Stopped by on a quiet Wednesday afternoon. I originally wanted the wintermelon tea with agar boba, but they were out, so I settled for the honey boba. * Boba: Surprisingly chewy and fresh. * Tea: Great flavor, but very sweet. I'd suggest 50% sugar next time. * Service: Fast, though "less ice" didn't seem to make a difference. Solid spot, just watch the sweetness levels!
This isn't local to me, but it was worth the drive to enjoy great food and drinks in such a cool shop! If you're a fan of One Piece, this is a must visit, it's the reason we ventured here from Concord to check it out. From the menu to the ordering kiosk to all the decor and wall art, this is a fan's happy place. Beyond the theme, the food and drinks were all very delicious. Unfortunately I cannot review the boba, as it's not my thing, but I was very happy with the two drinks I ordered during my visit: Classic Brew tea Cheese Creama and Honey Green Tea. We also ordered Fried Octopus, Zucchini, and Honey Popcorn Chicken. Everything was delicious, especially the octopus. My friends and I relaxed and enjoyed a nice long visit here, the vibes at BobaX are super chill and welcoming. The owner is so friendly! Definitely recommend checking it out, even if you aren't a fan of One Piece, it's worth it for the fried octopus and yummy drinks.
My son used to walk here after school from wells then from DHS. So we've been coming here for years! There is tons of seating areas where you can sit and chat with friends. And the decor is like anime super cute! We love the fried octopus and curly fries. For drinks I always get the signature milk tea! Always busy during rush hour when kids are out of school but the wait is hardly ever long.
Happy hour from 7-9 PM everyday 20 percent off! One Piece anime theme going on. They could put more tables at the front, but I guess that's not what they are going for; more of a grab-and-go boba shop. The mango milk tea was not bad. It's not high quality but tasted just fine. Will definitely keep the happy hour in mind for future boba.
Nice boba spot with one piece manga decorations inside. Seemed to be a popular spot around just after lunch time. I had my usual jasmine milk team with 30% sweetness. The bobas were nice and chewy. With our drinks order ready in about 5-6 minutes. I was advised the Jasmine milk tea came with a non dairy milk. Parking in the lot was pretty easy.
Whenever my cousin and I are in this area, we always know we're gonna end up here. They have a good selection of drinks to choose from - from milk teas, to fruit teas, to smoothies. My cousin and I usually share their popcorn chicken (& now waffle fries) and something that's unique about this spot is that they ask how spicy you want everything. They also give free sauces when you ask. I think also if you're super into anime, specifically One Piece, you would appreciate the aesthetic of this boba spot bc it's everywhere

Both of them have regular sugar and ice. I liked both of them, dirty boba comes with a good amount of black boba and tasted perfect to me. Strawberry One is a perfect blend of strawberry smoothie with ice cream at the bottom. I usually like my drinks sweeter and if you prefer less sweet ask for less sweeter.
I decided to try Boba X because I saw online that they had some fun One Piece themed decor. They really went all out with the One Piece theme inside. I got a mango milk tea, 30% sweet, no ice, and it was done within a few mins. It was still quite sweet for 30% sweetness, but other than that, it was pretty decent, but not anything particular memorable about the flavor. For the build your own tea flavors, they unfortunately won't allow you to add milk to them.
This place was so cute! I liked the one piece theme. I got the taro snow with pudding and personally, this was an okay drink. I checked my credit card bill and I was billed under sharetea so I think this place is just a rebranded Sharetea? It didn't really do anything for me as the taro flavor wasn't really there and the drink tasted pretty watered down from the ice. The pudding also didn't have much flavor either. Overall, this drink was just pretty average and I've had better.

Popcorn chicken - big chunks of dark meat with good flavor and crunch Fried Octopus - the octopus is a good size, not the small ones where you mostly just get a crunch. I like that it has the crunch but also the texture of the octopus Fried Tofu - best eaten when freshly fried at its crispiest state You are able to do split cups and they come in smaller cups for the kids with matching straws - I thought that was super cute! Drinks are good too, we got Okinawa with boba, signature milk tea with boba, and the strawberry snow w/ lychee jellies & ice cream Ambiance - I brought my 3 girls this time around, will need to come back another time with my son who will appreciate the One Piece theme!
My girlfriend and I saw the great reviews so we decided to give it a try as we were looking for something refreshing. We ordered the Guava Summer and a Passionfruit Tea. 50% sweet on the guava summer and 30% sweet on the passionfruit. Service was quick as the drinks were ready within 2 minutes. After trying the drinks, both drinks turned out to be way too sweet. They also did not taste like guava or passionfruit at all. It was almost bitter as well. Not refreshing at all and taste was horrific.
Came here on a weeknight and to our surprise they were having happy hour from 7pm-9pm! All drinks were 20% off! I ordered their Mango Matcha! The matcha didn't look the normal green color I'm used to, but it tasted like matcha! The drink was good! Loved the combination of mango purée, milk, and matcha!

