The price was competitive, and there is a warrantee and 500 mile follow-up service visit also. I will be a repeat customer and I hope they have as much business as they want. My experience with Krietz Auto was horrible from the start. I reached out on a truck , it took 2 months to get this finalized and the truck I originally wanted sold and had to settle for anothe r one. I had to sign for all do prior to getting it transported to me. Upon delivery, the truck was damaged by their transportation company and they did not follow up for anything. I emailed the general manager and also left a voicemail and never heard back. All I got was an automated email from the "general manager " to reach out if I needed anything. Horrible sales experience horrible customer service experience, horrible transportation experience. I reached out for some tire information as I believe 2 tires are to be manufactured defective. The service department was promising as they heard my concern and said they would reach back out but haven't. I have not asked for anything . No deductions for the truck damage , nothing. Ordered a set of American Force wheels and a paint matched Morimoto head/ tail light combination for my vehicle. After placing the order just before thanksgiving of 2024 it was complete radio silence until I began attempting to see what was going on two months later as I had applied, and been approved for, their 12 month 0% financing through Mariner Finance. My concern was that I was informed "somebody" would reach out to me with information to set up and make payments on my account "when I received my items", but the excessive wait time was concerning me that I would be charged at some point. However I was assured my items were ordered and I did not need to worry about any payments as I was not going to "be charged and they are unable to set anything up" until I received my order. Fast forward to February after two or three more times contacting Krietz and being told the same suddenly they had the set of wheels and headlights at the warehouse for pickup. The tail lights "were broken" (unclear as to when or how) and Krietz is in the process of warrantying them. As of today, 5/16/25, the only updates I have gotten on this (when I go out of my way and take time to attempt to get one) are "Morimoto does not know the status." The real kicker to this story is that I had to reapply and be reapproved for my loan I applied and was approved for back in November. After being accepted again I received my paperwork regarding my loan from Mariner and was told I had ample time to set up and begin making payments as I was to be charged for the order on the pickup date of the headlights and wheels (same day I received paper work). Inagine my shock when I receive a call from Mariner THE NEXT DAY saying I am being assessed a late fee. Turns out Krietz had already been paid back in November and had also selected a 3 month deferment on my behalf regarding the start date of the payments which coincided oddly well with them suddenly having items for me to pick up. Mariner has been great to work with through this experience. Lucy at their Frederick branch immediately removed the late fee after we spoke about the series of events leading up to this and removed the 21% interest that was being applied to the account as well after the "late" first payment. The overall lack of communication is one thing, but being jerked around like this while having a potential ticking time bomb attached to your credit if you choose that route as I did is outright unacceptable. Additionally as stated above half a year after initial order I am still missing part of my order with no ETA on delivery. My experience, very similiar to what others have said in their review, the moment that money crosses the table they seem to want to forget you exist. read more

Alright so bought my f150 from them still butt hurt about to two years later they're absolute liars about everything they do... my truck was actually from Canada which come to find out a lot of them are.. I thought it was clean but 100% they spray some stuff on the truck on the underside of it to make it look great but after a couple washes it shows all the rust... biggest mistake I've made buying my first ever truck from them I would seriously do the research on these guys before buying them! These guys were 10/10 until they received my $76,000 wire for my new truck. I bought from out of state and had the vehicle shipped to me. Upon delivery in August 2024, there were some issues with the fender flares. After a few back and forth emails, Marissa assured the new flares would be sent out. Her last email to me on 1/8/25 stated "Flares are getting painted today , I should have them sent out tomorrow". On 1/28 I asked Marissa for tracking since they hadn't shown up yet, no reply.... On 1/31 I asked for her to please reply to my previous email, no reply.... Here we are on 2/5/2025 and no flares, no responses to my multiple attempts to contact her (Or anyone else). Tires had soap lubricant all over, inflated to different tire pressures. stock TPMS sensors not working right yet old 35" tires read 40psi on all 4. Tires came with yellow/red dot which they didn't even know what that should be used for balancing. all 4 tires have excessive weights for balancing and new rims are very see thru. 1 rim has 3 "sheets" stacked of 1/4oz weights. Also, tech installing led removed oil dipstick and left on cowl with 1 ft long screw driver. they will not rebalance even the 2 worst wheels with weights and look at TPMS sensors read more

