I've had storage units several times over the years mostly at the big name places we all know. I never had a positive experience with any of them. SoCal Self Storage is by far the best renters experience I've had. The Manager Glenn is awesome to work with. I didn't know what size unit I needed. "No problem. Bring your stuff in. We'll figure out which unit is best for you and then we'll do the paperwork." Every other storage place would want a downpayment, or hold fee on the unit. Glenn had the elevator and dollys standing by and ready for when I showed up and helped me into the unit. You may pay a little more than the bigger name brand places but you will not find the same friendly service. The customer service is worth a few extra dollars per a month. It's also very convenient right on Ventura Blvd vs going into a secluded industrial park. read more

So Cal Self Storage is by far the best storage facility I've used. The staff has superb customer service and keep the place very clean. If you are looking for a storage you will really find this faculty to be the best you've experienced. Glen is a great asset to the company as he is so professional, knowledge, and accommodating. While moving some items in I dropped my keys down the freight elevator. My day would of been over without my keys. I asked Glen for help and when at most places I would have had to wait on an elevator technician to come, Glen had the knowledge to stop the elevator and get my keys without them dropping down the shaft. It took time from other duties he had and I appreciate him helping during such a challenging experience for me. He is such a caring human being with a nice aura. I'm quite a loyal customer but every single time I seem to come here there's a note on the door that says running an errand back in a few minutes. I always end up waiting 30 to 40 minutes for someone to come back and unlock so that I can get boxes. Nobody ever seems to be here. It's very time-consuming When you have people waiting for you to pack and you can't get any boxes. They are convenient location, but it's impossible to get boxes here sometimes. I had a wonderful experience with this specific location, mainly because of the high quality customer service provided by the manager, Glenn. He's very attentive, friendly, and intuitive. Glenn is a people person. He also goes went out of his way to help my by providing me with a lock that he had available. I used this lock during all the months I was there. The building is old. However, Glenn took the time to explain to me how to operate everything I needed to operate and I had no problem doing it after that. There was always parking available when I went to drop off or pick something up. The place was alway clean in general. They even play music throughout the building so you're not bored when loading and unloading your stuff. The pricing on renting a storage unit was competitive. So, if you're interested in getting a storage unit, check this company out. Hopefully you are lucky enough to talk with Glenn and you will know exactly what I am talking about. Wow. The service here is amazing. Frankly, we did not come fully prepared. We accidentally left our ID at home and we didn't bring a padlock. It was near the end of Glenn's shift and he went above and beyond for us. He helped us get settled, helped us with our pad lock problem, and was a joy to be around.
