Update. I've paused on whether or not to post this update, however, since I'm hesitant to return here for a third wash, that makes it worthy. First, very pleasant group of guys. But, shortly after each wash I noticed damage. One to the paint on the corner of the back and a area that was cut out under my headlight. Both seem to be indicative of a high speed rotary buffer. Very upset about the cut out under the headlight. The other area had the paint "burned" off the points of the bumper. Not only with the first wash, but again with the second. (This is also when I noticed the slice to the bumper under the headlight) Disappointing. I'm hesitant to go back. I don't want to go back and find further damage. Otherwise the car was beautiful when I received it (without going over it like I did when I got home). You guys need to watch how fast or hard your drying the car and maybe slow down. read more

I'm trying to avoid all the micro scratches that come with using your basic bay machine auto spas around town. After giving up that search, I decided to go with hand wash and wax places. I gave The Detail Shop a try. I've driven by about a million times on East Street, and just never noticed it tucked away the way it is. I called in the morning, and they were kind enough to squeeze me in as soon as I could get in. 25 minutes later, my "wash and go" service was done. I brought my car in for a full detail and I was shocked at how amazing my car looked. I have a 2014 Mazda and I've never had my car detailed. I also have two American bulldog mixes and their fur sticks in the seats and It' is hard to get out. When I brought my car into the shop, it was a hot mess. when I came to pick my car up, I was shocked by how shiny my car was and how it looked like new. I didn't expect to be so excited about seeing my car. The interior was beautiful. there were no dog hairs or smells, the fabric was clean and fresh. they had to use some kind of magic because I can't believe what a difference they made to my car. I got a detail gift certificate in late 2019 that I put off using until 2021 because of covid. When I called up to book it he wasn't sure he was going to honor it because it had a one year expiration date. Now this was a $175 gift certificate. Not a $10 starbucks gift card. I was floored. After a few minutes he agreed to honor it. Now this was not my first detail so I had high expectations. Moving down from Massachusetts four years ago I still had my inspection sticker on the window. It's very difficult to get off unless you really work at our. It was only partially peeled off. He never took it off nor did he ask if I wanted it removed. Okay I overlooked that. The inside and outside were done well except the exhaust pipe soot was not cleaned and the inside of the windshield still had some of gassing that was never removed. A bit disappointed. I feel like because the gift certificate had expired and I didn't have an expensive sports or luxury car (2015 audi q3) that there was not more care taken to complete the detail.
