not an expensive place at all. For lunch they have a lot of lunch specials that include a drink and fries all for 5.99. You definitely get alot of food for a little. Venue: The place is ok. There is a spot to sit inside if you do not feel like leaving. I personally would not sit inside though lol. Just pick up and leave. It's a whole in the wall type place. But let's be honest that's where you get the best foods. All in all I come here alot, I try to come the minute I order so my food is fresh and not soggy especially the fish. So if you're looking for cheap eats, love chicken wings this is the place for you. read more

This has some absolutely delicious food my main go to is the chicken and fries. You get a big meal the chicken is big strips the menu is extensive and I've eat to try something I didn't like great local restaurant read more

Pros...large portions, hot and fresh food, nice folks working there. Cons...the fish uses a cornmeal breading which was not very flavorful and was chewy. We tried the 2pc cod, fries, coleslaw, and hush puppies. Honestly was not impressed with much of the food. Did not care for the cornmeal breading at all. The hush puppies were not great, and the fries were nothing special. Overall 3 stars because the portion size was good, the food was cooked to order, and the folks working were friendly. This is not the place to go if you are looking for traditional battered fish. read more

We went in on a Saturday during lunch. Lunch specials are valid on Saturday and Sunday! $5.99 for a sandwich, fries and a can of soda or bottled water! Great deal. The chicken philly was good. My husband had the fish and fries and like it. We ordered the party wings recently, they are smaller then most but for the price you cannot complain. We definitely will go back. read more

The chicken and Okra are my favorite. The young lady that work the register is excellent at remembering my order each time I come in.

I order from this establishment about twice a week. I absolutely love the catfish. It's always fresh, the taste is out of this world. I usually get the mix and match with the chicken tenders and a side of Mac and cheese. I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered from here. I'd give it 10 stars if I could read more

I had the chicken gyro and bought an Order of wings. The food is amazing. You get a lot for the price. I didn't get to try the dessert but they looked good. Everyone had on a mask and they texted when the order was ready. read more

Easy night time, late night eats could do better with cooking times but good. Offers delivery service which is also great.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Attempted to order from Mikes Chicken and Fish through DoorDash. The Door Dasher called me and stated he had waited too long and can't wait anymore so he's not bringing my order. I called the restaurant and the first guy who I spoke to said my order would be ready in 10 minutes for pick up....mind you this is almost 90 minutes after I ordered. I asked him if they were going to refund the tip I gave the dasher since they took too long. He put another guy on the phone who barely speaks English and he tried to tell me I called the wrong location and they don't have my order. I asked to speak with the first guy again, never got resolution. Had to cancel my order through Door Dash and request a full refund from them. This was an order for dinner for 5 totaling $70. You'd think they'd want to accommodate that. So much for supporting small businesses during the pandemic! read more

Fish was slim and way over cooked. Turned hard. Menu said Coke slaw included and was not in the bag.

Wow, Home Run! This place is in the old Waffle House building. Ordered the Whiting Fish and chips, with a side order of Deep Fried Zucchini. Awesome stuff, and way too close to my house for my own good! No disappointment here. Go For It!! read more

This place is fantastic. I've never had to wait too long to get my food. The fish is always fresh and hot. The service is very good.

The food and prices are very good and reasonable. I only have one complaint and to many it may seem insignificant. Please be aware that the prices reflected on their menu usually end in $.99. They will always round up to the next dollar. For instance, if the menu price reflects $5.99 they will charge you $6.00. Personally, I have refused to pay the extra penny as a matter of principle. I think this is a very unscrupulous business practice. read more
