Good selection, quick service, clean establishment and friendly staff. No reservation needed this is a casual, order at the cashier and take a number kind of joint. The burnt ends sandwich is literally to die for. We also loved the brisket, pulled pork and pulled chicken. The meals are huge and come with two hush puppies so keep in mind when considering an appetizer. Surprisingly delicious bbq for Illinois, I will definitely be back! Free parking lots behind and in front of the restaurant. read more

I loved the La Grange Q-BBQ, which made me wonder why I didn't try the one closer to me in Naperville... So here I am loving this location too! This time I got sliced brisket with spicy brussel sprouts and coleslaw. It was lunch so I thought 1 meat would be enough, which it was in terms of quantity but I think after awhile a second meat might have been nice to have more variety. The brisket was tender just like at La Grange and with a touch of the bbq sauce (conveniently on your table) each bite was full of flavor. Try all 3 bbq sauces! Sweet, vinegar, spicy! The star of the meal for me was the spicy brussel sprouts. There was an up charge to add these to the combo but if you like brussel sprouts, you'll love these! The spicy brussel sprouts are spicy though so if that's not your thing, try the non-spicy version! Bonus: - Hand washing station available for the "get into your food" folks. - Ample street parking and parking lot across the street. read more

Wow. Thank you Yelp for helping me find really good bbq in the western suburbs. Ordered their St. Louis full slab with a side of hush puppies and corn bread. Enjoyed the Texas spicy sauce. Thoroughly enjoyable. I will be back with friends. read more

Parking on a Saturday night was a bit of a hassle, but Q was worth all the effort. We ordered the 3 meat platter that came with two sides. We went with pulled pork, burnt ends and the spicy wings with cornbread and slaw. The meat was a generous portion for two people and didn't even require any sauce because of how flavorful it was. The wings were my favorite. We were tempted to order more just because of how smoky and delicious they were, but a long line had formed while we ate. If we came and ordered the 3 meat plate again, I'd probably order a couple other sides because I would have liked a little bit more food. They also have a few beers and hard soda. Our total ended up being $26 for a beer, a hard soda and a 3 meat plate which I thought was very reasonable and well worth the price. read more

Some really good BBQ. There isn't much more to it. I went in and grabbed the brisket, burnt ends, hush puppies and mashed potatoes. I just missed brunch...damn. I wanted the chicken and waffles but we just missed brunch! I enjoyed the food a lot. BBQ was cooked perfectly and got a decent amount of food. Hush puppies were delicious. Crispy on the outside and had a good soft center with nice chunks of corn as well. Burnt ends were my favorite. Nice Smokey taste did well with the sweet bbq sauce. I'd hit this place up if you're in Naperville and need some tasty BBQ in your life. It's a little pricey for what you get but still worth it. They also have three different kinds of BBQ sauce. I preferred the sweet but they also had a vinegar base sauce as well as spicy. All were tasty! read more

All I have to say is WOW! The burnt ends brisket was out of this world. It was full of flavor. Enough said, I ordered the 2 meat meal, the burnt end brisket and Memphis style wings with two sides. The cornbread and the cole slaw. When I received my order it came with 2 hush puppies! These puppies are the bomb. If I would of known I wouldn't ordered the corn bread. But at least I tried it and it was really good. Overall, the service was first class as the person who was taking my order was very friendly. I will be back to bring my family. I truly recommend this BBQ restaurant. #SenorFood read more

A-ok on the BBQ here. I had a good beef brisket sandwich and a side of mac for $8.77 after tax. It was a little pricy for what you get, but it is a downtown Naperville location. I liked the Texas spicy sauce. I also liked that at lunchtime at least they hold a table for you before you order, so there's no need to scramble during the busy lunch hour, and they bring your food to the table. read more

