I would like to give a serious shout out to Storage Outlet Gardena!!! I was in a bind and was calling around in a desperate need of an extra large storage space. I reached out to them and unfortunately at the time nothing was available. I asked to be placed on their waiting list!... In less than a week I received a call from D'Andre and OMG He made my day! D'Andre was the most pleasant and welcoming gentleman informing me they had just received notice of a 10x30 space that was rare to find!! I explained to him my situation of being out of town! He immediately assured me everything would be ok and he would be willing to hold the space for me until I returned! I cannot thank him enough he was so assuring and I felt so much better when he told me he would even be there when I arrived!!! Well now I have arrived and to meet him in person he is absolutely PHENOMENAL!!!! I also met Nicol and she was just as pleasant and welcoming! Customer Service at the Gardena location is THE BEST!! I'm very upset at the current moment with the horrible customer service at this place... Initially when I first acquired a unit here in the middle of March, Kevin was very polite and helpful, now it's a completely different story. I rented two units. On April 1st, I let Kevin know I would only be keeping one of the units because I already emptied the biggest one (I moved into my apartment on April 1st), and even though one unit was empty, I still paid the full months rent on both units... and also, I signed the 10-day notice to vacate the unit on April 1st... He let me know it had to be empty by the 30th... which was fine, because it was already empty... now, he calls me on April 30th at 2pm to ask me if I still wanted to vacate. I didn't get the message because I was at work... Now Kevin is saying I owe for the month of May, even though the unit was empty and the lock was removed by April 30th... He said since no one came to the office to let him know it was vacant, they charged me... Well, that's funny, because I let him know the unit was vacant well in advance... read more

OMG!!!! I went to the storage unit today and was greeted with friendly new staff. I was very surprised because the side door was open and the new employee mention to me that the side door will be available to access from the warehouse to the office and also that the restrooms will be available for use. This is all good news to me because it was a hassle to walk out through the parking lot back into the office on rainy days, also, it is nice to know that there is a restroom available on site for the customers. read more
