just leaving same review I left on google about the Frederick location because I incurred a net loss of 8k and feel people need to know - Has anyone else had problems with these guys charging drastically upwards of the estimate ? Trying to gauge if it's an honest few mistakes. Dented car and initially got a $1700 estimate, then got a call it was $3000 (after removal of bumper) which I said was too much- and I had to pay several hundred in labor to even get the car. Had more cash months later, got another estimate that was about 3k as well and decided to take it back. Again, got a call it was now $4200 because of problems they discovered?? I told them to fix it because I don't want to be stuck paying a bunch of money again for nothing . At the same time, they've taken the bumper off twice and I was upfront about the issues . Why would they not do a thorough examination the first time? UPDATE- I paid cash for the repair to avoid carfax- surprise, showed up on carfax so I paid 4200k for nothing . They claim they didn't report it but maybe their system did ? Regardless - only two things could've happened - they didn't like my initial review and took revenge or their software alerts carfax even if you pay out of pocket. Do NOT bring your car here. We dropped off our Range Rover Discovery a week ago and the door was damaged, with no other damage. Picked up the car today and the paint had some specs in it, and they said they would wet sand it to get the specs out while I waited. It didn't work. Eric Zamora offered me $50 or $100 discount so he wouldn't have to paint the whole door again. He said the paint had a "Lifetime" guarantee. I said that's fine, I would pay the full amount. Drove the car home and then noticed that the passenger side side view mirror was melted. Literally the paint and plastic was melted.....!!!! So I called them and drove all the way back to the shop and Eric was already gone for the day, but his worker said that they looked at a picture from the front of the car and said they could see a shadow showing that the sideview mirror looked "wavey" Bull crap!!! He said they took the mirror and the door off the front passenger side to do work on the rear passenger side, and that they only put the sideview mirror in the car and that it couldn't have gotten damaged.... I said there is NO WAY that my sideview mirror could get MELTED on the top of it while it was on my car. The plastic and paint are literally melted!!! Car is in great condition except the door that had to be repaired. Now they are saying that the MELTED sideview mirror must have already been like that. No pictures of the sideview mirror damage prior to doing the work. They melted the sideview mirror at the shop. Don't know how or who, but it wasn't melted when I dropped it off....... Every place I have ever been too takes detailed pictures of a car to make sure that this exact thing doesn't happen!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP. BEWARE. Dishonest. Go somewhere else..... read more

I have taken three cars here for about six different issues. Some covered by insurance. Some I covered myself. I have been impressed by their craftsmanship and customer service. The highlight though was a couple of weeks ago when I ran over a snow bank which pulled out the right front of my Lexus's bumper. They "pushed" it back in and charged me nothing. This was Herberth who I thought was fantastic. He did suggest one small and inexpensive replacement part that could become a future issue which I chose to do as I could easily see how it could cause future damage to the car if not replaced. A few years ago I Had an accident that nearly totaled my Ford Edge and was double-digit thousands to repair, about $12-14k??. I get it back and the decorative Ford engine cover was gone, backup camera was not working at all, and I believe a 1 other small complaint too. They were dismissive and abrasive especially for the total amount of money the insurance company paid them to repair my car!! I asked them to even look through the garage for that decorative cover and wouldn't lift a finger. For the backup camera the lens was out of alignment, which obviously happens when your brakes go out and you hit a car at 75mph on the highway (due to g force) but they refused to do anything without "video proof" of before the accident which is laughable... and insurance said it can def happen but no help from Zamoras. I've lived three miles from them since 2007 and taken and I believe three cars there total but never again. That incident just soured me but you might have better luck. read more

DO NOT EVEN WAEST YOUR TIME TO GO TO ZAMORA I drive 2015 lexus and went to zamora to fix exterior paint cause of tree sap damage and lttle dent on door. they repainted all over my car but the hood has hundres craeters and told me those are rock chips and insurance not pay for it. 100s small craters are seriousaly rock chips ? I only wanted to fix exterior paint and dent but zamore create damge around the interior right rear door and interior left rear door. There are fresh scratches on the plastic and sharp fresh cuts on the leather that appear to have been made by tools. I have taken extraordinary care of this car since I have owned it, brand new off the lot. Nobody rides in the rear seats and I have never seen these defects before taking it to Zamora. They refuse to acknowledge fault. read more

