Couch by the fireplace to enjoy a glass of wine
    Jenna L.

This place has been around for over a decade, and I just discovered it - truly a hidden gem even though it's right off the main highway (259) closer to south Hochatown. Seasonal Mulled Wine - Tastes just like hot apple cider except it's wine mixed with apple cider via whatever process they use. I enjoyed a glass of it by their Christmas-decorated fireplace and bought several bottles to take home. It's a MUST if you are there around the Christmas holiday. Six free tastings is a nice start when you walk into the front door! I tried all of the dry reds, but they also have whites, muscadines, and other wines to try. The Cabernet was tasty, so I also bought a bottle of it (under $25). Their wines tasted more like legit wines as opposed to some of the popular touristy "wineries" in the area who sell based on cheesy marketing. They have a small gift shop by the bar with funny tea towels and other wine-related items. The conjoined bistro and outside patio has great seating; I loved the couch by the fireplace for sips. The staff was kind and engaged in fun conversation. I look forward to visiting this place again on my next Broken Bow trip and trying the food.

Cutthroat Pinot Noir. My taste buds love it.

A visit to Broken Bow is not complete without stopping at a few wineries. Fish Tales was #2 on our list. I did a red flight and my wife did a white. Many times while in the moment you buy some bottles that you tasted only to open one once home to think "why did I buy this?" Not the case with Cuttthroat Pinot Noir as I just opened a bottle at home and like it more than I remember it tasting at the time. I need to buy some more bottles. Owner was very friendly. We will be back.

Warm bread and herbed olive oil

Oh wow! It has been a while since we have visited and our daughter, son-in-law and grandson were visiting Hochatown with us and we decided to go to an old standby of ours. You wouldn't think warm bread and herbed olive oil would be so exciting....but you would be WRONG! Absolutely perfect toasted mini french loaves that were crispy on the outside and nice and soft inside and the olive oil tasted like very good quality olive oil. I love the big flakes of salt on the bread. Piping hot and delicious! Emily was our server and she was a delight! Excellent service at the wine tasting bar and at the table. We sat outside and the patio was perfect.

2024- Yelp 100 Challenge - #49 Stopped in to pick up a charcuterie board to enjoy with my family at the cabin. While waiting we enjoyed wine tasting and ended up purchasing a bottle. All the items on the menu look delicious and our charcuterie board was very tasty. My family and I plan on returning to dine in, and plan on ordering another board to enjoy at the cabin. Staff were friendly and parking is located out front.

A total hidden gem! Do not sleep on this place. We tried all the wines and overall loved many of them. My favorite was the blueberry (I think it was a Merlot.) The dip sampler is the BEST EFFING THING in Broken Bow. I'm not exaggerating. Seriously get it. We also tried the brisket panini and pulled pork panini. It was so amazing we came back a day later and tried the grilled cheese and tomato soup, and got the dips again!

This place was great! I was in town visiting and we stumbled across this place during lunchtime. We had a decent sized group (7) and they were able to accommodate us inside. We started off with the dip flight and all of them were very tasty. It comes with tortilla chips and bread. Next, I ordered the apple-bacon Gouda sandwich and I really enjoyed it. The service was great although they were extremely busy. The food may take a while to come out since they don't have a lot of staff support but they are kind. They have a bar right when you walk in, a few tables in the adjacent room, and a big patio outside to enjoy your food or alcoholic beverage. Happy eating. Peace.

Small but cute mom/pop family restaurant connected to their little winery. You order from a small menu (mostly salads, fancy fruity paninis , or sandwiches...& charcuterie) then head back to the wine shop and try 6 FREE wine tastings then head back to your table. Food may take a bit bc they're prepared fresh to order. I had the apple walnut salad and the pear apricot panini. They were really fresh and delicious but the sweetness can but overwhelming. Pickles are really good. My daughter and husband had the potatoes soup which was strangely very chunky chunks of potatoes and not soupy at all. The sandwiches come with potatoe chips. Overall I enjoyed my lunch!

Definitely would recommend coming, staff was SO friendly! Wine was delicious, and paired well with foods they had to offer. Beautiful store and tables were plentiful !

DIP FLIGHT - Crab and Artichoke, Goat Cheese, Spinach and Bacon, and Jalapeno Popper
    Robert M.

Enough variety of dry / sweet wines to find one you like after the six (free) tastings. My preference was the CUTTHROAT Pinot Noir. Went well with the tasty dip flight and charcuterie. Nice environment, fine service.

Amazing hospitality! The jalapeño popper dip is so good! I got the Greek chicken salad. The lettuce and everything was super fresh, and everything was flavorful. My son and hubby had panini's and enjoyed their sandwiches. I tried their wine tasting where you get 6 free tastings and then choose the wine of your choice to drink by glass. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area!

Their wine and glass my recreation!

We are still enjoying all the wine we bought in April on our monthly road trip. We loved spending the day at Fish Tales Winery & Bistro, wine and food were both amazing! Inspired so many new food Ideas we have regularly now. We can not wait to return, only wish is we would have found them earlier. Travis

Awesome food and wine paired with great service is always a win. We shared the Dip flight and the Blackberry Bacon jalapeño panini and both were amazing! Paired with a few glasses of wine it was a great lunch for two. Highly recommend!

Service was good and so was the food. Fresh is the best way to describe the food. The bacon in my sandwich was crunchy crispy just I like it. The jalapeño popper dip was really good also. I will be back and the service was Friendly also.

I have been to a couple winery's in Hochatown and most of the wines taste like water, BUT NOT HERE.

We quickly learned that there's no wineries in Broken Bow and all of the local 'wineries' make their wine from concentrate often brought in from California. Which is okay, and the prices reflects the quality, we're just not the biggest fans of the wine. The wine tasting itself was so rushed! There's no stools at the bar and it seemed like a very "out of place" experience. However, it's free and you're able to try a good bit of different wines. Their wine slushes are DELICIOUS! You can add a wine floater and in my first one, I added a floater of a dry white and it was refreshing and exciting. I noticed the frozen slushes in to-go bags by the exit and I think it would be so perfect for a hot summer day or floating the river! We grabbed three to enjoy at home! Overall - if you like sweet/simple wine, this place is probably for you... Go with low expectations if you're a wine snob, but definitely go!

Charles has poured his passion into these meals and I can tell you they can hang with any 4 star restaurant in Dallas. As far as the wines, we all know the pallet of southeast Oklahoma generally tilts to the sweet side and Charles has some sweets that really surprised me, not overly sweet. There are four drys on the menu. My favorite was the reserve cabernet, $20 for a bottle. Beer is available btw. The tasting room is great, cozy feel. Construction starts in March on a live music pavillion.. The winery is surrounded by around 10 acres of grapes. It seems like I was told they should start producing in a couple years as they are very young. Good views of the grounds from the restaurant. I have faith Charles is going to grow this into a real destination with a great reputation. Also barbecue is about to be added and Charles has promised it will rival Salt Lick in Austin!
