A fresh review was necessary since there has been an upgrade to the food truck situation. Smash…read moreand Dash took over the food truck located in the Beavers Bend Brewery yard. The menu still has the gourmet hot dogs and quesadillas. However, the new menu includes numerous smash burger choices, nachos, and other street food favorites. All of your munchie needs can be met here! We wanted to give the new food truck digs a try and we ordered mushroom swiss burger with added bacon and of course, our favorite, the Three Squirts hot dog. We took both home with us and they were packaged very well for the take out order. The food was fantastic and we were pretty impressed by the burger. It is one of my new favorites of the county. They used wagyu beef patties and the burger was rich and juicy. An excellent burger. While we waited for our food we enjoyed a cold refreshing brew on the patio. I had the Strawberry Ale and my husband had the Blonde Beaver Ale.

Now imagine, a brewery that's unexpected, dog, friendly, kid friendly, adult friendly, bring your own food, bring your own board/card game, enjoy the vibes of good time, and vacation relaxing. I can't wait to come again in the summer or spring. My spouse and I were in town the week of New Year's in this place was busy! They had a gourmet hot dog stand/ truck outside in the front of the brewery. This isn't a typical brewery set up when you walk in, there's a gift shop you order a beer right there with from friendly staff. It was a 50+ degree "winter" day, it felt natural to order a stout beer. The beers were on the more pricey side, but the beverage comes with complementary glassware to take home. It was weird, but it felt kind of natural that there were people under 21 since there was the hotdog stand and we brought our six month old baby. There are a few people with dogs, which I would recommend. I somehow ordered the best peanut butter stout I've ever had, which was a variation of their Opossum Pouch Stout. My spouse got a pumpkin spice brown ale, which was a variation of their Bigfoot Brown Ale. I won't lie, but normally I go halves with my spouse that comes to food and drinks... However, I was happy not to share my peanut butter stout. I can't wait to come again

The whiskey is between 3-4 years old and drinks very hot and not well developed. This is no Still Austin, SA pulls off some sort of alchemy with their young whiskeys. I like high proof whiskey (Short Barrel American Light whiskey is 145 proof, JD Single Barrels, Rare Breed, Stagg, etc). Those are world class complex pours with sub $100 MSRP. I understand needing to run a business, but $100+ for each of their bottles is not in line with the product they are putting out. If I paid $50 I would be disappointed. At $100+...I would be furious. If you just want to get drunk on vacation and go on a tour...come for that.

I saw a video on Tik Tok by a well known hair salon owner in Dallas recommending him - LEGIT! Our hand-selected menu: - Prime Grade 16 oz Ribeye - American Wagyu 20 oz - Caesar salad (requested no anchovies but he usually adds them) - Brussels and crispy pork belly - Mushroom risotto - Smoked Gouda Mac and cheese - Herbed fresh green beans - Chocolate whiskey cake He will take custom food orders as well (even fresh seafood!). I cannot explain how EVERY bite of every item had incredible flavor. Delicious is an understatement. Chef Phil cooked, cleaned (counter/stove tops, took out the trash, loaded and started dishwasher), and provided nice to-go containers for leftovers. He did everything within 2 hours of arrival for two of us. The leftovers the next day were just as flavorful as freshly served! Reserve your date WELL in advance as his schedule stays full. Is it affordable? YES! I paid Chef Phil the same amount as going to a 5 star steak restaurant in Tulsa or Dallas and that included his time/travel (he should charge more!). The food was 5 star quality as well; actually, better! Besides being an amazing cook, Chef Phil is a kind, personable guy. It was a pleasure having him in our cabin, and we will use him on all future cabin trips!