Excellent service . I came in in desperate need of bumper repair - I was in town for a short time and had a parking issue that lead to my bumper being displaced . I called and showed up fairly close to closing but they were still willing to help me... and didn't charge me.. I seriously almost cried! Stay away! One time to fix bumper damage. Three times to damages they caused. Including a dent, glue all over the interior and gouge in freshly painted bumper. They did not replace all screws. Mr. Zamora was really curt and raised his voice in the parking lot. What a nightmare! I will say the ladies at the front desk are organized and friendly. read more

My new car got rear-ended in an accident. I took it there for insurance repair because this is geico's Auto Repair Xpress facility. The car was ready the next day. When I go pick up the car, the tip of the rear left bumper reflector was broken and glued back together. I pointed this out on-the-spot. The manager's reply was since his shop guys said they didn't do it, that's not their problem. So now I am left with a repaired bumper that has a broken reflector. BTW, as of right now geico won't take care of this because the glued-back crack indicates the damage didn't take place during the claimed accident. That's geico for you. The quality of the work Zamora's auto body offered was subpar and appeared to be rushed. On initial return of the car (a 2021 with 3500 miles, essentially new) for relatively minor work (1 new front door skin, replacing 2 pieces of trim, paint and blending), there were several runs in the clear-coat and dirt embedded in the clear-coat where they blended the rear door. The weather stripping on the door was not fully re-inserted. The door was not properly aligned. The lower door trim had several paint defects on the edge and was improperly attached to the body. The clips in the door card were reused and not properly inserted. Door edge protective trim was bent on removal. The sill kick plate was also bent for some inexplicable reason. To top it all off, the driving monitor on the car indicated the staff at the repair shop drove the vehicle extremely aggressively when transporting it between their repair shops, indicating a total of 5 harsh acceleration, 4 harsh cornering and 4 harsh braking events in 2 miles of driving. Nick was apologetic and the shop did repair several of the defects noted within one days time, but I will not be returning my car for any additional work. Any shop that is willing to present work like that to a customer and treat a customer's car like this does not deserve my business. Geico should reconsider listing this shop as a recommended repair facility. Edit: door edge trim fell off after 6 days. Lowering to 2 stars. read more

I had a great experience from start to finish here after being referred to Zamora's by at least 7 different people. I dropped my Nissan off here for a simple paint job on the hood, and Olmi was super nice and gave me a discount on the original quote I received. Also, I had some scratches on the side of my car that Olmi was kind enough to offer to buff out for free! I dropped it off on a Thursday morning and it was ready by 3:30pm on Friday, about 2 hours earlier than Olmi originally said! Everyone who works there is super nice. When I got the car back, a few scratches were still there and not buffed out but when I pointed them out to Olmi he was able to take the car to the back for 10 min and fill them in for me! The car freshener & the quick clean of the inside of my car was a great touch! I'm going back to them for everything from now on and recommending to everyone. read more

