I'm writing to express how completely unacceptable it is that I cannot access my storage unit after 6pm. I pay for this space and expect to be able to access my belongings when I need them--especially after normal working hours. Most people, myself included, work until at least 6pm. If I were late on a payment, I know you wouldn't hesitate to lock me out and auction off my belongings. Yet here I am, paid in full, and denied reasonable access. This is incredibly frustrating and frankly, I do not appreciate this level of service at all. You need to reconsider your hours or at the very least provide extended access to paying customers. The facility was broken into on Saturday, November 8th at 7AM and multiple units were robbed. There is no alarm on the building, the auto gate is never closed, an exterior door was forced open and there are no cameras in the hallways. The cameras outside are low-quality and they were not able to get a license plate. Building management have not reached out or taken any responsibility. A police report was filed but it's unlikely to result in any arrests. read more

Had an excellent experience at this location that lasted several years. Never any problem with break ins, and the staff were always extremely helpful. Only cons are: 1) typing in your code for the elevator can be a pain. 2) there are a lot of homeless encampments on the block (increasing recently). Other than those two points, excellent experience. Moved out. Rent started at $149 in 6/20 and was going to be $288 as of 7/1. They raised it by $70 over the last 6 months. And when I moved out, I finally measured my unit and it was 6ft x 7ft but I was being charged for a 5 x 10 foot unit. So yes, I feel I have been ripped off. I got a great space at ExtraSpace Storage. It's 10 x 7 with a roll up door and it's $105 a month including insurance. I locked in that price for a year by pre-paying for the whole year. read more

Not only did they increase unit rent by more than 25% his year ($100), cancellation of a double billing cost me a $25 fee and a mean email about a past due balance, I didn't know about. If I wasn't stuck, I'd rent a truck and move out immediately. This is not the way to do business. Needed storage for a month or so. While other options are cheaper, I appreciate being able to look online, and see what's available to I can go pick out my size and have it ready. Customer service was nice enough. Gripe is parking in area is not great, a packed alley, with 6 spots for public storage in front, and parking inside when that's full. My code also struggles to unlock main door, as I need to input it a couple of times for it to buzz me open. read more

I've had 2 10x10 units at Public Storage for many years. It's great, the place is clean, they have bathrooms BUT....I think storage units are kind of a scam. I've never had ANYTHING (except gas) go up in price more than storage units. It's not just Public Storage, it's all of them. I also have a storage unit at another company in Burbank and it raises prices just as often. Often meaning 4 times a year and it's not just a few dollars it's substantial. They have you by the balls tho. After 20 years, I moved from a 2500 sq.ft. house to a place that's 1200 sq. ft. I got rid of plenty but, there's more and there's some beautiful things. What do I do with all my treasures ? Anyone interested in buying some amazing things? I digress. I want to know what I'm getting for them to keep raising the price. Give me SOMETHING for my money, a foot rub, a car wash, a free pizza but, at least act like it's a good thing and I'm getting a great deal because, right now, I feel like they're taking advantage of their tenants. If they tell me WHY they raise the rates so often, I'll be happy to change my review but, for now it's 3 stars because, they raise their prices too often. read more

This business is promoting deceitful advertising on their website. I reserved and paid for a unit yesterday and arrived to move our things today only to find that they gave me a locker for what I thought would be a 5x5 room. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful however he said there was nothing he could do. I called customer service and they also said they couldn't do anything to correct this mistake and gave me their manager's phone number. I've tried to contact Grace (manager) but the number goes straight to a mailbox. We decided to leave and take our business elsewhere since they wanted to charge me double the price of what was listed on their site. At minimum I expect to get a refund which I was told before I left that they couldn't do. This is ridiculous considering I haven't even used or opened up the unit and was falsely given the wrong price point. I hope they seriously correct this misinformation on their site since it appears it's not the first time it has happened. And I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. Disappointing. read more

There were guests ahead of me and I saw him take care of them with a genuine need to provide excellent customer service and that same service was provided when it was my turn. From the knowledge to the common courtesy, Michael is a grade A employee. You can tell he takes his professionalism serious and that's a great attribute for a big company like this. Yes, moving in is easy. After that, it seems corporate counts on the inconvenience of moving out to overshadow massive rate increases (over 100% in just seven years), reduced access hours (latest access reduced to 6pm weekdays, 5pm weekends), and now has even required me to pay extra for protective covering for an upcoming painting though a letter from Public Storage stated it would be available "for my convenience." Call Customer Service you say? The folks who answer the phones have no ability to address issues beyond telling you to call district or regional managers. Not much help when it's the district manager who directed the office workers to charge me for plastic sheeting, since they didn't know where the free protecting coverings were, and the regional manager does not return a voicemail despite there being a 48 hour call return policy. According to Customer Service, that is the sum total of one's options. So in my opinion, do yourself a favor and look a little further than Public Storage. I know I should have. At the very least I would have saved a couple thousand dollars. read more

horrible customer service, filthy location. theres motor or oil stains in the units. they also have a rat problem. they put rat pellets in my unit but that didnt even help because i always saw rat droppings. this place should be ashamed. not to mention the bathroom door doesnt close or lock properly so someone can literally walk in on you. and thats happened to me. i reported this a year ago and they still never fixed it. this place is lousy, i do not recommend it. they also told me the rent was prorated that if i cancel theyll give me some money back. that is not true at all. they rip people off read more

Online, their hours list that they're open until 9pm. It turns out they're only open until 6pm. When I was told this during move in day, I assumed they were talking about office hours and not actual access. When I called to talk to them about the discrepancy between the website and what they said, they're response was that the website hadn't been updated in 2 years. Called to see what was available and ended up at this location. Samantha in the call center in Arizona was great! She found what we needed and processed the reservation promptly. I called and spoke with Jared to confirm that the office would be opened on the holiday and our appointment time. With graduation everything was up in the air but Jared was great. He called to confirmed our appointment time as we were on our way. He made the sign up process painless, we had a few laughs, he educated us on storage, insurance, and how our son could look for open positions with the company!
