(Part 1 of 2) DO NOT EVER GO TO BRADDOCK MOTORS. Let me say it again, DO NOT E.V.E.R GO TO BRADDOCK MOTORS. If I could give this place a negative amount of stars I would. This place came highly recommended from a friend of mine who knew I was going through some rough times financially and they offer really low down payments. When I first got there I dealt with John Press, who was great. He wasn't pushy, was very kind and understanding of my situation and even made a bunch of accommodations to make sure I could get off the lot with a car that I needed. Before leaving the lot I, of course, made sure to ask John if there were any issues or concerns with the car that I should be aware of. He assured me there absolutely were not. And that was where the lies began. The very first day I took the car home, a light on the dashboard indicating low tire pressure came on. I took it back so that it could be fixed/reset and thought the issue was solved but, alas, the same light came on two days later. When I brought it back a second time to get the light taken care of, I also spoke to them about the poor gas mileage I had discovered over the course of a week. Driving only twelve miles a day, I had to fill the ENTIRE tank up three times in one week. Jimmy (the mechanic) insisted all of these problems had to be caused by faultiness in the "dash sensor battery" and that both issues - the reoccurring tire pressure light and the poor gas mileage - had to be false readings and that everything would be fine from there on out. Ha ha. When I went back a THIRD time, it was because the car COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. WITHOUT WARNING. To this, Jimmy said there must be a "loose screw", allegedly fixed whatever that was, and assured there would be no more trouble... Understandably, by this point, I was a little dubious so I took it to Auto Zone to have the battery tested and other diagnostics run. They informed me that the battery was basically a dud. Aaaand then, a few days later, the car shut itself off on the highway. A G A I N. This time, I had no desire to hear excuses. I went back to Braddock Motors and demanded that they replace the battery - on the car that I was PROMISED had "no issues". With a healthy dose of attitude, but no remorse, Jimmy did replace the battery...WITH ANOTHER SHITTY, DEAD BATTERY. When I returned with this news, that same day, Jimmy took the car to a third party garage and got the battery charged - which would have been a fine solution except for the fact that he tried to gaslight me into believing there had never been a battery problem in the first place. When I left the lot this time, I was assured the "new" battery would solve all my past and future problems. Needless to say? Yeah, it did not. Over the course of two and a half weeks, still traveling only twelve miles a day, I had to fill the car up NINE TIMES. So, with no other options, I brought it back to Braddock Motors a FIFTH time. This time, I dealt with Rodney, the manager. He offered to drive the car himself to assess the mileage and, upon returning, he claimed to have driven seven miles to test it, but at least according to the odometer (which I had been keeping very close track of), he had barely traveled a distance of ONE mile. Whether that's the fault of a broken odometer or more lies, I'm not sure. Either way? A problem. Rodney suggested that I start taking pictures of the odometer so that I can keep a document of how many miles I can travel before needing to refill the tank. He said that if I came back with more issues that they could not solve, he would personally take it upon himself to make sure I got a new car. Additionally, he said he would give me his card (but never did) and offered two free full tanks of gas for my troubles. Sidenote: when I discussed my hardships with my father, he also called the dealership to assess the situation for himself and Rodney told him that he had already given me his card for two tanks of gas. He had not. But I digress! Fast forwarding to now, I brought the car back again with picture proof of the crappy gas mileage and, upon showing Rodney and Jimmy this, they acted as though they finally understood the problem. They decided to send it back to the manufacturer because the problem "must be" the "electrical cluster". I left my car with them to be sent out and was given a loaner, in the meantime. By this point, I wasn't expecting any kind of luxury but what I was given to drive until I get my car back from the manufacturer in the next two days was utterly ridiculous. My livelihood depends on transportation, though, so I had no choice but to accept something that barely resembled a vehicle. The loaner car's paint is chipping off everywhere, the tires are rusty, the console is STICKY (like, what????), and the entire back of the car is covered in SPIDER WEBS. read more

(Part 2 of 2) Tonight, I made a joke to my coworkers about the car being filled with spiders. Smashcut to my break, on the way to pick up my brother...guess what the fuck was up. SPIDERS WERE FUCKING UP. AND DOWN. AND POURING OUT OF THE VENTS. There was a BROWN RECLUSE chilling on the driver's side window, waiting to murder me??? I don't know, I couldn't ask because I speak spider about as well as I speak Used Car Dealership, which is to say not at all since not a single one of the issues I have brought to Braddock Motors has come to any kind of resolution. In fact, more problems have been created. Humor aside, I have picture proof of this happening, and do you know how dangerous is it to be driving a car that you're uncomfortable in? I one could've gotten BIT BY A BROWN RECLUSE and got sick, or I could have been in a car accident. When I relayed all of this to Mike Circo the dealership owner, I got no apology, no remorse what so ever just a "be grateful we even gave you a loaner car." To wrap all of this up, I got my car back from the KIA dealership finally and the mileage was worse than before. I was promised by Rodney, that if my car was still having the same problem he would personally put me in a new car because "they don't do bad business" (HA!) Now I knew his word wasn't worth shit, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt