After getting into an incident, I had my car towed here and at first everything seemed fine but as my car sat at the shop due delays in parts which I understand was out of their control, I started getting frustrated and lack of transparency became obvious as I kept pushing for a date of when I was going to get my car back. My car was returned to me, without informing me that the window button was not working along with my lcd screen which was not even part of the reason as to why I brought my car into the shop. My TPMS sensors were also not working. In essence, this shop managed to introduced issues that were all electronic related and failed to diagnose them and are now having me deal with insurance to get those issues resolved with the Lexus dealership. They did repair all the physical damage but along the way they don't have qualify people to handle electronic issues so please BEWARE as they are now pushing these issues on to me to handle with insurance and I may be out of thousands due to their incompetence.

Regardless - only two things could've happened - they didn't like my initial review and took revenge or their software alerts carfax even if you pay out of pocket. Eric Zamora offered me $50 or $100 discount so he wouldn't have to paint the whole door again. He said the paint had a "Lifetime" guarantee. I said that's fine, I would pay the full amount. Drove the car home and then noticed that the passenger side side view mirror was melted. Literally the paint and plastic was melted.....!!!! So I called them and drove all the way back to the shop and Eric was already gone for the day, but his worker said that they looked at a picture from the front of the car and said they could see a shadow showing that the sideview mirror looked "wavey" Bull crap!!! He said they took the mirror and the door off the front passenger side to do work on the rear passenger side, and that they only put the sideview mirror in the car and that it couldn't have gotten damaged.... I said there is NO WAY that my sideview mirror could get MELTED on the top of it while it was on my car. The plastic and paint are literally melted!!! Car is in great condition except the door that had to be repaired. Now they are saying that the MELTED sideview mirror must have already been like that. No pictures of the sideview mirror damage prior to doing the work. They melted the sideview mirror at the shop. Don't know how or who, but it wasn't melted when I dropped it off....... Every place I have ever been too takes detailed pictures of a car to make sure that this exact thing doesn't happen!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP. BEWARE. Dishonest. Go somewhere else.....

My insurance recommended Modern Auto Body as their "preferred" shop so I went there for the repairs. Called me when my car was done (which took twice as long as they estimated) and I said Id pick up the next morning. Get there only to find out they weren't sure if a vendor completed a task so they had to call the vendor back out (AC refill) and will take 1-2 hours. meaning I could not take my car. I have my 3 yr old with me so this was inconvenient but ok, took my rental and went shopping to kill time. Come back 2 hours later, take my car home to find MOUSE DROPPING INSIDE MY CAR. My entire console was covered and inside the glove box. This is disgusting! How could they return a car to me with mouse droppings all over? I can understand that living near wooded areas may bring mice however how they handled it is awful. I call them to let them know what I found and receive hesitation about what "they can do for me". I was initially told they can vacuum it out. I said thats not enough. I will not drive my child around in a car with mouse droppings in the ventilation system potentially and what about the damage the mice could have done to the engine? I wanted 3 things, the car vacuumed and sanitized, the ventilation system and engine checked for damage and droppings and new cabin filter. Too much too ask? This is a 6 month old new car worth $60k. I did not trust my car in their care to have it returned with droppings from vermin inside. If you got this far, keep going. The good stuff is below. What happened next is shocking. I took the car back the same day after 2-3 phone calls back and forth, to be met with more hesitation even though they told me to come back. I was told they checked everywhere for my filter and no one has it in stock so they cant do that. They are also waiting for the adjustor to "approve it". I asked approve what? My insurance is to pay for something that happened on the auto body shops property and for a $40 filter? Ridiculous! Tim, the employee, tells me to wait while he takes it to the detailers to clean. 30 mins later or so comes back out to tell me "surprise, David (the owner) ordered a filter and didn't tell me" so we were able to replace that. I was definitely hesitant to believe that bc Tim was initially adamant that there were no filters in stock but David managed to get one delivered in 30 mins? Tim takes me out to show me how they cleaned up the car and "on scouts honor" (bc I asked again) said they replaced the cabin filter and checked the engine and found no further issues. I said ok, cool, but I would like my old filter back. Tim pulled out his phone to show me a picture. I said no, I want my old filter please. He said ok and went back to get it while I waited in my drivers seat. When Tim came back WITH David, empty handed, I knew they lied. David aggressively opens my passenger door and pulls the glove box open while having a massive attitude saying "If you want to go dig through the dumpster you can but we're not" and offered to show me the filter in my car. I asked why he has a massive attitude and raising his voice when I have been super understanding even though it was my third time there today and he starts yelling again. I told him to get out of my car. Hind site, I wish I would have let him rip the filter out but I was not going to let him yell at me. He slammed the door and told Tim he is not allowed to talk to me anymore and they both started to walk away so I got out of my car and yelled across the car to let them know I know they are liars and Tim even said "scouts honor". Tim did turn around when I asked him if he lied to my face and told me he is just the messenger. So to my understanding, David told him to lie. When the repairs were completed I found damage done by the repair company. The weather stripping was bent and replaced though it's not seated correctly. The tinting was damaged, four windows on the left side were also scratched up, driver's side mirror was scratched up-(they've replaced it). It is now 1/21/26 and I still have not had my windows replaced and re-tinted. I have sent several emails and made several calls to Mary McComas with no resolution. I keep getting excuses after excuses as to why my car windows and tinting haven't been done. "The windows are on back order, one has a chip and needs to be reordered". None of the windows should be changed to me because it was their technician that messed them up. I am at a loss as to what to do at this point. I know for a fact it does not take 3 months or more to get window replaced and tinted for a vehicle

Close to three months later the car was returned. The body work was good, the car looked like new. It was identified that the brakes needed to replaced soon, they were already at the metal on metal sound stage, and started grinding the next day. Having the brakes replaced at another repair shop the following day, with that repair shop stating it never should have been released in that condition. Noticing a significant noise, the bearings also needed replacement which should have been noticed since the damage was on that wheel. TL;DR, body work is ok to good, though delayed, car condition should be checked immediately following.
