This review is based mostly on the front desk gentleman. He was extremely helpful and professional when we came to find a unit on very short notice. He showed us several spaces and explained everything well, no rushing. I have never rented a storage unit so I had a lot of questions. He was kind a patient, even though we had our toddler with us fussing. The buildings are clean and secure and there is plenty of parking. The elevators are big too. The hours are good, you can go until 10pm, many others close at 6pm. Had to take off a star for the yelp promo being a bit shady. "half off 1st month rent" should apply across the board, or if it is for "select units" then those should be posted and updated. Otherwise, it was a good experience. read more

There are a few musts when looking for a storage unit. You want your stuff to be safe. You want easy access to it all days of the week. You want your access to be painless and you want to pay a good price. 101 Storage provides all this and more. We've had a unit here for over 5 years and have had such a great experience. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. They provide rolling carts and the facility is always clean and well lit. I've had several different storage units and this company is hassle free. Parking is super easy and the prices are fair for the area. Security is the best I've ever seen for a storage unit so if you have valuable items, you can rest assured that they are safe here. I recently moved out of my storage unit at this location, and can say that I had an excellent experience here and would HIGHLY recommend this place. After doing a ton of research on all the local options, I found that this location was most affordable. Aurora was a huge help throughout the entire process... And very kind & professional! She offered to show me the various units before I signed a contract, but I was in a hurry so I opted out of the tour. She made the registration quick and easy. I LOVE how safe these units are (you get a code to access the gates & the exterior elevator entrance). My unit was super clean, and the doors easy to operate. They also have dolly carts available to help with the move (THANK YOU), and they sell locks, bubble wrap, and other moving equipment on site. Again, I highly recommend this place. read more

In this economy, they just imposed a HUGE rate increase. Are they that out of touch? Many people maintain a storage space due to some sort of financial or personal misfortune that has forced them to QUICKLY downsize, and yet this degree of a rate increase? I certainly never got six months at 50% discount. I agree with Lindsey K. that the facility is clean. The people are friendly enough, but the last time I was there to pay rent, I did not get a receipt because the woman at the desk, "didn't know how" to print one. DUH! Oh, yeah, then there was the notification process about the rate increase. They e-mailed the information. Okay, that's fine. Then, they sent a snail mail letter. Okay, that's a little overkill, but no big deal. Now there's no chance we don't know that the rent is going up. I came home one day to a notice of a CERTIFIED LETTER at the post office. I went to the Post Office, waited in line for FORTY-FIVE minutes, for what? Another copy of the letter stating that the rent is going up!!! That is nothing short of ABUSIVE as far as I am concerned. read more

This is a great place. The staff is very cool and helpful. It is clean It is easy to deal with ie no hassles. No CS little charges for everything under the sun. There is plenty of parking. Bottom line the prices are good and the general vibe of the place and the other customers is fantastic. I'm really glad i checked this out before I rented at one of the chain places. read more

This storage facility is the best on every level. Usually when you are in need of storage it is a time of stress or transition. Nicky made the process very simple and stress-free. She is highly professional and knowledgeable. The facility is clean and well lit. All of the units are easily accessible. Parking is easy and carts are available when needed. Whenever I stop in Nicky and Aurora are pleasant, friendly and happy to assist however necessary. How often can you say you look forward to going to your storage unit? Just wanted to say what a great experience I had with these guys. I had all my stuff in storage for about two and a half years. The personal attention here made the slightly higher price worth it: the facility is clean and well-maintained, security is great and recently when I forgot to fully lock my unit Nicky at the front desk noticed on the security feed and called to let me know. Today I had to discard a large bedframe. The owners/managers got me the number for LA Sanitation to pick it up and then even carried it outside for me. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Getting signed up was super easy, fast, and the customer service was exceptional. I think the woman who helped me was named Stacy. The facility is clean, well organized, and accessibility is great. I was anxious about signing up for a storage place but I'm not any more and it is such a relief to have 101 Storage nearby.