which was a mistake. Because then he tried to blame the KIA dealership for not resetting something. So to humor him, I went through the whole she-bang again with the KIA guy, having them assess it, to which mind you, they said they have only seen this problem twice with KIA Rio's and that the cars were virtually undriveable after awhile. (Of course Rodney didn't care about this tidbit of information because he was just trying to keep money in his pocket.) But again, I did this to humor him at this point. The KIA guy gave me a task to find out how many MPG I'm getting, because I should be getting 28-30mpg. (I did this little project and I'm only getting 17mpg HIGHWAY.) I told him that If my car is not fixed when I left that lot either he was sticking to his word, or lawyers are going to be getting involved. Annnnnnd He wants to act like he never said he was going to give me a new car now, so we all know where this story is going to evolve. DO NOT EVER AND I MEAN EVER GO TO BRADDOCK MOTORS. Every single one of them are rude, disgusting, money hungry rats. (Except for one of the receptionist up front, Kathy I think. I think she knows whats going on there and that's why she tries to be the saving grace- if you're reading this Kathy let me tell you, you can do much better.) Now, I can't wait for Mike Circo to comment on my review and tell me how wrong I am and how they're a great business and everything I'm saying is not true like he does on all the other bad reviews. Attention all potential customers of Braddock Motors, I don't typically do this, but I feel I need to express my extreme disappointment with a recent interaction there. In late October 2015, we purchased a vehicle from them. This vehicle was a 2003 Dodge pickup. We were pleased with the salesperson and the buying experience overall. This truck was a second family vehicle, purchased so that our son would have a vehicle for those days he wasn't picked up by his boss for work, and so that we had a 4x4 to use in inclement weather. Mind you, the vehicle spent more time parked in the driveway than being driven. Here is where things turn bad. A few weeks ago, the engine abruptly began to shake and smoke profusely. We have AAA, so we called for a tow to the closest AAA affiliated garage. We were soon told by that garage that the diagnosis was "major internal failure". When started, the engine pushed over half a quart of oil out through the exhaust in less than 30 seconds. The recommended repair was to replace the engine completely. In the spirit of full disclosure, we did not buy an extended warranty with the vehicle. That said, this truck was owned less than 4 months, and we had driven it a grand total of 2,320 miles. It hadn't even been driven enough to be due for an oil change. Let that sink in for a moment.... I immediately called our salesman, and explained the situation. I fully expected a reputable business to step up and take care of this issue. What I got instead was more frustration. I could not speak with the owner, as he was out of the area, and would not return my call. They hid behind the fact I did not have a warranty. I understand warranties, and I also understand the ethical and right thing to do. I am challenged on a daily basis with customer issues where I have the legal foothold if push came to shove. Sometimes you have to take a deep breath and do what is right, and what elevates your reputation and creates a return customer. A little history; between my wife's parents and us, there have been no less than 5 vehicles purchased from Braddock Motors. This is the second that I have purchased myself in the last 2 years or so. So, in conclusion, I would just say " buyer beware". My recent experience, and the fact that the ownership/management refused to back their product in this circumstance, has lost them a customer for life. I will not line the owners' pockets with another penny of my hard earned money. I will now steer anyone I can from their doors, in hopes they would give their money to a dealer who honors fair business, stands behind their products, and fosters true relationships with their clientele. I recently purchased my second vehicle from Braddock Motors and am very happy with everything. My first car bought there was a 2004 PT Cruiser Limited, and was purchased in 2009. I was the second owner. I still have the car almost eight years later and have had no real issues. I have used the in-house mechanic for oil changes and minor check-ups and have always been pleased with their service. My latest purchase is a 2007 Dodge Nitro and it's beautiful! I am the third owner. The salesman, John Press, took down my wish list and when a vehicle came in he thought I would be interested in, he called me. The prices at Braddock Motors are excellent and although the staff is friendly and attentive they do not hound you with emails or phone calls. There is no pressure. I must tell you what a Big help Braddock Motors has been to me. I did not purchase a vehicle from them but they helped me straighten out a problem created by a local dealership in town which closed and never processed my title and tags. Rodney (Smiley) and Mike helped get me get a new title somehow and I was able to get legal tags for my Traverse. These guys didn't have to help me but spent several hours with me going over all possible solutions! Had purchased a car over 2 years ago have enjoyed the car with no problems. I had to file bk on the vehicle and could not payments for over a year. I started making payments after a few months ago after I got out of the BK and Dusti called from the office saying she would recontract me to avoid any late fees and not repo the vehicle. A few weeks ago I purchased a Jeep Wrangler and had the best experience in buying a car. No one likes going to buy a car but everyone at the store was very helpful. I worked with Rodney and both owners on the deal. They truly spent a lot of time making sure it was the vehicle I wanted and a payment I could afford. Credit was not an issue for me and I was very surprised when they had a bank with an interest rate under 3% for my loan. The car has been great with no mechanical issues at all.
