This was my first experience renting a unit at Public Storage and I have to say, I am totally impressed, particularly with Jared who works at this location and was the one helping me out. He is awesome - he went above and beyond to help make the process as easy as possible and pleasant for me. He's extremely friendly and helpful which makes the whole process of moving into a unit much less stressful. The units at this location are nice and clean and they have many different size options to satisfy many difference storage needs. I am definitely going to recommend Public Storage to my friends who are also moving, particularly this location, because my experience here thus far has been A+. read more

Great location! Great Staff! Jared and Renee we exceptionally helpful and went out of their way to help me find the right size unit in the best location that suited me. Jared, having previous experience as a mover, was able to suggest the best size unit for me and suggest how to best pack it so I could save money - - when I was unsure of what size to pick. Genuine and helpful, the always remember my name when I pull up with out having to look me up in the system. read more

Unit BROKEN INTO AND ROBBED! ... I posted a review that Yelp erroneously removed, but I'll post another when I have time this week. For now and in short, my unit (at this Studio City location) was robbed and ransacked last month. The lock is intact, indicating an inside job or that a locksmith of some sort got to it. You'll find numerous reviews for other such robberies at various Public Storage locations. P.S. hasn't done anything to investigate or prevent them from continuing. read more

Jared has a great attitude. Customer service is his priority. There was no pressure from him to purchase anything additional that I did not want. I had no issues with the facility. It was on the third floor and using the elevator was no problem. All in all, my short stay at Public Storage gave me piece of mind. read more

This storage facility is well managed and kept in immaculate condition. It is always a bit stressful to move items, so the wonderful helpfulness and attitude extended by Jared made the experience smooth and easy. I had been looking for a storage space in studio city and everything I found was incredibly over priced. Public storage was the only place that offered me a deal for a fair price. Jared showed me multiple units and walked me through all my options. The process was overwhelming so it was nice to have someone so helpful and understanding of the process to get me what I needed. He made sure to ask all the right questions and make sure everything was accommodating for my move. So happy I went with public storage!! read more

The one I thought I wanted really wasn't the right size and location but he suggested a much better-and less expensive-location. It's nice that the parking is good given that it's in Studio City. Used this location for 7 months and had a wonderful experience. When taken on a tour of the various storage units I felt at ease and knew I was getting the best deal possible. They dont have any cameras inside and I got robbed by somebody supposedly "picking my lock" twice! The insurance you purchase monthly (Perfect Solutions) does not cover anything of value. They don't mention the exclusions until after you file a report to see what you've reported which was a huge waste of time. Also be careful pulling out of the structure because of the big dip. The manager Jared seems nice though. read more

Jared is the absolute best! He is the most pleasant, funny, and hard working professional. He is very accommodating and caring. The storage space chosen was their smallest but I fit a ton load of boxes in it. The facility is clean and well taken care of. Alicia was super helpful. She showed me around, ultimately the space I reserved was way too small for my stuff so she took the time to do a detailed search for me to find me the perfect storage size & space. She ended up finding me an awesome rate at a nearby public storage which I leased the very next day! Excellent customer service & highly recommended! read more

My husband and I love this location. We recently got a unit and both Chris and Joseph helped us out. They were very helpful at figuring out what type of unit was best for us with the availability they had. This place is awful. Management is rude and tries to farce you to buy a lock for $20. There is no parking or room to unload. They are shady with the pricing too, changing the prices of you don't buy the locks, and are just generally not competitive with their pricing. I've been here twice and will never return. The front desk guy was even terrible, isn't the receptionist supposed to make you want to do business there? Sorry you hate your job, big guy. read more

Alicia is the reason this gets 4 stars - she would get 5 stars if I rated her solo. The place is 3 stars - it's clean but the access hours aren't the most convenient if you're working during the day. Rented there uneventfully a few times over the years, but recently my unit was broken into. Alicia called the day of the robbery because she noticed the lock was not on the unit. I appreciate her contacting me quickly and her understanding during the stressful time. The thief hit two units that day - seemingly targeting some of the weaker locks. Needless to say, as much as I appreciated Alicia, I moved out ASAP. read more

Full disclosure: I only came here to purchase moving supplies. Dude at the desk was the most hilarious/helpful/funny person ever. One single person really can make a business successful, and this guy is the reason for all of these good reviews. I'm honestly a little jealous I didn't get to say he was awesome first! History

Established in 1972.

The first Public Storage building opened in El Cajon California, but the new business was only supposed to be temporary. Two partners pioneered the concept as a way to use their real estate investment while they waited for the Southern California community to take off and value of their land to grow. They kept building, and people continued to fill their units. Eventually the pair realized that self-storage was here to stay, and they never looked back. Today, there are thousands of neighborhood Public Storage locations to choose from, many right around the corner from you.

