I have been a customer here at this location for years. I started at $50 a month for a 5x10 unit and now they want to increase it to $259 a month starting April 2. That's over $3000 a year. My goods aren't even worth that much. They raise their fees it seems every six months. There's virtually no customer service ever, can never get ahold of anyone. Sometimes they have carts sometimes they don't. One elevator works. One time a customer defecated on the floor just outside the elevator. They are offering new customers $81 a month for the same unit I have. I am looking for a new place. There is no loyalty for existing customers. They know it's inconvenient to move so they keep raising prices. read more

The one at 127 S Euclid Ave, in Upland, CA, is probably endemic of all their other locations, but I've never been felt so ripped-off by a company in my life, with them increasing the price every few months not by just a little, but an unconscionable amount. Reading other reviews on other websites confirms my dissatisfaction is not just my own, but hundreds of others, as well. This is not good business; it is only based on the greed of the millionaire owner and the investors of the business, rather than a rational sensibility to their customers. At my earliest convenience, I will fly to California, empty my unit out, and send everything I value to my house in the state of which I now reside. Luckily, my garage will hold whatever I would spend with these thieves in a 5x5 area, and never do business with them, again. I highly recommend that you do the same, or simply never start with their "bait and switch" deal to get you into the unit. This is by far the worst storage facility out there. I choose this place for the move in promotio, first month for $1. well, my first month was $129. I have a 10x10 space inside far from the entrance doors and it was $183. I was there for not even 3 months when they upped my rent to $273 a month!! if you are a day late on paying they will start calling your emergency contact, threatening a lien and charging hundreds of dollars of fees. its seems they purposely get you behind so they can threaten to sell your stuff and take access away from you. I am constantly owing $500 and more on my unit, trying to pay that when my monthly hits adding another almost $300 to what I owe. I'm constantly stuck with these enormously absurd bills and I'm constantly locked out of access my storage unit and I have had 4 liens held over my head and I've only been there 7 and half months!!! And when you have a lien they will send you texts after text telling you your stuff I about to be sold in all caps!! I paid $780 which a lot of that was fees, then. 3 days later another $175 and less then one week after that I have another lien notice and owe almost $500!!!! It's a vicious cycle they purposely put you in to collect these outrageous fees from you because they know you'll pay whatever they say you owe because they remind you that youre about to lose all your stuff!!! My storage is the ONLY one in Southern California that is $273. All the units in the same facility and same specs are $100 and more cheaper then mine. It's WRONG!! the worst mistake I made was thinking I would pay $1 for my first month. And their hours suck!!! They close at 5:00 on the weekends!! I absolutely hate this place and hate that I just paid my storage what seems last month and have to pay $580 to move my stuff out in a week when my place is ready!! GO ELSEWHERE!! You do not want to find out what I am talking about. just choose a different storage facility. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. Terrible fees and constant increases. Access to your own stuff is limited. One of the two elevators is always broken. Aisles are super cramped. Dollies are always jumpy and hard to control. The app for opening the gate and accessing the elevators rarely works right. Would never recommend. read more

After I paid for my storage unit, I went during business hours and nobody was in the office, it took an hour of being on the phone with different representatives to find someone at a neighboring public storage to call the manager because she was lost inside doing who knows what. I had to see a manager to verify my ID, and when I did, she didn't want to let me inside my unit even though I verified my ID and already had the gate code all because one of their idiot employees misspelled one letter in my last name. I think Lisa was her name, she was very unhelpful, she tried to be courteous but seemed like she was bitter or mad about something. She tries to hide it but she seems like a very unhappy person. I received far more help calling their customer service number than from her. It was a waste of time trying to rent a unit from them and now I have to wait another week for the refund. read more

I rented a storage space for over six months and never had a problem. There was great service when I moved my belongings in and excellent service from Lisa when I moved out this past weekend. I initially thought it was a bit pricey but the security here made me feel at ease about my stuff; I wound up forgetting the monthly fees. Just ranting here. My storage payment has recently increased (again) and well I'm kinda peeved. That I pay $230 a month for storage and the carts to help move items around are locked up. So I'm paying good money MONTHLY! And I can't access the carts unless I leave my ID in the front office?! Like most people, I'm on a time crunch and the staff is usually about running around doing their job and making sure everything in order. Why not put a tracker on these carts instead? If stolen, keep the people who have stolen it accountable. Add it to the contracts.. fines.. there's cameras everywhere, it's ridiculous to have to do all these extra steps to access your things and move things around if needed. read more

