So I rented a unit in November and no they just jacked up the price up $40 dollars I don't recommend this place at all

they have raised our rate over $115 we're paying 185 for a unit that we originally got under $100 a and this place is infested with rats. If you want to come find your stuff full of rat feces then you come here if not go anywhere else. read more

This is my 2nd time experience with the company Public Storage. First time was a direct contact since my mom was the one that rented the space. Let me tell you, my experience was extremely amazing. Specifically due to the fact that the rep, named Lisa that worked there, unsure if she's the manager or an associate. If she isn't a manager she darn should be. She gave such excellent customer service. She was so informative, I asked everything and anything I possibly could. She was extremely patient, I initially reserved a smaller space but next day came to realize I needed their larger space and thankfully they had one available. She was so nice and didn't look annoyed when I asked her multiple times to show me all the different spaces and helped me with the lock. Never a time she didn't have a genuine smile. She made me feel important, that my items were valued, and that protected. I haven't had any experience with any other employees there but Lisa is amazing! Thank you for being kind and so helpful. This has been my first time using a storage facility. That being said I always have tons of questions. Lisa is always so helpful and kind. When it came time to start downsizing my unit, she helped provide me detailed info with details and showing me an example of the size differences. This place sucks, expensive, poorly maintained and dirty. Homeless are always inside their units smoking, drinking and music at full blast. There are never any cars available so I bought my own furniture cart that I keep in my unit to use when I have to move items in and out. No one is ever in the office and they never answer the phone. Poor customer service. I went there on Sunday and the elevator kept going down as it's probably leaking, it's dangerous because I found myself having to jump out about 3 feet down. The on-site there gave me the regional managers number and he never answered or called back. To me that's bad customer service. I don't recommend this place, I'll be looking for another facility to move too. read more

The manger James is garbage. The lady's that works there Lisa is good for nothing. I was locked inside for 40 minutes with a child that has Down syndrome and not one of the could check the cameras. James thinks he's important but little does he know he's easily replaceable. This guy needs a realty check! They don't even answer the phone. read more

I've been renting this space for so many years and finally I moved out from this unit because of rat infestation. I don't normally visit my unit until I heard from several people there are rats everywhere in their unit and also urine and feces from their belongings. So I went to visit my place on Feb 2022 and I found rat feces everywhere in my unit. So I informed the manager about it but corporate office did not do anything. Then every month I decided to start moving my stuff and clean my belongings and finally decided to move out in July 2022. Several tenants have moved out already. One tenant showed a picture of 2 dead rat in her unit a size of a cat. BEWARE DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE !!!!!! PUBLIC STORAGE IN MONTCLAIR. read more

i rented storage for 16 months it went from $87 to $197 i been asking why , but nothing i am moving out to mini storage chino and i will be saving 125.00 granted a smaller but i asked if they have increases and they said not for 2 yrs maybe $5 no mandatory insurance no mandatory monthly billing fees when i requested corporate to review they deducted $20 only not satisfied with public storage rip offs read more

hi,on 5/30/20 was my first time in life i reserve a unit in this property and when i arrive so they can gave me info. the girl that it was there wasn't so helpful i arrive and tell her that i have a reservation and her responde was all the details are in your phone! i was really, not instructions to how to get to my unit or nothing, she didn't have the attitude for customer service.... but when i was moving my things from the storage to my new home a angel appear her name jennifer she was so nice and helpful she was walking around the property asking if everything was going working well, and maintaining the property nice and clean. she deserve an extra $$ read more

Laurie is the best!! Got a unit a couple days ago and the reservation/check in was a breeze. Laurie is efficient, courteous, and informative. I got a great unit and have been moving stuff in steadily ever since. She has been there every day so far and always makes sure I'm taken care of. This is my first experience with my own storage unit, and she has been awesome and patient in showing me the ropes. The site has 2 rolling carts available on a first come, first served basis to make moving stuff very easy and straight forward. The unit I had was nice and clean. The past few days have been on the cooler side so inside temp is nice and mellow. Not sure how it gets during the hotter days, though. So far, so good!! read more

Great staff, always courteous and helpful. Storage building is always clean, it's gated and has AC (a plus, especially helpful to protect items against high enclosed heat during summer). Only 4 stars because business hours are too short, which gives you less time to store items and rearrange your stuff if you work during the day. read more

