Inconsistent pricing and misleading staff here has left a poor taste in my mouth. Been here not even a year and feel like my rate has changed 3 times now. Staff can't give me honest answers on why or even a resolution to help my finances when this storage was in the budget at the start and now is basically another car payment. Oh and we got plenty of homeless sleeping in units / on site so that's awesome. Donating a lot of stuff to charity and just gonna make room in my garage since this "good deal" has become a big nightmare read more

I'm always concerned when renting a unit such as will other tenants be safe/responsible with their items, will weather/mother nature has its way, etc. Nancy was there and made me feel at ease. I walked in looking for a particular unit and Nancy was very attentive to my needs and concerns. I let her know that any of the available 5x5 units would work for me and she helped me with just that. Upon checking that initial unit, I notice there was a pole running through the unit and needed all the space I could get. Guess who helped me.. Nancy . She accommodated me to another unit that didn't feature any obstructions and was able to fit all my belongings in there. I truly want to shout her out as GREAT customer service can be hard to come by and Nancy's customer service should be appreciated! Business hours are until 10 pm (the day I went) and they tweaked the hours and it was an extreme inconvenience. The gate broke down and when I arrived to move out of the unit at 5:30 they told me they close early at 6 becuase of this. I had to hustle to get everything out in 30 minutes. I had someone come to help and they started closing the gate and I asked them to keep it open and they asked how long they would be and looked like I was inconveniencing them. The facilities are clean but the employees here can make up closing hours inconveniencing you. Not a good look and next time I need a storage unit, I'll look to a more dependable place who does not change their business hours. read more

The fire at Extra Space Storage Manchester Ave. in LA (referenced by Maxx D. below) triggered the sprinkler system that poured water through the facility and caused extensive damage to the building and many stored belongings. The only way to check one's unit was by booking a half-hour appointment online. My husband waited more than FIVE HOURS at the facility to be accompanied by Serve-Pro disaster management employees who would determine if our stored items needed to be trashed (immediately), removed (immediately), or if the unit had remained dry. At the same time as this debacle, we received a RENT INCREASE notice in the mail from Extra Space Storage and we were stunned. Was this a joke? NOPE. THIS ORGANIZATION HAS ZERO INTEGRITY. With many storage options nearby, we will be out of this facility as soon as possible. read more

Couldn't have asked for a better move in process. She looked hard to find me a space that was big enough for everything needed and even scoped the best location for me in the building too. read more

Definitely some of the best customer service I've ever had. It is a newer facility and very clean. I've dealt with three associates so far and all three of them have gone above and beyond in the customer service realm. I am only using the storage unit for two months, but I would definitely check this place out again if I ever need storage. I had one issue and it was quickly resolved. Went to drop off my stuff for the first time after office hours. The instruction was vague and I was only told to use a code to get in, which I was able to. But what they didn't tell me was that I needed a code to use the elevator to go to my unit. I found a keypad located kind of a little far from the elevator doors. I put my code, got in the elevator, but it wasn't going to my floor and stay on the 1st floor. I called the after hour operator and he told me he had no idea how each facility functions and he couldn't help. I kept trying typing my code in, getting in the elevator, but not going up!! Literally like after 45 minutes of trying, it finally worked. I was able to put my stuff in the storage and leave 2 minutes before they close. I was close to get locked in. Other than this incident, the facility is very clean, brand new, and the security system is great! read more

so apparently there was a fire on the 5th floor. my stuff is on the 1st floor but i was denied access to my unit and was told that i won't be able to go into my unit until friday at the earliest. i found all of this information out when i arrived at the property. i received no phone call, no text, no email in any of my inboxes, nothing. leaving yelp reviews is pointless because nothing ever changes. people just do what they want; but is a little decency and flexibility too much to ask? i'm a musician and i needed access to my stuff today. driving all the way over with no warning that the place is closed until further notice is not professional at all read more