Just a suggestion, if you could put up a Will Return Sign on the door it will help a lot of customers / tenants. I understand that if there is one person at the desk, they are entitled to a bathroom break or lunch break and may need leave the desk and lock the door. This sign will help out a lot. I actually loved storing my things at PS but had to move out due to the continuous price increases. They raise prices every 6 to 9 months by about $60 each time. They give you one grace period and then your screwed. I've used them for over 10 years and just can't afford to use them anymore. Very clean facilities but unless you have an abundance of funds, it's just not worth it. They need to inform newcomers of the common price increases prior to moving stuff in. read more

This happened a few months ago, but I'm still PISSED and that's why I am writing this review. My unit was burglarized, and Public Storage could care less. I notified the manager (L) that items had been stolen from my unit. I gave them dates as to when the theft likely occurred, the manger (L) said they would look into it. Well more than two weeks later and not a word from them. I went back and spoke to the same manager (L), who apologized and said they would again look into the matter and review their surveillance footage; using the information (dates) I provided. I also gave them descriptions of the property taken; so, they can look for it on their surveillance footage leaving the area/floor of my storage unit, and possibly identify who stole my property. They never got back to me and still not a word from this place saying they did or did not observe anything on their cameras. The manager didn't even know how long their cameras maintained video footage. THIS PLACE SUCKS!!! Public Storage is a billion dollar publicly traded company, certainly they can hire competent people. read more

Prices continually go up and up and up. A good part is the facility is generally pretty clean. Today, though, was infuriating. In theory, we pay less because our unit is the on the second floor. Got to the facility and walked into the lobby and the sign on the key pad for the elevator said "Out of Service" see the manager. So, I walk to the office, through the pedestrian gate and asked what's up. Response: 'Yes, elevator is broken but we have blocked the door to the stairs open.' I asked to be let back through the pedestrian-gate and they say no, you will have to enter your code and go back through the vehicle gate. That is ridiculous. The elevator has been down since yesterday and I am guessing it will not be fixed tomorrow since it is a holiday. This is frankly unacceptable. Luckily for me I did not need to bring anything heavy down - no so much for other people. We cannot be done with PS soon enough. read more

I like Public Storage. I would give them 5 stars, but they only get 3 because they keep raising my rent around $25.00 every 3 to 4 Months. I already down sized several months ago, because of the increases, now they increase my rent again. This has been happening since I rented a unit 2 years ago. Honestly, I've had several storage units at various facilities, and this one by far was the absolute worst! If you want access to your things then I suggest you find a different storage facility. This facility is nice and clean. However, they lock this facility whenever they feel like it. No email, no sign, no call, no heads up. So, when you go to grab something from your unit, you find yourself SOL. This happened to me several times, and pissed me off beyond words. I would rather store my stuff at a rundown hole in the wall storage facility then at this one. At least then you'll always have access to your things. read more

Ever since this location was bought out by Public Storage it has gone downhill. When it was Extra Space everything was so much better. First, they changed their access hours and shortened them. Then their prices went up and continue to do so every so often. Then they removed cart access and have a very limited supply in the office that you have to go request now, they used to have them by the entrance to the building. Recently they made me call in to get access, why my gate code didn't work is anybody's guess, just for the gate to open when I selected gate issues which still didn't tell me why it made me call in. Their website says access to units available till 9 pm but I'm at the facility at 7:58 pm and the building is locked up already. Turns out they now only allow gate access during their office hours. read more

This location is the cleanest public storage that I have ever seen. I used a different location years ago and had to throw all my stuff away due to that location being infested with rats. I never planned on using them again but this location was the best one in the area. I called before coming into the office to rent my unit. I thought I was going to get the $1 for the first month deal but I didn't. Jonh was I. The office and the one to help me with everything. He was extremely friendly and helpful. A little pushy about taking some boxes and tape that I didn't need, but chills once you kindly decline. I give public storage four stars because they are a bit pricey. You honestly don't get what you pay for when it comes to the unit itself. I'm paying $96 (plus the $11+ insurance they force you to have) for a 5x10. My 5x10 isn't really a 5 x 10. It's more like a 4x7 if that. They even placed a fence above your unit to make sure you can't go over. I don't like that they charge you for a unit size and none of them are their actual size. read more

it is impossible to get a hold of these people if you ever have a question. during the 8 months that I utilized a space there, I only saw someone in the office one time, and I went there at least weekly. They are only open from 9am until 6pm, so if you work regular business hours, there is not much you can do. they increased my 10"x20" from $340 to $430 during the time that I was a customer there. in addition to this, they ripped me off for four days, stating that I moved out on the 31st, because it is convenient to them to not have to give me any refund.
