I rented a unit online and had a great experience with the customer service department, however when I arrived to the location to get the keys, girl at the front desk was very rude, and unwelcoming. Although I like the convenience of this location, the online app doesn't always work to open and close the gate. Not sure if this place has horrible reception / wifi but a hassle to get in and out. read more

I received a great welcome first class service over the phone and in person by Ariana Salas/Store Manager. Received a tour on golf cart to see different units in the location and everything was clearly explained with best promotion deal offered. Took less than 7mins to get everything signed, paid, and got my gate codes with lock and keys and all the information was sent to me via email in seconds. I bet I wouldn't have received this awesome deal and fast service anywhere else. I would recommend all to call and talk with Ariana for your storage needs first before checking somewhere else. They totally got our family with a bait and switch. We hit some hard times and had to put cherished items into storage to be sure we could keep them as we transition living arrangements. Smallest unit was a god send at $66/month. Over the course of 3 months, we got everything in, we're paying our bill, and suddenly we get a notice. "Oh hey, we're gonna DOUBLE your monthly fee. Good luck." Flabbergasted, disappointed, sad, frustrated and scared. Can't financially afford this rate raise, and can't afford to move everything again. Shady business practices. read more

Beware of SCAM! They do not tell you that they are giving you a "promotional rate" that is an excuse to jack up the price on you after 3 months. Then they will again raise the price on you at 9 month. They will neglect to mention any of this but have it in the fine print of the lease agreement, which for some reason I cannot access through the email that I was sent. Staff is betty friendly and helpful. They did their best to make sure I had all the info necessary to make my rental agreement as seamless as possible. The unit itself is ok. There could be more adequate lightning in my 10x20 unit, there is only a single bulb which is not sufficient. The unit door is also a bit stiff but that's not easily solved. read more

I went to assess my unit this week to prepare for moving and found four packages of rat poison eaten in my unit that I did not put in there. All of my fabric items are destroyed by rat poop and there are footprints over the wooden furniture. I have to throw away furniture that was one year old when put into storage. Another price increase in less than a year. I'm disgusted. Update upon moving some of the things around: There were two additional packs of poison that the rats must have moved towards the center. I discovered that most of my items were covered in rat urine in addition to feces. I had to hire a junk removal service to take: mattress, box springs, head and foot board, sofa and loveseat, washer and dryer, refrigerator, vacuum, carpet shampooer, Hoover floor mate, clothing, cat tree, dog items, bedding, living room chair, air purifiers, childhood items, and much more. I was hoping to salvage my coffee table but that doesn't appear to be the case. I had already tried to speak to management but will follow up at the request of this post. read more

Today is September 2nd going into September 3rd and I came to my storage to organize some stuff and get some items however when I got to my unit I was greeted by a big red lock that said sealed and I had no way to access my own storage unit. It's after 6:00 so the manager obviously isn't going to help me even though she saw me at the front office looking in the window like I needed some help while she was walking her dogs but she just ignored me and kept on with her dogs. So here I am sitting at the storage and can't do a single thing even though I paid my bill in full yesterday. So now I'm just a little angry because yeah let me try to slack on something or do something late or forget about something it's all bad but a professional business shouldn't forget things like this if someone pays their storage unit rental make sure that they can access their unit I'm extremely unhappy with the situation right now. And I extremely unhappy and the fact that the manager walked right past me while she was walking your dogs and acted as if I didn't exist and he didn't know help even though she saw me sitting there confused and needing to inquire about my unit to someone. Basically like she's off the clock so that's when her customer service ends as well? Just unlock my storage unit I need to get into it and actually I'm going to ask that my unit be discounted for one whole day because I haven't been able to access my unit and actually I should have been able to access it on the first as well so I'm going to need to speak with a corporate manager or something like that because I want my two days refunded that I had paid for that you guys have my storage unit locked. read more

I've resided less than a mile from ESS and had no idea they existed. I hit the honey hole when I saw them listed during a search. This place is a gem, with exceptional customer service, specifically from Ariana and Joe. No spaces meeting my needs were available at the time, but Ariana put me on the wait list. Two days later one was vacant and I was called immediately. All units are ground access; a huge plus. The rates can't be beat; another biggie. When I went there to sign up, Ariana gave me a tour, and expidited the entire process. I was done with everything in 20 minutes.
