I went and got my car washed today because I needed this oil splash off my car, plus it was due for its monthly cleaning. I didn't think to get out and inspect my car this time because I intentionally purchased the package where they had to apply a protect and shine on the car. They wipe the whole car down before doing that, so they'll catch anything the car wash didn't, right?!?! Nope, the apparently "polished" right over it. My new car wash place. Our car had been sitting at a dealer, waiting on an air bag replacement for 2 months. When I got it back, it was musty and dusty (it's an old car). I usually go to Love My Car in Germantown, but they always take forever when I want a super clean (inside and out) and they charge $10 more for SUVs (even small ones), SO I found this car wash via Yelp and decided to give it a try. It was fantastic. I paid $40 for a premium wash/clean, which included a very thorough (but not detailing) clean of my car inside and out, plus air freshener (if you want). They had about 6-7 people working on it and it was done in about 20 minutes. The car looks great, the staff was efficient and the price was less then I would pay down south. I'll be back with our other car soon. read more

If you're in the Frederick area (specifically route 40) then don't waste your time at other car washes, go directly to Shell's Drive Through Car Wash! They do an amazing job and are fairly priced. I took my car soon after the Snow Storm so I needed a good car wash to take off the salt residue. They wash the car with brushes before it goes through the drive-through, so they get all the spots that are usually missed in the drive-through. I then had the car hand dried and vacuumed. I left with a squeaky clean and pleasant smelling car :) I recommend due to the customer service and fair pricing. read more

First let me say that these guys do a great job. It's a combination automat and hand clean. They always do a great job and are polite and thorough. It's reflective of the management and training. My car was fantastically clean. Spotless. I witnessed a lady today being a total pain in the a$$. Clearly taking up way to much of the staffs time for what she paid for. She was still in the bay while three or four cars came and went. It was absurd. The guys cleaned and did everything she asked. This is an example of a class act. Keep it up. read more

Do not waste your money on this place. Attendant suggested to upgrade to $15 wash because I bought the basic $11 wash. I was broke and couldn't afford $4 more. Told him maybe next time. I've never been to a car wash that only water was sprayed and no soap at all. I will never ever come here to get my car washed again and hope you won't either. read more

Went here yesterday to get a wash and opted for the Platinum wash which includes a tunnel wash, and interior and exterior cleaning by the crew. With all the rave reviews and a hefty price tag ($42 plus tip), I was expecting to be wowed. Unfortunately, I wasn't very impressed. A lot of time was spent on my car, so I assumed they were really doing a thorough job. While it certainly was a heck of a lot cleaner than when I brought it in, many details were missed, which, for the price and time spent, was pretty surprising. The back window was streaked and the area was still very dusty, the rear view mirror had not been wiped, and the hood was patchy where they missed the spray with their towels. The dash was patchy with dust. The upholstery was done very well (we have dogs so there was a remarkable improvement), but so many other places were missed, I was left scratching my head. I'd skip this place. There's a Flagship in Shady Grove that offers the same service (but executed much better and more quickly) for less than half the price. I'll just go there after work. read more

After several vacations, drive-thru visits, and garden/brush haulings, we took our bedraggled, encrusted, and overly filthy minivan into the Shell Car Wash. I feel it took a lot of guts to turn this mess over to complete strangers without doing some thorough housekeeping of our own first, but the suffocating heat decided for us, and we sheepishly got out of the car with a muttered apology and "thank you" to the team. After roughly 90 minutes of scrubbing, vacuuming, squeegeeing, spraying, and buffing, our van looked like it was just off the sale lot, and I was actually afraid to get in it for fear of messing it up! This is a great car wash! If you are someone who maintains their car but doesn't want to take the time to detail or have a professional do it this is your place! They are cheaper than a full detail and do a great job with vacuuming and wiping the inside. Many car wash places I have been will vacuum but not do great on the dash or cup holder area. This place consistently does a good job making the car look fresh and new. I typically do the inside and outside wash but the last 2 times I did the Premium Wash it was well worth it! I love going to these guys. They always do a great job. Yesterday was a busy day for them but I was happy to get the winter muck washed off my car. I had a chance to watch everyone in action and could see that despite the line of cars waiting for the added service being done, each car was being given equal and full attention. This is not the cheapest way to get you car washed, but it is the closest you'll get to a professional car detailing, without paying twice as much. I'm going back. Holy hell. Can I just start by saying that for $42, your car is going to look amazing. I own a 2015 Scion FR-S and never expected the clean to be this good. I thought it was a simple clean, vacuum, done. Was I wrong. They even waxed my car, which I haven't seen, originally living in Gaithersburg. Normally I do my own cleaning but I highly recommend this place to those that need a quick clean for a car meet, a nice date, just feeling good about your car, etc. You will not be sorry on how these guys operate. I will warn you that they get busy in the afternoons but I'm sure the wait won't be a bother once you get it cleaned. Of course there are cheaper washes for you to choose one, but I love having wax on my car to give it an amazing shine. 5/5 definitely recommmend! read more

This is my go-to place for car washes. I get the Platinum once every couple months and they make the car look as good as new. Definitely the most bang for your buck in the area and the staff is extremely friendly. Took my wife's SUV there today and was pleasantly surprised when they came over and asked us if they could take her stuff out of the back so they could clean it better. I just assumed that they would vacuum around whatever was there but the fact that they wanted to do it right AND had the courtesy to ask us first just blew me away. To top it off, the manager came over and actually apologized that they had put her stuff on the ground. We had no issues and told him that we had told them it was ok to do that. Great service.