Came here upon a recommendation from a friend, but unfortunately very unhappy with the results. Had a fender bender with minor damage to the front of my car. Brought my car in on a Monday, they told me my car would be ready by Thursday. Then changed to Friday. Then upon coming to pick up the "finished" product Friday, the bumper was still not attached. Clear as day that it wasn't ready. They needed to order more screws to put it back in place. On the following Monday, they broke my bumper and had to replace it... Now I am waiting a couple more days for the new bumper to come in and get painted. If I had to choose all over again I 100% would've taken my car to a different body shop. My car has been with them for nearly a month. My first estimated pick up date was 10/11 then moved to 10/17 now I have to wait until 10/23 to pick my suv up, which I doubt will even be ready. Everything is backed up. They honestly don't seem to care and are so nonchalant about a lot of things. I'm a very patent person. My car insurance only covers so much of a rental. STAY AWAY.. I hit a deer on 7/05/23. I went through my insurance. I decided on Zamora's in Frederick which was a big mistake. The rental process was easy, but everything went downhill from there. The estimator was HERBERTH GARCIA. Never gave me his card or anything. They told me my car was ready, however when I inspected my car they had silicone between my bumper cover and fender and the top of the bumper cover stuck out beyond the fender. The (what I learned Later is called the sight shield) had missing fasteners. Zamora's told me my car was ready again, they had just removed the visible silicone from the fender but the bumper cover was still sticking out from the fender, put in some more fasteners on the sight shield but still missing some.. I called my insurance company and asked how many times do I have to let this body shop tell me my car is fixed. They said they called the body shop and everything will be correct. I went to pick up my car and to my amazement they aligned the bumper cover with the fender. However they decided to replace the FCA fasteners on the sight shield with some fasteners that they had on hand, there is a big difference!!!!! also they decided to use these fasteners on the fender liners!!! When confronted HERBERTH GARCIA said they were the right fasteners... I had enough, paid my deductable took my car and contacted my insurance. They told me to take my car to another body shop. There was so much wrong and unseen and unrepaired items along with broken items that Zamora's did to my car. read more

We've used Zamora's for repairs three times now. Twice for deer strikes on our black E320. Older black cars can be hard to match paint but they did excellent work. I was just rear-ended in my new red 2018 Honda Accord and their newest location on Mack Ave off English Muffin Way did the work. I have needed a few repairs because of deer strikes and impaired soccer moms. After three seperate repairs I have to say that they are great. Each time they finished the car earlier than they originally promised. The shop is clean and I can appreciate that I wont get a loose screw in my tire when getting repairs there. I had no choice in using this body shop, as they are the only ones Geico uses. I was a little concerned as a few reviews mentioned people leaving the shop with more dents/scratches on their cars than when they arrived. I was pleased with the entire process. A body shop mechanic met me, went over everything he would do, and soon the Geico rep joined us, making sure I had every question answered. The body shop mechanic went around my car and noted every possible scratch and tiny dent. He was far more thorough than a car rental company! The car was ready when they promised, and it looks fantastic. I had an emailed estimate within a couple of hours, and the shop texted and emailed me during the process and when my car was ready. I had two estimates from other body shops in Frederick, and both were hundreds of dollars higher than Zamora. Perhaps that was because I asked for a self-paying estimate. read more