‍ This place did not wow me. Would I go here on my own idea no. Would I refuse if someone I was with wanted to go? No, The food was not spectacular it has potential, but the burnt ends are depressing, I mean what the hell is that? Literally over cooked meat that had the same texture of compressed card board smothered in sauce. No thank you then the price for what's suppose to be recycled cooking .I could buy a decent brisket for that, barbecue it and make my own burnt ends. And be much happier. Aside from that the atmosphere was nice, the people behind the counter super nice, set up was unique and worked. As I said for a social call if someone wanted to go I would but other then that its a big nope. read more

We've tried Q many many times. When they first opened, I gave them a 5 star review. We're from Memphis, TN and we know how hard it is to find really good BBQ outside of the south. Fortunately, when we tried Q, they did not leave us disappointed. However,it seems like the quality of their food has steadily decreased over the past 4-5 times we've eaten there. We've experienced things such as overly sweet iced tea, tough meats, and less than desirable service. It's gotten to the point where my husband refuses to go back. So, if you've never tried it, you're in Naperville, and you're really, really carving some BBQ, they'll relieve your craving. read more

The guys and I came here for dinner after an exhaustive trip of shopping at the outlet mall in Aurora. I was not a fan of their sweet tea, but they have some nice brisket and burnt ends. My friend really liked their sausage. But their chicken was dry. I really liked their corn bread because it had a nice balance. If I'm ever in the area, I would definitely come back for their sliced brisket and burnt ends. Everything drenched with their spicy Texas sauce? Score! read more

This place has never disappointed me. You can smell the delicious smoke as you approach the place and, when you get inside, you're treated to the intense aromas of some high-quality BBQ. My favorite thing on the menu is the burnt ends brisket. It has such rich flavor and the BBQ sauces enhance the dish with the sweet tang. The fries and hush puppies give a nice salty crunch. read more

Excellent BBQ. Best hush puppies I've ever had. Service was great! Very friendly staff. Line was short and we didn't wait long for our food. Generous portions of food. Their spicy Brussels Sprouts. Some of the best BBQ I've had in the area and I consider myself a BBQ Snob. IMO the order is: Ribs - Best!, Pulled Pork - 2nd Best, Brisket - 3rd Best. Sauces are great the Mustard and Vinegar sauces are really good and the Memphis style sweet is awesome. Sides are good but the slaw is nothing special. This place is definitely worth checking out if you love BBQ. Food comes out quick which is a plus. read more

Q-BBQ - Ribs plus Pulled Pork Combo - sublime - Barbeque Near Me - Naperville, Illinois

Great comfort food, and the sides particularly stand out. I got the burnt ends plate, with the 2 sides and hush puppies that come with it. I got the cornbread and baked beans sides. The price for a plate is a little up there, but I comfortably split it between two people thanks to the hefty portion sizes. The burnt ends-- They were okay. The meat itself was really tough and dry, and the little cubes of meat had lots of little chunks of fat. Not to my taste, but the bbq sauces they had on hand were great. The bbq sauce ended up smothering the meat taste, which was okay since the sauces were great (just important if you care about the meat's flavor to come through). Baked beans-- Delicious, warm, and hearty. I'd definitely come back for the baked beans. Cornbread-- A little dry, but who doesn't love cornbread? It still hit the spot and I'd get it again (but I'm also a sucker for cornbread). read more

Good, I really liked the food and they had a nice store environment. I'm definitely coming back!

Drove up from Bloomington, IL to go to Ikea in Bolingbrook ... after 3 hours we had worked up a big appetite. As always I was craving BBQ. So went on Yelp to find a spot. After reading the reviews we settled on Q. Although it was the Memorial Day weekend parking was easy and the place wasn't crowded. We ordered the Papa Q platter (10 meats) for $19.99 (special) and a Burn End meal (there was 3 of us however my 14 son eats enough for 2). The food was great, I was worried about the sauce being on everything but it was good. Well needless to say we brought food home and it was still just as good later. Additional note, customer service was great and they were very helpful being it was our first time there. Will definitely be back!!! read more

