Absolutely amazing! I don't know where to start. I've been going to Ron since I got my first ever car in High School. Then when that car bit the dust he helped me find someone to actually pay me a couple hundred to recycle the old thing! Then he sold not only me my next car, but two of my sisters bought great cars from him! When I moved to VA I would still try to go to Ron for as much as I could. He was the only person I found that I could actually trust the words coming out of his mouth! Then this last week, after moving to TN and thinking I found a new garage guy, I could still call Ron to help about prices! I wanted to make an appointment for an inspection so I gave them a call based on their great reputation. Within 30 second of being on the phone the man at the shop (the same one from the voicemail) told me they aren't letting people wait because of the "Communist China Virus." Obviously I understand the no-waiting policy, as every other garage and service in the state and country are doing things this way now. What I can't wrap my head around is the a business owner (presumably) would spout a ridiculous, racist lie to a complete stranger within a minute of answering the phone. I can only imagine that the shop staff has not been adhering to social distancing guidelines in their work and personal lives, and would put myself and my family at risk by if I were to do business with them. read more

Ron is honest and straight up. My first experience was an oil change and a tire check. He discovered corrosion on the rim and cleaned it up. His prices are reasonable and he doesn't upsell you. In fact, he tries to save you money if there might be alternatives, e.g. suggested that if the rim was bad we could maybe get a used rim in good condition for much less than new. I like being treated like I am valuable and Ron truly appreciates my business. You will not be disappointed if you give him a try. read more

We like the garage, very clean. We've taken our cars for various reasons and always had good service. However beware of the pro Trump propaganda and anti Democrat posters. I have been doing business with R&R since their first year. The owner Ron has worked with me through some big & small work on my cars (think he has done work on at least 5 different ones over the years), and I keep coming back cause he doesn't rip me off and the work is done well. He works with me as to what needs to be done now and what can be put off to help me with my budget, and he is greatly transparent with costs. I moved out of the area a few years back (greater than 30 minutes away) but I continue to go there even though it is a hassle. I tried one place in my hometown of Emmitsburg who said I needed $3,000+ of work. When I went to R&R they could only confirm about 50% (by cost) of that work which was really required, and only $800 in work which was an immediate need. I was even walked back into the R&R shop area where I was shown there was no leaking from the axles and some other items which did not need the work the previous garage recommended. Also, when I have had scheduling issues on getting my car in there they work with me on that. Very flexible. Just be prepared that Ron is a bit of a character, very outgoing and direct, and know he is honest and loyal to his customers. Can't recommend them enough. They have saved me money & time. read more

This shop let an 18 year old kid take a customer's 600 horsepower GTO for a joy ride, totaled it, and is sticking it to the customer 6 ways to Sunday. R&R's cut rate insurance is refusing to fully reimburse the vehicle owner for car and modifications, and R&R is refusing to do anything on their end to make the owner whole. If you take your vehicle to R&R, you clearly aren't worried as to whether or not you're ever getting it back. read more

Ron has been working on all of my Jeeps since he opened, his shop is the coolest to look at. The shop is also the easiest to deal with, he gives you the good and sometimes bad news on the vehicle straight up and no bullshit. I would recommend this shop for anyone who wants a neighborhood mechanic that is also informative for a better understand of what happens to their car. most importantly that other review about the GTO is complete bullshit!!!! read more

In general they do alright. However, in fixing a squeak in one vehicle, and then prescribing a new battery for what turned out to be (and what any shade tree mechanic would have recognized to be) an alternator failure...... Id say you could do better if you did the work yourself, but as compared to other garages, they are slightly better. Yes, that's right two stars.........the rest of the area garages are one star. So if you're going to risk it, either go here or perhaps Frederick motorsports.....everyone else is a sheister. read more

my wife was in hit and run accident coming off rt 15, the trunk would not close and water would enter the trunk. we have been customers since he was service manager at saturn. my insurance would cover the damage after the deductible was met. we called Ron for an appointment to have a look see. Ron and his crew fixed the problem for 1/3 the deductible. my family swears by this company,its honestly,detail oriented,competitive price. It really doesn't get any better than R&R Garage. Ron was recommended by a family friend after the dealership gave me some outrageous quotes for maintenance that they deemed urgent. Ron took that list and evaluated my car, explaining every single item so I could decide the best course of action for myself, as an informed consumer. No intimidation tactics, extremely fair pricing, and honest. I was never once made to feel stupid or inferior for not knowing about my car; Ron took the time and explained everything. Having been pregnant at the time, this was greatly appreciated as it would have been really easy to scare me into spending more than necessary. Not only were many of the dealer's recommendations unnecessary, some had much more reasonable (and less costly) fixes than the dealer tried to bully me into. I used to dread even regular maintenance because so many mechanics - especially dealership maintenance departments - always try to oversell things and can be very dishonest. Because of Ron, I no longer avoid or dread regular car maintenance. For as long as he is in business (which I hope is a VERY long time), nobody else will be servicing my family's vehicles! read more
