Great people. Family restaurant. If you have grown up around lake towns your expectations will be met. Local cafe feel with great burgers.

    MY ANGER

This place is not good I waited almost an hour to get my food there was almost no options for breakfast on my menu and one of the waitresses were gossiping and not giving refill

    Patty melt with jalapeños

Small restaurant, wasn't super busy when we went. Food came out fast and the servers were friendly. I got a cheeseburger with tots and my husband got a patty melt with grilled jalapeños. The burger was handmade, it was just ok. I wasn't a huge fan, but it wasn't the worst thing I've had. My husband absolutely loved his patty melt. He did say it was slightly dry but other than that it was great. Tator tots were cooked nicely as well.

    Fish and shrimp combo

Another solid performance from Beaver's Bend Restaurant. We went for lunch as I wanted to try their catfish. This is how catfish should be made, with cornmeal and not flour. It was delicious!! The fish was the star and they did not over do it. I would recommend. The okra was flavorful and the onion rings were a hit. Most places over compensate the onion with breading, once again, they did not. The onion was the star. They are big and worth a try. Be patient with the staff as they are busy, but very friendly!! Please give them a try.

Beware, the address on n Yelp is not correct. It's nothing fancy and it could use a good dusting (TVs especially). But the food was good.

Best breakfast in Hochatown. The atmosphere is just plain. Single room with tables but service is great and food is consistently excellent.

Right off the bat, their draft beer machine wasn't working, so we stuck with water and a soda. After being seated, there was a noticeable delay before our waitress came back. She explained she was dealing with an issue on another customer's credit card, which slowed things down. We started with the fried pickles. They were very good. Crispy, well-seasoned, and cooked right, but the portion felt a little light for an appetizer. For the main, we shared the Oklahoma country fried steak with mashed potatoes and white gravy. That was the highlight. The steak had a solid crust with good flavor, and everything on the plate was done right. No complaints there. Overall, the food was strong, especially the country fried steak, but the service and the draft beer situation held it back some. If they tighten that up, it'd be a much better experience.

The drinks were okay and very average - it wouldn't keep us away or bring us back! As an appetizer, we had the fried Swiss cheese. It was definitely different and interesting in comparison to your mozzarella, but it was cool to try! I wouldn't reorder. My husband had a 8oz. Sirloin with a side of corn and I had the chicken tenders with fries. The chicken tenders were delicious, but the frozen crinkle cut fries dampened the whole meal - for almost $20 for chicken tenders, I would've loved some house made or hand battered fries! The rolls with each meal were good, but could've used some butter! The steak was well cooked and the corn had good flavor! Everything was mediocre overall, we would likely come back on account of the chicken tenders, but wouldn't run back for anything else.

I saw a video on Tik Tok by a well known hair salon owner in Dallas recommending him - LEGIT! Our hand-selected menu: - Prime Grade 16 oz Ribeye - American Wagyu 20 oz - Caesar salad (requested no anchovies but he usually adds them) - Brussels and crispy pork belly - Mushroom risotto - Smoked Gouda Mac and cheese - Herbed fresh green beans - Chocolate whiskey cake He will take custom food orders as well (even fresh seafood!). I cannot explain how EVERY bite of every item had incredible flavor. Delicious is an understatement. Chef Phil cooked, cleaned (counter/stove tops, took out the trash, loaded and started dishwasher), and provided nice to-go containers for leftovers. He did everything within 2 hours of arrival for two of us. The leftovers the next day were just as flavorful as freshly served! Reserve your date WELL in advance as his schedule stays full. Is it affordable? YES! I paid Chef Phil the same amount as going to a 5 star steak restaurant in Tulsa or Dallas and that included his time/travel (he should charge more!). The food was 5 star quality as well; actually, better! Besides being an amazing cook, Chef Phil is a kind, personable guy. It was a pleasure having him in our cabin, and we will use him on all future cabin trips!

We sat at the bar and the bartender is beyond lovely. She was very sweet, warm and welcoming. I got an "adult" cherry limeade and my husband got a glass of the smal batch Hochatown whiskey. Both were fantastic. My limeade was both tart with a hint of sweetness- very refreshing and exactly what I wanted after a hike. To start we got the fried mushrooms, they were hot and fresh and delicious! Not too overly bartered and super juicy. I got ranch and my husband got bbq sauce and both are delicious- you can tell they're both made in house! The bbq sauce has a hint of spiciness that we loved. We split the Yard Bird half portion spicy and it was HUGE. Great portion and great flavor!! Super juicy and not overly spicy. We got it with fries, beans and an extra side of fried okra. All I can say is that they're all fantastic and it was exactly what we were hoping for. Very casual place but it was exactly what we were lookin for. Great for couples and families. They had outdoor seating and a cute bar area where some folks were relaxing. The staff was very friendly and quick to help us with our to go order. We will surely be back and can hopefully sit down to enjoy a meal to see how the other food is.
