Visiting from Dallas, TX on the way to Broken Bow and we saw a lovely restaurant called Pressa Italia. Everything we had was prepared fresh and my husband's food was hot, just the way he likes it! I had the margarita pizza and Cesar salad and I have to say the crust was perfect with just a tiny but of sweet. I think it was a honey wheat crust. The Cesar salad was definitely one of the best cesar salads I've had. We sat on the patio and I felt like I was visiting an Italian countryside. Would be 4.5 stars buuuut... Had dinner at Pressa Italia and overall, it was a pretty solid experience. The calamari was fantastic--crispy and fresh--and the pizza was just as good. The wine? Out of this world. The waitstaff were sweet, though the service was a bit slow, probably because they seemed overwhelmed by the number of tables. The owner was present, which was nice to see. You can tell they're invested in quality improvement and really care about the overall customer experience, which I appreciate. However, the Bolognese was a miss. It was supposed to feature short rib, but it was lacking in every way--barely any meat and the sauce was bland, just some noodles tossed in flavorless red sauce. It didn't match up with the rest of the food, but otherwise, it was a good night. I'd definitely return, but I'd skip the Bolognese next time. read more

Second time we were here. Last time they were just starting and only open at lunch. This time we tried dinner. It was amazing! Great service and food was outstanding. Manager came over and checked on us as well. The only thing is they are currently not open on Tuesdays so double check because we initially had a reservation and found out they were not open. Their website says closed but Resy allowed a reservation. The manager said they are in the process to get the hours updated. read more

Had dinner one night. Pretty good. Had gluten free pizza, lasagna, short rib ravioli and chicken Alfredo. The Alfredo came with crusted chicken vs grilled. It was good - different- but I would have preferred grilled. Others said food was good. You have to order Italian bread for the table and it $10. My husband and I decided to come here on our last night in Hochatown. We had seen good reviews about the food, but were left disappointed. For an appetizer, we got the mushroom crostini, which was the best thing we ate. My husband got chicken Marsala for his entree and it didn't have any taste at all. He had to ask the waitress for a cup of Parmesan to try and salvage it. After that and some salt, it was edible enough. I got the pesto chicken pasta and it didn't really taste like pesto at all. The chicken wasn't seasoned and the noodles were overcooked and mushy. It's highly disappointing walking into such a cute restaurant and getting food that doesn't even taste good. And for almost $25 a plate, we definitely could have gone somewhere else for something better. I'm giving 2 stars because our waitress was very attentive and polite. read more

Very dissapointing experience. The food was mediocre for how expensive it was. Bread was too doughy, the "garlic butter" fully was butter with garlic powder. The "homemade" cesar salad dressing was watery, another salad was drenched in vinaigrette that was way too citrusy. The pizzas weren't bad but definitely not worth the price. Pressa is a great stop if you're craving Italian and an aesthetic ambiance when visiting Broken Bow or Hochatown. Food was delicious - definitely recommend the short rib ragu, the Charles pizza, and tiramisu to round out the evening. We had a good dinner here, however it was strange that Secondi section was missing all together, so it was All Card restaurant- pizzas and pastas. The Chopped salad was great, but small, pizza had great flavor , but could use more meat and arugula, shrimp scampi was good, but linguine was somewhat bland, needed more flavor to my taste, a side of mushrooms was delicious, but Tiramisu was just perfect. I recently spent a lovely late Valentine's Day weekend in Broken Bow with my girlfriend from February 20th to 23rd. We stayed in a charming cabin nearby and had dinner reservations at Pressa for Saturday night. This was our third visit to the restaurant within 8 months, where we've consistently enjoyed good service. However, this time it felt like a major girls' night out, with numerous all-female parties taking over the tables. The restaurant was busier than I had ever seen, with staff combining two or even three tables to accommodate everyone. I always make reservations in advance since walk-ins can be challenging, and this experience reinforced that necessity. Our only downside was that after ordering drinks, we each received just a glass of wine instead of our usual bottle, and it took longer than usual to get even that. Once we received the wine, our food arrived just moments later, so I didn't get the chance to enjoy wine beforehand. But it's okay--we'll be back next time! read more

I've been to broken bow several times and let me just say thank goodness they have a restaurant now with actual delicious food! Not knocking the area but most of the restaurants are ehhhh, edible but not memorable. Grateful Head was the only one I never minded going back to.... But it still wasn't my favorite. We normally just cook at our cabins. Pressa is not only aesthetically beautiful the food is also beautiful when it comes out and tastes great. The building itself doesn't even look like it belongs in BB; but I love that it's there! The menu has a great selection, the pricing is on the higher side, but it's worth it to me, especially with the quality of food you're getting. Nothing tastes packaged and I love that. The service was really great also compared to other places we've been, and everyone was super friendly. Definitely a spot to try out if in town. read more

It's neat place to eat, but it's nothing worthy of the pricing. The bruschetta was delish but the chicken alfredo wasn't anything to write home about. Being from the Philly area, this "Italian" cuisine is ok. The open area was interesting to look at, but it echoed badly. Also, the "wine wall" is stocked with wines that are able to be purchased at Walmart. They wanted to charge $45 for a bottle of wine that sells at Walmart for $13... buyer beware. read more

Great Find!!! We were on vacation and found this little gem. The food was wonderful and everything tastes so fresh. We had a calzone which was HUGE but so good, The lasagna was great! We came here about an hour before they closed on a Saturday night. We were celebrating a birthday in our party of 8. We opted to sit outside due to our large party and there was only one other party seated outside. The owner ensured someone was helping us and getting a table ready which was very nice of her. After ordering, the issue we had was with how long it took for our food to come out. When it did come out it was not all together. It was a very long wait for the food with only the charcuterie board coming out timely. After about an hour of waiting, the waiter informed me that in fact they don't have lasagna available and I needed to pick something else at no charge. I chose a pizza and had to wait long for this too. We had to wait a long time for dessert and our party was ready to go, and had to wait long for the check. All the waiting around really soured the experience which otherwise had good tasting food. Not sure what happened tonight with all this waiting but I can't give more than three stars even though the food was decent. read more

The chicken pesto sandwich was like eating shoe leather. We expected it to be grilled but was deep fried into oblivion. So dry and tasteless. This restaurant is high end and expensive. The atmosphere is lovely. Our server was very attentive. Highly recommend paying $9 for the bread. Our pizza - the hot honey - was heavy on honey and light on cheese. It needed mozzarella not just a little goat cheese. The crust was tasty but we skipped the bringing leftovers home. The caprese avocado salad was good but ours didn't have any mozzarella in it. Others at our table ordered lasagna, which they loved, bland tortellini and an amazing salad with shrimp. The high point of our meal, other than the lovely atmosphere and attentive service, was giggling about a memorable bruschetta appetizer that looked like tomato mush. We came here for a weekend getaway, this place wasn't on any of our recommended lists, but we saw it from the highway and did some research. So glad we ended up here, casual but inviting vibes, great outdoor seating, rotating menu, great wine selection, great service. The owner even came by and talked to us for a while. All in all a lovely experience. Would gladly recommend to anyone coming this way! Get the Tortellini Quatro Formaggi with the pesto sauce instead of the Parmesan cream.
