We stopped by after AYCE lunch next door at Happy Lamb Hot Pot because there's always room for boba. My sister used to frequent this place when she lived nearby, and the owner still remembered her after a year of not visiting! I also overheard the owner telling a customer "I remember you usually get fresh milk with that, do you want that today?" We love thoughtful gestures :) Overwhelmed by the selection! They have 2 iPads to order from, and I felt like I kept scrolling. I wish we were hungry for snacks because they had my favorites like popcorn chicken ($10.15) and hurricane tots ($8.75). Sea salt coffee ($7.50): I got this half sweet and it was perfect! Not too salty (my usual gripe for this drink elsewhere) and not overpowered by the milk. I see why it made the top 8! A large size was an extra $1. Rose milk tea ($7.35): My sister's go-to! I normally don't like the perfumey taste of rose milk tea, but it didn't taste like that here. It was light and not too sweet. I saw you can opt for less caffeine which is cool. I will be back to try the roasted oolong milk tea ($7.15) and the food! The owner is so sweet and she was working solo when we came in (making drinks and manning the kitchen).
My first time at this place and found out that this store has been around 10 years. I can't believe I have never been there. I got the popcorn chicken as a snack and it was so juicy and crunchy! There were some descent size of the chicken pieces too. I enjoyed it. The two drinks I got were almond milk boba and oolong milk tea boba, both were delicious. I am craving for the popcorn chicken from this place! I will come back to get popcorn chicken again and try another drink. Service was great and the atmosphere of this store is cute.
Definite positive experience after this milk tea establishment. Quality milk, tea, as well as quality, popcorn, chicken. The only downside over the years is the change of ownership. I understand it's very competitive at this area for milk tea shops. But, I keep coming back, no matter who owns the shop Quality of service: A Quality of food: A+ Price: $- $$
There is only Happy Hour on Monday and Wednesday: have not tried it yet. Service was friendly. Ambiance casual and there are seats. Drinks sometimes can be too sweet, but ordering 50% sweetness can help.
Hate to give low ratings, but this was one of the worst drinks I've had in awhile. Weird flavor profile and even weirder aftertaste. I'm guessing they mainly use powder and syrup here. The biggest issue was how much they charged. Base price was $7.15 which included one topping. Tax and hidden service fee brought it to a whopping $8.10. There are a lot of better options out there at this price.
$8 for syrup/powder based liquid. There's even a 3% surcharge for ordering on the kiosk. I got a 0% sweetness drink and it still tasted like artificial diabetes. Insane how highly rated this is, but I guess this area just doesn't have many options and the people here haven't tried the better brands in Bay Area to be enlightened. I couldn't even finish my drink.
It's one of the last remaining cheaper boba tea places in the bay area with boba included in the pricing of most drinks, so I can see why people enjoy this place. Still, it's essentially a Quickly, but their tea strength is good. There are a few seats inside and at the time, just a single person running both the cash register and making the drinks. They have some cute trinkets, merchandise, and plushies for purchase at the counter, and free simple board games to play. We got two fruit teas - pineapple and mango strawberry - they were both quite sweet, and even at 30% my drink was too sweet. I thought the fruit flavors tasted more like am ambiguous sweet fruit flavor more than mango or strawberry, and the pineapple tasted more like pineapple candy. Their boba was good; it was soft and bouncy, and almost had a jelly texture. They have a snack menu that consists of mainly fried items with reasonable prices. I wouldn't mind dropping by for the occasional treat, but I'd definitely need to order at basically zero sweetness next time, if I got another fruit tea (I assume there was already a lot of sweetness from the syrups).
First time, nice place, friendly staff, well made drinks with rich and full of flavor. Clean and welcoming spot. Definitely recommend.
The shop is a bit narrow and congested coming in from the front. You will order from a tablet and see the staff rush frantically to create everyone's order. I decided to order the Honey Rice milk tea with grass jelly topping. I came in thinking I would come in and out with my drink. This expectation was subverted as I waited and saw customers walk in and grab their drink before me over and over. It turns out they were brewing a fresh batch of tea. The irony for a tea shop to run out of tea was interesting to say the least. The drink came out well and tasted refreshing.
The drinks were refreshing. Nice owner. They have a mix of drinks and snacks, I'll have to try some snacks next time! The winter melon flavor in the tea was not strong enough imo, but otherwise nice and cooling to sip on. The okinawa milk tea was pretty tasty. Good chewy boba.
Another new boba place we had to try on the way home. The place was warm and inviting, there was lots of seating. We all had our drinks, they were yummy. I had the avocado smoothie with sea salt cream. I like all the customization options, you can change the sweetness level, ice level, the type of milk used, and toppings. Service was pretty fast, we got our drinks pretty quickly.
Cute little boba shop! Owner/manager is super nice and friendly, and offers good recommendations when asked. Parking is plentiful right in front. We got a taro milk tea with lychee boba, and a lychee frosty (50% sweetness). Both were yummy delicious and the cups were so cute too! Love it, will come back!

