Rats and DROPPINGS in my inside unit, went from a $92/mo 7x10 to them almost doubling that in a span of less than a year. They changed the lock on the door to get to my unit inside at one point and no one notified me, customer service line couldn't help, manager didn't answer so couldn't access my stuff until I finally saw someone at the office for like an hour. To top it all off they have crazy lately fees for like $80 and try to auction your stuff if youre less than 30 days late. Moving out in a week don't go here!!! read more

Overall, there's not tons of difference between storage facilities. Some like this one look more run down or shady, but that's pretty standard. The issue is that 3 months in, they tripled my price. I called the manager and left 2 voicemails without a return call. Nobody answers the phone and the office has boarded up windows. Not sure which staff member people are talking about as I see nobody there the times I have been there. Granted I have only visited 4 or 5 times. I will be moving out. read more

This place is terrible! We rented vehicle storage unit. They did not tell us that that they had no security or security cameras by these units. Our unit was broken into, 2 windows smashed on the car and the thousands of $$$ of clothes were stolen out of it. The manger of property never called me back and as far as I am aware they never called the police. I had to file police report. read more

It's no pest controlled. There's mouse droppings all over and chew marks on several items. I'm in the climate controlled portion so there's no reason for it to be this way. They have mouse traps everywhere that do not seem to do the job. I'm moving out this week and am worried about the damage I will find. I will update with photos. read more

I got here at 9:45 and they weren't open, but sign said they opened at 9:30. When the door finally opened at 9:50. The woman didn't speak. I told her what I wanted and she continued to be uncommunicative. Plus, 3 boxes were almost $40.00. As I was leaving a Fed Ex delivery driver was being rudely questioned as to why he was there. The Good: :: the storage unit was cleaned out when i checked in to use it :: access to the unit was never an issue---digital keypad always worked when i came in and came out The Bad: :: there were 2 holes on the roof for my unit i didn't notice when i was checked in and unpacking and loading the unit. luckily my friend spotted them and alerted me to them or else, the many rainstorms would have destroyed a LOT of my belongings in their boxes. it took them 3 weeks to patch the holes. yup. 3 weeks. i know they contract it out but they should reconsider who they use for their contracting needs. in 3 weeks rain damage could have occurred and i would have been unable to do anything about it. :: there were roach droppings all over my stuff. not surprised, though, because it was an outdoor unit. when i asked them during my storage tenure how often they sprayed for pests, they said only when they noticed a problem. how will you notice a problem when it's a locked unit??? The Ugly: :: none Would I go back? Possibly, but only if I went with one of their climate-controlled units. This place is OUT for their outdoor, non-climate controlled units. read more

I needed a storage unit ASAP due to quickly having to break my apartment lease and move out of my place within a week. I went to the Public Storage website (very user friendly, in my opinion) and reserved a unit for a start date of that same day. Within 2 minutes, Sean called me to confirm my *same-day contract* (awesome customer service) and set an appointment for me to come by and check out the storage unit, go over the details and get the contract processed. The contract process was user friendly and Sean walked me through every detail so I knew what I was signing. You need to have storage insurance, which they offer thru a 3rd party company. Not bad - $3,000 coverage for $11/month, and I didn't have to take the time to get other quotes, etc. This experience was the quickest, most painless process I've seen in a long time. Great booking systems and awesome customer service. Thank you Sean! Super impressed with being able to sign contract and start moving things into the unit on the same day. read more

Public Storage on Reinli Street in Austin was a great place to store my valuables. It was close-by, gated, easy to get in and out, good hours of operation and, generally speaking, the staff was helpful (especially Brad). However, this changed three weeks ago when someone tried to break into my outdoor storage space (the first of three attempts). Their attempt to drill off my cylinder lock failed, but it ruined the lock. The person in charge at Public Storage told me all they could do was to "allow me" to call the police and nothing else, and that I would have to pay for a replacement lock. They also offered to have a lock-smith come at their cost but that would take 7 to 10 business days, at minimum. The person in charge that day would not provide me with the district manager's contact information. Fast forward to this week, and two more attempts were made to break into my same storage space: one by cutting off my Masterlock lock, and the second by, once again, attempting to drill off the cylinder lock (see pic). Once again the person in charge at this time did nothing to help, other than inform me that I could of course call the police and pay for my own locksmith. Why this attitude? Especially when two other customers informed me that they to had had break-in attempts to their storage spaces. I wasn't asking for much, only that they make it easy to have the damaged locks removed (perhaps have a drill and bits for customers to use?) and place security cameras around the storage grounds. I'm currently looking for another storage option as clearly more attempts will happen. It is only a matter of time before these criminals succeed. Very poorly maintained storage area. We had a climate controlled unit here for several years. They routinely raised the rent each year, while the conditions in the unit worsened. While there seemed to be a slight rodent problem when we first moved in, things just got worse each year. All our containers inside the unit were covered with rat poop and piss. Also, the lighting inside the unit was very dim. I did like that this facility has a security gate. read more

I moved by belongs out today - I had met Brad the manager outside my van as I arrived, he created me warmly. He was very supportive and made the moving out process easy. In general the location I would say is less ideal if you have items that can be exposed to heat (it was scorching loading the storage bay in the high texas heat of summer), I also noticed some mouse droppings on top of my belongings when I moved my things so possibly best control can be better. That said, the service I received today was excellent so it left things on a very good note. read more

