This is a great spot and for the size of the bowls and generous toppings it's somewhere I'll definitely return to for a treat but I was just a little disappointed by one thing. Since the juices are juiced fresh I asked if the bowls are also blended fresh because the frozen acai bowl places aren't my thing and while this one is less sorbet-ish I was told they're blended fresh but then never even heard a blender so I looked at the girl making my bowl and realized there's a freezer I assume the base was gotten out of and the texture is slightly icy. The staff was nice, but a bit clueless and not great at answering any questions about the product. I was only asking since it was my first visit and if there was any fun facts about the business, I like including it in my review. If you like bitter tasting tea flavors, you would like this. It was like drinking over seeped tea without any of the milk. I refrigerated this drink and drank it later on so even after the ice melted down, that tea was still strong and bitter. I wasn't a fan. I have really complicated torn feelings for Pulp Juice Bar. I loved one drink but that was pricey. I can do without the other... Also wasn't too happy about Paying with a debit card and the screen that asks if you want to put a tip is behind the counter and the employee asks you if you want to add a tip. The young lady was very informative on the menu and was helpful and deciding what juice to try. It's made on the spot. It wasn't pre-made or anything like that which I do enjoy. And it was delicious. The tea itself was alright, it was a bit too sweet for me. I definitely feel like it is a bit overpriced and the tea seemed like it had artificial flavoring. The thai tea was alright as well, nothing to rave about. Now, onto the pouch....It was just a cheap plastic that held the drink. It is not re-usable because the drinks, especially the thai tea, stained the inside of the bag. It also did not hold it's shape after the drink was consumed. The service was not that great, there was only 1 girl working and she took the order, completed the transaction and made the drinks! My wife and I have been coming here maybe 7 or 8 times in the last year. We typically order açaí bowls and a few times they have come with granola in them, even though we have ordered them without granola. We've overlooked it in the past, but the last time it happened I called and said something. Today I wanted one of the bowls again. I put in my order at 1:30 PM, scheduled it to be picked up at 1:45 PM. My wife was late to pick it up and arrived at 2:20, when she arrived it hadn't even been made yet. Once she got it, on the way home, she calls me to tell me there is granola in it, again. I call them again to say something. NOW, they tell me that they all come with granola. It's funny because Granola is a check mark when you build a bowl so any logical person would assume if you don't check it, you wouldn't get it. Apparently not. Great find in OC! I got the Lean Green and was extremely pleased. It's a pretty simple drink as it only contains 3 ingredients, being spinach, pineapple, and apple! The bagged drinks remind me of simpler times in the Philippines LOL but with a hip and healthy twist. I'll definitely be back to try other drinks. The interior is also pleasing to the eye with lots of room to sit down and relax. I even managed to get through 2/3 of my book! Plus they sell scrunchies, another weakness of mine. I ordered the "Orange you Healthy Signiture juice". I was very satisfied with the taste and I definitely enjoyed my drink. I love naturally squeezed juices. I do think the price for my drink was a bit expensive. The size of the pouches felt quite small to me. I am not too sure if it's psychological, but I feel like the juice pouches hold less than the regular size drinks you would get somewhere else, but that could be completely false. I did indeed love my order from here. I will definitely be coming back to try other options. I gave this a 4 star because besides the reusable bag, this place did not feel like anything special.
