I've given this place not a second chance, but THIRD. After my first two horrible experiences, the owner, Gimena, reached out to cover a meal. I emailed her and she never replied. Upon following up, she agreed and asked me to reserve a table. I responded. Radio silence since then. My boyfriend decided to reserve a restaurant for my birthday. It was a Sunday evening and we sat outside. Hostesses certainly improved but the service really lacks with the expensive prices. The scenery and playing devil's advocate kept bringing me back. But, this is the last time. The service was slow, as usual. Server was polite but disappeared all the time despite only having two tables. We'd order and never see him again. My boyfriend privately requested that my dessert would have some sort of birthday message or something. I wasn't supposed to know. Then the dessert was slammed on the table and the server ran off. My boyfriend was red faced and upset that his request was not met and had to ask for a candle since I was celebrating my birthday only with him. They gave the candle in their palm and basically made us light it ourselves with my own pack of matches that I conveniently had in my purse. I felt pathetic doing that but my boyfriend was upset and who doesn't want to blow a candle on their dessert? Especially when they're spending $300 for the meal? The whole meal came out to be $320 which is absurd for what we received and the amount of chances I've given this restaurant. Furthermore, I was promised once a free meal due to my horrendous prior experience and never received a response when I inquired. Last time I'm ever updating this review. Quinto La Huella is located in an ugly multi-purpose Brickell building that houses a hotel and condo. To access the elevator you have to get past the crowded and uncomfortable lobby area and find the elevator. The restaurant itself is nice and the staff is very friendly - our waitress was great. We had a good start with a nice bread basket and I suppose if we left after that we would have been better off because it went all down hill. Drinks in Miami tend to be good but my vodka on the rocks was almost devoid of vodka and was basically ice. An appetizer was not bad but Quinto La Huella is about the beef so I figured I would try the short ribs.... and wow was that a mistake. The ribs were a shameful pricey mess of tasteless fat and bone. Its a shame because Quinto La Huella is a nice and comfortable restaurant but if they can't get their drinks and steak right then there are problems. read more

Came with a party of 4 for a New Years Day brunch. $75 pp plus 20% service charge and 1 bottle of wine. Total bill $457. Not a problem if it had been worth it. After we served our salad, then they informed us the buffet was over in 15 minutes. I had to run to the dessert table to get a plate since they began to disassemble. It just went downhill, the grill was turned off and we were served "leftover scraps of beef" as the waiter said, "Let me see what's left" 4 small pieces of undercooked meat and 1 sausage. AMAZING steak, vegetables (which I finished and I never eat or finish veggies), lobster salad, arugula salad, pizza, Nutella pizza, cocktails.. nailed it all! I forgot the gentleman's name who served us.. short curly black hair, worked on the night of 1/4/2021, but he was excellent! Portions were surprisingly large too! I'm shocked to see people complaining about price because everywhere else we went was double the price, but half the quality, portions and service.. We felt we got a good deal.. This place never disappoints!! I've been here twice for dinner and I will go back again for sure! Their outdoor seating is so cozy and comfortable. They have tables and booths surrounded by plants which give the place a different vibe. Their food and drinks are delicious. This time I tried the tuna tartar, the cause de pollo, and the grilled octopus, I shared it with a friend and it was enough food. They also give you this basket full of different types of breads. Prices are reasonable considering you are right in the center of Brickell. For dessert we tried a dulce de leche cake with banana ice cream, it was the perfect way of finishing the meal. Service does not match the price. A party of 10 and half of us ordered the special. It was an Appetizer, entree, dessert, and a bottle of wine for $150. Those that didn't order the special got their entrees and finished eating before we received ours. When advising the staff about it there was never an apology they just pushed free desserts on us. So the people who got their meals in a timely manner received a free dessert because ours was already included and they didn't discount our price. They just kept pushing junk at us saying "eat this it is good." and weren't listening to us. They were not accommodating and we had to ask several times for utensil. read more

