After getting into an incident, I had my car towed here and at first everything seemed fine but as my car sat at the shop due delays in parts which I understand was out of their control, I started getting frustrated and lack of transparency became obvious as I kept pushing for a date of when I was going to get my car back. My car was returned to me, without informing me that the window button was not working along with my lcd screen which was not even part of the reason as to why I brought my car into the shop. My TPMS sensors were also not working. In essence, this shop managed to introduced issues that were all electronic related and failed to diagnose them and are now having me deal with insurance to get those issues resolved with the Lexus dealership. They did repair all the physical damage but along the way they don't have qualify people to handle electronic issues so please BEWARE as they are now pushing these issues on to me to handle with insurance and I may be out of thousands due to their incompetence.

Unlike other times I have used AAA for towing requests, the business who would be assigned to come to tow me would call, their tower would identify who he was, where he was coming from, and how long it would be before he arrived. The 40 West guy never called to let me know he was on his way, where he was coming from, or how soon it would be before he would arrive. All he brought was attitude. I had borrowed a car from a family member and was at the location within 10 minutes (if not less) after calling AAA ... AAA told me the tow truck would be at the location within 30 minutes -- maybe that is their standard estimated time they use when a tow is requested or maybe the girl I spoke to did not know the correct protocol? I don't know. When I arrived at the facility that had my car, the tow truck was already there. I went inside to pay my bill and get my car key. I was warned by the employee at the location that the 40 West driver appeared to be upset because I was not there when he arrived. I walked out to his truck and apologized for him having to wait and his reply was a smug "whatever" with a shrug of his shoulders. His attitude only went downhill after that. He wanted to know what was wrong with my car and if payment was going to be by cash. I explained my car problem (not that he needed to know) and why I needed it re-towed and I would pay with a credit card. He shrugged again and he added "I was told you were paying with cash." I felt the need to ask if paying with a credit card was going to be an issue. He replied, "No" and what cards he would accept, but his attitude spoke louder than words. He proceeded to move his truck (roll back) and positioned it behind my car. As he backed my car onto the roll back and worked to secure it, another person from the facility where I had my car, came out to quickly speak to me. While I was busy talking with him, the 40 West driver got into the truck and simply left without me. I had no idea where he had gone or which route he took. I quickly got into my borrowed car and drove quickly to the garage where my car was to go, hoping he would be there. Upon arrival, he was there along with his attitude. Other unfortunate issues took place once at the garage (additional charges for mileage that had to be explained and settled), but his attitude and rudeness did not wane toward me or toward the receptionist at the garage. To say he was very unprofessional is an understatement. I have never used 40 West in the past (they were not my choice, but assigned through AAA), and after this experience, it is highly unlikely that I would recommend them. I was already upset about my car having an issue where it had to be re-towed, but to have this guy show up with a MAJOR attitude that continued through the entire time I had to deal with him, did not set well with me, hence the need to post this review.

I skid in the rain and hit the guardrail, someone called cops, state police came due to state property, i said i would call AAA and they refused and said they couldn't wait for an hour and their towing service would come sooner. They towed, normal tow, nothing unusual or major, facility was 5 miles away. Called the next morning to pick up, and was blown!!! They quoted me $600 for the tow how in the world does anyone charges $600 for an overnight tow? When asked they said "accident" tows are different, how??? Charged me for 20 miles, cleanup charge $125, admin fee $35 and accidental tow charge $299" i called many tow companies to double check and also the state police and they all wondered why the charges were so much. After spending several thousand dollars, I was told everything was resolved and given a warranty on the door repairs. Unfortunately, the problem persisted. When I returned, I was shocked to hear there was no warranty. I later had a trusted friend run a diagnostic and found out the root issue was a bad starter and flex plate--issues they failed to diagnose despite charging me $300 for their inspection. In total, I paid $4,500. My doors still don't work properly, and my car had to be towed again. To make matters worse, when I picked up my car, the driver's side door was damaged, and my new custom oxblood carpet and floor mats were ruined by water damage. This happened despite providing them with a custom car cover. I also felt pressured to pay after receiving two different price quotes for the same work, which seemed very shady. I had to get a tow which the last picture is. This experience has been frustrating and disheartening. If you have a car that needs repairs, I strongly recommend taking it to someone you know and trust. Quality service matters, and this has shown me how things can go wrong when money takes precedence over professionalism. PS. Fitzway said they would fix it with no charge. When they supposedly fixed it, they did not replace the broken hydraulic arm that opens and closes the glove compartment. They left it with one arm, which worked for a while. They never told me to come back when the part came in for the arm. They just said they fixed it. Now my glove compartment is sitting on my car floor. This is how I found out that they never replaced the hydraulic arm.

I did a little bit of research on Google and the business seemed legit. Kevin, the owner, responded to my request and I was able to get my car in for a right front panel repair and also a bumper repair. Unfortunately, I was rear ended a month prior to this accident so my repairs were similar other than the front drivers side panel. That repair took 4 days. Anyway, I dropped my car off here on a Monday and was told it would most likely be repaired on Friday unless other issues were found. Of course, I was told they had to replace the entire rear bumper. Rather than bore you with all the details, I'll just make it brief. My car was in the shop for 18 days for this repair. Communication while it was in the shop was non-existent for the most part. Tons of excuses! When I picked it up the car was overheating and pouring out coolant like crazy. I had to have it towed back to the shop as its apparent something happened here. They paid for the cost to have it repaired which was an air bubble in the coolant system supposedly. After I picked it up again it still needed a cohesive put on the front drivers panel and an alignment, which was covered by insurance. It took 3 weeks for them to get back to me to bring it back in yet again. Typically, this would be a same day job. With Frederick, I knew I wouldn't be getting my car back the same day. Needless to say, this is the worst experience I've ever had with an automotive business in my entire life. I had to constantly stop by the shop to check on the status of my car, communication was absolute shit, and the turnaround time was an absolute joke. On top of that, now I'm having issues with my spoiler. I can't prove this is because of Frederick Auto Body, but the timing seems odd. Anyway, I'll get that looked at by a mechanic when I return to MA. I've seen some 1 star Google reviews where Kevin denies working on these cars. He told me that they didn't use AAA and told me what the amount would be for a tow. He also told me that he could get a truck there in 10 minutes. The price was reasonable and he was already providing great service without me being a customer. I'm thankful that Airpark Towing was in the area. I highly recommend.