They couldn't diagnosis the problem, gave recommendations based on mileage even though I had some of those recommendations recently completed and charged for an inspection. Inspection of what? I always drove past this place and like a kid in a toy store I did a lot of "I want! I want!" comments (to myself, mostly). I mean, what guy wouldn't want one of the Hellcats or Corvettes they have sitting out front? Perhaps one day... I did, however, buy a new Ford F-150 from them. Price wise, I don't think they're the cheapest place to buy a car, but I think you have to look at everything these days when buying a vehicle. Plus, with resources like True Car, it's pretty easy to see if you're getting hosed or not. I negotiated with them and they came down to right around where I wanted to be for total cost out of the door. What really sold me on Krietz was their family culture at their office. A lot of their employees have been there a long time and that says something about the business and the leadership. I also really liked that it was a full-service spot too that does custom work and routine maintenance. The service department has been honest and communicative about options, etc. For example, my check engine light came on a month ago and I took it in. They diagnosed the issue as a problem with the injectors and they knew it was something that would be covered under warranty, so they let me know they were taking care of it. Lastly, their customer waiting area is very comfortable and they're just a few min walk from Frederick Coffee Co, Glory Doughnuts, Pistarro's, or Family Meal. If you're in the market for a new car, truck, some custom work, or just looking for an oil change/brake job shop, I would definitely recommend Krietz. read more

Receive text at 1:59pm telling me someone else was buying the vehicle I drove 110 miles to buy. My family arrived at 2:18pm to Krietz Auto, walked-in and was told "sorry, it just sold." No alternative solution. No effort to correct this mistake. I asked to speak with Mr. Charlie, since I met him on a previous visit, but they said he hasn't there. I find it hard to believe that Mr. Charlie would allow this to happen to one of his client, at his business. Unbelievable. Shameful. Still in shock of what just happened. Laura is extremely difficult to deal with. brought my truck in for a lift kit install. truck was given back to be with loose bolts, contacted laura when Marrisa became non responsive ...found out later she went on vacation and never bothered letting me know or having someone else reach out. Laura said all they could do is give the truck a re inspection.. i drop the truck off a few days later and when going to pick it up, they said it was ready. arrived a krietz to see my truck covered in muck. months later, found out they installed the BDS plate on my cross member upside down after BDS posted a picture of my truck they reached out to let me know. contacted Laura yet again, only for her to offer another re inspection when clearly it wasn't inspected the first time! or at all for the matter. will not be returning here for any service or reason. my experience with this company has been horrible from the start. read more

I came into the dealership to look at a 2015 Cadillac Escalade ESV. Prior to deciding to move forward with an application, I wanted to test drive the vehicle. Two staff members said I could do the test drive. While the salesman was placing the dealer tags on the vehicle, the finance lady came running out of the dealership to inform me that I would need an approval first or else I was not permitted to do the test drive. She actually SAID that if I chose a lesser priced vehicle then she could allow me to test drive it, and that this vehicle has an exclusive buyer market!!!! I went to Cadillac today, test drove a brand new 2017 Cadillac Escalade ESV platinum. I didn't need to complete an application or get an approval prior to knowing if I even wanted to purchase the car. They were able to get my deal done. Krietz staff are profiling people that walk through their doors, allowing test drives, and providing assistance based on what they determine to be one's socioeconomic status. read more

I specifically ask him to double check the car for me & let me know about any blemishes since I'm almost 6 hours away in Ohio. He calls me back and tells me its in EXCELLENT shape, that he see's zero Imperfections. Ok I agree on a price with him and text him one more time about the condition of the car before I leave (I have the text if anyone wants to see it) his response is "excellent condition" well I make the trip and the car is FAR from excellent. About 7 rock chips, two gouges on two wheels when someone removed wheel weights, paint cracking around the window sills, blemishes on rear passenger side carbon fiber molding. The best part is in the video of the car, I think I see the blemish on the carbon and specifically ask him about that, because I wasn't sure if it was just how the light was hitting it & he says no its nothing there. read more