Here, this is for you Jared (the new management team manager).. Usually I don't go around getting on Yelp for nobody but I just gotta sign up and do this for Jared who just promoted recently and managing this property. Wow, everything was much better. Felt like home as soon as you walked in. The unit is the CLEANEST AND SAFEST IN the city. AND, the new manager Jared just made it MUCH BETTER. He will make you feel like home. He would greet you and welcome you with much big of a smile and warmest hospitality. If you are thirsty moving your bags and boxes here and there under the hot sun, he wouldn't' mind running to the store next door and bring you a cold bottle of water. You are never alone when you go for this property. The atmosphere has changed since Jared took over. We had had a different manager before him, and it was a different story. I wouldn't recommend any other place for storage unit if you are looking around in Studio City or in the Valley. BEWARE ! This is a warning to all the people that are looking to store their belongings in a supposedly safe place with video surveillance cameras. Public Storage claims that they have video cameras, and they have never had any thefts or burglaries but on the contrary I have been a victim and my unit was BURGLARIZED. There is NO safety at all. I had a very large storage unit but unfortunately my unit was BURGLARIZED, so I feel very much violated. There was no records of a video footage. When I requested for the video footage the regional manager that happened to be there that day said I can not give it to you .The police needs to request it. The head manager avoided giving it to me or the POLICE. HE even accused me by saying that maybe someone I know did it. To make a long story short DON'T give your business to them, I found out from LAPD that there has been many THEFTS and BURGLARIES. Within the past year alone 7 BURGLARIES including mine have occurred ONLY in my location, today I found out there has been a lot of other burglaries in other locations . I hope this helps. read more

I've used Public Storgae before and they have always been reliable, efficient, and appropriately priced. This time, however, they were not only ALL of what I mentioned above, they were exceptional in terms of customer service and satisfaction! Brie was my office administrator and she and I had a wonderful conversation that made the experience of lugging my belongings into storage a very 'uplifting' one, as she changed my mood completely with her positivity and kindness. She met all of my needs as a customer and went above and beyond to make us strangers become friends. She told me she just transferred to this location so I hope she finds the area to be welcoming, as this location is lucky to have her. This review is dedicated to Jared! It's always nice to meet such a special human -- and in a storage facility, of all places. He's incredibly helpful and kind, and always went above and beyond. For example, when I moved in, he gave me orange slices on a hot day (seriously), and when I moved out, he taught me how to reverse a super-short trailer (so much harder than it looks, my god). I can't say how much I appreciate him! On a technical note, I had a good experience with the facility overall. My stuff was always secure, the staff were always prompt in replying to any questions, and I felt that they worked to get me the best deal possible and were very upfront about what to expect. Hey Chris and Joseph it's me Kenny again. I know you guys rather me leave a review on google but I am so pleased with you guys service I decided to leave two reviews, google and yelp. If you ever need a storage rent from Chris and Joseph or if you are moving and just need packing supply go to them. They are extremely friendly and Knowledgable. I come into the store every month to buy supplies for my company and always received A++ service. If I was their boss I would be very proud of them. I even try to recruit them but they sadly refuse that's when I realize they truly enjoy their job. I might even have to get me a storage soon... you know who I'm going to. Thanks Guys!! read more

The insurance company adds to the scam. Of course you have to buy insurance and you have to buy their lock. Once my review came out suddenly the office hours changed and they had no more after hours access to the building. They declined of course to pay out saying I needed receipts for everything even though I had police report and everything. who has receipts for everything they own? It's all a great scam I lost some really valuable and personal items. I repeat do not rent space at this location. Can't get my things back but I can help others by telling them the truth. read more

Need to store your crap? I have had tons of stuff that I have been collecting for years and wifey finally pulled the trigger and commanded to get rid of it. Got a good sized 10x10 unit at Public Storage for a reasonable price, called http://www.fastruckmoving.com/ - local Los Angeles movers, and got it done in less than 4 hours. Thank you Dina for all your help last week. We drove in from Vegas and we were thinking about moving into a smaller unit. Dina processed our paperwork and escorted us to the 2 units When we decided to stay in the larger unit, NO PROBLEM. She canceled the new reservation and confirmed we would remain in the original. Wow! During such a hectic time "all of a sudden", this location is a Godsend!!!!!! Jared and Cynthia are awesommmmmmmm They kept in touch with me the whole way and NEVER pressured me through my internet deal findings. I've been renting a storage space for about a year now as I'm off traveling outside of the states. I try to call in at least once every 2-3 months just to make sure nothing is out of the ordinary. I've been storing here for 4years and its a great facility overall. Parking is a little difficult sometimes, but manageable. Jared and staff are friendly and seem to be on top of things. Everyone I've encountered here is very helpful. Location is clean and they have carts available to use for free. I would recommend this location! read more

I just rented a 10' x 20' storage room that looks like it is in great condition. The building has a new roof. The facility looks well maintained and free of trashy people. .
