Updated: I visited the location to get them to make an adjustment to my account after they ignored calls, voicemails, and emails. The manager pretended not to have received my email and then proceeded to find it after I offered to resend it. He said he made an adjustment but it is not on the account. The balance remains the same to include the charge for the unnecessary insurance. Reaching out to the help center as usual does nothing. Worst place with even worse service. Replying to my email to tell me to reach out for assistance is purely for show. They should be ashamed of themselves. read more

The service at this location, especially by Michael, is exemplary, but both staff that we dealt with are stellar. The people inside are helpful when it comes to getting your money, but that's where it stops. You will definitely get a call (and a fine) if your payment is a day late coming from the bank. The units are just average. They are not sealed well and everything gets dirty from the Texas dust and wind. But the worst is the PRICE INCREASES! I started out paying $70 for a 10x10. Without any upgrade in "service", five years later this loyal customer was paying $160. No new camera or light outside MY unit, no AC, no nearby electric socket! And don't miss a text or email that tells you your price went up... you'll be on the hook for the increase AND a penalty. Again, the people are polite and not responsible for the price gouging. But I fail to see how a concrete and metal box can increase in price so drastically without someone taking advantage of people. It's an ordeal to move out in protest, so most people just take it. read more

The two workers at the location on Burnet were so friendly. They made the process quick and easy. I think I found a good place.

This place is well kept and secure. I use this facility for a side business that I work on outside of normal business hours. I chose this location because it's nearby, I have 24 access to it and Debbie (the property manager) helps facilitate my package deliveries to my unit when I am not available to accept them. I get packages delivered by UPS and FedEx frequently and since I work during normal business hours it is super convenient that she can allow the carriers to drop off in my unit. Debbie also calls me when she needs to let me know something about my packages. I like the peace of mind that Debbie and the facility offers when it comes to my stuff being secure and accessible at any time. read more

So far, so good. I stopped in to get a unit to help me in my move, and the manager Debbie was very nice, professional, and helpful. The units are nice, clean, and very reasonably priced. They also offer climate controlled storage spaces. With my new job, and packing up my apartment, and moving, I really don't need a lot of extra stress right now. And Debbie made it as hassle-free and convenient as possible. The location is on my way to my job and my new apartment, so it's very much a Godsend. There are NOT security cameras revealing every unit, so ASK! I didn't ask, and the unit I was paying for (believing my treasures were under security and SAFE) were stolen....after only ONE MONTH. These were items I had saved for YEARS. Also, every single box has been "sorted through", only the valuable items taken, then the lids put back, meaning the thieves took their time. The Williamson Co Sheriff's Dept simply said, "There is nothing we can do." There is something VERY WRONG with this scenario, if you ask me! This place is clean, safe, secure and has access 24 hours a day( which is it's greatest selling point) It's prices are about the same as all the other storage places in Austin. The lady that runs it is really friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a storeroom in the north Austin/round rock/pflugerville area. read more

RATS GALORE! RENTERS BEWARE! This Storage Mart location deserves 0 stars, not 1. If you are thinking about storing items at Storage Mart BE WARNED! RATS EVERYWHERE! No matter what other 5 Star paid posts say, this Storage Mart has tons of rats running ramped throughout the climate controlled units. Of course the rats move out in the summer and then back in the fall according to exterminators I talked to. When we moved out we found 13 dead rats in the 10X20 climate controlled unit and another 4 in a non-climate controlled unit. Storage Marts will entice you with low prices but then will increase your rent every 6 months or yearly. Their comment to justify the higher rent is to provide a safe environment for your belongings. How about the rats? Charge more and do less. That's good for business. I unfortunately had my items stored at Storage Mart for 8 years and never had a problem with the units or with management until about two years ago when the new manager was running it. Never had a problem with other manages until Deb showed up. She is rude and condescending and is bothered that you want her to do something. You can never get in touch with her since the office is locked after 2pm daily. No, she is not walking the grounds since her car is gone every time I tried to find her. How can you run a business like that? If you are thinking about storing your items at Storage Mart BE AWARE of the above issues and good luck. Bad thing about all this, besides thousands of dollars of furniture loss, is that the RATS did not pay their share of the rent. read more

I used this place for a little over a year...I actually had two units - one smaller climate controlled and one medium sized non-climate controlled. I have absolutely no problems with either one. The place is pretty clean and seems very secure, and the folks at the front desk were always good to deal with and took pretty good care of me. This was about as good of an experience as I've had with any self storage facility...they seem to run a tight ship. The location was really convenient too as I had an apartment just a mile or two from there at the time. read more