1 star is way too much for Krietz Auto. After 2 weeks of negotiating with several sales people and receiving my first purchase agreement to buy a truck, I called the sales staff and informed them that the purchase agreement was lower than we had originally discussed and told them that the delivery fees weren't included. I was trying to do the right thing by them. They said they'd send a corrected agreement. Then I was told they had mis-figured the delivery cost by quite a bit and was wanting to charge way more. I said that was not what we negotiated, that is when the Sales manager Westin says they are waiting on someone else's purchase agreement to come in and asked if I wanted a different truck. Westin says I can still have the truck if I give them 1000$ to retain the truck. If I had known about this fee it would've been taken care of. I had my bank just waiting for the purchase agreement and the process would've been completed. These people sent out multiple purchase agreements for the same truck. Not to mention I had talked to about six different reps from this company and not one mentioned having to pay 1000$ for a retainer. Disclaimer: buying my car from here was painless and a very simple buying process. Everyone was extremely useful and friendly, and the price was good. The car came with a six month, 6,000 mile warranty with free oil changes the lifetime of the car. I go in for one of my oil changes, I honestly believe my first oil change, and mention that my window had stopped working. They claimed it was frozen. And it took three hours for the oil change. Now, after warranty my window doesn't work all together, and can't be fixed because it's not under warranty. WHEN I TOOK IT IN THERE, WITH THAT SAME COMPLAINT, UNDER WARRANTY. As a college student, my funds are limited and makes going and getting my window fixed kind of hard amongst my other bills. Absolutely disgusted with how this issue was treated. My parents were going to get my sister a car from here as well until this happen. I would much rather pay for my oil changes and would suggest people to take their business elsewhere. read more

I bought my truck from Krietz about 4 years ago. I did my research prior when I was ready to buy my first car and they had great reviews. Family operated and down to earth crew. I went in this past Saturday. They had the proper guidelines for COVId-19 and yet they made it feel normal getting my routine oil change. They let me use a loaner car as I had appointments elsewhere and when they were done with my car, didn't hound me to get back to return the car and get back to the shop. This is by the far the best off road shop, if not best local mechanic that I have been to. I have had them work on my truck a few times now, at least 6 times. Never had an issue, and customer service here is outstanding. They know that I am a car and truck guy by heart, they don't try to fool you with sales tactics or sneaky recommended service. If something is not right with your vehicle, they are going to show you and you can make a decision from there with no pressure. I end up usually spending more money in the long run because they know what they are doing and I have done all the preventative maintenance on my vehicle due to their advice. They even hooked me up with some free fender well shaving even though that costs them extra time when I was getting my truck lifted with a 1 inch leveling kit. I just bought a car from this dealership who has been recommended so highly by other dealers that I had to check it out. They had two cars that was priced just right that I wanted to take a look. Arrived around 2pm on a weekday and it was busy. No one came out but I liked that since I don't have anybody tailing me while I am looking around. I went in and immediately greeted by Lisa. She was just wonderful and she pulled over both cars for us. Test drove those two cars and told Lisa I need some time to think about it. She did not pressure me at all. I left and ate something. Finally came back and bought one. So here is what happened after I bought the car. Came home and took the car to a mechanic. He said it was in a great condition. It had a new brakes, rotors, tires, brake pads. I don't know whether they fix the car this way, but they did a great job. Then...I found out we were missing a head rest. Called Lis and she said she will look into it. Annie from Service called me after few days. She said it was ordered and it is headed directly to my place. Who does that??? I think they just got a customer for life. Here is my advice since this is still a dealership. - Go with Lisa. She is good and she really takes care of her customers. No pressure. she only works weekdays. - Test drive and possibly take someone who knows about the car because most these cars are bought from an auction. Out of those two cars we looked, one looked ok but was not serviced regularly in my opinion. - Do not take too much of your time. Because they priced competitively and will sell pretty quickly, but do your study before coming. Prepare to purchase. I mean bring your papers and $$. THEY DON'T HOLD THE CAR, EVEN IF THEY SAY THEY WILL. - call ahead because some cars will not be there even though it is listed on the website. - Finally, once purchased take it to a mechanic and check it out thoroughly. Replace any fluids. Here is my advice to the dealership. - STOP using those hideous touch-up paints. Try to find one that matches because I got few of those hideous white spots all over my car. read more