Herberth was awesome. He went over everything with me, provided options and pros and cons. They work very closely with a rental car company so I was able to pick up and drop off a rental at the shop eliminating the need to find someone to chaffeur me around. Then I picked up my car and it was better than I expected. "Zamora's will do you dirty" If you are taking your car for a minor repair or car-wash, I'd say go ahead and use Zamora's. However, if you have any real or questionable damage, I'd go somewhere else. Zamora's did me dirty and they will to you also. After getting my vehicle back this past week, I noticed that my sensors were still coming on at random throughout my drive. To make matters worse my heat was not working. After taking my car back to Zamora's and stating my concerns - they tell me that my heat is a ware and tear item and that it was likely out prior to the collision. After explaining legit concerns I was told that they would not fix my heat. 100 percent, Zamora's will do you dirty. I highly recommend using another facility to repair your vehicle. They did a fantastic job fixing my 2012 Civic after I was rear ended. No swirling or orange peel effect to the paint like I normally get after a repair. WARNING! Please save yourself the hassle and DO NOT go here. I took my low-mileage 2018 Subaru Outback here after it was sideswiped. I've been back four or five times and they still haven't gotten it right. I will not return. I should've gone to a Subaru certified dealer to begin with. They told me they were Subaru certified but believe they're certified in anything but poor results and added damage to your car. The last straw came yesterday when I picked my car up after having to return and return and return and return again. Their craftsmanship is horrible. They replaced a side plate on my window with a running sharp edge and I sliced my finger closing the door. They chipped paint in two areas, did not properly align my fender or doors they replaced/fixed, opened my sunroof for some reason (and failed to close it), opened my center dash console (and failed to close it), did not reset my clock after battery disconnection and on and on. You can imagine my upset when I had to return for a fourth or fifth time yesterday. Andy Zamora met me with a macho, bullying attitude. Then, after this offsetting introduction, tried to give me a tutorial on positivity (he thought my emails were a little too direct on their poor work quality). That's right. Instead of an apology and empathy for my time and monetary expenditure because of their inability to do a good job, that was the introduction. He said he likes to put positivity before craftsmanship. What the heck?! Look, if I wanted a tutorial on positivity I'm not going to go to an auto body shop. I go to an auto body shop to get my car repaired not to meet up with Tony Robbins. My HRV had marks on the outside of both my driver and passenger doors. These marks really stood out against the white paint on the vehicle. I made an estimate appointment at Zamora's in Frederick, MD. Upon arrival, the staff greeted me right away, and they asked Olmi assist me. Olmi was very courteous and professional and willing to help. He looked at the vehicle and said "Let me take it back and see what I can do to buff them out." I thought sure I would have to schedule a repair visit, but Olmi came back in approximately 10 minutes and was able to buff out both sides - the vehicle looks new again! Many places would just schedule a repair and take your money. However, I found Zamora's to be people-oriented. I was in a car accident, and my insurance sent me to this shop to have my car repaired following an accident. I don't feel my car was looked over completely, was still hearing weird noises once I picked it up from the previous repairs. I took my car back to be looked at again, and one of the agents that works for Zamora even stated he heard a noise once he sat in my car. The rep took my car around back to have techs look over what may be causing the noise and stated their techs tightened some things on my car. I went to leave and i could not turn my steering wheel and was making a weird noise. I went back inside and told the rep who I spoke with previously. He stated that my car was okay to drive and was just going to make the weird noise until I got my alignment checked. I proceeded to get back in my car to drive away, and my car jumped, something popped and liquid proceeded to come out of my car. I went back inside to tell the rep I was dealing with the whole time ran outside to see what I was talking about. He got in my car to tried to move it and maybe like 5 guys followed outside to help him. They lifted my hood and either a cloud of smoke or steam came out once they lifted my hood. They all ended up having to push my car into the back. The owner (Andy) came to talk to me at that point, with the claims adjuster and the rep from Zamoras. He explained what he thought may be going on, and proceeded to ask me about the previous work I got done on my car. i told him that my mechanic fixed my alignment and made other repairs in April. He asked me did I want my mechanic to come pick up my car. I was extremely confused, because I went to their shop with a working car, and I was leaving with a non working car??? I proceeded to ask him how do you know its not something your shop just did since they touched my car and my steering wheel was not making weird noises when I got there. He told me that he felt like what happened was something related to previous work I had done. At that point I became livid due to the fact that I felt like he would not take any accountability to what his shop may have done to make the problem worse. He started to argue with me and I told him you need to take the tone out of your voice and speak to me professionally. I said if this is how you treat your customers this is insane. He stated we are prepared to lose you as a customer, and I said correction...You never had me as a customer, my insurance sent me here. I understand that it may not be something that was not related to my accident, it was more of how I felt as I was treated, not valued at all, even though his shop just made $500.00 off of me and didn't give two craps of how I even got home. He also stated if you feel like you are going to hold my shop liable then I can lawyer up because he can lawyer up as well. I have never felt so disrespected by a business or a disgusting human being that calls himself an owner, especially since he does not value customers. My overall distaste just came from my car not being looked over internally, because everyone is more worried about getting paid from insurance, instead of their patrons safety which is clear. I have used this business before and had amazing experiences. I used them again this year after an accident with an animal that damaged the front of my vehicle. Because they are so busy, it took weeks to get an appointment. Once I got an appointment, the repair was done in timely fashion. Unfortunately, after much lack of communication, and numerous calls, I was told they were waiting on the insurance company for supplemental costs. I get that, but, I would never have known what was going on if I had not called them. We survived that and I picked up the car. The car looked good. In the first few days after pick up, my locks began to have issues. First the tailgate, which I took the vehicle back and they reprogrammed, after they looked at me as if I had lost my mind. Then the door locks, which I took back a second time yesterday. After waiting twice for way too long, I have now been told that it is dealer issue and a coincidence. Made me a bit upset.
