A friend and I were in the area for three nights on all girls trip and I used Yelp to find our places to eat. Abendigo's was an excellent find! Plenty of parking available as well as dining areas. We were greeted and seated quickly. Classified as southern cuisine, the menu had a nice variety of choices. I chose the Chicken Madeira which was incredible as were the mashed potatoes and asparagus spears. I had a big bite of my friend's Brisket taco and was truly the best brisket I've eaten; so tender and flavorful. I was pleased to see local beer choices on the menu. Super slow service. Got here for a dinner reservation with kids, and didn't get our food until at least one kid from the group was fast asleep an hour later. The food is overpriced considering the meh quality, but clearly the owner knows tourist options are fairly limited due to the relative remoteness of the location in the area. If you are looking for a "fancy" restaurant in Broken Bow, this is probably the closest to one we saw during our weekend stay, but it falls far short when even compared to basic restaurants in the relatively close by big city of the DFW Metroplex just a few hours to the South West of the area. Stick with camping food. Whatever you bring to town to cook in your cabin / Air B&B will probably be better than what they have here. read more

We went to Abendigo's to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, and it did NOT disappoint!!!!! We started with the chips, queso, salsa, and guacamole all so good and the beer was ice cold. The piña colada on the rocks was super flavorful and the perfect treat!!! For my main course, I ordered the brisket tacos, and I'm so glad I did. They were packed with incredible flavor, juicy, and honestly to die for! My husband ordered the filet with loaded mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. The service was top-notch, the ambiance was amazing, and they even had a fun little gift shop to browse. Overall, it was the perfect place to celebrate our 20th anniversary. This place is amazing. I promise that we will visit ever time that we come to visit broken bow. There is an outdoor area that is well lit and they often have live music. The inside gives a very cozy low lit date night vibe. Service was amazing!!! I wish that I could remember our waitresses name because she was amazing. She was on top of everything, gave recommendation, talked with us but wasn't too much!! The food- wedge salad (please take my advice and get this item it was amazing) The egg rolls - my fiancé said this was his favorite thing it was amazing. What makes it so good is the cilantro sauce on the side so make sure you use it Homemade chicken Alfredo- chicken was so tender and the pasta and sauce had such a good flavor Salmon, Mac and cheese and broccolini- I do not normally order salmon but it was very good. My only complaint is I wish there was more of the sauce that they put on top. The Mac and cheese was pretty average (even tho everyone else's reviews say it is amazing) and the broccolini was good but just nothing special. Overall, this place is def 5 stars. The feel of the restaurant was amazing. Very nice atmosphere. The waitstaff were very polite. We enjoyed the salsa, queso, and Guac as an appetizer. The appetizers were amazing. I was very, very satisfied by the appetizers. I got House Burger for my entree. The burger was not as "elevated" as I hoped it would be considering the $22 price point. The Truffle Gouda Mac N' Cheese wasn't anything to die for (I dare say I was slightly disappointed by the Mac n cheese). We had reservations for 6:30 and were seated early, right around 6:00, which was a good start to the evening. I ordered the 8 oz filet ($46), and it was excellent; very tender, cooked right, and full of flavor. Honestly, the steak was the star of the plate. I barely touched the mashed potatoes and vegetables that came with it, not because they were bad, but because the filet didn't need any help. My wife ordered the chicken Madeira ($26), and it was very good as well; well prepared and flavorful. For dessert, we split the crème brûlée ($10.99), which was also very good and a nice way to finish the meal. On top of the solid food and service, they offer a 20% military discount, which is greatly appreciated and says a lot about the place. Overall, a great dining experience with quality food and respect for their customers. This is a spot we would definitely return to. read more

I just recently visited Broken Bow for a girls weekend with my best friend and we decided our Friday evening would be well spent at Abendigo's! A great choice indeed. You have to walk through the gift shop to get to the restaurant, which is genius on their part. They have really great boutique and souvenir items. If you love Consuela bags, bring your money! They have some of the prettiest ones in stock. We sat outside on the patio. Even though it was chilly they have heaters running and they will move them to make you warmer. The service was outstanding. Our waitress was really awesome and attentive. I ordered the Apple cider and it was perfect and refreshing. For an appetizer we ordered chips, salsa, and guacamole. The chips are homemade, delicious, and crispy! And both the salsa and guacamole hit the spot, you can't go wrong. For my dinner I ordered the 12 oz ribeye, medium rare, with mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables. The steak was a little thin so they definitely over cooked it to medium but it was still a great steak. It was huge! The sides were good as well, definitely a comfort meal. I ended up taking half my meal to go and ate it the next day. I have already suggested this restaurant to my family that are visiting soon and hope they enjoy! read more

I was really hoping to like this place more than I did. The atmosphere is great. Lots of seating options from quiet corners to lively bar area to outdoors with live music. However the food was disappointing for the price we paid. It wasn't bad food. We got the ribeye, decent but way too much fat for a $40 steak. I do recommend the calamari appetizer. Service was quick at first but once our food arrived it was spotty. If the prices were lowered by 20% this would have been a different experience for us. read more

Atmosphere was nice but food was very average. Unfortunately it's the only "nice" restaurant in town so you're kind of forced to go there. Definitely plan ahead and get a reservation because we waited about an hour without one. We also had to ask for a waitress because we sat there for 15 min without any waitress and they never assigned one to our table. We also never got one of our appetizers and at first they asked if we still wanted it. They finally decided to give it to us for free which I feel was the right thing. read more