I ordered the 3-meat platter. The first thing I noticed is there was only sauce on the brisket. They let the meat stand on its own and let you add whatever sauces you choose, which is the way BBQ should be. The smoked chicken wings were some of the best I've had in a while. They're covered in BBQ spices and since they're not fried, there isn't a ton of grease on them. The Texas spicy sauce goes perfect on these. I liked the burnt ends a lot, they had a very intense smoke flavor to them. The brisket was ok, it was moist, but I felt it lacked flavor or seasoning. I also added a taste of turkey, I added some Memphis sweet sauce and it may have been the highlight of the meal. I can't recommend this one enough. For sides, the beans were ok, there was a little too much liquid though. I really enjoyed the cornbread, it's a pretty good size and just crumbles. Great texture to this. I appreciate that they have all their homemade sauces at the table and my favorite is probably the Memphis sweet. The mustard had a little too much of a Dijon taste for my liking. Also, they have a jar of homemade sliced pickles at the condiment stand. Major props for this! I liked the feel of the place, lots of wood, spice jars, it really made me feel like I was in an earthy, homey type of joint. And even though it's not a waitstaff restaurant, I noticed one of the staff workers taking the time to check on each table. That goes a long way for service. I have had very bad BBQ in Chicagoland, but Q is the best I've had in the burbs. I definitely would return. That said, I think I'd still take Smoque downtown if I had my choice. read more

Brunette with a sleeve full of tattoos is very rude. I made an online order for me and my team here at Naperville like we usually do get lunch from here every other day. I ordered because I didn't have my card physically on me. When picking up I asked her for 2 ranch and she proceeded to make me go back in line to check out. She went behind the registers and told her associate to ring me out for 1.49 for both ranch before even getting to me. I explained there's never been an option for ranch, mind you this wasn't the first time coming here. they've always given us ranch for no additional cost. I asked her politely to show me how to order the ranch, she did not want and kept saying it's policy policy policy and she had never seen their online website but wouldn't want to show me until I asked 3 times and got on her phone. My question is how are you not going to know your job. Don't come here food is delicious but service people are not it. The cooks are amazing probably the nicest people out of the place read more

If you want BBQ in heaps...look no further. This place has you covered. I ordered the Papa-Q platter and received enough food for two meals. Which makes sense for the cost. It's meant to feed two people. The sauces were amazing and the meat was tender. The staff was also very friendly. I wasn't a big fan of the coleslaw and parking was a bit of an issue. So plan to arrive early. Otherwise you will not regret coming here for BBQ! read more

This is an update to the review I posted on 9/9/2012. I have to admit, this place has grown on me. I said that I wasn't sure if my feelings were based on the expectations...they were. I believe that this is probably the best BBQ place I know of in the Naperville area right now. My order has become the same. Pulled pork sandwich with fries and a taste of the sausage. The pulled pork is always great. The sausage is always a nice change from anything I normally eat. The fries are some of the best of any restaurant I've been to. I highly recommend the fires with the sweet table sauce. I will say that the brisket chili was a disappointment. Then again, I'm not really a fan of their brisket in general so I shouldn't have been to surprised. Overall, I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a good pulled pork sandwich. read more

Q-BBQ - Batman visited the washroom... - Barbeque Near Me - Naperville, Illinois

First time at any Q-BBQ and it didn't disappoint. Being from Virginia and having lived in Dallas for several years, it was nice to find a place that had a wide selection of BBQ styles. I ordered the burnt ends platter with cole slaw and their summer cucumber salad special. The cucumber salad was great. A unique take on the old summer-time standby. The cole slaw, however, tasted like it was a day or two old. It was still crunchy and looked good, but it had that old cabbage taste. The burnt ends were over sauced for my liking and there were more tough pieces than tender/flavorful (fatty ) pieces. At times, it felt more like jerky that I was eating. Didn't take away a star since this is just my take on the BBQ. It was still tasty although the texture was somewhat tough. My kids shared the kids ribs (4 ribs in all) with fries. The fries came heavily seasoned with salt and pepper. My youngest couldn't handle it and I'd say fries are his favorite food. They were overly seasoned for my taste as well. But now I know and in the future I may ask them to take it easy. The ribs on their plate were superb. Think I'll be getting ribs next time. Again, they were a tad over sauced - I scraped a bunch off just so I could get to the rib without getting a sauce-stache. Really wast that big a deal. I'd say a BBQ restaurant would be tough to run since everyone has their favorite style. This place has all the options and delivers in a family friendly environment. Will be back! read more