My friends took me here to pick up snacks on Labor Day since I hadn't had lunch yet. I got medium spicy fried tofu, and although it took forever because the store was packed with customers, and there was only like one staff member running operations, it came out fresh, hot, and tasty. Typically, "spicy" really just means seasoned for Taiwanese snacks at most boba stores, but the tofu here had a bit of a spicy edge. It was a pretty good portion size and worth the wait on a holiday weekend. read more

Listen here, children--I'm 83 years old and Angry, I've survived wars, disco, and gluten-free kale, but nothing prepared me for the abomination that is the mango milk tea from Boba X. I waddled in with high hopes, cane in one hand, coupons in the other. I asked the nice young man (who had a nose ring and looked like he hadn't slept since 1997) for a mango milk tea because I like mango. I like milk. I like tea. Seems simple enough, right? WRONG. What I got was a cup of chemical swamp juice that tasted like a Barbie doll melted in a microwave and was blended with spoiled yogurt. PLASTIC. Straight-up PLASTIC. I know plastic. This was nearby my lunch place. After a spicy meal something icy and sweet will complement my meal. After browsing the extensive menu, I narrowed down to a mango milk tea with 30% sweetness, less ice and only the regular large boba was available. There is one size offered. Only one counter person provided service. She was pleasant. My order was taken and drink was immediately made. The milk tea satisfied my required, not too sweet with plenty of tea and boba was good. The price was fair. I would be back if I'm nearby. read more
Calling all One Piece fans! This boba shop is for you. I've never seen One Piece but it was really cool to see all of the decor and display case with the figures. The whole shop was decked out. We came here around 7pm on a Sunday. I got a Jasmine Milk Tea with boba, 30% sweetness, and less ice. My cousin got a Mango Matcha with boba and 30% sweetness. After the staff rung up our order, I was pleasantly surprised to see a happy hour discount. Looks like they have happy hour 20% off all drinks everyday, 7pm-close! The Jasmine Milk Tea was good. I could really taste the jasmine. The boba had a nice texture with a good balance between soft and chewy. I took a sip of the Mango Matcha. The mango was tart and overpowering. I wished the matcha flavor was more prominent. This drink was okay. read more
Thought the One Piece theme was pretty cool. I digged the mural, the figures were cool too and nice wanted posters everywhere. I ordered their popcorn chicken and got a custom mango passionfruit drink. The popcorn chicken wasn't as good as I expected or used to. The breading was a little off and it wasn't as juicy or tender as I was hoping for. The drink was pretty decent. Had it at 50% sugar and it was a tad bit sweeter than I expected. I will say the positive that I did like was their happy hour deal. 7-9pm everyday is 20% off their drinks. My customer 2 flavor drink with jelly topping came out to be $5.12 which is a steal now. I don't think I can find boba spot that costs $5 for drink and topping. If you go to BobaX, I definitely recommend coming during happy hour to get the most bang for your buck. read more