I drove over an hour and half in traffic last night to look at an '07 F150 they had for sale. After getting there, I was handed the keys and told "see you when you get back". Luckily I found some imperfections (broken plastic on the back door) that I went in and told them about before I drove off on my test drive. Didn't need to get tagged with something I didn't do since a walk around wasn't conducted by the saleswoman. Anyway, the truck was great but when we pulled the CarFax on it they showed a prior accident. So I walk back in the dealership to speak with Lisa, asked her to come outside to answer some questions about it. Didn't happen; she was more pressed on dealing with other things in the office than trying to have me purchase the truck. So I just got my cars oil change tires rotated and balanced and an alignment I went off of the reviews from the internet picking this place. Let's start off if you need your car back immediately don't go here it's not happening. I didn't care I took out the day to do this and didn't have anything to do and had a ride so I didn't care about having it back fast but everyone else on yelp complained about that and there right I took my car in at 9am and got it back around 3:30pm so expect it to take the whole day. And don't take your car here for an oil change or basics stuff that you can do on your own this place is extremely expensive I have paid less at every other place I have gone to in my life time but I needed it done before I went on a long road trip. Besides that I really don't see that it was exceptional or anything I have gone to better places before that really do the most for your money. I dropped my car off at 9AM, they asked what time I needed it back, I said 11AM, and then I got my car at 12:30PM! 3.5 HOURS and all they did was an oil change and tire rotation! When I asked at 12 what was taking so long, Seth, the service manager, said they ordered my oil filter at 11:10AM and it should have been here by now. I bought a GMC Denali at Krietz Auto in March 2015. I was looking for an SUV online and expanded my search to 60 miles in and around the Washington DC metro area. Krietz had the best selection of used SUVs all over Northern Virginia and Maryland. Often times when you find a price under blue book value online, you are not able to haggle with them. They typically put their best price online (higher on the sticker) to attract people to the dealership. This was not the case for me. I was able to reluctantly get them down around 7%-8% from the online price. This made the vehicle well under blue book and I felt like I got a real steal on my vehicle. Krietz really has a lot to offer. The lady that sold me the vehicle was super helpful and couldn't have been more friendly. One of the greatest things about Krietz is they give free oil changes for life when you buy a vehicle there. Although I live in Rockville, I do have clients in Frederick, so I work it into my schedule to get by when I am in the area. They also offer a 6,000 mile/6 month warranty for free when you purchase a vehicle from them, whichever comes first. There are also extended warranties available for purchase. The only negatives would be that when I have called to schedule an appointment for an oil change, there have been waits up to 5 days. Sometimes that's not as convenient as just paying for one on your own. Also, I did have a problem with my belt squealing which I brought back to be fixed. By the next day the problem was back and I have to schedule another appointment, go back up to Fredrick, and have them fix it correctly. But, sometimes those things happen. I will give them that one. Everything is so fine tuned here, you really can't ask for a better experience. I did the chat option via the website and Cassie was very quick to respond and helpful in answering my questions. She was able to send me the online application to fill out before coming in. We arrived and Wes was able to immediately grab the keys. There was a Suburban we loved but he told us of another option that had a few more features, and we went to get that one! We had our 2 kids with us and wanted to sign quickly, he pulled out the stop watch and we got to work! Our kids got to play in the play area, which was genius.
