Even after I was paying $147 a month, they suddenly raised it to $227, which is another 54% increase in just one month. I did not receive or see any clear notice before the new rate was charged. I understand that storage companies may increase prices, but raising the cost this much in less than a year without clearly communicating it is unacceptable. Customers should not have to closely monitor every payment just to discover that their rate has nearly tripled. I would not recommend Extra Space Storage unless you are prepared for large and unexpected price increases.

The process was much more easier and stress-free than UHaul. I am happy to say that I trust Penske…read morenow with my future moves. The positives: -Unlimited Mileage and you just pay for one small fee (unless you don't want any additional add-ons. -The truck had a full tank of gas and I returned it with a full tank as a courtesy for the next person. -They had the option to keep the truck for three days and not just two which Uhaul had a big issue with. It's just not possible to return the truck within two days if I am moving from city to city since the city I moved to was 3 hours away from Austin. On the other hand, Penske provided the option to return the truck in the new city and not Austin. However, Uhaul had a problem with this and wanted me to return the truck in Austin by the second day. That sounds very stressful!! -The truck was very clean and spacious. I ended up getting the 12'Truck which allowed me to move out of a 698 sqft apartment. Negative: -There was only one worker at this location and he appeared to be burned out with his work. He was tired and did not speak much. He was a shell of a human. I say that Home Depot needs to make sure that there are more than one worker in the area so that he has someone else helping him out. However, when I returned it to the location in the newer city, the workers were much more lively and provided conversation. However, the truck was ready and he even drove the truck closer to the store so that it would be easy to access. I highly recommend Penske with your moving needs!