Still my kids' favorite boba place in the area. They've added lots of snacks on the menu. Now they have churro, chicken wings, several kinds of fries, cotton candy, french toast. It's kinda crazy how many types they have. Including egg waffle. You can even add ice cream to your egg waffle. And I just found out you can ask for your egg waffle extra crispy! So yummy! The price is on the higher end but what's not expensive nowadays. read more
You'll never see a review for boba or milk tea drinks from me....well, mainly because I'm not the biggest fan and having something chewy in my drink is not my thing. I know I'm in the minority but it's the same aversion I have to eating cilantro and melons in that it tastes soapy or perfumy *shrugs*. Also, with adjustments to sweet levels, I still find the drinks way too sweet In any case, this spot has a wider variety of drinks (sans boba and milk tea) and fried snacks (corn dogs, waffle fries, tater tots, zucchini, churros and more!) than most like-Asian boba/milk tea spots and do it better. The popcorn chicken is one of the better ones I've had with the option of spice level and condiments (ranch, katsu, sweet and sour, ketchup) to dip those nuggets of crispiness! Place is modern with anime theme, clean, friendly and efficient. Place is niece (friend and sister)-approved for the drinks, fried snacks and anime...especially, One Piece...mmkay...each time I saw a kid walk in they got giddy and ran to every corner of the place to check out the decor. read more
We like boba so here goes another one. We got the Guava Summer, Cocoa Lover and Signature Popcorn Chicken. You can pick your sweetness and ice. They had a pretty decent selection. Lots of drinks and hot snacks. Guava summer was great. Cocoa lover was smooth and husband really loved it. Signature popcorn chicken was perfect at mild for me. But it was a bit dry, could have used some sauce. Inside it was cute with anime one piece. Most tables looked like it had been wiped. My baby liked looking at all the decorations. Very cute. This is a cute little boba store with lots of One Piece-inspired decorations! We came for late night boba less than an hour before they closed, so it was pretty empty. I noticed that the menu offers customizable flavor options, which is nice. There was also a selection of snacks that looked really appetizing, but we had just come from a big dinner. Those curly fries were calling to me though! We ordered a taro milk tea with pudding and a mango green tea with agar (crystal) boba. Service was helpful and friendly. The boba came out pretty quick in a solid sized cup. My husband liked his taro one but I felt it didn't taste as authentic as other taros I've tasted before. I got my mango green tea a bit too sweet (80%) but that was my fault, oops. It was hard to taste any of the green tea since the mango flavor was overpowering - it felt like I was drinking straight mango juice. The pudding, boba, and crystal bubbles were all pretty average. Overall, it's not the most authentic boba I've ever had, but it was still pretty decent with reasonable pricing, and at a very cute, comfy location. read more

I enjoy it when boba places utilize themes to differentiate themselves, especially when the theme is unique, well done, and accompanied by great tasting beverages. I think Boba X did just that. Boba X, featuring so many things, from posters to action figures (I mean a lot of action figures) to everything else you can almost imagine around what I believe to be the "One Piece" anime series featured on Netflix. It was so fun and entertaining to show my baby daughter all of the unique-ness around the shop. The drinks were well made, but nothing stood out. The popcorn chicken was a bit on the saltier side for my liking, so nothing memorably great, but I enjoyed them. Service was nice--a bunch of high schools kids working? Lovely group of kind servers and patrons. Fun times. read more

Finally!!! Found a boba place that feels like home in Southern California. My family loves boba but we couldn't find a place where it's not too sweet or too bland until now. We got four drinks and my family complimented all four boba tasted great. Will definitely coming back. The staffs there are very friendly and family oriented. Perfect for fans of One Piece!! I came here to get fried tofu and it was so delicious Definitely some of the best boba shop fried tofu I've had. It pairs perfectly with sweet chili sauce and was crunchy and flavorful. I didn't get a drink this time, but will definitely come back to get more tofu and try their bevs. I think it was very reasonably priced too. The decorations here are so fun and the baristas are very nice! Clean store and there is a lot of parking outside. I'm for sure going to come back to munch!! read more
The matcha milk tea here is very good. I love boba but I'm trying to watch my sugar so I got it with agar which is a clear type of jelly that still has texture and size like boba but isn't stringy like noodles. I got my matcha milk tea with 80 percent sweet and agar. We also got some popcorn chicken. They have different dips you can have for it but we opted just for the spicy pepper on the side. They didn't have any white pepper but it wasn't a problem because the popcorn chicken was pretty darn great alone. When we approached the register, there was a very sweet young man and also a cute little girl watching and helping him. They are adorable and full of good vibes. I would love to be helped by them anytime! The shop itself is awesome, they have some cozy chairs in the register area as well as small and some larger tables around the cafe, perfect to hang out, work on laptops, etc. They also have a restroom inside! Can't wait to come back when I'm in the area to get my new fav drink from there and some popcorn chicken! read more

I don't know why this place has good reviews but the drinks were terrible. We got passion fruit 30% sugar level and guava tea 50% sugar level. They just tasted like sugar water. I wouldn't recommend. I'd say waste of money. read more
I usually get milk tea as more of a treat or like a dessert type thing. This milk tea wasn't as flavorful as others are or as sweet. I asked for zero ice and regular sweetness but the regular sweetness isn't sweet. The tea was really strong and I think they used more tea than normal. My boyfriend got a crème filled churro and said it was a normal churro, nothing special. Overall it seems super modern and is a clean cute place. If you're looking for milk tea that isn't super sweet, this is the place. However, if you like a on the sweeter side milk tea then this place isn't for you. read more
