Went for the first time with my kids simply because it was convenient and we loved it! They were really patient with us and helped us with the menu options, and the food was quick and hot and delicious. You order at the counter and they bring it to you, but they are quick to keep your table clean and get you anything you need, including a box for leftovers (which we needed because the burger was huge!). I have mixed feelings about this place based on my initial visit. I ordered a burger without bacon but after I ate half of it, I saw a piece of bacon. My first time here after seeing it every time I go to Nordstrom Rac. Sorry you can't see my onions and cheese. The burger was seasoned and onions came with a sprinkle of something, a green seasoning. This is the 2nd time I have tried Epic Buger, and they are anything but epic. Burgers are 5/10 "at best" ("5 guys" have the best burgers, but you have to pay a pretty price), fries are 3/10 (fried in canola oil and really tasteless, which is a poison - say NO to seed oils.) The hot dog was a 2/10, not a chicago dog at all, and they put giardana peppers instead of sport peppers? no Celery salt, very tasteless. Sloppy food, not worth it at all. I am absolutely shocked at the fact this place has a single good review. I ordered through uber eats with priority, so timing was not the issue on this one. Quite literally the ONLY thing that I altered on my burger, was no tomatoes. They gave me a burger with a fat ass tomato on it. Mistakes happen so whatever I took it off. After my first 2 bites I could tell this burger was absolute dog shit. I don't write reviews frequently but boy did this place earn it. I will go as far as to say it is the worst burger I've had in my entire life. I'd rather eat the fake meat they serve at McDonald's or an elementary school lunch line than whatever the fuck was between those buns. Again I am baffled that they are even in business as the burger was flat out atrocious, and tasted like what swamp ass smells like. There is nothing fast service about this restaurant and the only thing that was Epic were their prices. First we waited in line over 10 minutes before ordering and there were only 2-3 people ahead of us. We then had to wait about 25 minutes for our food to arrive to our table. I ordered the Epic chicken sandwich and had them add cheese and bacon, they charged me $1.99 for less than one slice of bacon(see photo). Prices are whack, $46 for two chicken sandwiches, two fries, one soft drink and a kids cheeseburger meal. The food did taste good but I can't see myself ever returning based on a combination of the painfully slow service and high prices. read more

We were fortunate enough to visit the new Naperville location of Epic Burger on opening day. We've been to Epic Burger in Chicago, but it's been a couple years. This is part of a larger plaza, so there's ample parking in front of or behind the building. There are front and rear entrances. The interior looks nice and clean (for now). It's not super spacious, but not terrible either. The menu is simple enough, with a selection of burgers, chicken sandwiches, turkey sandwiches, fries, and milkshakes. NOTE: they verbally confirmed the beef and chicken are halal, but the bacon is not halal (i.e. it's pork bacon, not beef bacon). If you eat halal only, eat here with caution. We ordered a Cowboy Burger minus the bacon, a Honey Hot Chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, and fries. The Cowboy Burger was decent, but the bun had a bit too much presence. I feel like Bumper 2 Burger gets the bun size right, which helps balance out the carbs with the beef patty's protein. If I had to choose, I'd say I like the burgers better at Bumper 2 Burger. The Honey Hot Chicken sandwich was excellent. The honey sauce gave it a little bit of spice and a little bit of tanginess. The flavors worked together well. It was messy to eat, though. I prefer this chicken sandwich to the one at Bumper 2 Burger. The chicken tenders were decent. My son seemed to enjoy those. The fries were also good; nice and crispy without being too thick or thin. I had such high hopes for this place; all the photos looked so great online! The restaurant was very clean and bright, the employees were friendly and helpful with the menu as it was our first time, but really we came for the food and that was where things went south. I got the Farmhouse Burger: Black Angus beef, egg, bacon, pepper jack, lettuce, tomato, pickle, grilled onion, Epic sauce, served on a toasted brioche bun. Surely that lineup is going to be amazing right? Beef was smashed to oblivion (I don't understand the appeal of a smashed burger) and despite all those ingredients, all I tasted was the Epic sauce. Which means the other ingredients were garbage quality and had no flavor. I couldn't even detect the pepper jack. So much sauce everything slid out when I tried to pick it up. There was no attempt made by this burger to stay in a burger form. Garlic and parm fries were ok, but they were gloppy and we didn't finish them. My Farmhouse Burger was indeed epic in both taste & presentation! I requested the egg be sunny side up & it was! A generous amount of crispy, not wiggly bacon also topped a nicely seasoned burger. My husband enjoyed the Cowboy Burger, which he also found to be epic in its deliciousness. The regular style fries we both got were crispy on the outside, yet pleasantly soft on the inside. The chocolate shakes were both chocolatey & thick! Employees were very nice, as well as Managers Jonathan & Isidro who took exceptional care in making sure our meal was perfect! I just had to pop in here and mention how friendly the staff member I just encountered was. The young man's name was Zoil, we interacted through the drive through. He had such a sweet and upbeat attitude, and made sure we got exactly what we'd wanted with all of the options they had available. The build your own burger option is quite customizable with different choices of proteins, bread type and toppings, and although we'd gone through the drive thru, you could tell how cute the atmosphere of the restaurant's interior was through the window. Epic has been open for a few months now at this location and I had high hopes for a decent burger joint. Unfortunately it was an Epic FAIL! Burger patty has zero flavor tastes like plain cooked ground beef. The pickles are thick and bland and the bun at the bottom of most brioche buns I've tasted elsewhere.