I rented a unit and was never able to access my unit, every time I went here there was nobody in the office. I waited for hours there was never anybody in the office. went there a few more days after that and never anybody in the office. So I wasted 5 days of my life and a lot of money trying to get a unit that I never got access to. Decided not to do business here because if this is the trend then no one will ever help with any problems. Went ahead and canceled my unit without ever getting access to it and decided to go to a different storage unit brand. read more

Great Price but elevator not great and access only until 6pm. Managers are great there, Delia was very friendly and helpful. The air-controlled area in second floor is very clean and always same cool temperature. The annoying thing is that it had a ramp going up to the air-controlled areas which is annoying with the carts. The elevator is a good size but it's old and dirty and shoddy. It is like a big dumbwaiter that you cannot ride so you have to lock up two doors before you can get it to go up or down. And then you have to go up and down the stairs yourself to get the stuff in and out of the elevator. I would get it for the price and maybe location but not the best for ease of loading and unloading if your on the 2nd floor. I needed a bigger unit and closer to my home so I went to the one in Rowland Heights- super nice a full service freight elevator and No Ramps! Plus way more cameras and security in elevator as well. read more

Nobody answers the phone, and it is never guaranteed that someone will actually be on site if you enter during business hours. Also, I moved out of my unit here and I am still receiving a late notice! Terrible service. Terrible communication. I left 2 voicemail and still no callbacks 8 hours later. The onsite manager is not friendly at all, and once you have acquired a unit then all kinds of rules kick in from her from that point on 1.No talking to other storage neighbors. 2.Cant stay in your unit more than 30 minutes, after you have moved in. 3.Your rental rate increases after 6 months, at least 30.00 or more. Mine went from 103.00 to 135.00 in 6 months. 4.No access to bathrooms unless you go to office and get the key, she will even knock at the bathroom door and ask if you are almost done, she did not do to me but I watched her do to a man that was in rest room 5. I tried to help out a new customer with an extra lock that I had to give to them and she told them No, that they could not take the lock from me, so they had to by one for I believe they are like $19.00 6. When you call the district office or corporate office they do nothing at all 7. Gates do not always open at specified times. someone is late. read more

Delia was phenomenal at helping me pick out the perfect unit. I looked everywhere within the Public Storage brand and outside of it yet nobody could outprice her 20'x30' drive-up with a roll up door. Delia always took great care of me and my family for the two years that we were here. I just bought a new house and no longer need the unit but I highly recommend you see Delia and ask her to hook you up. Good customer service and clean units. But the access hours are a joke at this location. When I signed up I had looked at access hours for another location and assumed these would be the same. Most people work during these hours what are they thinking? These hours are just so inconvenient. I'm moving to San Dimas location. I'll need to drive farther but at least I can get into my unit. read more

Laurie was great and informative. My family is new to the area and she was able to give us the skinny on where to shop, eat, and play. On top of that, she was very knowledgeable about the property and different storing options available to us. Delia and Laurie even sang a song with my 2 year old daughter while we were there. Very nice workers here. We were helped by Jasmine. She was helpful and kind. We got a better deal online so I advise to look at the online pricing before entering the office. Anyways, the units here look very clean. They are temperature regulated and well lit. The only down side is that there is only one computer, so if you're in a rush beware. I had a really great experience with this location. My stuff stayed clean and dry over the nearly 2 years I rented a unit. The unit was clean and spacious, and overall a very good value. No problems with security, I felt my stuff was safe. The customer service was great, I primarily worked with Laurie and she was very helpful and answered all my questions. Made a reservation for a 1st floor 5x10 and when I arrived I was told that unit was not available, this was after a call confirming the reservation and move in time. After the move in process was initiated and close to completion she asked if we had a lock which we did a disc lock however in the midst of moving i placed it in a box unsealed which was shoved toward the back of my truck in a truck full of boxes. This was explained to her however she declined to allow us to move stuff in come back and show her the lock as if we would drop our stuff off and leave without locking this unit. This is my things of course I want it locked but I can't unload my truck in the parking lot and load it back up simply because she's unable to budge to me this is just a lack of customer service and the intent to force you to purchase their overpriced lock. Had she allowed me to start unloading I would have either came to the box with the lock and shown her it or realized I didn't bring one and purchase hers from the office. Either way a happy customer but this I guess was of no consequence to her. It's ok found another unit around the corner which helped me and all is well. I get policy and procedures but sometimes you need to understand specially in moving situations people don't have the time or patience to appease you and although this is not your fault being a little more accommodating would have been a tremendous aid and this would have been a positive experience.
