Best food we've had in this area! Portions were large and it was all fresh made. There was a wait but this spot is organized and knows how to work it so multiple tables are sat and served at once. The service was great, we will definitely be back.

My family and I had a great breakfast at Steven's Gap Restaurant! We were immediately greeted and seated, we got there at the right time because about 15 minutes into our visit, there wasn't a seat left in the house! The waitress was incredibly nice and very fast to take our order. She checked on us multiple times throughout the meal and made sure that we had plenty of coffee. I was very impressed with her as there were only one or two waitresses and she was doing her best with everything/everyone. Our food was very good. My wife said that the pancakes were the best that she had in a long time. They were absolutely massive and had a great flavor to them. My breakfast sandwich was quite good (I got the sausage) and the potato cubes were seasoned perfectly. Steven's gap is definitely a place where we will be back to and I highly recommend you check it out too!

Food and service was great! I loved the potatoes. Get there early if you want biscuits they sell out quick.

Mountain Fork Brewery - Boudin eggrolls

Unfortunately, somewhere along the line the appetizer never got put in, so we didn't receive the boudin egg rolls at all. That was a miss, especially since that's something we were looking forward to trying. That said, the burgers absolutely made up for it. Both were cooked right and had great flavor. Solid, well-done burgers that hit the mark. No complaints there. We also grabbed a blueberry cheesecake to go, which turned out to be a great call. It was rich, flavorful, and a good way to finish things off. Service hiccup aside, the food quality, at least on the burgers and dessert, was strong. Worth stopping in, just keep an eye on your order.

The overall look and cleanness of the place was great. Just wish that the food and service were better. The blackberry cider was amazing. Update to previous review: came here a second time because it was the only thing open late. Let me tell you the second time impressed me. The service was great today and the food was amazing. We did the build your own burger and it was so good and flavorful!!! Burger came with fries which is a plus. Ranch is still amazing and blackberry cider is just as good as the night before. Tonight we got the Cesar salad and it was also very good. If I could, I would give it a 4.5 stars!!!

We sat at the bar and the bartender is beyond lovely. She was very sweet, warm and welcoming. I got an "adult" cherry limeade and my husband got a glass of the smal batch Hochatown whiskey. Both were fantastic. My limeade was both tart with a hint of sweetness- very refreshing and exactly what I wanted after a hike. To start we got the fried mushrooms, they were hot and fresh and delicious! Not too overly bartered and super juicy. I got ranch and my husband got bbq sauce and both are delicious- you can tell they're both made in house! The bbq sauce has a hint of spiciness that we loved. We split the Yard Bird half portion spicy and it was HUGE. Great portion and great flavor!! Super juicy and not overly spicy. We got it with fries, beans and an extra side of fried okra. All I can say is that they're all fantastic and it was exactly what we were hoping for. Very casual place but it was exactly what we were lookin for. Great for couples and families. Go check it out!!

However, we stopped in to the pizza spot near by and it was open so we ordered to go for my youngest son. He got the chicken tenders and fries and they were hot and fresh out the fryer! Even better that they tasted really good for what it was. Upon entering, you could tell it was a quaint local spot that probably had a handful of regulars during the week. They had outdoor seating and a cute bar area where some folks were relaxing. The staff was very friendly and quick to help us with our to go order. We will surely be back and can hopefully sit down to enjoy a meal to see how the other food is.

Right off the bat, their draft beer machine wasn't working, so we stuck with water and a soda. After being seated, there was a noticeable delay before our waitress came back. She explained she was dealing with an issue on another customer's credit card, which slowed things down. We started with the fried pickles. They were very good. Crispy, well-seasoned, and cooked right, but the portion felt a little light for an appetizer. For the main, we shared the Oklahoma country fried steak with mashed potatoes and white gravy. That was the highlight. The steak had a solid crust with good flavor, and everything on the plate was done right. No complaints there. Overall, the food was strong, especially the country fried steak, but the service and the draft beer situation held it back some. If they tighten that up, it'd be a much better experience.

The drinks were okay and very average - it wouldn't keep us away or bring us back! As an appetizer, we had the fried Swiss cheese. It was definitely different and interesting in comparison to your mozzarella, but it was cool to try! I wouldn't reorder. My husband had a 8oz. Sirloin with a side of corn and I had the chicken tenders with fries. The chicken tenders were delicious, but the frozen crinkle cut fries dampened the whole meal - for almost $20 for chicken tenders, I would've loved some house made or hand battered fries! The rolls with each meal were good, but could've used some butter! The steak was well cooked and the corn had good flavor! Everything was mediocre overall, we would likely come back on account of the chicken tenders, but wouldn't run back for anything else.
