Issue #1 - If i could give a zero I would. Staff is unprofessional and rude. First issue I have is this place completely closes down when employees go to lunch. Then employees strolls back in sees us waiting outside and doesn't even acknowledge the fact that they've been gone. (Hello, thank you for waiting, come on in). We had to inch in the door and make sure it was okay seemed like we were disrupting a fabulous fast food lunch. What company of this magnitude closes doors for lunch? Meanwhile someone else too lazy to help sits in the back office locked up to avoid having to help. Issue #2- 10 minutes after signing the contract and trying to load things into the unit we discovered so much trash in the facility and in the elevator we didn't have enough space to take up our items. The rude staff complained to me that she was by herself so not sure how much cleaning she can do. Not my problem you are understaffed. Issue #3 Despite the snarky attitude of the staff, they shut the elevator down on us so we couldn't load our items upstairs. Mind you we made it inside the facility before closing and they shut the elevator down causing us to have to reload and come back next day. No one advised us of this during signing the contract. Issue #4 Two days after we last entered the unit we get a call that we were being charged for trash clean up. Are you kidding me? After walking into this dump, complaining about the trash within the first 10 minutes you then charge us for trashing the place? Why would we take the trouble of moving things into this place and dumping it at move in? I wouldn't have lifted a heavy mattress up the 2nd floor if i didnt want it. Ppl dont bring things upstairs to dump it!!! I don't need to pay public storage to dump something, its free! Issue #5 - A "Shaina" was suppose to call us regarding this issue (she's some type of area manager) she never did. Poor follow up from upper management when there's issues with this place. Issue #6 - I agree with everyone else on the elevator issue. The first day we came the elevator was broken so they expect people to use stairs instead of offering ground floor units to soften the inconvenience. They have carts you can also borrow from the office but when I asked for one I got scolded that if I borrowed I must bring it back to the office (I guess since the staff is too lazy to go get the carts on the property). Then they lock up the carts which makes it a big inconvienence to borrow one if you already inside the property. This is like saying "After you do grocery shopping it's not good enough to put the cart outside where the carts go, you need to walk it back in the store" This place is ruthless. There's other storage facilities near by, please consider before you waste time with unprofessional people. You might end up with a headache, stolen items, or even fraudulent charges like me!! read more

They don't have great accessibility hours, the customer service agents are rude and ghetto and honestly overpriced. I truly wish I chose any other company because this has been a horrible experience from start to finish. !!!!!Avoid storing your stuff here at all costs!!!!! Pros: it's right off the freeway. Cons: bum encampment means this place is the first stop for homeless people to break into. Pictures shown are when I recently started storing my stuff here, not long, after my unit was broken into. I received a phone call with no message about what was going on. When I arrived (a day later) there was people's belongings from their broken in units strewn about. The people working here didn't call the police whatsoever and claimed it wasn't their responsibility!! On top of that there was feces (presumably human) in the stairwell. This place is dirty, dingy, and just outright disgusting at times. Shame on the owner and the management who clearly only care whether or not they get money and you are out of the facility before 6:30. this is my dad's storage locale. however, i've been trusted with it's care as well as its' populating. i move things in and out of here almost every month. the access points are easy. the location right off the freeway is very convenient. the ladies that work here are really quite friendly. they even remember me when i come in to pay the bill every month. the building is always clean and the lights always work. also always smells like lysol. carts are readily available for usage with yoru DL. oh yeah, don't get this location confused with the one further north on Century. we had one there too, but, that one was a little more shady with all the homeless walking around and busier being next to a gas station and the airport traffic. read more

This is the worst place! My stuff got stolen!! I have a police report to prove it!!! Even the cops told me that they get called in on a weekly basis! Not only did my stuff get stolen but I was told that they pro rate- it's a lie to get you to rent a space, When I asked what my prorate amount was , they told me that the policy changed two months ago, they tell you one thing and make you sign something else, misleading!! Stolen items! Do not buy their own lock. I personally think it's an inside job of someone can open my unit without breaking the lock. I have not yet filed a formal complaint with the manager. Basically I don't think they will care or can do anything at this point. Fortunately my items were not big ticket stuff but it's roughly $500 of personal items such as purses/belts/suitcase filled with soap and toothpaste to be mailed to family in another country. The lady at the desk warned from the beginning to get my storage insured. People around my unit also warned but now I believe those other customers. Disappointed and upset. read more