Food is wonderful! I have tried the brisket tacos, filet, Mac n cheese, garlic mashed potatoes, salmon, broccoli, Cajun pasta, calamari, and chicken egg rolls. All of the food was so good, the flavors were paired well, and cooked to perfection! My husband wants to note that the calamari was AMAZING. The service was wonderful during both of our visits. The inside ambiance is a little more upscale with mood lighting and quieter music. The outdoor seating area has live music, a full bar and picnic tables for seating. We enjoyed both equally! This is our favorite place for date night when we are in Hochatown. I enjoy dining here on Friday nights as it is nowhere near as busy as it is on Saturday evening when they have live music, is super crowded and loud for those who are sensitive about those things. If you go to listen to live music you may just order appetizers to share. If you do multiple courses or want a more formal dining experience, I would stick with Friday evening or another weekday evening. You will also want to order multiple courses as you complete them. Order appetizers first, finish them and order the second course, for example. The last time we dined here, we ordered everything at the same time and just about everything arrived at the same time and it was a little overwhelming. It may be helpful to ask your server how the food timing is that night to determine your plan of "attack." The wine list is small but more than adequate. They also have a nice beer list with local beers included. Hey! Back in the day, you had to purchase your wine outside of the restaurant at maybe Girls Gone Wine or local liquor store and bring to the restaurant before the laws changed! Pretty crazy to think about now. We order the southwest eggrolls and the sauteed mushrooms. Man! The appetizer game here is very strong. I suggest the Sicilian Nachos too but we did not order them this time. The eggrolls are delicious and have a very nice cilantro dipping sauce. The creamy sauteed mushrooms; I am telling you, that sauce is to die for. We enjoy splitting the 8 ounce filet and we got the blue cheese and port wine glaze. It was served with sauteed spinach and lovely skin in mashed potatoes. The star of the show for this meal was the wedge salad. It was absolutely incredible and I enjoyed the fried onion strings that gave some added crunch. It was the only item that we completely finished and we brought the rest of what was left back with us. I will be featuring the leftover steak, sauteed mushrooms, and sauteed spinach in a nice mushroom pasta dish for dinner this evening. I will be adding the leftover prime rib (from nearby Mountain Man Meat Market by the way) to the mix with the leftover jus to the pasta sauce. How could that be bad? Anyway, I digress. I think it is important to note some of the other dishes that we have enjoyed during prior trips to Abendigo's. We enjoy the ribeyes, the Crispy Salmon (divine!), Chicken Madeira, Brisket Tacos, Pasta Louisiana and Truffle Fries. I enjoy all of the sides but from what I remember the Truffle Gouda Macaroni and Cheese was pretty special. Our server Madison was so sweet, attentive and very efficient. I would ask for her again for sure. We have almost always had exceptional service here. The only time it was not stellar was when we were with a very large group on a Saturday night when live music was playing. That is why I made the recommendation above about keeping your dining experience more casual and just order appys to share and enjoy the music and the people watching. Abendigo's does really nice homemade dessert and the best coffee. The owner has travelled extensively to research his coffee setup and it does not disappoint. It was chilly out while we were there and the heaters and wind walls were out in full force and it looked so cozy out there. We dined inside near the bar. It is our favorite area to sit in. Do not sleep on the gift shop located in the front room of the restaurant. I have gone a bit crazy in that gift shop buying Christmas gifts after that extra glass of wine. Oopsie! The items and displays are carefully curated and you are sure to find a thing or two or three to take home with you. Bottom line.....WE LOVE ABENDIGOS and will return when we can. read more

We'd been traveling all day and I had shorts on, so I had to find a spot that didn't scratch my legs. That would've been fine, I suppose, BUT after the hostess left us with our menus and took our drink orders, we waited and waited for someone to come take our order. If you are ever near Broken Bow, Ok, I highly recommend Abendigo's. It's only about a mile from the Choctaw Casino in Hochatown. It's has a cute gift shop, but the food, service and live music is incredible. The food is fresh and well made, fast friendly service and live music on a stage outback. We had the Chicken Alfredo, the Louisiana Pasta, loaded Baked Potato and the sautéed veggies. Everything was so delicious. I hope you get to try it, it's too good, not to be shared. read more

I want to first start off by thanking the owners of this restaurant for caring enough to actually have homemade gravy. Too many places cut corners and make poor excuses. The quality of the food here is amazing and their selection of locally brewed beers does not disappoint. Honestly, the only gripe I have is that your steaks (filet and ribeye) feel too pricey. Maybe they're worth it? I don't know. All I can say is that I greatly enjoyed the food pictured below. The pork chop was amazing and so was the chicken fried steak. The pork chop was $30, which is where I feel the steaks should be at their cheapest. $35 is a nice compromise. The food was great and the service was special! For the appetizer we had the chicken egg rolls and calamari. Both were very delicious! The calamari is thick strips and tender so they actually know how to cook it here. We had steak and salmon at our table and they were also very good. I would not recommend the blue cheese glaze on the steaks but the meat was cooked well and the mashed potatoes were good too. Our waitress was very attentive and kind. Overall the experience was nice and we enjoyed it! I would recommend other visitors to check it out. Just know going in that it is a bit more pricey and a reservation is highly recommended. They have an outdoor area they heat up to offer as an overflow which was fine for our group as we didn't have a reservation but I can imagine that it gets full for core dinner time. read more

We made reservation s for a very early dinner at 4:15 (they open at 4 p.m.) on a Saturday. There was a line forming on the porch and through the gift shop before they opened. We were seated quickly and waited on by a lovely lady bringing us water and getting drink orders. Drinks were enjoyable ... beer, old fashioned and a Margarita.