I agree with the above user. I have used storage facilities numerous times over the years, and the Storage Mart on 1325 is by far the worst experience I've ever had! Here's my story, my son wrapped up his sophomore year at college a few days before he set off on a cross country charity bike ride. So, within 2 days, we moved him out of his dorm, into a storage unit, and he was literally on his bike for the next 70 days. I helped him get this storage at the last minute because they had a "deal." This was May 31st. I paid the first months rent which was $55 for a 5x10 unit. I continued on with my busy summer as usual, we are small business owners and always working. 45 days later I received an email, as I was on the contact info, saying I was late on the rent. Oops, gottcha. It would have been nice to receive a "your bill is due" reminder rather than "your bill is late." I definitely did not get a courtesy call, or a reminder. Okay, my bad...I pay the bill. When I opened the email, I saw the amount was $112. Hmm, I didn't read it over, assuming maybe they we requiring the next months rent in advance since I was late the first time. I pay the amount. Fast forward one month. We drive to the unit the same day my son arrived home from his cross country ride because he literally had to be in his new place and start classes the next day. I rented the Uhaul and we headed to clear out the unit. The entry way key pad read "locked out." Interesting, I thought I was pre billed and had pre paid. I called to find out why, and was advised I owed another $112 to get back in. Wait...I just paid $112 less than a month ago, how is it that I owe that amount again when my unit should be $55 per month. Here is the breakdown that I was charged for the 11 days in August we used the unit: -$55 unit price -$12 "loss of discount for not paying on time" -$9.97 insurance (that I NEVER asked for!) -$35 lock out fee So, the $112 I paid the previous month was the same breakdown it turns out! ALSO, they did not pro-rate for the month of August. They tried to charge me $112 for 12 days! When I called to ask why no one tried to contact me when it was late, I was told they tried to call my son. HE WAS OUT OF THE COUNTRY! I looked over my contract and I was clearly listed as the person to call if he could not be reached, and I was NEVER contacted. I told the manager I was never contacted and she said, "we use an automated system." If they use and automated system, how do they know to contact the secondary person if the first doesn't answer? In the end, she waived the $35 lock out fee, which is clearly just allowing us back in with the key pad. They were never out a lock service. Also, this cost me an extra day of a uhaul since we were locked out after business hours. Debbie the manager, is unfriendly, and completely unhelpful. We own 6 Austin area locations within our family business. If were treated customers this way, we would absolutely fail. So, in a nutshell, with their hidden fees and penalties: **I was charged $289 For 2 months and 12 Days of storage for a 5X10 unit that was supposed to cost $55 per month, with NO prorating. I NEVER write reviews. If I patron a business and am mistreated, I usually chalk it up to learning a lesson. However, in this case, it was worth the review. Shame on you Storage Mart on 1325 and shame on the GM Debbie. read more

You don't really get 1 month of free rent unless you move in on the 1st. I moved in on the 23rd, and the 8 days I had the unit was considered my free month of rent, which is the equivalent of $12.90. There is also no mention of the mandatory insurance they require you to have for an extra $10/month online, or on the phone. I wasn't told about it, until I was signing my paperwork. I've had two other storage units in Austin, and have never paid an additional cost for insurance. The property manager is somewhat hard to get in touch with, but is fairly pleasant when you do. The one positive is the rent is about $10 less a month than comparable places (even with the extra insurance fee), and I believe all the units are on the first floor. read more

You sign a contract with the facility, not a problem. They raise your monthly rate because the market bears charging more money. They send a letter through the mail (purportedly) although everything else is calling or email. There is a change in payment options so they make a call on the 3rd of the month at 4:51 pm. I am out of the country; I get the message the next morning (4th), make the payment and am charged $15 late fee. Late fee occurs after 3rd of the month, how convenient! They just keep finding bogus ways to take your money. Forgot to mention the mandatory insurance they insist you purchase and no one there has an insurance license. Don't bother reading anything....they have your stuff and will charge whatever they see fit. Not a very good experience at all. Would not recommend this facility. Can't wait to get my belongings out of there. I do not like people or businesses that rip you off. I should have waited for a unit to open up in downtown Pflugerville; those business owners are the best! Not this place, rent someone's garage instead. read more