How hard is it to staff, with at least one person, a giant self storage facility? Like every time in the past two years, I arrived only to find that the office was closed with a "Be back at X:XX" placard on the door. Today, I arrived at 2:30 and the sign indicated that they would be back at 3:00. Rather than wait so that I could get a cart, I made three trips by hand, wrecking my back in the process. I dropped off my load at home and returned for the second, arriving at 3:15. What did I find? Rather than an open office, the sign had been changed to 3:45. The windows are all heavily tinted and there is no way to see inside, but I'll bet you any mount of money that the employees (i.e. people who are paid to assist customers) locked the door so they could lazily sit behind the desk and play their game of Candy Crush. Zero customer service. Avoid this place (and all PS facilities) at all costs. read more

Just closed my acct after two years and ran into one of the most helpful people in their front office. I was on my way to Budget to rent a small truck to move a sofa and the off-duty employee offered to find a measuring tape to see how to fit it in my vehicle. He saved me a rental and time. Excellent storage facility, safe and secure, clean, with friendly staff willing to help in all areas of storage.

Let me start with saying that this location was helpful in the beginning and seemed like a personable experience. I later realized that this is not the place to store your valuable belongings. I haven't visited my storage unit since November of 2016 and recently went and checked on my unit to grab my stuff and opened it with the surprise of $3500+ worth of bicycles and other various items missing. My unit had been ransacked. The lock was still on it and that was very confusing to me how my lock could still be on it, yet I was emptied out of some very nice things and the door was closed and locked as if all was normal. The manager could care less that I had been robbed and simply said call the police and that was all she had to say to me. The south LA Sheriff proceeded to show me just how simple and unsecured the unit actually was and that you didn't even need to remove the lock to get in the unit. He was able to pry with his bare hands and open my unit and then was able to close it back by prying. A small kid with a pry bar could of easily done this...The fishy part to me is that there is no cameras on site or in the building, only on the perimeter of the building. What is also fishy to me is that each person has an individualized code to get in and out of the property and to get to your said floor, which leads me to think that they know when the last time you showed up was. Could be coincidence but still fishy. If you want your "SECURE" unit to be secure, don't use this place. I am beyond pissed and upset with the professionalism of this place and how they have handled the situation. Thankfully I have insurance but that doesn't replace the feeling of being violated and treated poorly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING YOUR STUFF ELSEWHERE IF YOU WANT TO STILL OWN IT!!!!!! After reading several reviews, I can see that the elevator is broken a lot. We have been moving in and one of the two elevators was not working for 2 days in a row. The first day we were trapped inside for about 10 minutes. Pushed button for floor 3, took us to floor 4, pushed 3 again, took us to floor one, then did not move or open doors for 10 minutes. Called the office, the guy came and somehow we finally got to our floor and then down again. Then we switched elevators. Now all the unit owners are fighting for use of the elevator. Things got ugly due to some very aggressive men who bullied everyone else and hogged the elevator. He was screaming, using profanity and in general causing everyone else grief. What a truly horrible experience. And did I mention the homeless guy inside his unit on the 3rd floor smoking a cigarette and trying to sleep in there. Why has he not been kicked out for breaking rules? I reported it to the front desk and she went to talk to him. I could tell this area was sketchy by how slowly all the police cars are driving by. I mean, I am glad they are patrolling there, but do I want my stuff there? I will be moving out as soon as I find the time and another spot. Truly awful. Pay more for a better physical area if you can. The facility is clean and well lit, too bad the location is bad. I will say the employees were very nice and helpful the 2 days we were there. But apparantly that is not always the case according to other reviews. I am afraid for the safety of the employees there. I tried to get through to the corporate offices to no avail. If I could give this location a ZERO I would! I've been a customer for two years now. The first year was okay. I was paying about $75 a month however exactly after one year Public Storage raised the rent exponentially every few months. It was so ridiculous and unaffordable. This company should be ashamed of themselves. They should not be allowed to raise the rent to anything they want MULTIPLE TIMES A YEAR after your contract ends and it becomes month to month! I could understand a certain percentage once a year. Not here!!!! It is almost two years today and the rent is $152.00 A MONTH!!! Thank God I moved my things today! They also made it almost impossible to close my account. On top of all of this they've had multiple break-ins at this location. They've had the most disgusting roach infestation I have ever seen. Roaches are everywhere including the elevator lights. It's a health hazard to say the least! Last but not least they told me they would pro-rate the rent based on the date I moved out. Low and behold they did not give me a credit. Yet I have to pay for the full month on the 1st but if I move out during that month I don't get a credit?? I truly hate this location and will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN and neither should you!!! You've been warned. read more

