I saw a video on Tik Tok by a well known hair salon owner in Dallas recommending him - LEGIT! Our hand-selected menu: - Prime Grade 16 oz Ribeye - American Wagyu 20 oz - Caesar salad (requested no anchovies but he usually adds them) - Brussels and crispy pork belly - Mushroom risotto - Smoked Gouda Mac and cheese - Herbed fresh green beans - Chocolate whiskey cake He will take custom food orders as well (even fresh seafood!). I cannot explain how EVERY bite of every item had incredible flavor. Delicious is an understatement. Chef Phil cooked, cleaned (counter/stove tops, took out the trash, loaded and started dishwasher), and provided nice to-go containers for leftovers. He did everything within 2 hours of arrival for two of us. The leftovers the next day were just as flavorful as freshly served! Reserve your date WELL in advance as his schedule stays full. Is it affordable? YES! I paid Chef Phil the same amount as going to a 5 star steak restaurant in Tulsa or Dallas and that included his time/travel (he should charge more!). The food was 5 star quality as well; actually, better! Besides being an amazing cook, Chef Phil is a kind, personable guy. It was a pleasure having him in our cabin, and we will use him on all future cabin trips!

Meat grilled up very pretty and was super tender. You can pickup everything you need for a complete meal and go back to your cabin and half a great steak for half the price of any restaurant. We sat at the bar and the bartender is beyond lovely. She was very sweet, warm and welcoming. I got an "adult" cherry limeade and my husband got a glass of the smal batch Hochatown whiskey. Both were fantastic. My limeade was both tart with a hint of sweetness- very refreshing and exactly what I wanted after a hike. To start we got the fried mushrooms, they were hot and fresh and delicious! Not too overly bartered and super juicy. I got ranch and my husband got bbq sauce and both are delicious- you can tell they're both made in house! The bbq sauce has a hint of spiciness that we loved. We split the Yard Bird half portion spicy and it was HUGE. Great portion and great flavor!! Super juicy and not overly spicy. We got it with fries, beans and an extra side of fried okra. All I can say is that they're all fantastic and it was exactly what we were hoping for. Very casual place but it was exactly what we were lookin for. Great for couples and families. Go check it out!!

However, we stopped in to the pizza spot near by and it was open so we ordered to go for my youngest son. He got the chicken tenders and fries and they were hot and fresh out the fryer! Even better that they tasted really good for what it was. Upon entering, you could tell it was a quaint local spot that probably had a handful of regulars during the week. They had outdoor seating and a cute bar area where some folks were relaxing. The staff was very friendly and quick to help us with our to go order. We will surely be back and can hopefully sit down to enjoy a meal to see how the other food is.

Then today,…read moreI call the SAME EXACT order in, wait minutes in the drive though- Never got through it, so I went inside and waited another 8 minutes. Okay, FINE! FINALLY get to the counter and tell them I'm ready to pick the order up, guy takes his time getting to the back and then he finally makes it back to me to say "we can't make this. But can do popcorn shrimp. We've never done this"! 1st off, that's a d*mn lie, because yall done it last week. 2nd of all, if you don't have the intelligence or WANT TOO, to do it again, then why couldn't someone call me 45 effing minutes ago and let me know you didn't WANT TOO, before I waisted my ENTIRE lunch break on it? Why do you get peoples numbers if don't have the common decency to call and let them know that for WHATEVER REASON, you decided today is going to be the day to not do what is asked, thay HAS been done? Why is it so hard to throw shrimp on a grill? Please, make any of this make sense!!!! I'm done and woukd rather drive to Hochatown to get my food, before I let yall waisted my time again!!! A simple phone call would have helped the entire thing. Even though its absolutely ridiculous to not do something you've done and that would be easier than frying. Atleast I would of have time to call something in somewhere else OR simply find something else to eat there. I stayed away for a long time because of the ridiculousness of yall last time I was here. Thinking it may be different stay, I figured I'd give it a 2nd chance. But I was wrong! Thanks David Beards. I appreciate all my time you've waisted and the fact the you can't do something a week later that you've done before (and is super easy).

The facade from the road is rather unassuming. No glamor or glitz. Upon entering the restaurant, everything changed. We were greeted with a smile by a gentleman who held the door for us. There are plenty of tables and TVs abundant. Country music playing in the background suggested no theme which added to the charm. The service was refreshing. It was clear that they wanted to ensure an excellent customer experience which exceeded our expectations. And now to the food. I was accompanied by my wife and her uncle. We all agreed that the taste profile was unlike anything we had experienced before; it was off the charts! My wife and uncle had the chicken curry while I had the goat dum biryani. There were generous amounts of meat in each disc, and the spices were definitely fresh and authentic. The flavors did not remind me of something I had eaten in the past, but rather of a comfortable place I had not visited before. The basmati rice and naan were both prepared to perfection. We will definitely return as soon as the mood strikes and will highly recommend to our friends!!
