Jasmine milk tea with boba was $6.00
Eric L.

Nice boba spot with one piece manga decorations inside. Seemed to be a popular spot around just after lunch time. I had my usual jasmine milk team with 30% sweetness. The bobas were nice and chewy. With our drinks order ready in about 5-6 minutes. I was advised the Jasmine milk tea came with a non dairy milk. Parking in the lot was pretty easy.

Their kiwi drink! 10/10

Whenever my cousin and I are in this area, we always know we're gonna end up here. They have a good selection of drinks to choose from - from milk teas, to fruit teas, to smoothies. My cousin and I usually share their popcorn chicken (& now waffle fries) and something that's unique about this spot is that they ask how spicy you want everything. They also give free sauces when you ask. I think also if you're super into anime, specifically One Piece, you would appreciate the aesthetic of this boba spot bc it's everywhere

I always see their sign of happy hour from 7-9 pm every day. I finally happened to try it last week. I ordered dirty boba and strawberry snow with lychee and ice cream. Both of them have regular sugar and ice. I liked both of them, dirty boba comes with a good amount of black boba and tasted perfect to me. Strawberry One is a perfect blend of strawberry smoothie with ice cream at the bottom. I usually like my drinks sweeter and if you prefer less sweet ask for less sweeter.

Mango milk tea

I decided to try Boba X because I saw online that they had some fun One Piece themed decor. They really went all out with the One Piece theme inside. I got a mango milk tea, 30% sweet, no ice, and it was done within a few mins. It was still quite sweet for 30% sweetness, but other than that, it was pretty decent, but not anything particular memorable about the flavor. For the build your own tea flavors, they unfortunately won't allow you to add milk to them.

Taro snow with pudding
Hope L.

This place was so cute! I liked the one piece theme. I got the taro snow with pudding and personally, this was an okay drink. I checked my credit card bill and I was billed under sharetea so I think this place is just a rebranded Sharetea? It didn't really do anything for me as the taro flavor wasn't really there and the drink tasted pretty watered down from the ice. The pudding also didn't have much flavor either. Overall, this drink was just pretty average and I've had better.

My girlfriend and I saw the great reviews so we decided to give it a try as we were looking for something refreshing. We ordered the Guava Summer and a Passionfruit Tea. 50% sweet on the guava summer and 30% sweet on the passionfruit. Service was quick as the drinks were ready within 2 minutes. After trying the drinks, both drinks turned out to be way too sweet. They also did not taste like guava or passionfruit at all. It was almost bitter as well. Not refreshing at all and taste was horrific.

The split cup, super cute

Came here because our usual spot was closed. We ordered what we would usually order at any boba spot. Popcorn chicken - big chunks of dark meat with good flavor and crunch Fried Octopus - the octopus is a good size, not the small ones where you mostly just get a crunch. I like that it has the crunch but also the texture of the octopus Fried Tofu - best eaten when freshly fried at its crispiest state You are able to do split cups and they come in smaller cups for the kids with matching straws - I thought that was super cute! Drinks are good too, we got Okinawa with boba, signature milk tea with boba, and the strawberry snow w/ lychee jellies & ice cream Ambiance - I brought my 3 girls this time around, will need to come back another time with my son who will appreciate the One Piece theme!

Matcha Series selections

Came here on a weeknight and to our surprise they were having happy hour from 7pm-9pm! All drinks were 20% off! I ordered their Mango Matcha! The matcha didn't look the normal green color I'm used to, but it tasted like matcha! The drink was good! Loved the combination of mango purée, milk, and matcha!

Mango Milk Tea with boba

This was nearby my lunch place. After a spicy meal something icy and sweet will complement my meal. After browsing the extensive menu, I narrowed down to a mango milk tea with 30% sweetness, less ice and only the regular large boba was available. There is one size offered. Only one counter person provided service. She was pleasant. My order was taken and drink was immediately made. The milk tea satisfied my required, not too sweet with plenty of tea and boba was good. The price was fair. I would be back if I'm nearby.

