It is the easiest process getting a unit from them. Unfortunately they are not on top of their gate maintenance & wanted to do a 30% increase in my rent after 5 months. 4 times in one month of me going to my storage unit the gate was wide open. I reported it being stuck open and it was never fixed. When I vacated the storage unit, I used the live assistant kiosk to inform them of me moving out. I was told it was taken care of and to expect an email with the cancellation of my account within 24 hours. This was on the 30th of the month. Checked my email & Public Storage account 24 hours later & there was no email and my Public Storage account was still active. Luckily I still had 1 day left in the month before they overcharged me on an empty unit. I called the property, no answer: called the customer service line, no option for moving out; tried their live chat and finally got a link for moving out which brought me back to their app. I have " scheduled" a move out date through their app, fingers crossed this works. read more

The location it fine, the storage room is big and spacious, the service has never been an issue my problem is the cost and they way they just raise the rent as they see fit! Several times now I have gotten my bill and the corporate office has just arbitrarily upped my rent! Now I have checked around... I am already paying more then what I can get a unit my size for around town... but for the difference I just don't want to move all of my stuff... however with these attempts to gouge me I will now end up moving! I have been able to successfully argue the raises away... so far... but every few months they just do it again! I am already almost $50 more then anywhere else around for the same size room... which by the way wasn't the case when I got here... but since I moved into this location storage places have sprung up like crazy! Costs have gone down not up! Now with the increase they keep trying to give me they will be over $100 more then anyone else in the area. I have been at this location for 3 years now... this is an insane way to treat a loyal, always pay on time, customer! I will be moving locations... and would highly recommend staying away from the Public Storage company as a whole! read more

Place is clean and secure. Unit was clean and had lock inside ready to go. I've used this place on two separate moves years apart and have been very happy. Started off, great. signing up was very easy. there is a portion during sign up that requires insurance. public storage provides their own called Orange insurance. they mention you can provide your own and indicate time is allowed To reach out to your Insurance Company, so you can verify that it does cover storage units, this so that you can sign up, pay up front and get settled in. Once they have payment, and you your signature you will never be able to get ahold of a human being, to inquire how the heck you cancel out of their orange insurance. I have called multiple times to only get automated system that wasn't programed for things like how to cancel out of their orange insurance. When i finally heard an actual voice of a human being saying to leave a message and someone would get back with me, well i did leave a short message, and 3 days later nothing. All i want is to cancel their insurance and get reimbursed because at this rate i will be billed twice for 2 insurances. That is why i'm leaving this a rating 1. This day and age, it is so difficult to get great customer service. Then lets talk about the temperature. 97 degrees. Do not place anything that cannot take the heat. It has to hit 97 degrees before it cools down to 94 degrees. Their website reads indicates temperature max at 80 degrees. Another false advertisement. For all those out there that read these, that are old school. Please be careful coming to public storage. The area is clean, but HOT so they can profit of of us while giving mediocre to poor service. Please have your Insurance ready, otherwise you WILL PAY TWICE FOR INSURANCE & NO ASSISTANCE TO CANCEL OR REIMBURSED. read more

Public Storage charges more per square foot than any other storage company. I paid it and was late from time to time, but they got their extra money, that's how they make a profit. What makes me angry is they don't keep their buildings in good shape. For months last summer the air conditioner was broken in the A building. I was promised they were trying to get someone to fix it. I was worried about my antique furniture getting heat damage. What I found while moving out was There is a roof leak in my unit and thousands of dollars of my items have water damage, and there's mold on everything! Beds are ruined, chair cushions destroyed. I have my own renters insurance and we'll see how this goes. When we move things to examine the items, white mold dust flies into the air! These units have and will have more as the caulking fails on the metal roofs. C.J. the manager is one of the nicest people around and has helped us to the best of her ability. I rented a unit at this property and within less than 24 hours all of my belongings were stolen !!! They rented me a unit that had already been tampered with. CHECK YOUR KEYS UPON MOVING IN. I had assumed they only provide 1 key to your lock. but you get TWO, my additional key just happened to be stolen. When I reported this incident they had me make a police report. Police checked the cameras and they're pointed to the sky!! How convenient!! The office wasn't even open to verify with an employee the key situation. They called my phone to ensure me that everything was safe and set up for my convenience. WRONG!!!!! read more

