I've used Top Gun on two separate occasions. the first, my car was involved in an accident and the needed to be repainted. the paint quality and application was so poor that the paint bubbled and had to be repainted two more times. Their attention to detail and customer service was also not as to be expected. Recently my car was involved in another collision that was the fault of the other driver. To get the process started for a rental car before liability was assigned, Geico my insurance company insisted I started the claim with them and can be transferred. So I brought my car to the recommended shop and they started the assessment process. Without my knowledge they completely dismantled my car and told me my car was totaled. I drove home 1.5 hours from the accident - no alarms, damage to the tires, etc. Just front end damage. When liability was placed on the other driver, I decided to get my car and get a second opinion and take it to another shop. They threatened that if it was anything but totaled, it was insurance fraud, did not put my car back together to be sent to the other shop, and when a tow truck came to get it, it was insurance fraud parts and the entire front bumper was missing. Needless to say, the other shop fixed it, State Fark paid for the damages, and I will NEVER take my car to Top Gyn Collision again. They are overpriced, work is shotty and I just don't trust them. read more

Incredibly disappointed by work performed at Top Gun. I chose this shop as it was one of Geico's preferred shop (Xpress) I usually look at the reviews and make a decision based on an overall picture but man was I wrong with this shop. After getting into an incident, I had my car towed here and at first everything seemed fine but as my car sat at the shop due delays in parts which I understand was out of their control, I started getting frustrated and lack of transparency became obvious as I kept pushing for a date of when I was going to get my car back. My car was returned to me, without informing me that the window button was not working along with my lcd screen which was not even part of the reason as to why I brought my car into the shop. My TPMS sensors were also not working. In essence, this shop managed to introduced issues that were all electronic related and failed to diagnose them and are now having me deal with insurance to get those issues resolved with the Lexus dealership. They did repair all the physical damage but along the way they don't have qualify people to handle electronic issues so please BEWARE as they are now pushing these issues on to me to handle with insurance and I may be out of thousands due to their incompetence. read more

Took my car to them to get looked at and to get an estimate for the damage done to the undercarriage. Ended up paying for other work to be done on top of it, but when I got the car back they had poorly put a new bumper on and didn't fix the original issue. They initially told me it would cost $100 to repair and then somehow it turned to $3-4k. The mechanic Jordan hid in the garage and refused to speak to my fiancé when he wanted to ask him questions about the repair and was forced to go through the receptionist, who although sweet, knows nothing about cars and isn't qualified to answer those kind of questions. The receptionist is literally the only reason this auto shop is getting any stars from me. read more

They billed me for service that was not performed. When I discovered this, they quickly admitted the work was not performed. However, they indicated that "Corporate" would have to refund the money. Weeks later, I have received no refund and not heard a word from their parent company, CollisionRight. I feel they took advantage and probably hoped I would not find out. I had tried to contact several and no one would call back. The manager offered to take a look and provided me the name of a company who serviced my area. The manager called the guy on my behalf to ensure we connected. The manager did not have to do any of this. I truly appreciate the help and connection. read more

Not sure where to begin here because the experience from the start was problematic. My standard silver 2015 Toyota Camry was parked, got hit and had a decent size scratch. Didn't think much of it did the insurance claim process and this place was the "preferred vendor" First red flag- I took the car in for an evaluation... they said I had to leave the car there for SEVERAL DAYS... for a scratch. No mam I said never mind they called me back and were like no no we can take quick pictures... it took less than 5 minutes. After they claimed that filling and painting the scratch would take up to three weeks... again I said no thank you I'll take it elsewhere and they called back and said no no we can do it sooner. They lied I dropped my car off for a paint scratch the 18th of July and did not get it back until the 2nd of August. No special parts, no custom color. The only reason I even took the car there and agreed to take it back was because I'd already started the process with insurance. They didn't even replace the mirror cap someone had knocked off. My friend also had her car "repaired" there and the back door no longer closes correctly. They kept saying parts take a long time ... no parts were ever ordered. Using Covid as an excuse for lying and poor customers service has gotten really old. The other collision shop told me one week would be no problem. I would have had a reassessment done there had I known they would take so long for a paint scratch. The worst part is multiple phone calls they said they'd call me back with updates and never did. Several classes and a missed business trip later and I have to say I wouldn't recommend this place. Take your car elsewhere. After all of that they never even fixed the mirror cap. read more

They always make me feel like family, going out of their way to make things easy for me. I am a senior citizen with chronic pain & mobility problems. They actually sent someone to my home to take my car in to be serviced. They keep in contact with my insurance company, Liberty Mutual, & Enterprise car rental. They make me feel safe--my trust in them is beyond anything I've ever experienced before. Prices are fair and they are totally honest, never forcing unnecessary jobs to pad the cost. State Farm has them as one of their repair services. Being new to the Frederick area, I did my research and found them to be what I was looking for. They also offer on-site car rental service (pre-arranged). So, when I dropped of my vehicle, I was able to get the rental right then and there. Same with the drop off too. Bravo! I own a 2019 Nissan versa and I had a fender bender in June I search for a collision that specialized in Nissan it took them 2 1/2 months to complete my car it was excuses on top of excuses from parts being on back order to the person that was working on my car quit which delayed the process even more. After receiving my car the damage that was done from my accident was fix I gave them my vehicle with just a collision damage I got my vehicle back with my glove compartment broken, I have a piece at the bottom of my car hanging and dragging, also my rug in the back seat is pulled up and ripped. I called Top Gun about my findings and they claim it wasn't them and that the only problem they will fix is my bottom panal not a place to bring your car my car was fairly new and I take very good care of my car so I know that I didn't have these issues and Top Gun claims it wasn't them. Attempted to get some body work done on a vehicle. Full disclosure up front, this review/rating is based on their customer service and repeated unwillingness to give me an estimate or service my vehicle, not on the work done. Submitted pictures and information via email as they had suggested. Received an email back from Matt within 90 minutes requesting more info/pictures. The information was gathered and sent to them within 15 minutes. And I never heard from Top Gun again.... Twice I inquired if they had received my information, and I never heard anything from them. I can only surmise that my repair job was, in their estimation, too small for them to waste their time with. From the front desk service giving the estimate, to the results, everything was perfect. I had a deep scratch from a garage door incident (self inflicted) on the rear hatch of my Outback. It was expensive, but bodywork is. I got two other quotes and they were all within a few dollars of each other. I added on a full detail ($150) and the car was spotless. You'd have never known there was a huge gash on the hatch. They were done a full day faster then quoted. The office is across the street from the actual workshop. Amazing Job they did! Staff was so nice and helpful. My car had a big scratch at the front and some small ones under the big one.We went to Younger Nissan they said they gonna take 2 days and 500 dollars to repair it.But Top Gun Staff (I was too exciting to asking his name) said we don't need that be repaired for these small scratches.He rubbed the small ones away in 1 second,then painted some sliver car paint on the big one within 5 seconds.AND DONE. Went to Top Gun today{7-24-17} to talk to them about undercoating my new Ford truck. Arrived at about 10:20 AM. Receptionist very polite, said there were two people in front of me. I said I just wanted to be sure their phone price was the same as their "look at it" price. They had one appraiser working. Remember, there were two people in front of me. I sat and watched him chat with every Top Gun worker that passed by, one or two salesmen that came to solicit business, and spend time at his desk, which probably was necessary. At 11:10 I had pretty much had it when the receptionist said " Oh, you wanted info about undercoating, you needed to make some noise. ENOUGH Left at 11:20! I will not be going back. read more