I've been going to this establishment ever since it used to be an itea! even back then this was still one of my favorite boba joints....the quality has not changed at all even with the rebrand to "qtea" a couple years ago! the workers here are so kind and patient when it comes to asking questions about drinks etc. so that is much appreciated! they have such a nice array of drinks and snacks....I usually get a mango yakult or any of their yakult drinks because those are just so well done in my opinion! ive had plenty of yakult drinks from other boba places and it does not compare to the ones at qtea! you can actually taste the iconic yakult flavor and it doesnt just taste like straight up sugar syrup like at some other places. the boba texture is always just right as well. im a big stickler for texture in boba and qtea meets my expectations perfectly! not too mushy or hard, it's just right. :) I highly suggest getting their rewards stamp card, especially if you're someone like me who loves boba.... now aesthetics aren't everything but ohmygosh the shop's mascot is so cute and I love how the cup has an adorable penguin and a hello kitty + astrology sealed lid....im a huge fan of anything sanrio so I was super happy to see hello kitty on the cup haha! it's just a really cute touch and it makes the entire boba drinking experience even better! This place is my go to if im at home and don't want to drive far or after I go to happy lamb! Their fruit tea is really good I always get their passion fruit. I also tried their egg puff with ice cream! The staff is very friendly and they have really cute decor around the boba shop. read more

After closing for a period of time because of shelter in place, they're now open M,W,F,Sat from 12-6pm. Get your boba fix guys! Drinks: - Mango fruit tea: refreshing! - Strawberry mango fruit tea: perfect if you can't decide between mango fruit tea and strawberry fruit tea. Best of both world :p Their drinks are on the sweeter side so I always get it with less sugar (30-50% is sweet enough for me) Snacks: They offer a variety of snacks. We got - popcorn chicken thigh: a must get! Juicy meat and very well seasoned. 5/5! - takoyaki: average but not bad at all Wanted the Japanese egg tofu but they didn't have it at the time. Service: friendly service :) super nice people. I texted my order and they were prompt to respond. I appreciate that they take certain safety measurements too. Clean pens to use, employees all wearing masks, and glass window to separate customers and employees. Will definitely come back for more boba goodness! read more

My go to spot eversince they first opened and was called a different name then. They have consistent drinks and it always hit the spot whenever the cravings called for. I always love their wintermelon Kreama with grass jelly and match it perfectly with their popcorn chicken (thighs and mild spicy). This place is also so welcoming as the owner and people who works here remembers you. A small family owned place and that's how I like it. read more

QTea is now open, as of 10/29! Hopefully the power outages don't affect their grand opening, but for those of you missing iTea, you can expect the same great service from Spenser and team, and better tasting boba tea than before! I showed up before their opening hours at 11:25, to be their first ever customer! One order of Roasted Oolong milk tea with light ice and sugar replaced with Splenda. While that was being prepared, I snapped a few pictures of the cute new penguin logo and menu. (Since I arrived early, I got a behind the scenes look as iTea Corporate came by to inspect that everything was changed from the old brand so that there's nothing legacy left behind. Seemed like everything checked out to move forward for opening!) My order finished up and the tea is creamier than before -- tasty! For now, the menu is similar to before, but with new creamer, new teas and new syrups. Expect Spenser to test out new creations -- I hear that Yakult frosty, honeydew and black fruit tea combinations are on the experimental list. And you didn't hear it from me, but when Girl Scout Cookie season arrives, there might be some new limited-time specials unveiled! Sorry to be long winded, but I'm excited for Spenser and the team for their new QTea adventure! Now they need to work on getting some penguin plushies...! read more

Insanely fast service, got my drink seconds after I ordered. I got a 30% sweet classic boba milk tea and the tea itself compared to other boba places runs less sweet with a stronger tea aroma. Perfect! I will say that the pearls were a bit smaller/less chewy than at other places, but overall it was really good. As for the price, it is slightly more expensive, like the price of the same drink at iTea with an extra topping, but personally I think it's worth it. The place doesn't give off chain vibes. The plastic film on top of the drinks are the non-custom kind you can find at many family run boba shops, but the penguin theme is so cute! Attached are some images. There was some seating inside with small tables, good for waiting or eating something you ordered using their free guest wifi, but a bit too narrow to be studying/working from. There were also two pink bird benches outside. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area! read more

Solid boba tea join off of the 580 freeway. We stopped on our way home from Manteca. The kids love their popcorn chicken with skewer sticks. The nice thing about this spot, they let you choose between white or dark meat chicken. Everything is cooked fresh and may take a minute but well worth it. The only negative I have, they don't give you fried basil/herbs with your chicken. I didn't ding them because the nice girl at the register brought us out our food seeing I had two kids in tow and also asked us how everything was after we had settled down to eat. The place is small, not for large groups because there are no nearby seating. Indoor seating has min 2 chairs per table so definitely don't bring a crowd. Their benches right out front also seat two and there are only two out there. We ordered two popcorn chickens one Y1 (white meat) and Y2 (dark meat) to see the difference. Y2 was definitely juicier. Service was awesome and they had a nice stream of customers while we were hanging out. Most (like ourselves) opted to eat in our vehicles. Would recommend and would def hit up this joint again if I was nearby. Check it out for yourselves. read more

First boba stop for the new year. Decided to come by here on a Sunday since I wanted some popcorn chicken. I decided to order the Jasmine green milk tea with boba, 80% ice & 30% sweetness. My mom ordered the strawberry smoothie with 80% ice. I also ordered the basil popcorn chicken (thighs) with no spicy. The popcorn chicken was nice and fresh since they finished cooking it. It tasted really juicy. Overall we enjoyed what we ordered and service was nice and friendly. read more