I just want to take a moment to thank Madeline for all of her great help and work at my new storage unit. She is VERY polite, went above and beyond to accommodate me and explain EVERYTHING to me. She was very thorough and although I know that she was in training, her personality is that of a true customer service representative. I have no doubt she will go far with the company. I also wanted to thank PJ (I believe those are he initials) I think she is a manager, the one who was training Madeline, anyway, she too was a great help and even offered some professional storage advice, to make my space work better for me. Thanks! Side note, I accidentally broke a glass top and it shattered. Madeline was walking by and I asked her if I could borrow the broom and dust pan in her hand and instead of saying yes, she insisted on cleaning it up for me, so that I could keep unloading my truck. nothing like being excited to move in your newly constructed home, only to find on moving day when the movers get to 45 storage that all of your belongings are covered with rat feces. stored all of our belongings there for a short 3 months, in one of their climate controlled units and in a small outdoor one. BOTH units were completely infested. The icing on the cake? Being told by the guy at the counter that they did know there was a rat problem. had to spend thousands to replace mattresses and furniture and baby gear. Thanks 45 storage. read more

Just received an email from P.S. after moving out, below is my response. This email is a perfect representation about what I think about you. A waste of space, false promises and a link to an invalid survey website. "That survey doesn't seem to exist..." Your physical site has mice, flooded and refused to offer any form of compensation. Your actual company ignored my emails, employees gave me bad information and general lack of concern was overwhelming. Calling late after the flood, giving me inopportune time to investigate, and shifting blame away from your awful institution. The list goes on. You guys are horrible. I received several hundred dollars worth of damage from flooding. Additionally you guys did not offer to compensate my over-payment for my paying ahead of time, despite the fact my unit was flooded and I had to get my stuff out anyways. This ridiculous email spam, with an invalid website link, is the final straw. I will now do all the tiny things in my power to re-compensate myself for your horrendous practices. I will now begin writing poor reviews everywhere I can, probably just a copy of this email. I will defer potential customers away from your branded name any chance I get the rest of my life. read more

I called for pricing and was told 1st month $1+ $25 admin fee. This was a little cheaper than the Uhaul storage down the block. I get there to pay and sign papers and now Im told I HAVE to buy their lock $20 and I HAVE to buy monthly insurance $11-13 a month so now instead of the $26 I'm expecting Im at $57+ tax. I asked why they don't advise that upfront that's deceiving and I could've just used the Uhaul a block from the house. She gave me the # to the manager Synda and I called and left a voicemail requested a ca back and never got a return call. read more

If I could give a minus star I would. Everything about this location is an example of how to lose customers. Sure the prices bring you in, but the "customer service" will have you heading for the door. Jennifer is the worst excuse for an employee that there is. Rude isn't a strong enough word. She treated the customer ahead of use worse so I guess I should be thankful I didn't have to interact with her as long. We left quickly and found a much nicer unit elsewhere. I received a call frombupper management willing to work with the price. Seems that she entered the reason we did not rent was due to the prices, all I could do was laugh. I told him the price was amazing, she was not. I let him know that we went with a different company and I was more than willing and I am paying double what they were offering there and was more than hapoy to pay more not to deal with the rude, unprofessional and now lying staff. Terrible place, do not rent from. Other places are cheaper, cleaner, and have extremely friendlier staff. I got a good holiday special deal on a storage unit. After a few months they jacked the rate up without notice. The contract requires 30 day written notice to raise rates, which was never received and all they say is that it was sent. Talked to someone on the phone and that was no help at all. One of the gate code entry things has been broken the entire time. Also, whoever stays at the apartment above the office is one extremely heavy smoker, walking into the office is like walking into a Bingo hall. I have rented from other places before and never had this kind of issue or such terrible customer service. Take your business elsewhere, you will be much happier. read more