Mango Matcha and Jasmine Milk Tea

Calling all One Piece fans! This boba shop is for you. I've never seen One Piece but it was really cool to see all of the decor and display case with the figures. The whole shop was decked out. We came here around 7pm on a Sunday. I got a Jasmine Milk Tea with boba, 30% sweetness, and less ice. My cousin got a Mango Matcha with boba and 30% sweetness. After the staff rung up our order, I was pleasantly surprised to see a happy hour discount. Looks like they have happy hour 20% off all drinks everyday, 7pm-close! The Jasmine Milk Tea was good. I could really taste the jasmine. The boba had a nice texture with a good balance between soft and chewy. I took a sip of the Mango Matcha. The mango was tart and overpowering. I wished the matcha flavor was more prominent. This drink was okay.

Yoooo One Piece!!

Thought the One Piece theme was pretty cool. I digged the mural, the figures were cool too and nice wanted posters everywhere. I ordered their popcorn chicken and got a custom mango passionfruit drink. The popcorn chicken wasn't as good as I expected or used to. The breading was a little off and it wasn't as juicy or tender as I was hoping for. The drink was pretty decent. Had it at 50% sugar and it was a tad bit sweeter than I expected. I will say the positive that I did like was their happy hour deal. 7-9pm everyday is 20% off their drinks. My customer 2 flavor drink with jelly topping came out to be $5.12 which is a steal now. I don't think I can find boba spot that costs $5 for drink and topping. If you go to BobaX, I definitely recommend coming during happy hour to get the most bang for your buck.

Mango green tea with agar bubbles

This is a cute little boba store with lots of One Piece-inspired decorations! We came for late night boba less than an hour before they closed, so it was pretty empty. I noticed that the menu offers customizable flavor options, which is nice. There was also a selection of snacks that looked really appetizing, but we had just come from a big dinner. Those curly fries were calling to me though! We ordered a taro milk tea with pudding and a mango green tea with agar (crystal) boba. Service was helpful and friendly. The boba came out pretty quick in a solid sized cup. My husband liked his taro one but I felt it didn't taste as authentic as other taros I've tasted before. I got my mango green tea a bit too sweet (80%) but that was my fault, oops. It was hard to taste any of the green tea since the mango flavor was overpowering - it felt like I was drinking straight mango juice. The pudding, boba, and crystal bubbles were all pretty average. Overall, it's not the most authentic boba I've ever had, but it was still pretty decent with reasonable pricing, and at a very cute, comfy location.

I don't know why this place has good reviews but the drinks were terrible. We got passion fruit 30% sugar level and guava tea 50% sugar level. They just tasted like sugar water. I wouldn't recommend. I'd say waste of money.

I think that'd be something I'd try another time. As it was the game of my childhood, I really wanted a Neopet blind box with my weekly treat of a boba. I generally always go for fruit teas, but the tea smell in this shop smelled really strong; I always assume that's the strong smell of black tea...so I felt like a milk tea this time. I ordered the AISHA: Black Milk Tea w/ Pearls, 70% sweetness. Service here was quick and super friendly despite it looking like a one man operation at the time I was there. It seemed like he was the owner as we chatted about the Neopet collaboration and how it's a very nostalgic thing. He said it's all been adults coming in to grab a blind box, no kids yet then. I am not that surprised as I was there purely for the nostalgia too. The straws there are the paper ones, used 2 to try to stab the top open and that was a fail... ended up using a reusable straw I had stashed in my car. I'd suggest stabbing the straw in store first as the straw can crumble a bit after a few attempts of poking it through the top. For the drink itself, I loved that there was a strong tea taste - would get it a little less sweet next time as the boba added a lot of sweetness to me. Boba was a bit overcooked as there wasn't much of a bite to it, but good flavor soaked in it. Final Thoughts: Collabs definitely are the way to go as it peaked my interest of Gong Cha again, been a while since I've gone and I'll definitely be back again to give other drinks a try.

