So I came into the storage to rent out a storage after calling them and after my rate increased at extra space Storage by almost triple after speaking with the manager she was polite and rarely understanding of my situation although when I asked her if my storage rate was going to increase she could not give me a straightforward answer she continue to say that it was going to increase but she did not know when "which I think is a lie I think they know when it's going to increase" but they do this in order to get your business now the storage is conveniently located around the corner from my apartment and it is open from 6 AM to 10 PM every day which I do like although there is multiple homeless on my side of the unit sometimes they do have their stuff out blocking the street to drive through although they do not bother me God knows what they're doing in their storage. If you're going to get a storage here just be aware that your rate is going to increase by double within a matter of 4 months. read more

DO NOT ENTRUST YOUR THINGS WITH THIS FACILITY! If you do choose to rent here, BUY EXTRA INSURANCE TO COVER YOUR CONTENTS! Hard lesson learned: The office service staff were good here, except they neglected to mention the extra insurance the company forces you to buy does NOT cover contents. That is the only redeeming feedback. After nearly a year of paying an exhorbedant amount to store my belongings, I moved out only to find that my unit had been burglarized. The walls of the unit did not go to the ceiling, which made it so someone could crawl over and help themselves. Filing the claim with the SmartStop assigned insurance company was a waste of time. They don't cover your belongings in the case of burglary, even with a police report. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more for an indoor, SECURE, storage company. read more

This is a crooked company. I rented a unit in 2017, came a year later to find that the padlock on my unit was changed. They did not find any record of it in a computer system. They cut the lock, all the boxes fell on me. Obviously someone tampered with my stuff. The content was damaged. They referred me to the insurance company, Justforselfstorage. There was always a message, nobody ever called me back. It was a scam, it was set up just to charge me for insurance, but essentially it was the same pocket with Smartstop. I am suing them in small claim court now. read more

I would leave no stars. I was here for about four years. It was well for the first three. Besides it being extremely dirty, not dusty, actual dirt!!!! The last year someone moved in with food or something and brought mice with them. We fist noticed mice poop EVERYWHERE. When we mentioned it to them they just said that it was lizards. A couple of months later it got worse. So we took pictures and mentioned it again. Same thing it's NOT mice. I went in again a week later and said you need to do something. They said others were complaining to. It's lizards and we can't get ahold of our pest company. Why did they let it get worse!!!! Next is when it really is bad. Nobody believed or wanted to check it out. That is why I'm putting up the proof. The next time I went in I found a dead mouse body decaying in the door jam. Then I saw a live mouse running around my storage container!!!! They didn't do anything except for say well when it's dead let me know and I'll sweep it up. They then after four years FINALLY put in the pest food packet killer. Of course after the damage has been done. When I cleaned out the shed I found a chewed hole from the neighbors. I'm not able to go through the insurance. Because they make sure it's a hassle. So I'm not able to get reimbursed for any other damage that has been done. And they didn't do anything to apologize for the circumstance or try to make it right. read more

Awesome security system and hands on Management, they don't skip a beat. These units are all drive up/outdoor but I had zero issues with my things, no damage or rodents/bugs. Been at this facility for a year now and so far it has been a very good experience. Location is on a busy street easy to spot and surrounded by many stores which you can just go across the street to grab something eat. The facility is very clean and well taken care of. The manager Kim is very nice and professional. Always willing to help if needed. I've notice that she is always cleaning inside and outside of the facility making sure everything is up to par. That is good to see that the staff takes pride in their work and keeping the facility well maintained. This facility is definitely a go to spot if your looking for a storage space. read more

Hello SmartStop management, in the few years I've seen the change of names, on-site management change and now again to back SmartStop. From theft to vandalism to transients living in the units , there's been big changes and for the positive. I met Amanda today as I was there and noticed something I've never seen anyone do and that was tugging on the locks and cleaning as she went from unit to unit row by row. I've had to give her praise for her work ethic and commitment to her job, the location, the companies standards and not to mention the security of each individual unit. I think I've been doing business at this location now 5 years and have never seen anyone pull on them locks. My hat off to Amanda on this hot day (97 degree @ 1:15pm). I want to say I've had a very bad week and it's only Tuesday. I was calling around to see where I can find a storage unit with very minimum down payment because of my situation. I called the number that came up on google for the storage location. The customer service representative that helped me on the phone was kind, caring and very helpful. I was helped so well that it felt like he actually cared about my situation and wanted to help me. The manager Kim is awesome!!!! She definitely knows the true meaning of what customer service is really about! She welcomed me, she was friendly, kind, nice,helpful and had a smile the entire time. I told her my situation and was very caring. She is wonderful employee and a humble woman. She definitely deserves to be recognized for her work ethic and great customer skills!