Main course were galleto de campo(delicious) and the pesca la plancha ( really delicious), now the hongos al horno was a big disappointment to dry/not pleasant flavor... sad since I am a mushroom lover. The place since you get out of the elevator lacks on service even with reservation they made us wait then they took us outside were I was still expecting for a nice ambiance but nothing. Food was average and expensive, overpriced for sure!!! They charge for the water we ended up paying $40 just for regular water "ridiculous" and service was normal nothing to justify the overprice menu. Quinto was simply an amazing experience. First of all the venue is absolutely gorgeous and has great, different areas to discover. From the 2 different outside bars (the western facing one with the mural is my favorite of the 2) to the beautiful seating areas inside and outside. The decor is welcoming and simply a pleasure to take in as you taste the delicious food. Not a light meal kind of place but then again, I went there hungry and wasn't disappointed! The burrata and heirloom tomatoes and the provolone cheese were my favorite appetizers followed by the picana (entrana of my date was great too) to the not-to-miss dulce de leche dessert with banana ice cream. On the upside, it's location is one of a kind. The Brickell City Center is a destination in and of itself. To say otherwise is to be totally ignorant of it architectural merits and future-now innovations. The restaurant itself has a fantastic outdoor area and the interior decor is very stylish in a very South American country kind of way. Service too, was decent enough. Not over the top great, but certainly attentive and polite. Where my frustration and disappointment and perplexity comes from is the food. All of the ingredients were excellent: fresh, organic, grass fed, farm to table, etc. Even the preparation of the food was executed nicely. But something was missing. In my view, nothing I ate made me ask "how'd they do that?". On the contrary, i found myself saying "this is how I like to cook", and that's not what I was expecting from a restaurant that made everyone's "top restaurant in South America" list. Of course the food scene in South America is not as developed as it is here, but still, anyone's "top" restaurants should impress. Especially with so many diverse cultures down South. And yet it didn't. I ordered the Rib Eye as my main. It was cooked as I asked, check. It was a good piece of meat to be sure, check. But that's it! I too cook on fire and I have cooked Rib Eyes as good as the one I had. Making matters worse, it arrived in the center of a white plate. That's it. A regular round white plate. The side was some smashed potatoes. Again very good, but these are the simple tasty potatoes I make. And I could go on.... the point is nothing was bad, nothing. But nothing was "wow" either. And for an average of about $60-$70 per head (my wife and I ate, she just had water and our bill came out to $145), I expect "wow". To extend the concept, this is a trend I've seen with other "top restaurants" that come here from South America. They go from cities that have a handful of decent restaurants as their competition, to Miami, which has restaurants by some of the worlds top chefs: Joel Robuchon (coming soon), Daniel Boulud, Jean Georges, Michael Schwartz, Giorgio Rapicavoli, etc., etc., and so restaurants like La Huella hit a wall. A wall that didn't exist back home and in short, they're in over their heads. Many restaurants better than La Huella have shut their doors because the competition in Miami is that intense. This restaurant would be much better if it were priced closer to $25 per head... even $30. But not more than that. But La Huella would still make a great spot to go to if maybe you stick to drinks and possibly appetizers in an effort to keep the price down.... read more

It is distributed with different areas; one are is strictly by reservation only, the rest is per arrival, the bar, the lounge, and seating around the grill area- this last section, has high top seats- and you get to see how the meat is cooked - pretty cool. The pool area is fantastic, you see the city of Brickell in one side, and on the other side you see the new City Center mall- this is connected to the restaurant. Great place to get away from the daily routine, with family and friends. Five stars, this restaurant is something that you must try, finally, a little spot in brickell to disconnect yourself from the city. The restaurant is gigantic, with beautiful and intrincate art pieces all over the place. Any different area is surrounded by wood and leather, and the outside terrace is kind of a little forest. Our server, an Uruguayan young guy very similar to Jesus, told us about the story behind the restaurant and makes us feel super welcomed. The array of wines by the glass can satisfy all the demands and pair with all the food of the menu, even with the smoky and opulent flavor of the grill.