I cannot get enough of it! Order here is very convenient as you can do so via the Snackpass app. They also have the QR code in front to order there and a standing ordering station that you can do so yourself. As for parking, it does get a little crowded at times, especially when people are waiting to get a spot or trying to parallel park along the median area. During the busy hours, the wait is a bit... but it's very worth it to me. The employees don't have much interaction with customers, but it seems that everything is done very efficiently behind the counter with order numbers constantly being called out and such. The shop inside is small with just a few seats to wait, mostly best to wait outside for your number to be called (or the app to notify you that your order is ready). Front is clean and cutely decorated, menu displayed clearly as well. The 2 go to drinks for me here is the Passion Fruit Green Tea and the Mango Passion Smoothie. QQ Noodles and Cubed Pearls are a must have for me as I love the chewy texture (makes me think of mochi cakes from Yi Fang too). The tea is always very smooth and yet present in the drinks. As for the Mango Passion Smoothie, there's a very strong mango flavor without it tasting artificial at all! Everything tastes made with fresh fruits and much care. My friend did order a Bubble Waffle here. Getting it fresh and having some, it was not the most memorable waffle. The flavor is as you'd expect it... but it doesn't fall a bit flat. I think I personally prefer Happy Lemon's bubble waffle. Overall though... I love the drinks here enough to honestly ignore the food. Final Thoughts: This will definitely be my to go place in this area and I'm already craving a stop here already.

Our recent visits have been to return for the avocado smoothie, which is not a common drink offering at Boba places, and popcorn chicken. The avocado smoothie is okay and not the best, however, it will do given none of the nearby places offer this drink. But the real winner is their popcorn chicken which comes with a decently sized-portion and the batter is perfect in amount and flavor. We don't particularly like our food spicy, so we always request for them to not add additional pepper sprinkled on top. That makes it perfect for us. However, if you like your food more spicy, definitely let them know. The only way to do this is if you order directly through a cashier or you somehow get their attention before they finish your order. Otherwise, ordering through the kiosk does not allow you to input any special requests. Service is not particularly fast especially when they get bombarded by the students from the middle schools and high school in the afternoon. I have yet to try their milk tea, but I haven't come to want to take the chance given one of my favorites is not that far of a walk from Honi-Bear. In any case, the location is great in the heart of downtown to treat ourselves to some drinks and snacks!

However, you're not going to find a cuter looking store than this in the area, so can't miss it. Ume offers the boba variety and will have the typical snacks that accompanies it. While no major food options, it's quite literally next to a sando place, and other food spots so you don't necessarily have to get a meal meal here. As mentioned before, Ume's play is definitely on the cute angle. I've been to their other locations and it's the same thing basically. This location does have a few seating inside albeit no big tables, and a few seating outside with a bigger table. The decor, from the seating pillow, to the wall design, to the cute mascots on the cups, it's all very coordinated at the very least. Price wise, it's not bad. Compared to Sharetea which is also in this shopping center, it's about comparable, though perhaps slightly cheaper, but not by much. Drink option wise, Sharetea is going to have more options of course, but Ume also has a good variety. Service here is good, just not friendly. You can just order yourself on the screen, but the people who work there really won't want to interact with you other than bringing out the order. They will at least pretend to work out half a smile when they feel like it, but otherwise they'll sort of just be doing their own thing most of the time I've been here. The drinks here are pretty decent. I've mostly gotten the milk teas when I've been here, and all in all, they've been real tasty. The combination of taste from the mixing was well done. The boba here is also quite good. Well made and certainly on par with Sharetea's boba if you need to compare, but slightly different, in a good way. All in all, Ume is a fine option for boba if you're in the area, and don't feel like Sharetea. Their drinks are priced relative to the area's offerings, and drink quality has also been good. However, one thing to note is that if you don't get the large cup, they unfortunately use the mini cups for regular size, which at the price for the upgrade, doesn't really make much sense unless you just want less, which in this case it'll work out. But just know, regular size here are small.