Location is good and the facility itself is very clean, so why the negative review? Customer service. I just returned from the facility and after trading my license for a cart (there are only three for a giant facility, but that's a complaint for another day) I loaded up the cart and made my way to the elevator. The only problem is that the elevator closest to the unit was out of service. I understand that things happen, but don't you think the the front desk staff could have had the common courtesy to inform me of that fact BEFORE I unloaded my car? Instead, I had to walk my cart all the way around the building (in the rain) to access the other elevator. It would have been so simple for the staff at the front desk to let me know ahead of time. The icing on the cake? After getting my stuff put away, I was surprised to learn the the exit gate was also out of order. Understand that the distance from that gate to the front desk (cart return) is about 20 yards, BUT I had to walk the cart back around the entire building (~300 yards) in order to return it and then walk the same 300 yards back to my car. Again, don't you think common courtesy would dictate that the front desk give a little heads up? Maybe leave that gate open but physically monitored (there were two women working at the time)? The employees working were so disinterested and non-apologetic, I was floored. I only access my unit a couple of times a year but always seem to run into some sort of customer service issue when I'm there. At this point, I'll find another self storage facility, even if it costs me more money. read more

I rented the smallest space for just over a year for which the billing is set up for payment one month in advance. There were times the entry gate would not allow access and I'd have to wait for the office to open. I found it irritating to get collection calls as soon as my advance payment was not received as well as threats of a lien. when it was only a couple weeks late. they started charging me for insurance that I never asked for after the first year. Management here is too focused on unnecessarily aggressive collection of dues and poor customer service. read more

Public storage has lost me as a customer for life because of this location and one employee who's name starts with a Y. She will force you to buy a $18 lock and give her your social security number or make you a deal to do one or the other to rent the unit. I was shocked since I don't have to do either of these to rent a unit. She had my driver's license and all my information and I got this strong feeling she is doing something illegal with peoples social security numbers. Public Storage policy online says you don't have to buy a lock from them at this location nor do you have to give your SS #. I called the main number while there with her and she got very defensive and angry. I asked for her to erase my information on the computer and she refused and called the cops on me! I did absolutely nothing, did not even raise my voice. It was easy to see this lady was crooked in the mind and was defending whatever scam she was running. Absolutely insane experience. I went to another storage place and signed up with no issues. AVOID public storage at all cost! read more

I will never use public storage again. The staff and customer service was not great. When I walked in one of the employees was sitting on a table and one of the staff assisted a customer before myself when I was in the office prior to them. Also attempted to move my items in the unit attempted to use the elevator my code did not work. I informed the manager he told me because it was 6'o clock the elevators does not work. I informed him I attempted to use the elevators before it was 6'o'clock. He continued to say it's because its after hours. I returned this morning at 815 and tried to use the elevator again and the same issue is happening. I know have to wait until the office open to let them know the same issue I told them yesterday is still occurring. This is a complete inconvenience. I am totally unhappy with the service received and customer service received. If they would have confirmed the information given to me was correct before leaving the facility. I also called customer dry ice who couldn't assist me and informed me I can not receive a refund. I filed a complaint and the district manager is supposed to give me a call since clearly the property manager refused to assist me yesterday when I told him about my code not working.