I needed a storage unit quickly. I was able to sign up for my unit on a Sunday morning, and by Sunday evening I had everything moved in. I kept the unit for 2 months - access to the facility was very simple and secure, the unit was clean, the staff was super helpful and friendly. I used autopay, so I was able to keep up with the fairly low monthly payment. If I need it again, I will definitely use this place! read more

Friendly enough staff the few times I've had to deal with them (when signing up for my space, pretty much) and it's been okay since then. Recently I noticed a puddle of water on the floor in the hallway across from my unit. It was mostly dry when I returned a few days later, but something to keep an eye on. My biggest gripe really is that I've been there barely six months and I got an email unilaterally telling me my rent was increasing by 28% per month. I know, technically month-to-month, yada yada yada, but I really don't feel like I'm getting 28% more service or 28% more storage space after so short a time. Hopefully I'll be able to unpack and move out before they raise it again. `\o/` read more

I rarely write reviews but given that the front desk attendant - Zaida - was extremely helpful during a stressful situation, a review is warranted! I had a few snags the day I was moving into my rented unit, Zaida was pleasant, calm and helped me fixes issues quickly. The unit was plenty of room, climate controlled and easy to access. read more

Many of us have storage issues that start with "stories that aren't really true" (I'm keeping this banjo because someday I'm going to take Bluegrass lessons! I'm holding onto these books because someday I'm going to read the Russians!). I'm still sorting and asking the questions, but, until recently, I used the Public Storage on Reinli for my Unexamined Stuff. We'd moved to a tiny room in a relative's house and planned to radically downsize our possessions. Someday. But I digress. All Public Storage locations are NOT created equal, so I'm not widely endorsing the brand. You need to do your homework before you drive the PS Turnpike--there are definitely potholes to avoid! Anyhow, this here is a solid storage venue in a central location at a fair price. It's not as frilly or new as some of the other PS locations, but the customer service has been excellent and the place seems decently secure. Needs for info or assistance here have been promptly met. If you're going to get your stuff out of sight, do it here. Your baseball card collection, old vinyl, and Silvertone banjo should be safe and sound at Reinli's Public Storage until you're ready to ask the questions. FINAL NOTE: Public Storage has a corporate policy of requiring insurance (sold there), so figure that into your bottom-line monthly per-unit cost. read more

I've had two storage units here for about six months now and I can't complain about anything about this location of Public Storage, except for two things: 1. The cart keeps getting stolen and the staff has given up on replacing it when it goes missing. This is very inconvenient. I even suggested to one manager that they start taking driver licenses when someone wants to use it so they know exactly who is responsible for its disappearance. This would also deter people from keeping it or putting it in their units. Nothing has happened yet. 2. There is only one elevator in the whole facility. This makes for a roundabout way to get to a unit on the second story. Not fun, but not a gigantic issue. The cart issue above would fix this problem ;) I like this place, and the staff seem nice. There needs to be a bit more accountability for replacing the cart, and event get a few so we don't have to fight over who gets to use it. read more

The place what nice and clean for the most part however I did see some discolored liquid in one over open storage areas. However, overall though it was a great place and I feel safe leaving my belonging there. Also the worker that assisted me,Nathan was a great help. He took the time to serve me even though I was cutting it really close. So I would recommend Public Storage to any and everyone. read more

I needed to store my items for a few weeks between selling my house and buying a condo. Reserving a Public Storage unit online was fast and easy. No gimmicks, just straight forward info and discounts. Great service (& safe/social distanced) when in person at the complex thanks to Brad & Phillip. Unit was easy to access (personal gate codes!) and unit itself was clean and in good condition, with a light. I called to give my notice to vacate and Brad answered my questions easily and I received my info email within minutes of our phone call. 10/10 would recommend and reuse this location if I need storage again in the future. While I may have had a horrible experience originally, I believe that the company worked hard to make things right. Thank you Jenny. Original Experience: DONT move your stuff here if you have the option. They took the lock off removed it and added a new lock without telling me. They then would not allow the other person paying for the account to get in without me physically being present...even though he had all my account info and talked to me on the phone. I cancelled my account immediately after this encounter only to have fees rack up for not taking the "new" lock off. Now after several months they decide to call and tell me I MUST pay for this and that the lock...Not me closing the account online...defines whether or not I have a unit with them. read more

I booked a unit here online for a fair price that only got better. When I showed up, they had a first-month-free offer going, so I paid less than I expected. The price for a location this close to the city center is great. Greg helped me out. They were upgrading their computer system that day. You know how that goes. He really went above and beyond, working around problems and doing what had to get done to keep my day productive. I really appreciate the personal service. I can't recommend Greg enough! I cant recommend this spot enough, Landri was a gurdian angel after I suddenly had to move out of my house and get my things into storage in 1 day. I was stressed out to my limtis and she was super on top of it! She was kind enough to advise me on my best storage options for my budget and let me ramble on about my personal problems while we got the paperwork done. I was incrediable worried after the flood about my stuff, but dry as a bone even in the non climate controled spots 1ST floors spots (which are a big saving when you need a lot more space and NO Stairs/Elevators to my unit). *****One of the mosly comeptitivly priced storage spots close to campus. read more

Your valuables are not safe being stored here. They won't stop someone from breaking into your storage unit or vehicle if you store it here. Also disregard their security cameras, they don't work or refuse to view past video for you. Additionally, you should read about how storage facility employees are usually to blame for theft. They either directly stole from you or coordinated their friends and family to do it on their behalf. read more