I ordered 3 pulled pork sandwiches for me and my friends and the guy at the front repeated what I ordered he stated I was paying for 3 pulled pork SANDWICHES. When our food came out, they came out with 2 servings of only pork with no buns and 1 serving with the sandwich. The sandwich is $7.50 and the only pulled pork is $9.99. After that, we asked for buns because that is what we ordered. They made us pay an extra $3.26 cents for the buns and didn't give us free buns OR money back from giving us the wrong thing. They charged us with the only pulled pork which made us pay an extra $8.50. Also on the side, they serve free hunchpuppies, and one of them had a bite in it. read more

I've been here twice so far and I was pleased both times. The atmosphere is really nice and the staff are friendly. The food is on the more expensive side but they give you really big portions so you get your moneys worth. Having lived in North Carolina for about 5 years, I was excited to eat their Carolina pulled pork platter. It came with a huge amount of pork and two sides. I chose the green beans which were nothing too special, and the mac and cheese which had an added touch of cheeze-its making it even better. The Carolina sauce however was not the same. It is supposed to be vinegar based but this is more on the think side in my opinion. The second time my wife and I split a whole rack of ribs which were amazing. They have a little condiment area too with homemade pickles that are awesome. Every table also has all of their sauces that you can add to your plate so its fun to try them all. The wait for your food is pretty short also which is a plus. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for some good BBQ. read more

Nothing to write home about. We ordered the q platter and while it came with a decent amount of food, I felt that the flavors of the meats were overpowered by the sweet seasonings. We were shopping nearby and Q-BBQ was in walking distance from where we parked. We ordered Papa Q's platter which had a small portion of all of their meats and two sides for $30 which was advertised as a meal for two. There must have been 10 different meats! It seemed like the best value as two decent individual meals would've set us back $30 anyways. The BBQ was decent and we found a few selections to be exceptionally tasty. The mac and cheese side was interesting, with crushed Cheez-its on top. I ate most of it. The meal size did not disappoint. We took half of it home! The sauce options were pretty good, and the staff was very friendly. The flavors in the BBQ didn't blow us away but it was fast service and a good value for lunch. read more

Mm came here to enjoy some bbq with my girl while we were in Naperville. Upon going in it was decently filled and the servers came right to is asking dining or take and we took our order swiftly. The service I considered at that point was nice and professional for most business and they seem to have a decent amount of space as well. I ordered the Papa Q platter which was a pretty decent size and choice if you want to share with someone. Gave you the options of trying all their meats. What disappoint me was one of the sides. The mac-q-roni was indeed a disappointment I was hoping with a variation of the name would give more than just adding cheez-it crumble on top. But the mash potato was superb. Surprised by how good the BBQ was. Ribs are lean and coated with a deliciously flavorful dry rub - no sauce needed. This is officially a go to spot for my husband and I when craving local BBQ. Every time I've been, I've never had a bad experience. The service is great, the ambience is casual & the food is excellent! I usually like to order the 1 meat plates which come with 2 sides & the best hush puppies I've ever had. If you're really hungry go for the 2 meats or even 3 meat plates! Get the whole experience right? I would highly recommend their Memphis wings, pulled pork and turkey breast. Their Mac n cheese is wonderful and has like a "cheez-it" topping which is genius & the mashed potatoes taste homemade. I personally didn't think their smoked brisket was amazing as it seemed quite dry to me even with the sauce-I like tender & flavorful brisket I guess. They have a small variety of different sauces to choose from for your meats at the tables & I like them all. Another thing to love about Q is they have GOOD Southern Sweet Tea! I look forward to exploring more of their menu in the near future. I would highly recommend this place to all my friends & family looking for a good & clean BBQ spot.
